Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Outfit: Holy Toledo!
What does a First Lady wear on what’s bound to be the most momentous day of her life?
If you’re Michelle Obama, you go with a suit by designer Isabel Toledo.
Michelle, 44, draped herself in a lemon grass-colored outfit put together by the Cuban-born designer and former creative director of Anne Klein, as she watched her husband get sworn in as the 44th President of the United States on the steps of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., this morning.
The outfit, made of lace layered over wool and adorned with sparkle around the neckline, was reportedly purchased via special order from Ikram, Obama’s favorite Gold Coast boutique, the Baltimore Sun reports.
“It was a classic choice and pitch-perfect for the occasion,” opines Nicole Phelps, executive editor of style.com. “But leave it to Mrs. Obama to mix it up a bit—did you see those teal green pumps?”
Forget the shoes; the most important accessory that Michelle sported this morning was the Lincoln Bible, which she held before her husband was sworn in on it.
Didn’t like it. It was too bright and it’s not right to outshine the President on his inauguration–even if it’s your husband. The color drowned her out. It looked like it didn’t keep her warm. Glitter has no place in mid-day. She should have opted for a nice warm coat with a sensational scarf, and held the glitter for the evening! Bad choice. It’s his day. Let him have it. But I blame the designer, not Mrs,. Obama.
Michelle’s outfit looked washed out. She should have worn a darker color – it’s winter for heaven sake! Glitter in the daytime? Michelle, you need a person dresser!
I thought she looked beautiful–warm, positive, calm, composed, and self confident. She projected hope for a bright future for all Americans. Her husband just became the most powerful man in the world; she certainly should wear whatever she wants to wear [as long as the choice is dignified and hers was] and we need to quit judging a woman by her dress choice. I have heard criticism that she was too dressed up, but had she not dressed well others would have complained that her choice did not demonstrate a dignified understanding of the events of the day. Gimme a break….and give her one, too!

One must remember,Black is a neutral color, just as White as well as Gray.The color also matched her complexion.Nancy Don’t be a player Hater!
Sorry, but the dress reminded me of Scarlett’s dress made from drapes. The color was horrible on camera and the rhinestones in the morning were plain tacky. If anyone else had worn this dowdy outfit, the fashion police would be going crazy. It was UGLY!

Michelle is not your average woman, she is the wife of the President of the United States. They are a beautiful couple and she did not take away his glory, she added to it. She looked absolutely beautiful. Get out of the box and expand your brain if at all possible. The dress was faboulas and different which was refreshing.
Speaking of First Lady Michelle Obama:
Michelle Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in her heart and mind she inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
Bush has a lot to worry about.
Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.
