The news of Mindy McCready’s suicide has rocked through Hollywood and touched some of her closest country music pals.

Everyone from Carrie Underwood to LeAnn Rimes have taken to Twitter to offer their blessings and condolences to McCready’s family.

“I grew up listening to Mindy McCready…So sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them,” Underwood shared with fans late Sunday evening.

McCready’s music-industry friendshave been paying homage to the late singer through tweets and heartfelt messages since the news broke on Sunday.

Chely Wright tweeted, “I will pray for her children and I hope that people are gentle with her memory.”

The “Ten Thousand Angels” singer was found dead Sunday night due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the front porch of her home in Heber Spring, Ark.

The family home was where her boyfriend, David Wilson, also took his life in January.

McCready is survived by her son Zander, 6, with ex Billy McKnight, and Zayne, 10 months.

Four days after President Obama‘s inauguration ceremony, Beyonce is still under fire for her “pre-recorded” performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

The singer has yet to make an official statement about the controversy, but a number of other celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, LeAnn Rimes and Katy Perry, have expressed their support.

Aretha Franklin, who had difficulty singing in the cold weather during Obama’s 2009 inauguration, told ABC News, “she did a beautiful job with the pre-record … next time, I’ll probably do the same.”

HLN host Jane Velez-Mitchell had supportive words for the 31-year-old singer.

Velez-Mitchell noted that it hasn’t been confirmed that Beyonce was actually lip-syncing. “We all know Beyonce can sing, boy can she sing. The worst thing is for somebody to be off-key because it’s freezing and their throat is cold. I’ve seen that happen where you have major stars performing live and you can tell that they’re off their game and that’s not pretty.

“So, I think this was the best case scenario for everybody involved.”

As Beyonce puts this scandal behind her, critics will be closely watching whether she sings live at Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3, where she’s set to perform during the halftime show.

Beyonce‘s “Star Mangled Banner” controversy isn’t over just yet.

The singer faced backlash this Monday following President Barack Obama‘s  presidential inauguration ceremony, in which it was revealed by attendees that the pop star decided to fall back on a “pre-recording” just hours before her scheduled live performance.

Following the bombshell news, fellow celebrity crooners such as Jennifer Lopez, LeAnn Rimes and Aretha Franklin — who performed at the 2009 inauguration ceremony — quickly came to Bey’s defense.

“When I heard the news this evening that she was pre-recorded I really laughed,” Franklin told ABC News. “I thought it was funny because the weather down there was about 46 or 44 degrees and, for most singers, that is just not good singing weather. When I heard that, I just really cracked up. I thought it was really funny, but she did a beautiful job with the pre-record … next time, I’ll probably do the same.”

Franklin, who had a tiff with Beyonce back in 2008, continued that she’s “not surprised” that the 31-year-old went with a pre-recorded track, given the circumstances.

“She wanted her performance to be what she wanted to be, and she realized it wasn’t going to be the way she wanted it to be or she was going to be running a risk,” the soul singer said. “That’s probably why she pre-recorded exactly how she wanted it to be heard.”

Likewise, many other songstresses say they understand the difficulties of performing in cold weather.

“In certain venues and stuff, they do prerecord things, because you’re going to have that terrible slapback,” Lopez said during Tuesday night’s episode of The Daily Show.

“All performers do have to do it at some point,” Lopez added.

Meanwhile, Rimes took to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to air her grievances.

“I’m actually taking up for her on this one,” Rimes said, arguing that using the pre-recorded track may not have been a decision Beyonce made. “There are times when people will ask you to do it, and they will not let you [appear] unless you do it because they want control over what happens.”

Meanwhile, some celebrities don’t even believe the singer faked her performance: while arriving at LAX Tuesday, Katy Perry, who was in the audience for the performance, told awaiting paparazzi that Beyonce “didn’t lip-sync.”

Though she successfully completed a 30-day treatment for anxiety and stress stemming from cyber bullying, singer LeAnn Rimes says she is still afraid of many things in her life — including herself.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 30-year-old admitted to contemplating suicide before she checked into rehab last August.

“I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep,” she said. “I worried that was a possibility [but] I know I would never.”

Aside from dark thoughts, the “How Do I Live” crooner also confessed to worrying about her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, cheating on her with another woman.

In 2009, Rimes and Cibrian, 39, made headlines with their controversial relationship when they both left their respective spouses — actor Dean Sheremet and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville — for each other.

When asked if she ever thinks about her husband cheating on her like he did to Glanville, Rimes replied that the thought has crossed her mind more than once.

“I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn’t say yes, and I have at times,” she revealed, adding that Cibrian had the same concerns about her.

“Speaking for him, I would actually say that’s creeped into his [mind]…I think we’ve been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other.”

