All I am saying is, if you say that you are a virgin and want to remain that way you should not just talk the talk but also walk the walk. If Miley Cyrus were to say that she wants to be more sexual or wants to be more grown then do it in a classy manner. Honestly, I love this video. I think it was an good idea for her to do this. It’s her way of telling the world, “I’m almost 18, I don’t need your dissaproval anymore, I can do what I want!” “I’m tired of being known as Hannah Montana, I’m Miley, and that’s it!” It’s proving she’s growing up. I think it’s a very cool concept, but I don’t think its Miley, I think its a rip off of Gaga. Secondly, I do like the song. But it’s really not for Miley’s voice. She doesn’t have edge in her voice, so the song just comes off flat. I don’t want to seem like a hater, because honestly, props to her for making it in the business, even though I’m not much of a fan of hers. She’s accomplished a lot for someone her age. So the age thing….Miley is only 17. She does have a lot of young impressionable girls who look up to her, so I think that to be so outwardly sexual, especially so rough and physical with her dancers, is highly inappropriate. But some of the reason it is so sexualized is because sex sells in our society. Which is a very poor reflection on us. Some of the blame must be taken on by societies expectations. However if Miley were more aware of that, maybe she could be the bigger person and do something extreme, like having a modest music video and not continue to convey that to be accepted and to make it you must be willing to expose yourself. Let’s see a video that does well that doesn’t sexualize 17 year olds.

That’s why she’s ending Hannah and doing videos like this, she wants to get older fans and change her image! And how is she teaching 4yr. olds how to be strippers on T.V, she doesn’t act that way on her show. i personally think its a little too racy for a 17 year old to make. When Britney and Christina were around that age they came out with videos like “Sometimes” and “Genie In A Bottle.” Not too risque, then as they got older they came out with “I
m A Slave For You” and “Dirrty” which was fine for how old they were. Miley is trying to grow up too fast, but if you look at Taylor Momsen, she dresses worse than Miley and I think she is a year younger?

i admire Miley Cyrus for taking the courage to step out from the whole Disney shadow, not to diss Selena Gomez or anything, but in comparison, I prefer Miley simply because she’s more real. she’s like a genuine actual person who makes mistakes and like most teenagers, she’s still trying to discover herself. i thought that the Can’t Be Tamed video was artistic in the way it was shot and the way it was planned out and from a purely artistic point of view, it was brilliant and sexy and perfectly brought what she was trying to say across.
