‘New Moon’ Spoilers Revealed!

Life & Style dishes some details on New Moon in its latest issue, revealing some crucial variations that the cinematic version takes from the Stephenie Meyer book of the same name.
First off, as has already been revealed, Robert Pattinson‘s role of Edward Cullen has been beefed up from the book version so that, instead of being summoned as a mere voice in Bella Swan’s head, he will appear as an apparition. And apparently, Bella will commit some feat of derring-do and push fate in order to make Cullen appear to her.
Also, the film will include a major action scene in which Laurent battles back against the werewolves out to destroy him.
Perhaps most significantly, while Meyer’s novel has Cullen telling Bella that he will only turn into a vampire if they marry, a very different ultimatum will be used in the movie. Have your say in the comments section: How do you think Edward’s ultimatum will differ in the movie?

The reason the books are so popular is because of Stephanie Meyer’s writing and the story it tells. To change it to fit into society isn’t necessary, people love it as it is…it’ll be disappointing if they stray from the story.
i hope they dont change it to much. i loved every bit of the books (all of them) and really hope nothing changes hope they keep it as close as they can.
I’m not really for Edward being in the movie much, because while reading the book, Bella is very depressed and you feel her pain. I even shed tears while reading the book. I think it is important to the movie that we get to feel her pain, just like we did in the book.
BUT I like the idea of him showing up when she does dangerous things. Because while reading the book when he would “speak” to her, I would imagine his face and him being there to talk her out of it. So seeing it in the movie, was just how i was picturing it in my head.
Either way, I will love the movie. I’m a fan no matter what.
If they change to much im gonna hate it just like the first one.. might as well not even see it, are they seriously gonna make the same mistake twice??

I think that society needs to stop being afraid of marriage. I will be very unhappy if they change his ultimatum into something mundane.
I really don’t think that the marriage condition should have been changed. What else could they possibly have done to make it any better than what it already is? If they take away Edward’s marriage condition, that may only be one small thing that gets changed in the second story, but it’s gonna change way too much for Eclipse. The marriage condition is what the entire third book lingers on, which is why Bella comes up with her condition…. it’s all so dumb. But I guess if Stephenie Meyer is right there making sure the script stays as true to the book as possible, what more can you do. It’s hollywood, ya know.

yaa i definately agree with u, i wouldn’t mind them doing a 4th movie and changing it up alot from the book.
Sara I totally disagree with you. I mean we saw a whole new different side to vampires, and I think thats great. What is not to like about a vampire family who had no hope at all for a family of their own, to get what they wished for? I understand how Renesme may have ruined Breaking Dawn for you and may others but think about it this way, Jacob was sort of the thorn in the side in Edward and Bella’s, I mean I hated it when Bella realised she had feelings for him, because I am team Edward all the way, but in the end it was Renesme’s existance that made Bella forget her feelings of love and attraction for him, and in the end her and Jacob were only friends which worked out perfect for Edward and Bella right?
I will be very, very, very disappointed if they change the Marriage Condition. Edward grew up in the time where you married young. That is what he feels is right. It makes sense that, that would be his condition. Don’t change it, or your changing Edwards morals. Horrible, horrible decision.
its true i think that they shouldnt change the marriage condition. it is an important part of the whole story. either way i hope that they it turns out to be as good or if not better than the twilight.

I disagree with you and Sara. Renesme plays such an important role in the fourth book. Perhaps the both of you are too young to understand that.
Renesme changes everything for everyone. Reproducing was taken away from the vampires and that bothered most of them, especially Rosalie. Bringing that baby into their lives made everyone a little more happy. Also it explains why Bella was in Love with Edward and Jacob. Jacob was so depressed in the fourth book and Bella was the cause of it, but by her bringing in Renesme he found his true love and he is happy again. EVERYONE was happy in the end. How can you not like it? It was perfect in my eyes.
Breaking Dawn was the best book in the series for me even with the whole renesmee spin.
and there is nothing worse than loving a book and having the film makers take creative license and destroy it. I really hope you are mistaken and that they haven’t changed the ultimatum

Um, well don’t be mad, but Edward doesn’t propose to her officially in New Moon. He does bring up his condition to turning her into a vampire though. That condition is of course, getting married to him. In Eclipse, he officially proposes to her. Remember, it was in Edwards bedroom, and Edward really wanted to make it *official*…lol and at first Bella didn’t like it, because she didn’t want people to think of her badly for getting engaged so young.

I think they have to keep the story the way it is. All the books are amazing! And i also love Renesme! By the way the forth book is my very favorite!

i think they should definitely stay with the marrige book because wit out it we would dtill be wating for edward to give but we all know he would give in sooner or later but the marrige tied it together what brought the third a second book with the imorrtal children and the new born vampires.
Guarantee you the new ultimatum will be that Edward won’t have sex with hornbag Bella unless they get married. That girl has the hormones of a teenage boy.
So basically by changing the Marriage Condition your telling all the teens who read this that its ok to have sex, but getting married at a young age isn’t. Now that’s horrible.
Think about it: Changing the Married Condition would mean they wont get married. Meaning that there will be no honeymoon. On the honeymoon is when they have sex and Renesme is being created.
So are the going to make it so there’s no Renesme? Or are they going to make it to where Bella gets knocked up and isn’t married.
So kids remember, Society frowns on young marriage, but hey go ahead and have sex, get knocked up.

Either way the movie goes, I’m sure I’ll love it. I’d prefer if they kept true to the books, as I loved the books but whatever the movie does, I’m sure will be fine. If they differ to much from the books then Eclipse and Breaking Dawn would be too different. It wouldn’t even feel like the books anymore and that would really make people mad.

Why change it seriously .. hard core fans are just going to complain that it isnt like the book … fine change it a little to make the movie short enough but dont go changing the whole story !! its ment to be based on the book .. and plus if that isnt the ultamatium wtf their just going to have to change the rest of the films to suit this story… and again the films are based on the book why change a story that millions of people love xoxo
Ok so the part about Edward being an apparition isn’t that bad.I acutually think it sounds cool because thats always what i kinda pictured. I thought they were gonna so something stupid, like have him actually be there. At least this is better than that. As for the new ultimatum, can’t they just leave well-enough alone??? What else could possibly make sense with the other books?! Hopefully its not she has to say she loves him. I might have to scream. This movie has to be better than the last one!

I agree! the idea of him wanting to get married first is even more sweet considering the way our society views marriage. To me it does a lot for Edward’s cute-factor. I am already disappointed they’re changing it!

I Like the idea of edward appearing in person as bellas visions, but i dont like the change in conditions about the marriage. There is nothing i can think of that would make it better and be able to continue the story for the third book as well…. I was dissapointed in the first Movie but will see the rest just because i love the books so much.
They had better not change it to much because that is one of the only reasons why she jumped to marry him.

As for Reneseme goes she is a huge part of the fourth book which to me was one of the best. I have read it 4 times. The books ar popular because of the way they were written. Please dont stray from the overall picture.

I hope to goodness they do not change Edward’s ultimatum. To be married fits perfect with Edward’s character and the time period he is from (like meeting her Dad officialy). It is also what makes the story so appealing and you want to see them married and you happy for Edward (like he is finally accepting his life) but properly. The fans have read the books and want a movie that does not change important aspects of the story.
I love the boko series but i really hope they don’t change edwards ultimatum because then thats just gonna change it all up and thats wont be good i like his marry ultimatum and they should just keep it that way. It will be no good if they change the ultimatum then that will just ruin evertything and totally ruin it.
