Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron to Co-Star in Gidget Remake?

Wow, apparently Miley Cyrus really is looking to expand her acting résumé.
Moviehole reports that the Hannah Montana sensation may be starring in a proposed series of Gidget movies, with Cyrus in the surfer-girl title role popularized by Sandra Dee in the 1959 film and Sally Field in the 1960s TV series.
What’s more, Zac Efron and Brittany Snow have apparently been approached for the flicks as well.
Whoa; will Efron be playing Moondoggie to Miley’s Gidget?

OH NOES!!! Gidget, the 1959 version with Sandra dee (which came out BEFORE sally field played her on TV) is my FAVORITE movie. Miley would be terrible. Gidget should be unknown. Also she has to be the perfect combo of innocent girl sweet girl and tomboy. Miley is so loud and out there. NO WAY! Actually Efron wouldn’t be a horrible moondoggie he has a little james darren in him.
All these movie roles seem like rumors. Miley doesn’t even have time to do all them. She has a tour from September-December and in early 2010 she resumes Hannah Montana filming for season 4. I think all these are fake.

Britney Snow would make a MUCH more adorable Gidget. Please don’t let Miley ruin the role. It is such a great movie and tv series.
No, I don’t think this will be a good idea unless they have an amazing script writer as well as director…I think Zac can have known actress as the lead…even Amy Adams or someone else, but not Miley Cyrus…she should take a break for now.

the should definitely give it to britney snow. miley cyrus would be absolutely horrible in this movie unless she takes an intensive course in acting months before the movie actually starts filming. gidget is one of my favorite movies and i would be really upset if miley ruined it. oh. and zac efron has no business being in it either.
ewwwwwwwwww hell no miley is not cute enough to play Gidget, nor is she talented enough. As as for efron though hes a good actor Moondoggie needs to be a real man, hunky and rough (not metro). they could do something way better like A,manda bynes, Brittany snow, Amanda Seyfried or Kierstin Koppel all adorable brilliant actresses as for the male lead i think it should be someone less known, maybe a sports star/ actor then u have the ruggedness to him. In other words not Efron and deffently not Miley.
