‘New Moon’ Smackdown: Taylor v. Robert
Look out Robert Pattinson, there’s a sexy werewolf in town.
Twilight’s much anticipated sequel New Moon will allow Taylor Lautner‘s hottie werewolf character Jacob to step up and woo Bella leading-man style—and he might not let her, or the swooning fans, go.
“I think Rob should watch out,” Rachelle Lefevre, who plays Victoria, tells Life & Style magazine. “(Taylor) will make sure his relationship with her is just as intense and has just as much chemistry as Rob’s.”
Indeed, Pattinson is quoted in the magazine piece downing Stella beer and lamenting, “I’ve got two scenes.”
Lautner is ready to get hairy in the big-time role, knowing that once you go wolf, you cannot get enough. He tells the mag, “I wanted to get Twlight over with, let Edward (Pattinson) have his time with Bella and get moving with New Moon.”
“It’s about time Jacob got in there.”

of course taylor will get a lot of attention, jacob becomes a major character in New Moon. That will get the attention off of Bella which will probably be a relief for Kristen Stewart! I can see the tabloids already..who’s hotter? Taylor or Rob? I bet they’ll make it more about taylor vrs. rob than jacob vrs. edward (like it should) . But i have to say that taylor is looking HOT already with all that muscle mass he hass gained!!

yeah right..jacob(taylor) will have his time in new moon but only becoz edaward wasn’t there in those times.for the benefit of those who haven’t read all the books yet, there’s like a lot of times that bella choose edward over jacob..it’s a nice twist though because if jacob isn’t in there then it wouldn’t be that interesting or should i say irritating that you would want to just skip those pages and go to the last instead and find out who end up with bella..hmp!
as for taylor vs rpatz? when i first saw taylor as jacob and knew how big his part would be in the later series i was like, ewww…give jacob black justice!
i think that new moon will definitly be more into taylor lautner and he will be main attraction to paparrazis but i guess its ok cuz hes the lead actor in this film, Rob only comes out in 2 scenes. so give him a chance to prove himself that he is capable of doing a good job even if he is still 17,so what Kristen is just 18 too and look at her know.. Robert is the more expereince man yea but everyone deserves a chance. BTW i dont think kristen and robert would ever hooked up if its up to her, she looks like she only likes to flirt around even if she has a boyfriend but im super impresed that for a girl her age she has lasted a really long time with her boyfriend

robbiepoo isnt even in this movie, he is only in the beginning, and the rest is just with taylor freako, then the ending is just robbie poo again.
There really is no competition at all. I don’t think that this movie would be as big as “Twilight”; due to the fact that the love seens are rare in this book between bella and Edward, which is the attention of all the books. As someone said in an earliar post, those pages of Jacobs characters, was irratating.Mainly because he was out to get her whenher heart was still wounded.I think Jacobs character would only recieve a little fame, but as soon as Edwards character come back in the sceen, he would completely take over the movie + Jacobs role. I feel most ratings would come from the ending of the script, when Edward come back and all the action begins.
There is no way Jacob is eclipsing Edward in New Moon. At least in the book, all I was waiting for was Edward’s comeback, which is absolutely the best part, the climax. The fewer scenes for Robert Pattinson only create more anticipation for his character. Jacob to me was annoying, but he is a teenager.
really tho..seriously..how do you even compare the two? pattinson looks like a drugged out psychopath. his eyes are like..asian..or seriously blazed..taylor is actually attractive? i just dont seee how anybody can compare them…just because tabloids make pattinson out to be hot does not ACTUALLY mean he is attractive..he plays edward..who is supposed to be close to flawless..hes miles from flawles…

What are YOU talking about?!? Obviously you’re the one that needs to do some reading because Bella does say that she loves him almost as much as Edward!
You can’t compare: Rob all the way. LT is just an overworked out short kid. And you can be sure that Rob will be in more than 2 scenes in New Moon. Now that Summit has made him a star, sent him to the Oscars, you don’t think they are going to give him up. Rob made Twilight, he worked his a** off to promote it. Rob is a true star, he was the best looking man at the Oscars, classy like old Hollywood. The director has said that Jacob will be a friend and not a potential lover, there won’t be a love triangle.

my personal opinion is that it will be the same.. i dont think that taylor will get that much more attintion, and robert will always be in the spot light when it comes to who the twilight fans love more.. b/c he does play the main character even if in new moon his part is short.. it doesnt matter.. taylor is to c*cky for his own good anyway!

I agree with you michelle about the books and Taylor’s teeth are sooooo fake and so whittened but i still think he looks like a pretty good guy and sorta’ cute :D

i don’t like the book new moon its depressing because edward leaves bella but i still can’t wait to see the movie though. i think its actually good taylor is gonna be having some spotlight instead of robert its a good thing for his starting career as an actor. well im only 16 but im just really think that. but im insanely in love with robert & taylor.
