Glee‘s Cory Monteith is turning one year older — and there’s no doubt this Canadian actor has had quite the interesting year, with the most talked about part being his stint in rehab for substance abuse.

But fret not, as it seems Monteith has overcome his demons again (he was also in rehab at the age of 19) as he recently exited his treatment facility and into the arms of his loving girlfriend and co-star, Lea Michele.

Cory Monteith has found his place in the sun.

On the heels of his month-long stint in rehab, the Glee star took time away from the spotlight to soak up rays south of the border with costar and real-life love Lea Michele.

Monteith, 30, and Michele, 26, were spotted sharing a low-key lunch on Tuesday afternoon amidst the palm trees of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where the couple has been hiding out from the real world for a few days.

“Sailing off on another adventure… Putting down the electronics for the next few days,” Michele tweeted of the getaway with her recovering beau. “Gonna rest up mind body and soul! See u soon!”

Monteith — who announced over a month ago that he was voluntarily checking into rehab for substance abuse — completed treatment for substance abuse in late April, when he reunited with Michele in Los Angeles, Calif.

But the couple soon skipped town, with Monteith taking Michele up to his native Canada for some much-needed one-on-one time. While in The Great White North, the pair cheered on the Vancouver Canucks — while decked out in the home team’s gear — as the squad took on San Jose Sharks in Game 1 of their NHL playoff series.

Decked out head-to-toe in Canucks gear, the couple was spotted making faces (and at one point, covering their faces) as the home team faced the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 of their NHL playoff series. (Unfortunately for Monteith, the Sharks won 3-1).

Earlier in the day, Michele, 26, showed her support for her beau’s team on Twitter, along with a selfie:

This is the first public sighting of Monteith, 30, since his post-rehab reunion with Michele on Apr. 26 in Los Angeles.

The Glee star voluntarily checked himself into a rehab facility for substance addiction early last month.

The Canucks and Sharks will play Game 2 in Vancouver on Friday, before heading to San Jose for Games 3 and 4.

Dearest hockey fans in Canada, USA and beyond, it’s officially day one of the 2013 National Hockey League playoffs.

Some of Hollywood’s finest have surely secured their VIP seats for teams like the New York Rangers (Spike Lee), the Vancouver Canucks (Cory Monteith, Cobie Smulders) and the Chicago Blackhawks (Vince Vaughn), teams that will vie for Lord Stanley’s Cup this year.

Glee star Cory Monteith has completed rehab and reunited with his girlfriend Lea Michele, according to E! News.

The 30-year-old actor, who announced nearly one month ago that he was voluntarily checking into rehab for substance abuse, was photographed Friday at Los Angeles International Airport alongside his co-star and off-screen love, Michele, 26.

An eyewitness told E! News the actor looked “very happy, smiling the entire time” and when asked how he as doing by security he responded “good.”

And it looks like the young loves are on their way out of the country with passports in hand, according to the onlooker. Hopefully for bit of rest and relaxation and to spend some much-needed time together.

But when they get return from their jet-setting getaway, the rest of the popular cast is ready and waiting to welcome Monteith back with open arms.

“We’re giving him his time,” Jane Lynch told CB!. “I can’t wait for him to come back and he will.”

“He did a great thing, he did it for himself, he’s a strong and smart, he’s going to be fine.”

Monteith has been open about his battle with substance abuse, having revealed in 2011 that he first entered rehab at the age of 19: “I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too,” he told PEOPLE in 2011. “But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it.”

Cory Monteith’s Glee family stands behind him 100 percent and looks forward to welcoming him back on set with open arms.

It’s been just over three weeks since the the 30-year-old actor announced he had voluntarily checked himself into rehab for substance addiction — a decision co-star Jane Lynch is proud he made.

“He made it for himself, which is great,” she told Celebuzz while promoting belVita breakfast biscuits last week in The Grove in L.A.

“He did a great thing, he did it for himself, he’s a strong and smart, he’s going to be fine.”

McKinley High’s Sue Sylvester may be known for her sharp one-liners, but all jokes aside, Monteith’s decision to get treatment is something she knows all too well. Lynch, 52, has been sober for 21 years.

“We talk about it,” she said.

“He knows he needed to nip it in the bud.”

This is just the latest battle against addiction for Monteith, who revealed in 2011 that he first entered rehab at the age of 19: “I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too,” he told PEOPLE in 2011. “But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it.”

“He’s known the drill, he’s been through this… he got sober really young… so he has to revisit sobriety and reclaim it for himself,” Lynch added.

In recent weeks, Monteith’s co-star and off-screen love Lea Michele, 26, has also shown her support: “I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this,” she told PEOPLE. “I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”

Although the show must go on, Monteith’s character Finn will always have a place among the Gleeks.

“We’re giving him his time,” Lynch said.

“There’s so many people on our show we can write around anybody,” she added with her trademark sense of humor.

“I can’t wait for him to come back and he will.”

This is just the latest battle for the 30-year-old actor; in a 2001 interview, also with PEOPLE, Monteith revealed he entered rehab at the age of 19.

In the aftermath of the news, Monteith has received a slew of support from fans and co-stars, including his real-life girlfriend, Lea Michele.