Rimes also said that when writing for her latest album, Spitfire, many of the songs regarding infidelity spoke to her and her ex.

“He actually heard the song when I wrote it and, actually, he knew what it was about before I did,” she revealed. “He knew I was feeling feelings. I’m not sure what those were that he knew.”

“It’s a very complicated situation,” she added.

In October, Rimes gave an update on her life to 20/20‘s Katie Couric, admitting, “I feel like I am starting over even though I’ve had all these years behind me. How many people get to [start] over again in this day and age?”

Country singer LeAnn Rimes showed off her incredible bikini bod in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Monday, where she rang in the New Year with her shirtless husband, Eddie Cibrian.

The 30-year-old donned a low-cut fringe bikini, and spent the day riding a wave runner, going for a dip in the water and hanging out on a private yacht.

“Whales everywhere yesterday! Such an incredible way to ring in 2013. Happy new year everyone.” Rimes tweeted on Tuesday.

The trip to Cabo capped off a rough year for Rimes, who in August checked herself into rehab for anxiety and stress. She had also been the victim of vicious cyber bullying, according to her lawyer.

In October, Rimes gave an update on her condition to 20/20‘s Katie Couric, admitting, “I feel like I am starting over even though I’ve had all these years behind me. How many people get to [start] over again in this day and age?”

A few months later, Rimes was back in the headlines after her meandering performance during the Dec. 19 finale of The X Factor led some to believe that she had been drunk.

A lawyer for the ‘Blue’ singer later denied allegations, telling TMZ, “There have been a lot of untrue things said by others and it feeds into this sort of thing.”

Leopard print is huge this fall, but it’s not the only animal-inspired trend to appear in designers’ collections. Lions and tigers and bears have been spotted on dresses, tops, pants, and even shoes (oh my, indeed!).

Set your TVs — LeAnn Rimes is ready to talk, and she’ll be on the small screen with Katie Couric twice.

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old country superstar told her Twitter fans about her Los Angeles taping.

“Picking out my outfit for my interview with Katie Couric tonight. So sweet of her to come to LA because I could make NYC this week,” Rimes wrote.

“She’s such a great lady!” she later added.

Couric echoed with equally positive comments about her guest, who will be featured on an upcoming episode of her talk show Katie and a special Nashville edition of 20/20.

“Thanks, LeAnn, for a great interview!” Couric, 55, wrote on Twitter.

This will be Rimes’ first TV interview since checking herself into a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to deal with anxiety and stress.

Earlier this month, the “How Do I Live” songstress opened up to the Boston Herald about her treatment.

“I’ve been in therapy my whole life . . . I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life,” Rimes told the paper.

“Everyone has an opinion of how I am and how I should be, and now I’m focusing on how I want to be.”

Rimes entered treatment in August after receiving nasty messages on Twitter. The singer later filed a lawsuit in California, claiming that two women, identified as Kimberly and Lexi Smiley, had harassed Rimes on Twitter and illegally recorded a phone call and posted it on the internet.

LeAnn Rimes looked trouble-free as she went Halloween shopping on Tuesday.

The star, who hit up Maddy’s Market in Malibu for some pumpkins and spooky goodies, has had a host of recent dramas — including emergency dental surgery and a stint in rehab.

And there’s a particularly pesky rumor floating around to boot…

Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibrian, 39, have been plagued with reports that their romance is on the rocks. Cibrian was even spotted in Los Angeles without his wedding ring earlier this week.

Rimes, however, quickly took to Twitter following her supermarket outing to let her fans know everything is just fine.

“Lunch with BFF and market for dinner with hubby,” she wrote. “After the weekend I’ve had pure normalcy is welcomed!!!”

After voluntarily entering a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress, LeAnn Rimes has emerged a new person.

In her first post-rehab interview, the country crooner says she was grateful for the break, which she took after being brutally cyber-bullied on Twitter.

“I’ve been in therapy my whole life,” the 30-year-old explained to the Boston Herald. “I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life.”

How is the singer coping now that she’s out of treatment?

“Everyone has an opinion of how I am and how I should be, and now I’m focusing on how I want to be,” she said regarding her new outlook on life.

“I think it’s really hard to deal with Twitter and Facebook and all these social media outlets,” Rimes added. “And it’s hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don’t even know says about you. As much as you said you don’t want it to penetrate, it does, because you’re human.”

Just days after celebrating her 30th birthday, Rimes sought treatment after being harassed by a group of Twitter trolls who sent to “How Do I Live” songstress a series of abusive messages. The users even went so far as to create a website titled LunaticLeAnnRimes, where they derided Rimes’ appearance in photos with husband Eddie Cibrian.

