But, not so fast!

Fey told reporters recently that she and writing partner, Robert Carlock, are definitely interested in doing another series at some point, only not right away.

“It was such a drain on family life — 16, 18-hour days to do a single-camera series,” she groused. “We want to try to figure out a way to do it easier,” adding with a smile, “More easily, would be how you would say it in English.”

No word on what that show might be, but if it’s anything like 30 Rock, critics and fans are in for a treat. Based loosely on Fey’s experience at SNL, 30 Rock won six Golden Globes and 10 Emmys, becoming a TV staple during its seven-season run. The final two-part episode, Hogcock/Final Lunch aired on January 31 to glowing reviews, delivering a proper send off to the show, instead of the usual slow drift toward cancellation.

“It was a very bittersweet ending, but the fact that we knew it was ending was such a great thing,” said Fey. “We were able to say to the network, ‘Can we do these last 13 and be done?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah cause your show’s fricking expensive.”

In fact, the 30 Rock crew were still hauling their stuff out of the offices, making room for Lena Dunham and the gang from HBO’s Girls, which Fey said, “Feels like good karma.”

Looking back on the series, she singled out “The Rural Juror” episode from Season 1 as a favorite. On the episode, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) has a movie coming out and is nervous about its prospects, so she asks Liz (Fey) for feedback, leading to a quarrel.

“We were having a conversation in the writers’ room and someone came out and said, ‘Y’know what word I just flat out can’t say? Rural.’” Fey and Carlock instantly arrived at the name of Jenna’s movie “The Rural Juror.”

“No one can understand it,” laughed Fey. “My movie’s coming out!’ And they can’t understand what the title of the movie is.”

With 30 Rock in her rearview mirror, Fey has two stops ahead. One definite, like The Muppets… Again! currently shooting in London, and another not so definite, Mean Girls, the Broadway musical.

“It’s something we definitely hope to do,” she said. “It takes years and years and we have to get in there and go for it.” When asked if they would consider casting Lindsay Lohan to reprise her role from the 2004 movie, Fey had no comment.

One thing she definitely won’t be doing any time soon is directing, though she’s been asked to several times.

“If there were a guild for backseat directing, I would like to join that, especially on TV where the writers can hang around and annoy the director,” Fey grinned. “People ask me, ‘Would you ever want to direct?’ No, no, I just want to annoy the director.”

Below, watch Paul Rudd talk about Admission.

So for those of you east-coasters with lots of extra indoors time on your hands (or west-coasters, too, for that matter), we’ve compiled a list of the top 11 TV shows to catch up on in lieu of the upcoming Spring season.

Whether it’s a show you’ve been meaning to start watching, or a show you miss and want to re-watch, take a look at our list and indulge in the lack of eating, sleeping, or doing anything else kind of binge that is beginning a new TV series. If it’s one of the shows in our list, you’ll be glad you did!

1. Arrested Development. A tongue-in-cheek comedy that tried to gather its footing in mainstream TV. Based around the hilarity that is the dysfunctional Bluth family, the three-season long show had all the right material, but all the wrong publicity. After tepid ratings, the show got cancelled by FOX in 2006, much to the fans’ despair. However, after 6 years of silence, the cast (Jason Bateman and Michael Cera in their breakout roles) and creators reunited to announce the production of a fourth season to be released exclusively on Netflix in May, 2013. After watching the first three seasons, you’ll be itching for the fourth. And with all 52 episodes on Netflix, it only makes sense to start the show from the beginning in preparation for one of the most highly anticipated revivals of the season.
Commitment: 3 Seasons, 52 episodes, 22 Minutes each — Approximately 19 hours

2. Downton Abbey. This British show serves as the highest rated show to ever air on PBS, creating buzz all over the American TV world. With an explosive cast including Harry Potter‘s Maggie Smith, and awards being thrown at the show left and right, it’s been called “one of the best shows Britain has ever created.” The best and worst part about British shows is that they have short seasons. All three seasons are available to buy on itunes, which includes episodes that haven’t aired yet, here in America, giving us the entire British soap opera series at our fingertips — including this season’s striking finale.
Commitment: 3 Seasons, 25 episodes, 45-66 Minutes each – Approximately 20 hours.

3. Breaking Bad – It’s almost impossible to have a conversation these days about TV without mentioning AMC’s Breaking Bad. This show has been raved about from the day it first premiered back in 2008, catapulting its stars, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, into super-stardom. The show’s fifth season is returning in March, so now is the perfect time to catch up with TV’s hottest meth makers, fresh off of a successful Emmy season.
Commitment: 5 Seasons, 54 episodes, 47 minutes each – Approximately 42 hours

4. House of Cards. This is the first original series to be produced and aired exclusively on Netflix, meaning that it could be a hit or miss of a show. Critics and viewers agree that the show is a hit, and is fit to be aired on a more public platform. The all star cast, including Kevin Spacey, and the curiosity alone will make you want to watch. There is really no reason to not watch this show. The entire first season of 13 episodes is available on Netflix, and so far, the first season can’t be watched fast or often enough. There’s as much quality as there is quantity.
Commitment: 1 Season, 13 episodes, 45-60 minutes each – Approximately 13 Hours