“I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision,” Michele, 26, told PEOPLE.

Glee — which still has two episodes left in production — will also proceed as scheduled, and address Monteith’s absence in the plot of the show, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Lea Michele isn’t the only Glee star with a rockin’ bikini body.

The 26-year-old showed off her taut figure on Jan. 1 while vacationing in Hawaii with her beau Cory Monteith, but she has some competition in the swimsuit department.

Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn in the FOX series, plus co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Naya Rivera(Santana), have all been spotted in revealing beach wear that shows they’ve been hitting the gym.

And if the pictures aren’t worth a thousand words, each of the starlets have shared exactly how they stay in tip-top shape.

“I love being outside, I love biking – just stuff that’s fun,” Michele told Wetpaint of her workout regime.

Aside from cardio exercise, Rivera makes sure to focus on her lower body and abs by incorporating a series of planks and squats into her fitness routine, according to FitSugar.

“I hate crunches,” the 25-year-old said of her choice to partake in planks instead of more traditional ab exercises.

But it’s not easy finding time to exercise while workin on Glee, Ushkowitz told Seventeen magazine.

“It’s definitely a struggle,” the 26-year-old said. “Luckily we have to dance and rehearse, so we’re always moving.”

Hockey is back.

After nearly four long months of negotiation between the National Hockey League and the Players’ Association, a new 10-year collective bargaining agreement has been reached.

“We have to dot a lot of I’s and cross a lot of T’s,” NHL commissioner Gary Bettman told reporters early Sunday morning after a 16-hour discussion [via NHL.com].

“There is still a lot of work to be done, but the basic framework has been agreed upon.”

“Hopefully within a very few days the fans can get back to watching people who are skating, not the two of us,” NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr added.

Details of when the 2012-13 season will officially start have yet to be announced.

The return of the long awaited hockey season also means famous fans of the game, from Carrie Underwood to Will Ferrell, David Beckham to Cory Monteith, will finally get to return to their seats — and VIP boxes — in arenas across the continent.

Other die-hard hockey fans in Tinseltown include Vince Vaughn, Viggo Mortenson and Elisha Cuthbert, who is engaged to Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf.

Love has been in the air for Glee stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith since before they became an official couple — amid the fact that Michele previously dated actor Theo Stockman while filming the FOX show with Monteith.

Lea is “amazing in every way,” the 30-year-old actor gushed in a recent interview with UK’s Look magazine, finally opening up about their relationship. “I just kind of always knew there was something more. That doesn’t ever really change — I just think you acknowledge it or you don’t… and it changes when you acknowledge it.”

Reciprocating the affection, Michele, 26, said, “He’s just the nicest and sweetest guy in the world. No one knows me better than Cory,” she continued. “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

And apparently love really is blind.

“I love to cook. I think I’m better than I am, thought, because I cooked something for him the other day and I’m not sure he liked it!” Michele admitted. “I made him a little breakfast of my version of an Italian Croque Madame, but I think the eggs weren’t cooked. It was very nice, but he was a good sport!”

The two have reportedly been dating for almost a year after being spotted together in Monteith’s hometown of Vancouver, Canada — where Michele hopes to live one day. They confirmed their romance in August 2012.

Glee star Lea Michele opened up about her best assets in the January issue of Marie Claire – and she wasn’t shy about sharing her adoration for her breasts.

“These babies are great,” the 26-year-old said. “They are my prizewinners.”

“For a while they were out and about, showing off on Broadway every night, then they came to L.A. and were like, ‘No one else looks like me here!’” Michele continued.

In case anyone forgot, Lea Michele is still very much the star of FOX’s Glee — and this week’s episode did a very good job of reminding us that.

But while Rachel shines at NYADA, her former beau Finn (Cory Monteith) is in the middle of a total show choir meltdown after Marley (Melissa Benoist) fainted during New Directions’ first number at Sectionals. Can the show go on even when their female lead can’t?

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “Swan Song.”

The New Directions were disqualified from Sectionals after they fled the stage to help Marley after her fainting spell, which means for first time in four seasons, the glee club has nothing to compete for. Without a victory at Sectionals, that means there’s no Regionals and even worse, no Nationals — gasp!

Now, I know what some of you are thinking: What’s the point? No, seriously, what’s the point of Glee without a big, overdone Nationals performance to look forward to at the end of every season? But I have to admit, I’m excited to see where this could lead. One of the more surreal aspects of the series was New Direction’s need to compete. We’ve all seen the Community spoof at this point, haven’t we? But when you take away the big prize at the end, it gives the writers room to actually develop stories.

However, since this is Glee we’re talking about, there’s no telling that the writers will actually do such a thing, but I have hope that this risky move is for the better. It’s refreshing to see the series break away from its standard formula.

But that doesn’t make Finn any less bummed about the glee club’s loss. After all, he had only been in charge for a few weeks and he’s already letting everyone down. And it doesn’t help when the entire glee club ditches glee to join other extracurricular activities and Sue Sylvester takes away the choir room for her Sue de Soleil.

