Natalie Portman and her freakish folk-singing boyfriend, Devendra Banhart, have broken up, according to In Touch.

It seems like only yesterday that Natalie was dancing in Dev's smelly-looking beard in his music video, "Carmensita". But times change, and Natalie has apparently sobered up from whatever spell Devendra had cast—whether it was love, 'shrooms, roofies, dog pee, or what have you...

A friend of Banhart’s told In Touch, "Natalie and Devendra will remain friends but need some space and time away." Surely, brainy Natalie's male fanbase thinks that sounds "far out" and "right on."