5. Mad Men. When Mad Men premiered in 2007, it quickly became the frontrunner of a series of AMC hits. Set in the fascinating venue of 1960′s New York, this drama will get it’s hooks in you from the very beginning. With the first 4 seasons all available on Netflix, it’s easily accessible to get ready for the shows highly anticipated 5th season premiering in April. And if nothing else, the lead is played by Jon Hamm, who is either shirtless, or dressed to the nines in every episode. Enough said.
Commitment: 4 Seasons, 65 episodes, 46 minutes each – Approximately 50 hours

6. The Walking Dead. Everything about this show is unprecedented. AMC took a risk making a show with very short seasons revolving around a zombie apocalyptic world, but if the rave reviews and amazing ratings are any indication, it more than paid off. With all this talk of zombies these days, it’s exciting to get a well-written show giving all the worrying people out there a real take on the eternal question of “What if Zombies actually did take over the world?” Practically speaking, the show has only 2 short, but action-packed seasons all available on Netflix. Also, with Season 3 returning on Sunday, AMC is marathoning Season 2 and the already aired episodes of Season 3 on Saturday and Sunday — set your DVR! So, what are you waiting for?
Commitment: 2 Seasons and 8 Season 3 episodes, 27 episodes, 45-60 minutes each – Approximately 24 hours

7. The Wire. Set in the world of the underground drug trade in Baltimore, this gritty drama is still being raved about years after it went off the air. With a successful five-season run, adorned with awards and great reviews the whole way through, The Wire marked one of the first of many hits from the house of HBO. There isn’t a revival or a premiere coming up for this show. In fact, it came and went, airing the series finale in 2008. It’s just a powerful, unique show that everyone should watch. And if we’re still talking about it despite it being off the air for almost 6 years, that’s got to mean something, right?
Commitment: 5 Seasons – 60 episodes – 50-60 minutes each – Approximately 58 hours

8. Deadwood – Westerns are never out of style. And in the world of cowboys and bar brawls, it doesn’t get any better than Deadwood, South Dakota. This HBO series only got to entertain us for three seasons, but each episode packs enough punch (literally) that you won’t feel the least bit disappointed. Go back to your roots with American’s oldest of successful genres. Deadwood’s an American gem and it’s all accessible through HBOGo for subscribers and iTunes.
Commitment: 3 Seasons, 36 episodes, 55 minutes each – approximately 33 hours

9. Homeland. As one of Showtime‘s most successful dramas, Homeland is sure to be present in conversation, awards announcements, and on TV for years to come. Having just competed Season 2 and Season 3 returning in the fall, the plot will thicken just enough for you start counting the days until September. This political thriller just got Claire Danes her second Golden Globe of the season. It’s a product of our times and sometimes it hits too close to home. It’s on iTunes and, of course, the Showtime Anytime app.
Commitment: 2 seasons, 24 episodes, 50-60 minutes each – Approximately 22 hours

10. Game of Thrones. - This HBO series based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novel series, A Song of Fire and Ice, single-handely put fantasy shows back on the map. Since it’s premiere in 2011, the fictional kingdoms of Westeros and Essos that the show takes place in keep getting more and more intense. Think of it as Lord of the Rings meets The Young and the Restless. Garnering more and more fans every episode, this isn’t a show you want to fall behind in. Who doesn’t like a good (like, really really good) escape into fantasy from time to time? With the aired episodes all available on HBOGo and iTunes, there is plenty of time to catch up before Season 3 continues in March. Now, you have no excuse to not be in the loop!
Commitment: 2 Seasons, 20 episodes, 50-60 minutes each – approximately 19 hours

11. 30 Rock. The comedy series, created by Tina Fey, just came to a heartfelt close after a successful seven season run. The premise of a fictional TV show set inside 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City won six golden globes, and multiple primetime Emmy Awards because of its impeccable cast and writing. Comedy television at it’s finest. Plus thanks to our Eat Like Liz Lemon map, you can indulge in one in all the edible delights of one of TV’s most comedic characters. If you didn’t just watch the series finale, this is a good way to see what all the fuss was about for the last six years. Lucky for you, Seasons 1-6 are available on Netflix. And by the time you’ve completed those, Season 7 might just be available. If not, there’s always iTunes! Season pass, anyone?
Commitment: 7 Seasons, 138 episodes, 22 minutes each – approximately 50 hours

Which TV marathon are you starting first? What are your suggestions for other TV fans stuck inside for Storm Nemo?

“I doubt that many Oklahomans out of the bunch the judges saw will make it pass Hollywood week. It is unfortunate; I did not notice the seriously talented OCU college students auditioning. American Idol should host their auditions at OCU in Oklahoma should they go back there, and the college should encourage the students to audition. Many former OCU students have gone on and pursued performance related careers. I attended many musicals at OCU, and the talent was excellent. Oklahoma was not represented in the best light last night. In the future, I strongly encourage the OCU, OU, OBU and other colleges performing arts majors to show up at the American Idol auditions and represent.” – AnotherOpinion, who has strong opinions about this week’s American Idol.

“I wanted to add that I’ve read comments from fans saying that Henry doesn’t fit canon because John said he was a mechanic from a family of mechanics. I thought about this and realized that it does fit canon if John is referring to his mother’s side of the family. Why couldn’t they be mechanics? As for the older fellow in the diner in 1973 who asks young John to say hello to his old man couldn’t that be a step father? John’s mom would have likely remarried after Henry was gone for so many years?” – Cindy Shufelt Givens, making a good point about Supernatural canon.