Just in case you were wondering, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Blaine (Darren Criss) join the Cheerios, Artie (Kevin McHale) joins the marching band as drum leader (obviously), Unique (Alex Newell) signs up for the floor hockey team, Teen Jesus (Samuel Larson) joins a inter-faith paintball league and bros Ryder (Blake Jenner) and Jake (Jacob Artist) join the basketball team.

So while Finn drowns his sorrows in sad Christmas music, Rachel is at the top of her game at NYADA. She’s been personally invited by Carmen (Whoopi Goldberg) to perform at NYADA’s prestigious Winter Showcase. Why? Because she’s Rachel Berry, that’s why. And just like that, Rachel’s obnoxious cockiness is back!

She even stands up to her alcoholic NYADA dance instructor Cassie (Kate Hudson) after she finds herself at the receiving end of Cassie’s criticism. And with Rachel’s newfound celebrity status, she’s not about to take any crap from Cassie. So it’s time for a diva off (NYADA edition).

After a steamy version of Chicago’s “All That Jazz,” Rachel learns she might want to leave the dancing to the professionals. But while she admits Cassie is a better dancer, she knows she’s the better singer. Now she knows she needs to rely on her voice to get her through the Winter Showcase.

Naturally, Rachel turns to Barbara Streisand for inspiration. “Being Good Isn’t Good Enough” was practically made for Rachel Berry, wasn’t it? And just like that, all of NYADA — yes, even Carmen — gives Rachel a standing ovation because obviously, after only one semester at performing arts school, Rachel is the best singer who ever graced the NYADA stage. You might as well drop out now and save your dads some money, Rachel. Clearly, it’s all downhill from here.

Not only did Rachel win over the respect of her peers, she even won over Brody (Dean Geyer). Sorry Finchel fans, but it looks like Rachel has officially moved on. I can’t be mad at her. She’s doing exactly what an 18-year-old college freshman should be doing. I may not be Rachel’s biggest fan, but I do appreciate the fact she didn’t pine after Finn for months and months after their breakup.

As for Kurt (Chris Colfer), he’s become “very active on the NYADA blogs” — after hate watching Treme, of course. However, his second audition doesn’t exactly “wow” Carmen, who calls Kurt’s performances too shallow. She wants to see emotion and depth without the glitz and glam.

So imagine Kurt’s surprise when he’s called to perform in front of the Winter Showcase. His performance of “Being Alive” is a total show-stopper, so it’s no surprise when he gets accepted into NYADA. But what does this mean for Isabel (Sarah Jessica Parker)? I hope Kurt realizes his future is in fashion and not someplace where he has to stand in Rachel’s shadow.

OMG!: When Rachel kissed Brody, I literally gasped. It wasn’t an “OMG-THIS-IS-GREAT-SQUEE.” No, it was more like a “OMG-WTF-WHO-IS-THIS-NEW-RACHEL?”

Thank you, TV gods.: For putting Kate Hudson — and her amazing body — back on my TV screen.

Awk-ward: Wait, so Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Brittany (Heather Morris) are together now? Now, I think it’s cute how Ryan Murphy found a way to reference the “angry lesbian bloggers” who will be upset by this latest romantic development – ”I’m worried they’ll turn on you and get really violent and hurt your beautiful face and mouth.” — but I’m just not feeling it. Sam dated Santana; Santana dated Brittany; Brittany dates Sam. It’s like the circle of life.

Hotness: I would, however, like to see a spin-off starring Sam and his many impersonations. Forrest Gump?! Stop being so cute, Sam.

Fab-u-lous: I don’t know if it was the snow or the holiday knitwear, but when the glee club reunited with Finn to sing “Don’t Dream It’s Over,” I had so many emotions. Finn just looked so happy. Therefore, I’m happy. Jesus, Glee is turning me into such a sap.

Can. Not. Wait.: To see Burt and Kurt reunite in the Big Apple for Christmas! As much as I adore Klaine (and find myself mildly amused by Ryley), my favorite duo on Glee will always be Burt and Kurt.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 8 — A step up from last week, but I could have used more glee time and a little less Rachel. (Did she really have to sing Silent Night too?)

Below, take a look the latest scoop from Glee newbie Blake Jenner. Glee airs Thursdays at 9 PM on FOX. 

Finally! After a five week hiatus, Glee is back and ready to hand jive. Obviously, we all need a bit of a pick-me-up after “the episode that shall not be named.” You know, the one that left us in tears.

So when we last saw Finn (Cory Monteith), he was heartbroken, aimless and stuck in a rut in Lima. Thankfully, Artie (Kevin McHale) asks him to direct McKinley’s fall musical Grease — and subsequently, gives Finn something to live for. Hallelujah! Broody Finn is kind of annoying.

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “The Role You Were Born to Play.”

But poor Finn is still kind of aimless. Cue Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike Chang’s (Harry Shum Jr.) return! They even got a slow-motion walk down the hallway. With a vocal coach and choreographer in place, Finn can totally start casting Sandy and Danny, right? If he only knew where to start… Enter clueless Finn. At least Coach Bieste (Dot Jones) was there to pull Finn out of his one-man pity party.

In search of the perfect male lead, Finn goes scouting in the only logical place: The football field. Enter Ryder Lynn (Blake Jenner), a McKinley football player with a “lazy streak.” He’d much rather break dance in the end zone than actually score a touchdown.

