Miley Cyrus Popped By Cops for Breaking Cell Phone Law
UPDATE: According to Gossip Cop, Cyrus wasn't pulled over by the police for using her cell phone while driving. Rather, the police arrived to offer the Hannah Montana star assistance with a swarm of paparazzi, after she had called her security team for help. And she was parked when she made the phone call.
The making out with Liam thing, though? Still totally true.
Radar Online reports that the "Can't Be Tamed" singer was pulled over by police in North Hollywood, California, on Monday afternoon, after being spotted talking on her cell phone while driving—a legal no-no in the Golden State.
Cyrus, 17, was reportedly on her way to an appointment at a massage parlor when the run-in with the cops occurred.
It's not known whether Cyrus was issued a ticket or if she was let off with a warning, but the infraction carries a base fine of $20 for the first offense—which would be unlikely to put much of a dent in the Hannah Montana sensation's wallet.
Careful, Miley; talking on the cell phone can present a dangerous distraction while driving—though perhaps not as big a distraction as making out with your ex-boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, behind the wheel.