“It has been a campaign of abuse,” a source close to the situation told Celebuzz at the time.

On Aug. 30, Rimes filed a lawsuit at the Los Angeles County Superior Court against Kimberly Smiley and Lexi Smiley, two women she claims were behind the vicious tweets.

In the court documents, Rimes alleges the women — who are supporters of Brandi Glanville, Cibrian’s first wife — had invaded her privacy when they illegally recorded a phone conversation and distributed it on the internet without her consent.

Glanville has since opened up about the situation, tweeting on Sept. 12, “I saw some of the nasty tweets sent to LR they were MEAN but NOTHING compared 2 the ones her paid employees sent me over 2 yrs #hypocrit.”

Brandi Glanville, the ex-wife of LeAnn Rimes‘ husband Eddie Cibrian, tweeted support to one of the women facing a lawsuit from the country music superstar, Celebuzz has confirmed.

The outspoken star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – who has been embroiled in a bitter feud with Rimes since Cibrian walked out on their marriage to be with the singer — called the legal action “unfair” in a message sent to Lexi Smiley via the social networking site on Sept. 8, but which she later removed.

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court the same day Rimes checked into a treatment facility to help cope with anxiety and stress that were reportedly brought on by Twitter attacks, Rimes, 30, claimed Smiley and her mother Kimberly illegally recorded a phone conversation — without her consent.

The “How Do I Live” singer is now suing for invasion of privacy.

What else did Glanville write in the message that has since disappeared?

“Sorry for all u and your mom are going through, it’s unfair,” the reality television star wrote in the message, before adding. “I don’t you guys personally but I will always speak the truth.”

According to sources close to the case, the Smileys are fans of Glanville, though it is not known if there is any tangible connection to the popular Bravo star.

Glanville married Cibrian in 2001 and the estranged pair has two sons together. But in 2009, Cibrian met Rimes, 30, while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights and the pair later tied the knot in April 2011.

While Glanville took down her controversial Twitter message, she has since continued her commentary.

“If I sued every person that ever harassed me on twitter I’d be a GAZZILIONAIRE!’ she wrote in a message which remains on her account.

40-year-old Glanville’s sympathy for Rimes — she previously issued a statement wishing her “all the best” – has seemingly waned.

“I saw some of the nasty tweets sent to LR they were MEAN but NOTHING compared 2 the ones her paid employees sent me over 2 yrs #hypocrit” she posted on Sept. 12.

LeAnn Rimes checked into treatment after cyber bullies launched a vicious attack on her, as Celebuzz first reported. Now, we’ve obtained the Twitter messages which contributed to the country music superstar reaching her breaking point.

The 30-year-old entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress at the end of August.

Celebuzz then learned her unexpected visit to rehab was partly due to months of unrelenting abuse she incurred on the Internet and Twitter.

So what did the abusive tweets say?

One of the most damning tweets allegedly came from teacher, Kimberly Smiley, who Rimes claims illegally recorded a phone conversation between the pair and distributed it on the internet.

In the posting on the social networking site, the Tweeter shockingly branded LeAnn a “f*****” and a “loser” and threatened to wreck her life.

“How about this f*****…you have been talking s*** for months and you can kiss my ass!! F*** You!!! Oh, yeah two can play! Ya wanna?? I have soooo much info, your life will suck more than it already does, you whoa is me loser!!!

Smiley also had a conversation with a number of other Twitter pals in which she was believed to be talking about cashing in on the audio that she allegedly recorded of Rimes, who is married to actor Eddie Cibrian.

“My hubby thought I should’ve milked it & got him a new truck! LOL! ; )” she wrote.

The other women involved in the online discussion also attacked Rimes.

“OH MY HOLY HELL!” one wrote. “I’ve been dying to hear this audio for months!!!! What a psychotic bitch! She’s D.O.N.E”

And another posted: “I’m waiting not patiently at ALL to hear the full tape ;) Happy birthday Leann!!!”

The court documents filed by Rimes alleged that Smiley and a relative Lexi – who are both supporters of Brandi Glanville, the first wife of the singer’s husband, Cibrian – illegally recorded a phone conversation she had with them.

Another online conversation believed to be between Smiley and one of her associates shows her admitting the alleged recording.

“There’s 20 minutes of conversation I recorded. I wish I had recorded the entire convo,” she allegedly wrote. “But my daughter started recording about 15-20 minutes in.”

Rimes is suing, claiming invasion of privacy.

LeAnn Rimes made a grand return to the stage on Friday, just days after entering a treatment program. And Celebuzz has your exclusive look at the 30-year-old’s show, held at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center in Wisconsin.

Rimes, who performed in a relaxed tank, tights and boots, appeared “emotional” during the show, a source tells Celebuzz.