Ladies, Ryder is kind of adorkable. If you’ve seen Season 2 of The Glee Project (just me?), then you know what I’m talking about. So, Finn heads to study hall to convince Ryder to try out for the school musical. And yes, the scene is very reminiscent of Mr. Schue convincing Finn to join New Directions on Season 1.

Although he’s apprehensive at first — I mean, the poor kid hasn’t even had time to see The Dark Knight Rises – one duet with Finn and suddenly Ryder is ready for some grease lightning. Also, Finn and Ryder’s cover of Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero” was pretty much GYRATION STATION. And with that performance, Glee has fulfilled its rock ‘n’ roll number quota.

Now, we already know Ryder struggles with dyslexia, and as his storyline progresses, we’re definitely in store for more emotional Finn/Ryder (Rynn?) scenes. I, for one, can’t wait to see their friendship develop.

Of course, there’s another relationship blossoming on the horizon. With some newfound swagger, Ryder introduces himself to Marley (Melissa Benoist), Finn’s pick to play Sandy. “Your mom rules,” he tells her. Oh my God. That’s too cute. She’s blushing; I’m blushing. This is just all too perfect. Jarley, what? Just kidding… sort of.

All giddiness aside, I really do like the chemistry between Jake and Marley. She’s the sweet, innocent good girl, and he’s the bad boy with a chip on his shoulder. This is the stuff romantic comedies are made of! However, there’s something familiar about pairing Marley with Ryder. He could make her smile, and she could help him read, and they could be Finchel 2.0!

But I digress, Jake is less than happy with this new development. So Kitty (a.k.a Baby Kristin Chenoweth) convinces Jake (Jacob Artist) to audition for the school musical with her.

Elsewhere, Marley and Unique are busy being McKinley’s cutest new BFFs. (I shall call them Uniquely.) Unique is dying to play Rizzo, the “heartless b**** with a heart of gold.” However, Sue (Jane Lynch) is being a major buzz kill. She dubs them ”Tina Stomach Turner” and “Absolutely Stunning Kind-Faced Blue-Eyed Girl.” Even Sue can’t find anything mean to say to Marley. She’s pretty much Sue’s kryptonite.

Sue doesn’t want Unique to play Rizzo. She even goes so far as to threaten Finn. Sue thinks if they cast Unique as Rizzo, it’s not fair to Unique, who will have to handle the public ridicule.

But for Unique, this is just another roadblock on her way to acceptance. ”It sucks to feel like you never know your place,” Wade tells Finn. CUE TEARS. Alex Newell, you are the second best thing to happen to Glee Season 4 (right after Blaine being cast as Teen Angel).

You can say what you want about Glee’s major continuity problems and lack of character development, but when it comes to LGBT issues — whether it be Karofsky, Kurt’s coming out, his relationship with his dad and Blaine, Santana’s coming out and her relationship with Brittany — this series is game changing. And Unique’s story could be the series’ most important storyline yet.

In the end, Finn does the right thing and casts Unique as Rizzo. The McKinley High production of Grease stars Brittany as Cha-Cha, Sugar as Frenchie (so perfect!), Tina as Jan, Sam as Kenickie, Joe as Doody, Blaine as Teen Angel (even more perfect!), Jake as Putzie, Ryder as Danny, and Marley as Sandy. Poor Kitty gets stuck with Patty Simcox.

But that’s not Finn’s only huge decision. With Mr. Schue headed to Washington — with or without Emma! — he tells Finn he wants him to take over the glee club. UM, WHAT? This is a brilliant idea for two reasons: 1. No more Mr. Schue. I mean, of course, we’ll have to deal with him for holidays and special occasions, but that’s OK. 2. It gives Finn something to do that isn’t just directing a high school musical.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: When Finn called Sue’s baby “retarded,” I nearly lost it. Every once in a while, Finn’s tongue works faster than his brain. Remember when he outed Santana in the hallway? Not so becoming, Finn.

Thank you, TV gods: For one episode without going back-and-forth between New York and McKinley. Don’t get me wrong: I love Kurt and sometimes, I even love Rachel, but it was nice to spend an entire hour at McKinley.

Awk-ward: Ouch Jake. Losing your girl to a total Glee newbie is rough. Luckily, I’m a sucker for a good high school love triangle. Also, Tina, how’s your “Make Change Forever” tattoo looking these days?

Hotness: Blaine as Teen Angel is pretty much music to my ears. Anyone else?

Fab-u-lous: Unique as Rizzo! Now that is a scene I can’t wait to see.

Can. Not. Wait.: For Kate Hudson’s return! Cassandra July — and her abs — have been missed.

Glee‘s Lea Michele is the latest celebrity to be branded with the baby bump rumor after she was snapped wearing baggy clothes.

In response, the actress, 26 — who is dating co-star Cory Monteith, 30 — has addressed the rumors, telling fans they are “fake.”

Instead of being annoyed at the speculation, though, the Fox star took to Twitter to boast about how the rumor means she’s truly hit the big time.

“My first fake pregnancy rumor! I’ve finally made it! :),” Michele tweeted on Monday.

