Reality TV star Whitney Port has responded to the furor caused by Internet photos that seemed to show The City star dealing with a bikini slip on the beach in Miami on Sunday.

Whitney took to her personal website on Tuesday morning to clarify the circumstances of "My Miami Beach Bikini Malfunction."

"Okay so a couple photos were captured while I was in Miami that weren't the most discreet and I'm sorry if they offended anyone but I got too caught up in the sunshine and the weather that I guess I wasn't as cautious as I should have been.

Everyone knows the rough and tumble of the ocean mixed with a bathing suit -- not the most attractive thing ever!  So sorry for the view...very embarrassing to say the least! 

I guess all I can do now is laugh about it and move on!"

We can all move on, but not everybody finds Whitney in a bikini to be a laughing matter.

Whitney Port is wise beyond her years.

With her new reality series The City debuting three weeks ago, it would be all too easy for the Hills alum to collapse into a jangled heap of frazzled nerves and physical exhaustion right about now.

But the 23-year-old—whose series chronicles her new job with fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, along with her efforts to live and love in New York City—obviously understands the importance of winding down.

And so dynamo Whitney took a break to soak up some rays on the beach in Miami Sunday, while filming an episode of The City.

See? Even when she's relaxing, she's working. Careful, girl; you don't want to have your first heart attack before you're 30.

Speaking of working, that bikini that Port is wearing seems to be working pretty well for her too.

Just don't get too sexy, Whitney; with the poor sexual-impulse control that some of your cast mates have displayed, you could have a real incident on your hands.