Lastly, Blerg had this to say about the series finale of 30 Rock:

During the show’s hour-long episode, I laughed (and thankfully not Lizzed), I cried into my Slanket and managed to devour a sandwich within five minutes — just because Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) taught me that one of the greatest joys in life is to “sit in peace and eat a sandwich” throughout the series’ seven-season run.

In fact, I learned a lot from Liz’s tumultuous journey to “having it all,” and I find that it is only fitting I recap the series’ swansong the only way that was taught: through Liz, Jack (Alec Baldwin) and the whole 30 Rock gang’s shenanigans.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen Thursday’s series finale episode, “Hogcock!/Last Lunch.”

When one door closes, another one opens. Liz may have lost her job as head writer for TGS With Tracy Jordan, but she gained two adopted kids when the show got cancelled. After seven years of dealing with Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna’s (Jane Krakowski) diva demands, Liz finds it hard being a stay-at-home mom, seeking parental advice from a parenting message board before challenging a fellow user — who turns out to be her husband (James Marsden) — to a playground fight. Take that, double Hitler!

Meanwhile, Jack has become the CEO of Kabletown — his dream job — while Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) has replaced him as the president of NBC. (Hardcore fans will remember that this was kind of foreshadowed by Jack on Season 1: “In five years we’ll all either be working for him… or be dead by his hand.”)

However, Jack still feels empty after nabbing his dream job and begins to desperately search of existential happiness — using “sex and awesomeness,” no less.

As the show’s cancelled, Jenna casts her eyes on the TV screen, silver screen, Broadway, then any medium that will have her — even going as so far to travel to Los Angeles to become a dramatic actress before realizing she’s too “old” to fit in with the youthful L.A. crowd.

Failing to find happiness and satisfaction in work, Jack resigns CEO, blaming Liz for his problems. ”You unsharkulated me,” he tells her.

Liz agrees they’ve “ruined” each other with their so-called mentor/manatee relationship and they part ways. Tear.

But, it’s no 30 Rock without some crazy plot twist to force the gang back together. Kenneth discovers that Tracy contract states he must complete his 150th TGS episode or be awarded $30 million as per a settlement. So, Liz and the writers (sans Jack) get a second chance at finishing the show.

Obviously, the first order of business for the TGS crew is picking out their last lunch. Cue the running gag of Lutz’s (John Lutz) horrible lunch choices — this time, he’s chosen Blimpie’s.

Wanting to get away with his millions, Tracy tries sabotage the production by skipping the final taping. Liz tracks him down — in the same strip club they first met, I’m hoping — where he reveals he doesn’t want to do the last episode because he’s afraid to say goodbye. Right in the feels, Trey.

“Unsharkulated” Jack all the while starts giving away his possessions. Pete (Scott Adsit) tells Liz it’s all the sign of a man setting up his own suicide, a premonition that comes true when she finds Jack’s video suicide note in his office. At least, he also left her a link to a funny YouTube video, right?

Liz rushes down to the street just in time to see Jack jump off a bridge. But… he lands safely in a boat below.

Turns out, the depression was just a ruse by Jack, who wants Liz to know that he truly loves her in a platonic way like a mentor would to his manatee, or as the forefathers would have loved “a hot bowl of bear meat.” Jack reveals he has decided to set sail on a voyage to find himself, but only to turn around a few yards from the dock when he comes up with a new idea for GE: clear dishwashers so you can see what’s happening inside.

Fast-forward to one year later: Pete has actually faked his death to start a new life, but is eventually located by his unimpressed wife and kids. Jenna flashes her breasts at the Tony Awards after not winning Best Actress for The Rural Juror. Jack is in charge at GE, presumably thanks to his innovative transparent dishwasher idea. Liz is balancing work and motherhood, writing for a sit-com starring Tracy’s former bodyguard Grizz (Grizz Chapman). Elsewhere, Tracy himself is overjoyed because his dad has finally returned after going out for cigarettes.

Then, flash-forward to some point in the distant future. Cue the running gag that Kenneth is ageless, the NBC head is sitting at his desk holding a snow globe containing the Rockefeller Center building as a young woman pitches him a show that sounds awfully familiar to Liz’s life.

“Based on stories my great grandmother told me,” she says.

“I know,” Kenneth replies. “And I love it.”

And after the credits started rolling, I let everything settle in and wiped a small tear from my eye. Thanks for the seven great years, Liz.

Just because TGS is going dark, and Liz may have to start stocking some real fruit in the apartment for her new kids (you know, in addition to fruit-flavored Pop Tarts), doesn’t mean her spirit and her palate can’t live on.

Celebuzz has highlighted all of Liz’s favorites and the best places to get them, whether you’re stuck at work until all-hours of the night at the GE Building or if you’re on forced sexual harassment leave at home (in Liz’s Riverside Drive apartment, of course).

Take a look at our infographic and read our list below to take your own walking tour of Liz Lemon’s favorite eateries. Click on the pic below for a full size version.

Let’s start with the sweet stuff first because eating dessert before a meal is the one bad eating habit Liz Lemon has managed to mostly avoid. Liz has mentioned, on more than one occasion, that she has consumed 5-12 donuts in one sitting. Thankfully, New York City has a Dunkin Donuts every few blocks, and a couple in easy throwing distance to both Liz’s office (15) and her apartment (4). We can’t guarantee you’ll find your own pregnant, teenage employee to hire as a “Youth Consultant” while you attempt to adopt her baby, but the chocolate cruellers are just as good!

Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) once confused Liz with Cathy (you know, from the cartoon strip), and if you need to get your own “Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate; ack!” fix, there are an abundance of gourmet chocolatiers and candy shops in the city. Liz would stamp her approval on both Dylan’s (11) and Godiva (12).

Now that Liz and Criss (James Marsden) have gotten married and adopted kids of their own, they may need to start scheduling date nights. Jack (Alec Baldwin) planned to take one of his lady friends to Plunder for a $1000 sundae, but never ended up making it there. He settled for McFlurries at a random McDonald’s. But Liz is attempting to have it all, and wouldn’t you know it? She’s finally succeeding, so you need to follow in her footsteps. Real New York’s version of Plunder is Serendipity III (9), but they’re known for Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and a sundae with gold flakes on top!

Of course, through the years, Liz has proven her knowledge of cupcake bakeries around Manhattan. The series finale pays a very special shout-out to Harlem’s own Make My Cake, which seems to be the quintessential sweet spot for Liz today.

Looking for something a little more substantial than sweets, though?

Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse (10) is the perfect place for a giant, juicy cut of steak that Jack would want to watch you eat.

New York is also, of course known for great pizza, as well as street vendors selling hot dogs, roasted peanuts, and pretzels (pro tip: those nuts smell much better than they taste). Be like Liz and stop off at a Generic Hot Dog Cart (14) for a quick bite on the go, or grab a more gourmet dog at Gray’s Papaya (5).

You can run into a pizza joint on just about every other block in Manhattan, but what if you want to make your own Cheesy Blaster? You don’t want to take that hot dog too far before wrapping it in a slice or it will get cold. If you’re stuck at 30 Rock, there’s Harry’s Italian (16) right on the Concourse Level of the building (though you’ll have to hope there’s some jack cheese with which to stuff that hot dog just left over in Liz’s mini-fridge…). Up by Riverside drive, there is a 7-11 (3)* for all your cheese (nacho, too!) needs and then T and R Pizza (2).

* Actually, the 7-11 is a great place to pick up Pop-Tarts and Cheese Doodles, the latter of which are as close to Sabor de Soledad as we can find in this world.

Everyone knows Liz Lemon loves sandwiches more than most things (and we’ll get to that in a minute), but her second favorite food seems to be cheese. So that deserves it’s own special spot(s) on an Eat Like Liz Lemon tour of New York.

Need to hit a bar with some friends but tapped out on drinks and just want to order mozzarella sticks? You wouldn’t be alone. Try One and One Bar (19). To avoid table-flipping rage over someone stealing your mac and cheese from the break room, head to S’MAC (20) for a special dinner. And for plain old wedges of “night cheese,” there’s Ideal Cheese specialty shop (8) or D’Agostino’s Market (7). The market is a great place to get ham, too, assuming you have a wedding dress to use as a ham napkin.

Finally, sandwiches: the reason for Liz living. Now, we’re not going to pretend to know where the Teamsters get their special meatball subs with extra marinara, but any one of these affordable chains use too much bread — so you probably won’t even have to ask for extra, like Liz.

Everyone’s favorite feminist nerd may have wanted to have it all, but she had a whole lot of issues to overcome first.

When we think of good ole Elizabeth Miervaldis Lemon, it is those issues that always first come to mind over her triumphs — though both provided for hearty laughs. From her false pregnancy reading after consuming way too much Sabor de Soledad, to returning to her high school only to learn she was the original Mean Girl, to her being bummed by the word “lovers” (unless it’s between the words “meat” and “pizza,” of course), Liz always made us feel better about our own relationship, professional, and “bathing suit area” problems.

What will Celebuzz miss most about Liz Lemon? Read on for our Top 10 list!

1. Her love of sandwiches and willingness to use them as a metaphor for just about anything. We never thought we’d meet a television character who loved sandwiches more than Friends‘ Joey Tribbiani, but Liz Lemon could give him a run for his money in that kind of culinary devotion. She may have never tried to “save” a sandwich from assumed gunfire, but she did effectively choose a sandwich over a guy when she brought her special Teamster sandwich to the airport. Unable to bring it through security because the container of sauce was more than three ounces, she debated chasing down what ended up not being her dream guy anyway, instead trying to scarf it on the spot so she wouldn’t have to give up the kind of love that never let her down = food love.

2. Her own lexicon. This is, of course, as much Fey’s triumph as it is her fictional Liz’s, but like Saturday Night Live and Mean Girls before it, 30 Rock gave us a number of quotable phrases easily adapted into everyday life by those of us just trying to be like Liz Lemon. “Blerg” is the most obvious; even Anne Hathaway used it when accepting her Golden Globe this year. But, “I want to go to there” has become a thing, too. As has “nerds” as an expression of emotion and “ham napkin,” which has been expanded from just being wedding dress slang to include a number of kinds of clothing options.