The photos that sparked the baby news showed Michele in loose-fitting clothes, taking time out from her busy schedule to get a manicure and pedicure in Studio City, Calif., on Oct.20.

But perhaps the tiny tummy she was sporting was actually the result of some snacking indulgences.

The day after her pampering session, she took to the social networking site to tell her fans about her football-and-food-filled Sunday. “Perfect Sunday watching football and cooking:),” she wrote.

After three seasons of on-and-off romance between their characters, Michele and Monteith went public with their off-screen romance in August.

Blake Jenner won the role of a lifetime when he was given the opportunity to star on a seven-episode arc on FOX’s hit series Glee as McKinley High football player, Ryder Lynn.

However, given Jenner’s good looks, charisma and the fact showrunner Ryan Murphy has already compared him to Glee star Cory Monteith, chances are, 20-year-old Jenner will stick around for more episodes than his Glee Project prize allots him. In fact, Jenner could be the show’s newest heartthrob — and Monteith doesn’t seem to mind.

In fact, Jenner will even share a duet with the 30-year-old actor during Ryder’s debut episode, “The Role You Were Born to Play.” The two will take on Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero,” and according to Jenner, the song doesn’t disappoint.

“It’s really epic,” Jenner told Celebuzz at the premiere of FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum on Saturday. ”It’s really awesome. It’s a crazy, crazy ride!”

What else did Jenner dish about his onset “big brother”? 

“Cory is the best actor. I learned so much just by working with him. The other day were on-set, and he was just giving me advice and telling me stories about his life… about acting and the choices that he makes… He’s just awesome. He’s like a big brother.”

As for his Glee character, Jenner said when it comes to the high school jock, there’s more than meets the eye. Murphy recently revealed Ryder suffers from dyslexia — and his learning disability will serve as a dramatic storyline for the newbie.

“He’s gotten to where he’s at by himself,” Jenner explained. “He doesn’t want anybody’s help because he doesn’t want to feel weak, and he doesn’t want to feel dependent on anyone, so you’ll get to see him finally let go of all that… I think it’s something that a lot of people can relate to, whether you’re dyslexic or you just have something [bottled inside].”

Ryder will also try out for McKinley’s fall musical, Grease. While we’re not sure if he’ll land the lead role of Danny, it does look like sparks fly when he meets good girl Marley (Melissa Benoist). Watch out, Jake (Jacob Artist)!

Break ups are the worst. And in case you forgot that, FOX’s Glee is here to remind us with this week’s tear-fest episode, “The Break Up.”

The musical comedy has often been maligned for its surreality, but “The Break Up” is an example of everything Glee does well: The emotion, the music and the LOL-worthy one-liners were all on display this week, making it one of the series’ standout triumphs. If loving Glee is wrong, then I don’t want to be right — especially, if this is a sign of what’s to come. And watch out Glee hate-watchers, this may be the episode that sucks you back in.

Now gleeks, if you want to keep reading this recap, make sure you grab a box of tissues first.

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “The Break Up.”

OK, I’m just going to rip this emotional band aid right off: Finchel is dunzo. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never been the biggest fan of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn’s (Cory Monteith) relationship. Don’t get me wrong: I think they’re — rather, they were — cute in that high-school-geek-bags-the-captain-of-the-football-team kind of way. However, after Thursday’s episode, I’ve never waved my sad little Finchel flag higher.

Let’s rewind: No, Finn did not freak out at Rachel for walking in on her “date” with Brody. Instead, Finn is just sad. His military career ended after two weeks when Rachel accidentally shot him in the leg. No, not his girlfriend Rachel — his rifle Rachel. He then spent the last few months backpacking through Georgia before he ended up on Hummel Berry’s doorstep in Brooklyn. He didn’t call Rachel, because he didn’t want her to think of him as just another “Lima loser.”

Ever the optimist, Rachel believes now that Finn’s in New York, he’ll realize that he wants to go to NYADA and they can live happily ever after on the Upper East Side. Unfortunately for Rachel, her plan backfires. Instead of feeling inspired — a la Woody Allen — Finn feels overwhelmed and intimidated by the big city.

Meanwhile, back at McKinley, Blaine (Darren Criss) is struggling to adjust to Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) hectic new work schedule. I mean, when hate-watching Treme is your only date night, you know there’s a problem. So feeling neglected, he starts Facebook messaging a boy named Eli. I told you to grab your tissues, gleeks!

Blaine and Eli have a bit of a tryst. But before things could become too serious, Blaine flies to New York to be with Kurt. With Finchel and Klaine now reunited in the Big Apple, Rachel wants to celebrate — with karaoke, of course!

But when Finn declines Rachel’s offer to sing with her — yes, there’s a reference to “Don’t Stop Believin’” — she calls her go-to karaoke partner, Brody (Dean Geyer). And what song does she decide to sing with her NYADA bestie? Demi Lovato’s ode to starting over with someone new, “Give Your Heart a Break.” Oy vey. 

Then, Blaine twists the knife a little deeper and delivers a tearful rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” You know, the song he sang the day he met “the love of his life,” Kurt? NBD. Criss crying/singing face was almost too much to handle.

