The Olympics have been grabbing all of the headlines lately, but there have been other important competitions going on,, too.

Such as the German Miss World 2008 competition. Preselection took place in Berlin on Friday.

One lucky woman will receive a tiara and will know the satisfaction of a job well done. Who knows? Maybe even an endorsement deal with a lederhosen company is in the cards. And, mein Gott, that counts for something.
