Prepare yourselves, people; former O.C. star Mischa Barton is returning to the small screen this fall, on CW's upcoming series The Beautiful Life.
Produced by Punk'd jokester Ashton Kutcher, the series follows the lives of aspiring fashion models who live together in a loft and was envisioned as a companion show for the ever-popular America's Next Top Model.
Barton is so thrilled that the pilot being picked up that the actress, who's currently traveling abroad, rushed to her official Web site to share her joy.
"I'm so excited that even being in a foreign place like Moscow right now couldn't stifle my enthusiasm," Barton writes. "Russia was awesome and so too will it be to relocate to NYC and begin a regimented schedule."
We can't wait either, Mischa! Bring on the aspiring-model catfights!

What an original concept! I'm sure it will be nothing like 'the O.C.', '90210', 'One Tree Hill', 'Gossip Girl', 'the Hills', 'the Hills'' various counterpart shows, etc., etc.. I'm equally as sure that it won't get cancelled after one scandalous, cheating, shagging, car-crash-full season, and I'm ALMOST as sure that Ms. Barton will deliver one of her habitual screen-stealing performances - you know! - the way she did in... 'St. Trinian's'? and... that 'Keds' campaign? I for one can't wait.
just. another copy of THE OC but NOTHING WILL EVER BE LIKE THE OC. NOTHING CAN REPLACE THAT AMAZING SHOW. NOTHING