However, Blaine’s cover was a little too tearful for Kurt. And when he approached his sorrowful beau, Blaine came clean about his tryst with Eli — and poor Kurt ran away in tears.

Meanwhile, with Finchel, Finn is feeling insecure about Rachel’s friendship with Brody. And when he asks her if anything happened between the two of them, she admits that she and Brody had “only” kissed. That was enough to drive Finn back to Lima — but not before Finn, Rachel, Kurt and Blaine sing No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” in the middle of Brooklyn.

But Finn’s not the only familiar face back in Lima. Santana (Naya Rivera), who refuses to do laundry in St. Louis, is home for a steamy weekend with Brittany (Heather Morris). However, Brit’s too tired from all of her late-night Rapture studies to pay attention to Santana’s college woes. Now that Brittany isn’t McKinley’s student council president, she’s decided to pre-occupy her time with the Jesus Club 2.0.

Kitty (Becca Tobin), the new president of the Left Behind Club, is on a mission to prepare everyone for The Rapture, even if that means organizing a fake Rapture and name-dropping Kirk Cameron in every other sentence. To put it lightly, Kitty is cray-cray — but at least she’s a fun cray-cray and not a psycho cray-cray like Quinn on Season 3.

In fact, Kitty is so crazy, Jake (Jacob Artist) decides to forgo his seat at the popular table and break up with her. However, judging from the chemistry between Jake and Marley (Melissa Benoist) — hereby known as Jarley — he probably won’t stay single for long. Can we just talk about how cute Jake was when he caught Marley with her free lunch tickets? Instead of making her feel humiliated, he showed her his own free lunch tickets. Jake is officially on his way to becoming one of my favorite New Directioners.

Now, back to the breakups. With Kurt ignoring every one of Blaine’s calls and messages, it’s safe to say that Klaine is on hiatus. I may or may not have — OK, definitely did — shed a few tears when Kurt threw away Blaine’s note.

As for Santana, after serenading her lady love with an amazing cover of Taylor Swift’s “Mine,” she tells Brittany that she wants to put things on hold for right now. HEART = BROKEN. I’m sorry Santana, but T. Swift songs are already an emotional vortex for me and then you go and break up with Brittany? I’m. So. Sad. OK, I’ll admit that Santana actually made a very mature decision in ending their LDR (long distance relationship), but that doesn’t mean I can’t be sad about it.

And then there’s Finchel. Oh, Finchel. I don’t know how you managed to break my heart, but you did. Upset that Finn left New York without saying goodbye, Rachel flies all the way back to Lima to confront him. And Finchel fans, it didn’t have a happy ending.

Once again, Lea Michele killed me with her crying face. Michele and Monteith pulled off this scene brilliantly. In fact, it may have been some of the best acting either of them has ever done on the show. When Rachel tells Finn, “You were the first boy who made me feel loved and  sexy and visible. You were my first love, and I want, more than anything, for you to be my last, but I can’t do this anymore. At least, not now. We’re done,” I felt more emotionally invested into this show than I have in seasons. (Side note: When Finn looks at Rachel, a Coldplay song starts to play in his heart.)

Everyone has a first love, and that’s a name that you will undoubtedly cherish forever, but as you mature past your high school life, things change. You can’t be stuck in high school forever. For the first time, our McKinley graduates are moving on. I, for one, am excited for what’s next.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: When Blaine started to sing “Teenage Dream“ through his tears, I nearly started weeping at my desk. For a series that it so grounded in surreality, it may have been one of the most beautiful moments in Glee history.

Thank you, TV gods: For breaking up Jake and Kitty! That’s one breakup that I can get behind. Now, can you please get Jarley together ASAP?! Let me guess: She’s going to be cast as Sandy in the school musical and Jake can be her Danny. It doesn’t get any more perfect than that.

Awk-ward: Excuse me Rachel, but when you’re more excited to see your karaoke partner Brody than your boyfriend, you know there’s a problem.

Hotness: Finn and Blaine win the award for “Best Brooding” during their cover of Duncan Sheik’s “Barely Breathing.” I’d take Broody Blaine over Crying Blaine any day.

Fab-u-lous: The fact that Unique (Alex Newell) suggested Hedwig and the Angry Inch as McKinley’s next musical makes me love her even more than I already did. Sam (Chord Overstreet) would be a perfect fit for Tommy Gnosis. Right?

Can. Not. Wait.: To see Finn get his groove back! He’s being much too mopey and hard on himself these days. What happened to the goofy Finn we all knew and loved? Maybe this new mystery girl will knock some sense into him. Meanwhile, I really need see this guy Eli. Was he just a one-time fling for Blaine? Or is this going to turn into another Sebastian (Grant Gustin) situation? With Nolan Gerard Funk joining Season 4 as a new Warbler, Blaine’s love life is only going to get more complicated. At least Kurt has Sarah Jessica Parker to help him get over his heartbreak.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 9.5 (It could have been a 10, but I had to subtract .5 for breaking my heart and breaking up Klaine. Not cool, Ryan Murphy. Not cool.)

