Miley Cyrus Gets Her License, Golden Globe Nod
She was shut out of the Grammy Awards, but what does Miley Cyrus care—she officially became a licensed driver yesterday!
The Hannah Montana pop star was awarded her California driver’s license on Wednesday. She celebrated her 16th birthday last month.
Cyrus’ luck doubled today when Golden Globe nominations were announced. She received a nod for her song “I Thought I Lost You” from the animated hit Bolt.
“I’m so stoked! I never expected to get nominated,” Miley told People. “I can’t believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.”
Bolt, which features the voices of John Travolta and Miley, has earned $80 million at the U.S. box office since its November release.
When asked who she’ll be bringing to the awards ceremony in January, Cyrus stated, “I would love to have two dates. I would love John Travolta to be my date because this is our movie, and Jeffrey [Steele] because he wrote the song with me and he’s such a good friend.”