3. The parade of terrible choices in men and the part of her that wasn’t willing to settle. Starting as early as childhood, Liz was always practical to a fault about her romantic options. Her pretend wedding to Saul Rosenbear had her sharing her special day with her new stepson, after all! And then the list just declined from there — dummy Dennis who thought technology was cyclical; The Hair who turned out to be her distant cousin; the coffee-delivery guy, Jamie, whose mother she too greatly resembled…; all the way to attractive Doctor Drew who lived in his own bubble of stupidity; and Wesley, who she simply hated. With each (funny but) bad relationship that she sent kicking to the curb, eventually for good, her own self-esteem seemed to bolster for the next guy. She even got to date her equivalent of an astronaut (a pilot), but when he turned not to be quite as she imagined, she didn’t settle for him either.

4. Her forever (though unlikely) friendship with Jenna.Let’s face it, we all have people in our lives who are kind of only still around because we’ve known them for so long, it’s just easier to keep them around, right? Maybe, we had a lot in common when we were younger (in Liz and Jenna’s case, they shared a common goal of wanting to break down barriers for women in comedy), but as time went on and we matured individually, we drifted apart. If Liz and Jenna met each other today, we have no doubt they’d hate each other. But there is something so sweet about them sticking by each other for as long as they have. Remember when they did that magazine cover and Jenna tried to warn Liz not to use the props because the funny photo is always the one they’ll use, embarrassing the crap out of you? That’s a kind of help she wouldn’t share with just anyone!

5. Her ample appropriation of pop culture for her own personal and sometimes selfish purposes. When Liz found out Jack (Alec Baldwin) had three possible fathers, she got oh-so excited at the possibility of a Mamma Mia. She willingly disguised herself as the Joker from Batman in order to clear out subway cars and movie theaters and have private experiences. She dressed as Princess Leia (complete with buns and deep voice) to avoid jury duty. She has taken our own love of pop culture so much farther than simple costumes at Halloween time!

6. The terrible TGS sketches. Let’s be honest: the kind of sketches TGS has aired that have kept them on the air for 100+ episodes are kind of a commentary on how devoid of quality programming NBC is. “Bear Versus Killer Robots” technically may have been more Frank (Judah Friedlander), but what about “Bear and Robot Talk Show” or “Pam, the Overly Confident/Morbidly Obese Woman?” They’re so bad you just have to laugh and enjoy them. Just don’t think too hard about them or you may start to question Liz’s judgement for airing them.

7. Her anti-Carrie Bradshaw everything. Sure, she dressed up as Princess Leia to get out of jury duty, but she also wore her Leia dress as her wedding dress. Liz always knew who she was, and she was always unabashedly and unapologetically a nerd. She made it OK for everyone who didn’t want to prance around Manhattan in insanely impractical high heels and belly-bearing shirts to be okay with it, because she went so far in the other direction. She wore a Slanket at her desk, not because it was product placement but because she just liked it. And on laundry days, she wore her bathing suit because she was out of clean underwear. She celebrated the weird things women do, but rarely want to talk about.

8. Her righteous indignation. Who else would buy up all the hot dogs from a street cart just because some “wang” had formed a second line, and she wanted only to reward the “good people” in the real line?

9. The fact that we’ll never get to see what Liz’s kid(s) will be like or how much of an influence she’ll have on Liddy. When Jack realized he was kind of old to be having a baby and therefore might not be around to see the kid through the tough times in life, he made a series of videos to teach the kid all he thought was important. Of course, that was when he thought he was having a boy. Then he learned the baby was a girl, and he enlisted Liz’s help. Personally, we’ll miss simply getting to hear her attempt to impart her wisdom on her friends and co-workers every week, but being able to shape a complete, new life, too? We want to go to there!

10. And of course, her judgmental but oh-so-perfect eye roll. ‘Nuff said.

The one-hour 30 Rock series finale airs Thursday at 8PM on NBC.

Apart from dropping unforgettable one-liners, the NBC series has also dealt out life lessons regarding love, life and — most importantly — food as we follow Liz (Fey) and and her mentor Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) journey to “having it all.”

Seeing how the show is starting its long farewell to TV in an extended series finale, Celebuzz is looking back at the top 30 things we learned from 30 Rock.

“I would rather have us go out when we’re on top of our game,” Grizz Chapman, who plays Tracy Jordan’s (Tracy Morgan) right-hand man of the same name, told us of the series’ conclusion. “We’ve done things that other TV shows haven’t done — ever.”

“We’ve made a very nice, quiet exit,” he added.

What’s in store for 30 Rock’s hour-long finale? A lot of tears, according to the actor.

“I think the true fans of 30 Rock will definitely like how it ends,” Chapman said. “It’s definitely going to be a tear-jerker for all the true fans.”

30 Rock’s series finale airs Thursday at 8 PM ET/PT on NBC.

But the 54-year-old actor and his wife, yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, are staying mum on the rumored mommy and daddy news, according to his rep.

“Our response to baby speculation over the past 18 months has remained the same – when/if @abfalecbaldwin and @Hilariabaldwin have news they want to share, they will share it,” said Matthew Hiltzik, referring to his Tweet. “Until then, we have no comment.”

According to the weekly magazine, the husband and wife are expecting their first baby Baldwin after seven months of wedded bliss. But, the newlyweds have only told close friends and family about their bundle of joy.

“Hilaria has told only really close friends and family she is pregnant, only a close circle she trusts,” a source tells the mag.

“They are both so excited and Alec is so in love with her. He says she is so in love with Alec and he tells all her friends that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him.”

“[Hilaria] has not said much to anyone as far as how far along she is,” added the magazine’s insider. “She is so healthy and a yoga freak, so everyone could tell right away something was different.”

