Lindsay Lohan has pulled out of interview with vertan journalist Barbara Walters.

The oft-troubled starlet was scheduled to appear on ABC’s 20/20 program on November 16 for an interview timed to coincide with the release of her Lifetime tele-movie Liz & Dick.

However, Deadline reported the actress’ new publicists at Hollywood firm Rogers & Cowan confirmed to the site that the 26-year-old actress will not be appearing for the sit-down interview.

“A source tells Deadline that Lohan and her new PR team were dissatisfied with the direction ABC wanted to take the interview,” the entertainment news outlet reported.

News of Lohan’s backflip comes after it emerged she faces a return to jail if investigators can prove she lied to officials about her role in a June traffic accident.

The actress told police she was not driving her Porsche, which was totaled after a collision with a trailer on the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu, Calif.

However, according to the Los Angeles Times, investigators have evidence suggesting Lohan lied when she told authorities that she was not behind the wheel of her vehicle at the time of the accident.

Liz & Dick airs November 25.

Jersey Shore charmer Snooki might not always be steady on her feet, but she’s stepping into a whole lot of money these days.

Us Magazine reports that the reality TV guidette commands a mighty steep fee—$20,000, to be precise—to walk the red carpet at events. Not bad, for performing a basic physical task that literally billions of people do every day for free. This, of course, is in addition to the reported $30,000 that the Snookster pulls down for each episode of Jersey Shore.

Snooki (born Nicole Polizzi) isn’t the only member of the GTL crew who’s cleaning up these days—the magazine also reports that The Situation will be raking in about $100,000 for his stint on this season of Dancing With the Stars, while Ronnie takes in “$12,000 to $20,000″ for party hosting gigs.

This calls for a round of fist-pumps—assuming that their fists aren’t too weighed down by massive wads of cash.

It’s been a full year since Dirty Dancing and Ghost star Patrick Swayze disclosed that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The actor recently sat down with Barbara Walters for his first interview on the subject of his health, to air on the Wednesday, January 7, episode of ABC’s 20/20.

“I dropped about 20 pounds in the blink of an eye,” Swayze, 56, tells Walters in the segment. “And then when you see it in the mirror, when all of a sudden, you pull your eyes down and the bottom of your eyes go yellow and jaundice sets in—then you know something’s wrong.

“You can bet that I’m going through hell,” he continues. “And I’ve only seen the beginning of it.”

20/20 points out that Swayze has beat the odds. Most patients diagnosed with his level of pancreatic cancer (stage 4) are usually only given six months to live.

He told Walters that his response to receiving his initial diagnosis was, “Watch me! You watch what I pull off.”

Swayze credits his wife, 52-year-old Lisa Niemi, for getting him through each day with grace.

“Part of me says I couldn’t have made it through without her,” says the Roadhouse actor. “But, of course, the other part of me says I could have, but not nearly as elegantly as I have.”

Meanwhile, Swayze’s new crime series The Beast—in which he plays an unorthodox FBI veteran—debuts on A&E January 15.

Despite what anyone thinks of the actual song, the video for Britney Spears‘ new single “Womanizer” is easily one of her best ever. The girl’s even got her old moves back!

Directed by Grammy-winning music video vet Joseph Khan, “Womanizer” depicts Brit enacting a lot of bump-and-grind revenge on a hapless, uh, womanizer, apparently.

The clip premiered last night on ABC’s 20/20, during the show’s last segment. The “Womanizer” single has been the top download on iTunes since it was made available this past Tuesday.

Will it manage to be Britney’s second #1 hit—after 1999′s “…Baby One More Time”—when next week’s Billboard chart is released?

Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook‘s divorce proceedings were ugly enough for anyone, but apparently there’s still room for more hard feelings.

Newsday reports that Brinkley attempted to obtain a restraining order in Suffolk County, New York, against Cook yesterday.

She sought to suspend his weekend visitation rights with the estranged couple’s two children, Sailor and Jack.

Brinkley argued that an interview with Cook that’s scheduled to air on 20/20 Friday would be inappropriate viewing for the kids.

“[H]e can’t expose [his children] to the 20/20 broadcast,” Brinkley’s attorney, Robert Cohen, said in a statement, adding that the interview amounted to a “distorted one sided view of his marriage.”

Cook’s attorney, Jim Winkler, countered that the order was unnecessary. His client had no intention of viewing the interview with the children during their visit. “Mr. Cook agreed that he would take the children away for the weekend and not expose them to the interview,” Winkler noted.

Acting State Supreme Court Justice Mark Cohen agreed, striking down Christie’s request.

Maybe Peter and the kids can rent Kramer vs. Kramer instead; it couldn’t be any more damaging than what they’re already being exposed to by their parents.
