Lynne Spears told Newsweek that she believes the public's support for Sarah Palin over her teenage daughter Bristol's pregnancy is a "hypocritical situation" when compared with how the public allegedly treated her daughter Jamie Lynn Spears during hers. "Every woman in the world has applauded her strength and her convictions and poor little old Jamie Lynn, you saw how she was crucified - everybody did, firsthand," Lynne said. "I just feel like it's been a very hypocritical situation." 17-year-old Jamie Lynn gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann in June.

TMZ reports that Lance Armstong, on the verge of renouncing his retirement from competitive cycling, is reportedly planning on purchasing the French company that owns the Tour De France. The buy is reportedly designed to combat rumors that Armstrong has used steroids in the past.

Us reports that Dane Cook has given up battling eviction from his Los Angeles apartment after other tenants complained that he wasn't cleaning up his dog mess. He previously filed court papers citing that he needed to stay in the complex due to his comedic idols John Belushi and Steve Martin having once lived there. Cook paid for damages, and is now living in a $7 million home in the Hollywood Hills.

People reports that Britney Spears' six-bedroom, six-bathroom Studio City, Calif., home is being sold with an asking price of $7.9 million. Britney lived in the house for less than two years, and is reportedly considering purchasing a home in Calabasas, CA.

Hip-hop artist DMX was brought to an Aventura, Florida emergency room on Tuesday for "fear of a stroke," according to TMZ. DMX was scheduled to make a courtroom appearance in Arizona that day. The rapper has had multiple arrests and prison stays this year for a variety of charges, including animal cruelty and drug possession.