Baldwin, who has a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland, with his first wife, actress Kim Basinger, revealed his desire to expand his family to Piers Morgan in Jan. 2012.

“Oh sure, that would be great,” he said when asked if he’d like to have more children. “That would be heaven. That would be fantastic.”

And added with his signature humor: “I mean, I would be — as my friends said to me, when you have children, typically in a second marriage, when you’re older and you get married again to a woman who would have children, you must always remember that you make sure they attend a college where the commencement ceremonies are held in a facility with a wheelchair accessible ramp.”

The happy couple began dating in 2011 and tied the knot in a lavish NYC ceremony in June 2012.

Unlike ceremonies such as the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards eschewed having a host in lieu of jumping right into handing out statuettes. Nicole Kidman took the stage after an introductory segment and handed out the award for Best Supporting Actor In A Film to Tommy Lee Jones for Lincoln.

Jones wasn’t in attendance – which may have been for the best given his sourpuss disposition – but the stage was soon filled with winners who offered humorous and heartfelt thanks for the honors they received.

Anne Hathaway, on the A-List Humility Tour 2012, expressed gratitude for her Best Supporting Actress win for Les Miserables: “I’m just glad I have dental.”

Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey took home honors for Best Actor and Actress in a Television Series for their performances on 30 Rock, which comes to an end in just a few days. Before thanking her husband, Fey gushed with incredulity at her win (which was her fifth): “Oh my goodness – this is so nice!”

Modern Family triumphed over 30 Rock in the category of Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and the spate of TV-related awards continued with wins for Julianne Moore in Game Change and Kevin Costner in Hatfields and McCoys. Costner, like Jones, was a no-show, while Moore delivered an acceptance speech that referenced the “team effort” of basketball, thanking each of her co-stars by name.

After Dick Van Dyke was honored with a lifetime achievement award – and an accompanying standing ovation – Bryan Cranston was honored for Best Actor for his performance on TV’s Breaking Bad. Meanwhile, Claire Danes described herself as a brand spanking – or “brand spanxing,” she joked about her maternal waistline – new mom when she took the stage to accept her award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Downton Abbey celebrated its first win, and first nomination, with the award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series. Despite rumors that she was suffering from pneumonia, Jennifer Lawrence was full of energy – and typically irreverent – as she accepted an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Daniel Day Lewis won in the Best Male Actor in a Leading Role for his turn in Lincoln, and whether he was being earnest or simply giving another amazing performance, his acceptance speech was a study in modesty and sincere gratitude.

The final award of the night came as a major shock to most, when Argo took home the prize for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture. Its win more or less threw off dozens of awards-season pundits as they attempt to predict the winners of upcoming awards shows such as The Academy Awards. But Ben Affleck’s gushing, overwhelmed speech exuded the kind of excitement that makes these ceremonies what they are: opportunities not only for the performers, or even some specific guild or area of creative discpline, but the entire world to celebrate the power and impact of great art.

A full list of the winners is below:

Best Supporting Actor, Film: Tommy Lee Jones, Lincoln

Best Supporting Actress, Film: Anne Hathaway, Les Miserables

Best Actor, Comedy Series: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock

Male Actor In A TV Movie Or Miniseries: Kevin Costner, Hatfields and McCoys

Male Actor In A Drama Series: Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad

Grizz Chapman, the actor who, duh, plays him, recently swung by the Celebuzz studio to talk about the show’s final episode (January 31) and what about it that ultimately brought a tear to his eye.

“I think the true fans of 30 Rock will definitely like how it ends,” Chapman told us. “It’s definitely going to be a tear-jerker for all the true fans.”

In fact, wrapping production on the show was so emotional, even Chapman says he shed a tear.

“There’s a table where the craft service people prepare the food,” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of the time when we’re shooting, that’s the only place where they have seats. So we’d come there and sit there. Seeing that table for the last time brought a tear to my eye, because me, Tracy [Morgan] … Kevin [Brown], we spent a lot of time together at that table. Tracy Morgan, holding court every day, that was his soap box area.”

“It definitely brought a tear to my eye, not [being able to see] that area for awhile,” he said.

For more thoughts from Chapman, including a tease of how his character will wrap, watch the video, above.

While in the studio, Chapman also revealed his thoughts on how his character, Grizz, evolved over seven seasons, plus his thoughts on what co-star and long-time friend Tracy Morgan is like when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Check that out in the videos, below.

The 30 Rock star and host of this year’s Golden Globes is in “late stage negotiations” to star opposite former Globes host, Ricky Gervais, in the Disney sequel. Fey is circling the leading female role in the film, to be directed by the original Muppet’s helmer James Bobin. If Fey can somehow convince Amy Poehler to cameo, we’ll do anything to see it. “Illegal in 7 states”-type of anything.
Less than 24 hours after Joseph Gordon-Levitt signed on for a role in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For comes word of another big casting announcement.Who joined the ensemble?

