At least Natalie Portman still has one furry companion she can depend on.

On Thursday, news broke that the V for Vendetta actress had split with her bearded folkie boyfriend Devendra Banhart. That same day she was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport with with her dog Charlie. Is that glum look over the romantic split?

That's the nice thing about dogs, Natalie. Unlike men, they won't turn around and dump on you.
