Generally known as the most politically conservative of the commentators on The View, television star Elisabeth Hasselbeck is said by the National Enquirer to be leaving the show. A source said: "Elisabeth feels she can't win at The View, but she's been told by friends at Fox News that they'd find a spot for her without hesitation."

 

The divorce of New York Yankees star, and rumored paramour of Madonna, Alex Rodriguez from his wife Cynthia Rodriguez has been finalized. The couple released a statement to People: "Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings. They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation. During the negotiations and resolution all decisions were made with the best interests of their children as the paramount concern."

 

Host Pat O'Brien will be leaving The Insider, according to a statement issued by CBS:  "Pat O'Brien has been a part of The Insider family from the very beginning. Everyone at CBS Television Distribution and The Insider greatly appreciate and respect all his contributions to our show. We wish Pat much success in his future endeavors."

O'Brien has had past issues with substance abuse, sexual dependence and rehab. He was recently reported as sending Insider staffers an e-mail critical of co-host Lara Spencer.
