The 2009 MTV Movie Awards ratings were up 92% percent from last year, due to host Andy Samberg‘s incredible performance, funny sketches and presenters, and the immense attention surrounding Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and company.

It was the highest rated award show since the 2004 MTV Movie Awards, and was watched by an average of 5.3 million viewers.

The most popular individual clips on MTV’s website have been the Bruno/Eminem crack attack, followed by the New Moon trailer
