don’t get me wrong he is nice guy, great singer. BUT WTF? Adam is just THE BEST! his voice is something incredible!!!!

Adam was of course really good, but I beleive Kris will have a better chance at a successful career. Adams brand of rock and roll is completely obsolete right now and Kris’ is just the thing. Im very happy for Kris… he definetly deserves it.

I thought adam was ridiculous!! his incessant wailing is so annoying. I think Kris is a MUCH better artist. Adam’s voice is too much of a throwback and he’s way too into himself. I’m so glad Kris won!!!

Of course Kris deserved to win! His vocals are really strong, and he’s a talented piano and guitar playing. Plus, he sings with so much heart that it’s difficult not to be touched by a Kris Allen performance. Simon is not always right.

BOTH guys are talented in their own way and both will be huge stars of course! I personally liked Kris because he touched my soul with his beautiful voice. He’s more of a regular singer and he plays instruments, like a real ‘singer’!..I think Adam would kick ass in a Broadway performance or something but where is that type of music played these days? Too bad for Adam he wasn’t around in the 80′s cause he would have been a superstar like Sebastian Bach! If Adam would go more screamo he could be more contemporary but I’m not seeing that happen, he loves the glitz and should have a Vegas show!

Adam didn’t win because he only has two ranges. He can sing really soft and calm or it has to be loud and over the top. Kris could sing country, pop, adult contemporary, etc etc.

I love the comments about how Adam should have won – and then they go on to say it’s not about the votes, but about the talent.. would they be saying that if Adam won? America voted, and that’s that. Maybe you shouldn’t call the race before it’s over. Adam had the typical front runner fan base, the same fan base that was crazy for Taylor Hicks and Clay Aiken. Adam will do well in theater, but Kris has way more potential for success in the mainstream music industry. Ultimately, the success of the American Idol is up to the millions of people who DON’T watch American Idol. And as one of those people, I would rather listen to a Kris Allen album than an Adam Lambert one.

First I must say that Adam was clearly the most talented and deserving winner of American Idol! I absolutly loved his voice and style from the moment he first preformed. I thought they were both good…me personally I liked ADAM and wanted him to win! NO MATTER, he will be a huge attraction in this business.
I think this was a blackflash in the Daughtry days of AI. Alot of people assumed Adam was gonna get the majority of the votes and wanted the underdog to receive some soooo thats what happens when you assume….I do wish them both the best in their endeavors….

um you have no idea what you are talking about that “screaming” everybody is talking about is actually an amazing voice of an out of this world singer. Kris is average there is a thousand singers like him. and whoop de woop he plays guitar so do a bazillion other singers who sing in the subways and have people throw money in hats. Whoever doesnt think adam is good is a loser. period. Im amazed they let you into a school of arts if you dont think he is a good performer because you have no taste whatsoever. They should kick you out.

The fact that Adam made it as far in the competition is seriously saying something about that show. The guy is a tool! Okay i just had to respond to this one, you say that there are a million guys that stand around in the subway playing guitar making the comparison to Kris, while holding a torch to Adam like the Judges seem to have done also and for no real reason as far as im concerned! I could go into any Bar after hours when everyone is all liquored up and find a cat fight the shrill shreiking noises comming from the women involved will far surpass that of adam lamberts screaming! as it will have more emotion, the guy cannot sing. Period!

kris did not deserve to win. ADAM SHOULD’VE WON THE TITLE. he deserves it so much more than kris. he has the talent. kris is plain ordinary. very common. very boring. adam continues to bring spunk and surprises every week with his performances.

Idol isn’t about who is the most talented, it’s about who is the most marketable/sellable to the majority of American consumers. Kris is cuter and more appealing to the majority compared to Lambert who is more talented but has a smaller niche glam rock / emo audience to sell to.

Megan I think you are tone deft. I have been a professional musician for over 30 years and their is no contest between Adam and Kris. Adam is the best singer I have ever heard!!! I listen to the song No Bonderies by Kris and I have to turn it off. I am sorry for him that he strains to reach the high notes. After hearing Adam singing it, it does not sound nearly as good. Kris is a good singer but he is no Adam Lambert. Deb Keller
