DJ AM, who survived a plane crash that left four dead in South Carolina alongside Blink-182's Travis Barker in September, has filed a lawsuit. AM is seeking damages against the estates of the two pilots who were killed in the crash. He's also suing Clay Lacy Aviation, Global Exec Aviation, Inter Travel & Services Inc, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, and Learjet. AM's suit claims that "rather than proceed to takeoff, they decided to abort and/or reject the takeoff in a negligent manner," according to TMZ. Travis Barker has also filed a similar lawsuit.
Jennifer Hudson will be performing for the first time since the murders of her mother, brother, and nephew in October. She is scheduled to appear alongside Tim McGraw, Josh Groban, and Coldplay at the at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala on Feb. 6, according to Us. All of the performers will be singing the songs of Neil Diamond at the Los Angeles Convention Center in a fund raiser two night before the Grammys. Hudson is nominated for four this year for her debut solo album.

President Elect Barack Obama was photographed spreading the ashes of his grandmother Madelyn Dunham in Oahu, Hawaii yesterday by Bauer-Griffin. Along with family members, the President Elect scattered threw them off a sea cliff. Obama has often described Dunham, affectionately known as "Toot," as having a major impact on his life. She passed away right before Obama won the presidential election in November.
Rapper 50 Cent has fired back against a breach of contract suit filed by Shaniqua Tompkins. Tompkins, the mother of 50's son Marquise, is looking for $50 million in damages, according to TMZ. In response, Cent says that his words were "nothing more than pillow talk and romantic declarations of love" and that "if I ever intended to make that kind of commitment to [Tompkins], I would have married her."
