For once, we’re OK with Chord Overstreet giving his voice a rest. It’s his birthday and he deserves to be serenaded.

Hopefully his Glee costars surprised him with a rendition of “Happy Birthday” along with some of the choreography they’ve become famous for mastering.

The now 24-year-old actor has been on the scene for years now, attending red carpet events and showing off his effortless good looks. Celebuzz takes a look back at some of his best moments yet.

“My perfect girl. Hmm, it changes every year. I would have to say it was Brooke Shields there for a while,” Overstreet gushed to Celebuzz on Monday at the Time Warner Cable Sports Launch in El Segundo, Calif.

Though he has never met the Suddenly Susan star, 47, he’s crushing. “She’s just gorgeous,” Overstreet told Celebuzz.

Don’t worry — he isn’t completely a cougar chaser. Overstreet is fond for girls his own age, as well — yet they do have to be sports fans, as Overstreet himself is a huge fan of the L.A. Lakers, especially point guard Steve Nash.

Overstreet dished, “If you can’t find a girl that doesn’t like sports,” he continued, “then you should keep looking.”

Can’t wait until Season 4 of Glee kicks off on Thursday? Here are some fresh spoilers to tide you over, straight from the mouths of the cast.

Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) will be the glee club’s new leader, helping New Directions find its “New Rachel.” (That’s the title of the season premiere episode, in fact.) What happens, however, when the leader needs some guidance of his own?

In the fifth episode of the season, Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) will come back to McKinley High School to lend Artie a hand with a mysterious situation. ”They’re helping me out,” McHale teased to The Hollywood Reporter.

What else did the cast dish about Season 4?

Mike Chang will make his triumphant return to Lima — after his first semester at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago — and while his ex-girlfriend Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) will certainly be on his mind, she’s not Mike’s first priority.

“He’s a mama’s boy so he wants to go back home and see his parents,” Shum. told THR. “He also wants to go for Artie, who has a situation that he needs help on, and Mike comes back and tries to be a good friend.”

As for Tina, she’s going to exercise her bratty side this season. After all, Rachel (Lea Michele) did promise her that she would be lead vocalist this year. Unfortunately, Marley (Melissa Benoist) is going to give Tina a vocal run for her money. Will that drive Tina to the dark side?

“I’ve always [wanted Tina] to be on the Cheerios at some point, so hopefully we’ll see. I’ve been pushing for it,” Ushkowitz revealed, hinting that Tina and Kitty (Becca Tobin) could have an interesting storyline this season. But for now, Kitty’s No. 1 target is head Cheerio Brittany (Heather Morris) — and she’ll do anything to get her way.

Meanwhile, “Richie Poor” a.k.a. “White Chocolate” a.k.a. “Trouty Mouth” a.k.a. Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) will take on more of a mentorship role within New Directions, assuming Finn’s (Cory Monteith) position as the glee club’s male lead.

While Sam unfortunately doesn’t get to contribute to Artie and Blaine’s (Darren Criss) “Boys/Boyfriend” mash-up in the second episode — entitled “Britney 2.0″ — Overstreet said he would like to see the Justin Bieber Experience return. ”I’ve been talking about that with Ryan,” he told THR.

Overstreet also missed out on Glee’s “Call Me Maybe” cover, which features Tina, Brittany, Blaine and Unique (Alex Newell) vying for the honor of being named “The New Rachel.”

Sunday night’s MuchMusic Video Awards after-party got a little Gleek-y thanks to hotties Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet.

The Glee stars were spotted joking around at Club XS in Toronto, Canada after the awards show. Sporting a large afro wig, Overstreet, 23, and fellow castmate Criss, 25, mingled with celebs and took photos with fans.

Jokes aside, the boys were actually there to help out a notable cause.

The event was a fundraiser for MusicCounts, which helps children in Canada get access to music programs through their schools.

As actors who play students in a glee club, Overstreet and Criss know a thing or two about music in schools.

Coachella is underway and celebs everywhere flocked to its famous Neon Carnival on Saturday night. Hosted by A|X Armani Exchange and T-Mobile, the annual bash was packed with famous faces.

On-and-off couple Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet took their rekindled romance to the star-studded event. Around this time last year, the two lovebirds were seen smooching at the carnival — and it looks like this year was no different!

“Emma and Chord arrived together,” a party guest told Celebuzz. “They were kissing by the bar.”

Glee guy Chord Overstreet hit up Coachella Music Festival with on-and-off girlfriend Emma Roberts on Saturday. The couple, who recently reconnect after breaking up earlier this year, looked completely smitten as they walked hand in hand around the festival grounds in Indio, Calif.

Proving chivalry isn’t dead just yet, Chord, 23, literally swept Emma, 21, off her feet and carried her through the polo fields.

Emma and Chord also hit up Condé Nast Traveler Hot List Party at the Bel Air Hotel on earlier on Thursday. A party guest told Celebuzz that the young lovers packed on PDA at the bash.

“They were cuddling near a heater, and were very affectionate with one another,” our source said. “They both were so cute, and looked really happy!”

The couple arrived together, although Emma, 21, took photos solo while the Chord, 23, waited inside the bash. Once finished, the two entered hand in hand.

According to E! Online, this weekend the Scream 4 star and Glee guy spent time together in Venice Beach, as well as attending an Easter church service in Beverly Hills.

After nine months together, Chord Overstreet and Emma Roberts have reportedly called it quits.

“They’re just on two different paths in life,” a source told Just Jared. “They just grew apart and decided to part ways.”

Of the rumored break-up, one source revealed to Us Weekly, “They’re both young kids, they had crushes on each other but the relationship ran its course.”

Just last month though, the Glee actor opened up about Emma on KIIS FM’s On Air with Ryan Seacrest. As for his relationship status with Emma, 20, he said, “We’re having fun and we get along.”

Last week, Emma was spotted in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival. She was busy hitting the slopes with her gal pals and Chord wasn’t anywhere in sight.

While Chord was off Glee, he said he had some time to focus on his music, and focus he did! He’s recording an album!

The men of Glee club were all tuxed-up for the sectionals competition on this week’s episode of Glee titled Hold On To Sixteen, and Cory Monteith and his costars are giving a behind the scenes glimpse into the episode. “I think we’ve had more rehearsals then we’ve ever had before,” Kevin McHale disclosed. 

Cory added, “‘Control’ made me crazy. This is the hardest number we’ve done.” Chord Overstreet made his return to the hit FOX show and said of the experience:

“Back to work, it’s fun. I’m having a blast now. There’s a lot of complicated dance numbers coming up. … The next day [after practicing] I was sore.”

Cory joked about his costar Chord’s stripping job on the show, calling his dance move the “windy city.” “That’s Chord’s fusion to the dance number,” he joked.

Chord Overstreet is back on Glee and we can’t get enough of him! He and the Glee guys were spotted getting into character while filming a new episode for the popular television series on December 6, 2011 in Ventura, CA.

The most talented guys at McKinley High look to be re-enacting a classic scene from the movie Grease. Overstreet  rocks a leather jacket very reminiscent of Danny Zuko, originally played by John Travolta, while Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Harry Shum Jr., and Darren Criss join in on the fun.

Newbie Damian McGinty was also on set just one day after news came that he will be sticking around for additional episodes once his original eight episode arc is up. Congrats, Damian!