Get ready, Gleeks. Thursday night’s all-new episode of Fox’s Glee, aptly titled “The Break Up,” is a major tearjerker and Celebuzz has the scoop. All of the major couples are tested, and unfortunately, many of them are headed for Splitsville. (Warning: Spoilers follow.)

After Finn (Cory Monteith) showed up on Rachel’s (Lea Michele) doorstep in New York City, the two try to make things work. But small-town hero Finn starts to feel lost in the big city, and Rachel’s good-looking NYADA classmate Brody (Dean Geyer) isn’t helping.

Meanwhile, with Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) demanding new job at Vogue, Blaine (Darren Criss) starts to feel lonely. So he hops on a plane to JFK with a dream and a cardigan (sans bowtie!) to remember how things used to be — back when Kurt was his one and only Teenage Dream. 

And then there’s Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera), who are struggling to make their LDR (long distance relationship) work.

What else can you expect from “The Break Up”? We’ve got the scoop!

1. At least two couples are O-V-E-R… for now.

At least two Glee couples will be dunzo by the episode’s end, and while each pair has a different reason for splitting, it won’t make it any easier for fans. Every couple will, in some way, recall the first time they met — whether it be in the fourth row of the choir room or in the school auditorium — and Glee fans will appreciate the nods to some of the series’ finest episodes. Let’s just say when Finn looks at Rachel, a Coldplay song plays in his heart.

Also, don’t be too sad, Gleeks, there’s always hope for a reconciliation.

2. Someone gets caught cheating.

Flirting over Facebook gets someone in a lot trouble — and yes, it ultimately leads to a devastating breakup. Seriously, Gleeks, get your tissues ready. Meanwhile, another character admits to being attracted to someone else.

3. Rachel and Brody have a karaoke moment that will most likely break Finchel fans’ hearts.

Finn was already feeling like a “Lima loser” when he came to New York, but emotions really come to a boiling point when Rachel decides to sing Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break” with Brody at a karaoke bar in Brooklyn. Apparently, Finn hasn’t even sung in the shower since Nationals and wasn’t really in the mood to polish up his pipes for karaoke. Unfortunately for Rachel, singing a love song with another guy in front of your boyfriend is probably not the best way to cheer him up.

4. Brittana is finally reunited, but it’s not necessarily something to cheer about.

Santana once again serenades Brittany in the choir room, and if her version of Taylor Swift’s “Mine” doesn’t make you run to download it on iTunes, then you’re crazier than Dottie Sagitori (Tina’s assistant). Santana’s musical confession may not, however, be the answer to Brittana’s problems.

5. Marley and Jake have more in common that you might think.

Everyone may be breaking up, but Marley and Jake — hereby known as Jarley — are starting to get closer than ever. Unlike his half brother Puck, Jake isn’t the most popular guy at McKinley. Not only does he risk his relationship with Kitty (and his spot at the popular table) for Marley, but McKinley’s new bad boy starts to open up to the glee club’s new Rachel. Surprisingly, they have more than a few things in common.

6. Kurt and Finn share some brotherly love.

For those of you missing the quasi-brotherly relationship between Finn and Kurt (think: “Grilled Cheesus”), then you have something to look forward to in “The Break Up.” Not only does Finn affectionately adress Kurt as “Little Brother,” but the two also share an emotional scene in which one character bids a sad adieu to the other — with a hug.

7. Kitty gifts Marley — and herself — with new nicknames.

While it probably won’t be too hard to figure this one out, Kitty dishes out three new nicknames, two for Marley and one for herself. And while nothing is quite as good as “Richie Poor,” we think “Soldier of the Lord,” “Itty Bitty” and “Boobless” are great additions to Kitty’s expanding vocabulary of glee-otchy one-liners. Can you guess which one is for Marley?

8. Jesus makes a comeback at McKinley.

The Rapture is coming, Gleeks. With Kitty at the helm of the Left Behind Club, she’s starting to freak everyone out with her Kirk Cameron name-dropping and fake Rapture drills — especially her boyfriend Jake. Luckily, McKinley’s No. 1 glee-otch Santana is back in town, and she’s not going to put up with Kitty’s nonsense.

9. Mr. Schue goes to Washington…

But will Emma give up her dreams to help Will chase his? Come on, Will, Emma has pamphlets to make! She can’t follow you to Washington.

It’s Britney, b—h!

Hopefully, Britney Spears has a sense of humor because after watching this week’s episode of Glee, she’s either going to be overcome with horrible flashbacks or thankful for how far she’s come in the last five years. In “Britney 2.0,” Brittany has one epic meltdown — but can she stage the ultimate comeback?

Back in New York, Rachel and Brody get closer than ever, thanks to the power of Spears’ super steamy catalog. Is this the beginning of the end for Finchel?

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “Britney 2.0.”

Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris) is sad. She was kicked off the Cheerios by Sue (Jane Lynch) for turning her math tests into coloring books. Santana (Naya Rivera) doesn’t have time for their “scissor chats.” And Lord Tubington has ditched her for a gang! So to cheer up Brittany, Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) organizes yet another Britney week. After all, she is Brittany’s namesake.