Academy Award-nominated actor Josh Brolin has locked down role of “Dwight” in the prequel, a part which was previously played by Clive Owen in the original film. Brolin joins returning Sin City stars Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson for Dame, which will unleash all sorts of bloody violence when it hits theaters on October 4, 2013. [Deadline]

Clutch the pearls – even more casting news! Magic Mike’s Alex Pettyfer is one of the names vying for the lead role in the YA-adaptation Divergent, starring The Descendents’ Shailene Woodley. Newcomers Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and War Horse’s Jeremy Irvine are also circling the role in the film, which could kick off a Twilight-sized franchise for distributor Lionsgate. [Variety]

Michael Bay bypassed the whole press release thing and took to the internets to announce the latest actor to join the director’s Transformers 4. Newcomer Jack Reynor has joined the first film in a planned trilogy, which takes place 4 years after the events of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Reynor stars opposite Mark Wahlberg in the Paramount tentpole, which promises to be just as loud and explode-y as the previous films when it’s released on June 27, 2014. Click here to read more about the casting on Michael Bay’s blog. [MichaelBay.com]

One writer has kicked off the new year by securing a high-profile assignment. Relative unknown Kealan O’Rourke will adapt The Houdini Box for Chernin Entertainment. Based on the book by Hugo Cabret author Brian Selznick, the story centers on a young boy who idolizes the famous magician. Upon receiving an invitation to Houdini’s house, the boy discovers that the magician has died and left the child a mysterious box.
Seth Lochhead, the co-writer of the action thriller Hanna, has signed on to pen the movie adaptation of the popular video game, Shadow of the Colossus. Chronicle’s Josh Trank is attached to direct the fantasy epic for Sony, soon after he completes work on Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot. Your favorite show is back, both in Canada and the US. However, our lucky neighbors to the north are getting the jump on NBC in 2013 as they’ll get the Season 4 premiere on CityTV almost a month early on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. The show will premiere in the US on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 PM according to a tweet from star Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Shirley on the quirky comedy. After she tweeted she said, “Feb 7th is #October19th! Who Knew?! :)” [HuffPost, The Wrap]

Though most New York based TV shows will stay dark Tuesday in the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath, Jimmy Kimmel Live! will broadcast a new show Tuesday from The Harvey Theater at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Guests on Jimmy Kimmel will include Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan, and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman will again tape in front of an empty studio for their late night broadcasts. [EW]

When Hurricane Sandy slammed New York City, it wasn’t just torrential rain and wind that did the damage. A Rockaway, Queens neighborhood was impacted by a huge fire that destroyed at least 50 homes including those which have housed our favorite television characters. The residences featured in NBC’s Seinfeld, FX’s Rescue Me and Woody Allen’s 1987 film Radio Days were all destroyed in the blaze. [Hollywood.com]

In addition to the February premiere of Community, NBC has also announced its midseason premiere dates and changes for debuts from January to March. Three new series will debut on the network: Deception (formerly Infamous) will debut on Jan. 7; 1600 Penn on Jan. 10; and Eva Longoria’s Ready for Love on Mar. 31. In addition, the fourth cycle of singing competition, The Voice, will kick off on Mar. 25/26 with freshman success Revolution returning Mar. 25. The Biggest Loser featuring the return of Jillian Michaels will have a two-night premiere on Jan 6 and 7. Smash will hit the small screen with Jennifer Hudson on Feb. 5. Meanwhile, The Celebrity Apprentice will debut Mar. 3 and Betty White’s Off Their Rockers will come back Jan. 8. [NBC]

NBC’s 30 Rock is going political in anticipation of next week’s presidential election. On Thursday’s episode, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) and Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) will attempt to sway Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) towards their political affiliations and use Twitter to do so. Jack, a heavy conservative, is attempting to get her to go Romney, “Just one tweet from you to your fans and [Mitt] Romney wins. It’ll be historic. The first really, really rich president.” [People]

ABC, NBC, and The Weather Channel are allowing viewers to watch their coverage on their smart phones by live-streaming their news programs this morning for all those affected by the storm. [EW]

NBC has decided against giving us more Dwight (Rainn Wilson) after the final season of The Office concludes this year. The network has decided not to buy the proposed spin-off of The Office. The news was first reported by Wilson on his Twitter account. The pilot may still air as an episode of this season of The Office. [NY Times]

The finale of the Twilight Saga is almost upon us and MTV is ready to bring you everything you could ever want to know about Twilight and Breaking Dawn Part 2. The network’s coverage begins with a special sit down interview, MTV First: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 , with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The interview will include a never-before-seen clip of the new film and will air on Thursday at 8 PM EST. The interview will continue online after the on-air portion. The weekend before the movie’s release on Nov. 15, MTV will have a Twilight Takeover weekend featuring interviews with the cast from years past.
Former Saturday Night Live castmates 30 Rock star Tina Fey and Parks and Recreation’s Amy Poehler will be co-hosting the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 13 starting at 8 PM ET/ 5 PM PT from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

“Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup,” Alternative and Late Night Programming President Paul Telegdy said in a statement on Monday. “Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”

“The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action,” Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly said. “The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show’s 70th anniversary!”

Aside from the movie Baby Mama, the pair have had many opportunities to fine tune their partnership. As Deadline – which broke the story – points out, Fey and Poehler formerly co-achored SNL’s comedic news segment, “Weekend Update.” They will also be only the second duo to host the awards ever.

Additionally, Fey, 42, is a Golden Globe winner while Poehler, 41, has been nominated. Fey is the executive producer, head writer and star on 30 Rock. Poehler produces and stars on Parks and Recreation.

In January, Ricky Gervais hosted The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which was watched by 16.9 million viewers and won its time period for NBC against all other broadcasts, excluding sports.

