Mom-in-Law Dishes on Star Jones Split
It’s an Al Reynolds wrap for Star Jones, yet the usually talky publicitymonger has been laying low while theories swirl on the marriage’s end.
The former View face stepped out of her lair on April 27 to give the commencement address at Lane College, a four-year largely black institution in Jackson, Tennessee, that’s affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
This was only four days after filing for divorce from her high-living, money-grubbing hubby, but lo and behold, Star’s speech was full of be-the-best-you-can-be platitudes and brave pregnant pauses. No mention of Al, or Reynolds, or divorce, or designer-label whoring. God doesn’t smile on divorces, you know.
But now mommie-dearest-in-law is chiming in to In Touch: “He is so hurt and so sad,” Ada Reynolds says of her son. “He did not want this divorce at all. He wanted to stay married. I think Star wanted the divorce, not Al.
“So, where’s the blue boy now? New York Daily News sources say he’s down in Miami licking his conquests wounds. “He hits Mansion, Privé, Mokai and the Florida Room at the Delano four nights a week. Al always has a posse of hot young dudes and scantily clad women with him.”
That sounds about right, minus the scantily clad women.
Always sad when true love comes to an end, dontcha think? Count on it, sooner or later the fat lady will surely sing. She’s just waiting to close a deal with the right sponsor.