Even Tina, Teen Jesus (Samuel Larson) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) get in on the Britney action. The trio perform the popstar’s ménage à trois anthem “3″ – and dare I say it, it’s one of the best covers Glee has ever produced in its four-year run. Not only did I finally understand what Britney was saying (“Everybody loves counting” — who knew?), it highlights some of the glee club’s most underused voices. Say what you want about Richie Poor, but he has a nice falsetto.

Unfortunately for Britney, even the New Directions can’t save her from herself. Britney’s downward spiral mimics Spears’ public meltdown in 2007. She beats up JBI (Josh Sussman) with an umbrella, attempts to shave her head in the choir room and even puts the New Directions in jeopardy of losing their national title with a horrendous lip-synched performance (“Gimme More”) for the entire school. Cheetos, 72-ounce sodas and giant pop-tarts are also involved.

Thankfully, Sam is there to pick up her pieces — and initiate Brittany’s epic comeback, which includes tutoring sessions with Mr. Schue and Emma (Jayma Mays), getting herself back on the Cheerios and getting serious about being Class President.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) move into a Brooklyn palace. Sure, it’s not Manhattan, but at least it’s not a shoebox. Not to mention that Bushwick is totally an up-and-coming hotspot for young New Yorkers. It’s only a matter of time before Kurt turns into a Pabst Blue Ribbon-drinking, vinyl-loving hipster. After all, he’s already vying for an internship at Vogue.

Feeling insulted by her dance instructor Cassie (Kate Hudson), Rachel enlists her new friend Brody (Dean Geyer) to help her sex up her tango. Without hesitation, he accepts the challenge, and I can only imagine that thousands of Finchel fans cringed at the site of Brody humping a table while Rachel belted, “I’m not that innocent!” Cassie, on the other hand, was less-than-impressed, dismissing Little Miss Schwimmer as a wannabe sexpot.

Rachel then lashes out at Cassie, saying that she’s just jealous that she lost her shot at becoming a big-time Broadway star because of her explosive temper. Unfortunately for Rachel, she didn’t have the upper-hand in this argument. Now Rachel, what did I tell you about throwing shade at your teachers?

In an effort to cheer her up, Brody visits Rachel — 45 minutes away — in Bushwick. (For those of you who don’t live in New York, this is a very big deal). “I’ve lived here for three years, and I didn’t even know there was a J train.” Oh, Brody. I already despise you. And that was before you ended up at Rachel’s apartment with an orchid and a proposition to take her on a date. I’m starting to really miss Finn (Cory Monteith). However, Rachel is starting to lose hope.

Back at McKinley, things are heating up between Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake (Jacob Artist) — affectionately known as Jarley. The two perform a lovely mashup of Britney’s “(You Drive Me) Crazy” and Areosmith’s “Crazy.” The chemistry between these two newcomers was so strong, I almost forgot Finchel even existed. Marley and Jake’s relationship is reminiscent of Rachel and Finn’s mutual attraction in Season 1. However, Marley is instantly more likable — and Jake is 10 times more interesting. I’m sorry, but who doesn’t like a good girl/bad boy love story?

“Britney 2.0″ also marked the return of some of the glee club’s graduated members: Santana (via Skype) and Puck (Mark Salling). After Jake gets into a lunch room brawl — he was defending Marley! — Mr. Schue sends him to the one person he thinks can get through to him: his half-brother, Puck.

He may have only been on-screen for two minutes, but Puck reminded us why he’s Glee’s unsung hero. Who else could wrap up an entire storyline in less than a minute? It’s not like he had that much time to talk to his bro anyway — he had a Bachelorette contestant waiting for him back in Los Angeles. Puck’s talk managed to knock some sense into Jake, who agreed to join the glee club after his brother convinced him that it made him “a man.”

But just when you think this means that Jarley has a shot, Jake goes and messes everything up by getting together with Sue’s “head bitch” Kitty (Becca Tobin). Of course, this makes Marley sad, and what do you do when you’re sad and in the glee club? You sing a song. For Marley, she chose her favorite Britney song, “Everytime.”

Did this remind anyone else of Rachel’s cover of Rihanna’s “Take a Bow” in Season 1? Marley is definitely the new Rachel — and I love it.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Was I the only one who felt a tiny part of my heart die when Brittany stared at Santana’s unavailable status on iChat?

Thank you, TV gods: For bringing back Emma’s tell-all pamphlets! One of the greatest things about Glee is its self-awareness, and for loyal Gleeks, it was a nice touch that did not go unnoticed.

Awk-ward: Jake, how could you choose Kitty over Marley?! Especially after you two shared a Britney Spears-inspired duet? I. Am. Devastated. But not as devastated as Marley, who totally sang the sappiest Britney song of all-time in front of the entire glee club — and her crush.

Hotness: I’m sorry Brody, but not even your table-humping could distact me from Blaine (Darren Criss) and Artie’s (Kevin McHale) sexy mashup of Britney’s “Boys” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.” These two show just join a boyband now. They already have the moves — and the similar fashion (sweater vest fetishes, anyone?).

Fab-u-lous: Now one throws a diva meltdown better than Kate Hudson. She could even teach Britney a thing or two.

Can. Not. Wait.: For things between Marley and Jake to finally heat up. Jarley may be my new favorite couple. (Don’t worry, Klaine is still my No. 1).