With the Emmys coming up this weekend, our senior TV editor Jethro Nededog and Access Hollywood correspondent Laura Saltman stopped by The Daily Buzz to discuss what they think will go down on TV’s biggest night.
Who will win Best Comedy? Best Drama? What do we think about host Jimmy Kimmel?

Both Nededog and Saltman agree that there’s no contest: Modern Family will take comedy’s top prize on Sunday Night. Also nominated for the distinguished award are The Big Bang Theory, Veep, Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and 30 Rock.

Saltman adds, “I know a lot of the critics really love Girls but it’s a first year comedy and not a lot of people have seen it yet it’s got a lot of buzz but it’s just not there yet.”

As for Best Drama, Saltman thinks it will be a battle of the AMC giants, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. If Mad Men takes the award it will be the fifth time the drama has won the coveted trophy.

In addition to these AMC shows, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey and Boardwalk Empire are nominated.

Nededog thinks we should be on the lookout for Showtime’s Homeland. The high-paced drama, starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis was a critical favorite last season.

“It’s just so tightly scripted and well-acted,” says Nededog of the contender.

As for host Jimmy Kimmel, both of our experts are looking forward to seeing his reportedly huge prank.

Watch the clip above to hear this and more including our experts take on Kelsey Grammer and his comments about not being nominated.

Who do you think will win this Sunday? Sound off in the comments below!

What was hot on Celebuzz on Friday? The Kardashians and Kayne of course. We also polled our Facebook fans to see who they think are going to take home trophies at the 2012 Emmy Awards. Watch the clip below and find out what they had to say.

Chances are, with a whopping 14 nominations heading into Sunday’s ceremony, the hit ABC comedy will triumph yet again.

But will it be an easy victory?

Maybe not. In fact, for the first time ever, Modern Family faces some relatively strong competition from big-name shows like The Big Bang Theory to, yes, the zeitgeist HBO series Girls.

Of course, we won’t actually know who will win until a name is read on Sunday — but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate, anyway.

Below, get the rundown on the six shows nominated for Best Comedy Series to find out which shows have a chance to win and which, well, don’t.

The Big Bang Theory: It’s a beloved show, both among voters and TV audiences, so if the Academy is sick of Modern Family and wants to honor another network comedy, this would be the place to go. Chances: Good

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Larry David’s much-loved comedy, which has yet to triumph in this category, will once again go empty-handed; the competition is just too strong. Chances: Pretty, pretty weak.

Girls: File this one under, “You never know.” Sure, it only has one season under its belt. But in just eight episodes, it has generated more press, arguments and praise than any other show in this category. As such, it could pull off a jaw-dropping upset the same way Sex and and the City did in 2000. Chances: Seriously, you never know.

Modern Family: It’s the most-nominated show of the lineup, and it already has two-consecutive wins under its belt. A betting man would be wise to predict a three-peat. Chances: Very Strong

30 Rock: Once an Emmys darling, 30 Rock has since become a bit of an afterthought; it hasn’t won a single trophy in two years. Expect a similar event to occur on Sunday — at least here in the Comedy Series category. Chances: Weak

Veep: Although Veep has the potential to become a real Emmys powerhouse in the next couple of years, the newbie HBO comedy feels too fresh to pull off a surprise win here. Look for star Julia Louis-Dreyfus to triumph in the Comedy Series Actress category, instead. Chances: Minimal

“It’s great. It just proves that you can stay around in this business and keep trying and keep working and surviving,” Cho, 43, tells Celebuzz.

“And that’s a really great thing to know,” she continues. “You don’t have to give up on anything. You can keep on going. It’s really a rewarding and beautiful thing.”

With Saturday’s Creative Emmys ceremony approaching, we spoke to the Drop Dead Diva actress and musician about the hilarious role that snagged her the nomination, what it means to her and, of course, what she’s wearing.

Celebuzz: When Tina Fey first asked you to play Kim Jong Il, what did you think?
Margaret Cho: I was flattered and super-excited to do it. I was like, “I want to do this right now. This is the best idea.” I couldn’t do it fast enough. I mean, it was just so exciting.

CB: We don’t see a lot of footage of the guy. How did you decide how you were going to play him?
MC: It was really hard to find sound and image link of him, because it’s really tightly controlled. It was actually impossible for me to really find out what he sounded like. So, I just made him up. He’s really kind of an amalgam of people in my family and people I know. And part of my family is from North Korea, so that helped with the accent. And I look like Kim Jong Il, so that was perfect. I thought it relatively easy to do.

CB: Were you surprised when you found out about the nomination for such an out-of-the-box role?
MC: Yeah. I loved it. I was super-excited. I didn’t expect it, I didn’t even think about it. But, I found out and I was so elated. I’m really excited to go. I think it’s going to be a blast. I’m really honored to be nominated, especially among such great people, so it’s really cool. And I love Ben [Feldman, who’s nominated for his guest role on Mad Men]. So, I’m glad to be there for that.

CB: Do you care about being on the best or worst dressed lists?
MC: Oh, I don’t care. But, I am going to be dressed up nicely. I have made a commitment to myself that I’m going to shave my legs. I promise that I will do that. Ina Soltani is making my dress. She’s just got beautiful designs and she’s just glamorous. She makes clothes for Kim Kardashian. I’m super-excited about it.
