More Tour Woes for Janet Jackson

Oct 5, 2008 at 3:59pm

Sorry, Janet Jackson fans; you’ll have to wait a little bit longer to catch her on her first tour in seven years.

People reports that the singer, who was briefly hospitalized last week for an undisclosed illness, has canceled three more dates on her Rock Witchu tour while she continues to recuperate.

A Greensboro, North Carolina, concert scheduled for Saturday night was postponed after a local doctor said that it was “evident” that she still hadn’t fully bounced back, according to Jackson’s publicist.

Concerts scheduled for tonight in Atlanta and Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale were also put on hold.

Organizers of the Greensboro concert urged ticket-holders to “hold on to their tickets pending a a future announcement regarding the rescheduled date.”

Get well soon, Janet! Hopefully you’ll be able to whip yourself into shape as quickly as possible.

Letters: Stop the torture for mental illness
I was shocked by the photo and the column by Jeff Gerritt ("Punishment instead of treatment," Feb. 5). Please continue to report on this story. It is an outrage that we no longer have appropriate mental health facilities in this state.