She also talked “once in between the first couple songs for fan support,” the source adds.

Rimes, who is taking a quick break from her 30-day program, will make two more stops in the Midwest this weekend.

The singer is due in Iowa on Saturday, followed by a show in Indiana on Sunday.

According to People, Rimes assured the crowd in Wisconsin on Friday that she was “totally cool and so happy; I think I’m about to cry.”

Her 14-song set, which lasted for about 70 minutes, included material from her upcoming album, Spitfire.

“I’m pissed of at a lot of things, and I just can’t say it . . . so, it comes out in the music,” Rimes said during the show, People reports.

After the show, Rimes took to Twitter to write the following to her fans:

Just over a week after entering treatment for emotional issues, LeAnn Rimes has emerged — but just for the weekend.

The country star is taking a break from her 30-day program — for what her rep called “anxiety” and difficulty with “coping mechanisms” — to see family, friends and, of course, fans.

“I’m on a plane headed to see all my fans in Wisconsin tonight!” Rimes wrote on her website.

“I can’t wait to play, I’m so ready.”

And Rimes will hit the stage more than once over the week.

“EXTREMELY excited to perform for the next 3 nights,” she tweeted. “My sweetness drove me to the airport this morning & I’m on my way! See you there.”

And Rimes made sure she was prepped for her high-flying trip.

“I’ve got a zillion fashion mags, my journal, ipod, water and a butterfinger…I’m all set :),” she shared on her site. “Seems I’ve developed a sweet tooth after turning 30. If that’s all that comes with 30, I think I’m settinling in pretty well. So far, the new decade is treating me great!”

The country musician — who is married to actor Eddie Cibrian — checked into a treatment center on Aug. 29, just a day after celebrating her 30th birthday, after fallen victim to cyberbullying.

Later that day, Rimes’ attorney Larry Stein filed suit in a California court alleging that Kimberly and Lexi Smiley harassed the singer on Twitter — and that the two women illegally recorded a phone conversation and distributed it on the internet.

And though she’s hitting the road today, source tells Celebuzz Rimes will return to in-patient treatment after the weekend. But in the meantime, “I look forward to seeing all of my fans and friends over the next 3 days,” she wrote on her website.

Rimes — who will release her next album, Spitfire, in December — is set to go on a 23-date American tour from October to December.

Leann Rimes, 30, has decided to to donate the proceeds of her cyber-bullying lawsuit to charity if she wins the case, Celebuzz has been told.

“Leann had always planned on giving any proceeds from the pending lawsuits to The Trevor Project,” a rep for the singer confirmed.

“This is a cause she has always been passionate about.”

The country superstar announced on Aug. 30 that she was entering an in-patient treatment program for anxiety and stress.

How is Rimes doing in treatment?

Despite the drama, a pal told Celebuzz that “LeAnn is doing extremely well and very positive about the therapy she is receiving.” The friend went on to add that Rimes will “definitely come out of this a better person.”

Rimes’ Twitter critics — including the Smileys, but not limited to — are a vast army.

They have made no secret since Rimes’ lawsuit was filed last week that they are angry.

They don’t understand why the Smileys are being targeted for simply expressing their views against a public figure in a public forum, according to messages on Twitter.

What may be lost is that the legal issue facing the Smileys is that an unauthorized conversation that was recorded and published in various public media is illegal — not the act of public criticism and “bullying.”

“Our friends Kim & Lexi Smiley are in need of our help!” a blog entry posted Sept. 1 announces.

“They are going to be fighting a court battle against LeAnn Rimes who has more money for, and more experience with, suing people for ridiculous reasons (but I digress).”

The blog entry, on a Blogspot site named Snarky Cow, is written by an unnamed source, who says she lives in Washington, D.C.

According to Twitter messages, her handle is @jana_lamoo.

A request for comment from Celebuzz to the woman was, for the most part, declined.

“If I was going to court against a multi-millionaire with experienced lawyers I’d hope my friends would help me,” she wrote on Tuesday, when contacted by Celebuzz. “I’m only trying to help a friend ~ there is no real story besides that.”

An email to the creator of the Blocked by LeAnn account on Twitter — who has linked to the Smiley defense fund on her page — was not immediately returned.

The donation blog continued, “Several tweeters have shown interest in helping directly by donating money to the Smiley Defense Fund. Above, you will find a ‘Donate’ button that links to PayPal for the express purpose of collecting money to help Kim & Lexi fight the forces of legal evil.”

“Every dollar collected, less the fee that PayPal automatically charges, will be sent to the #TeamSmiley Defense Fund. The only purpose for this is to help our friends defend themselves against this lawsuit.”

It closes, “Kim & Lexi we will do whatever we can to help ~ never forget we are behind you 100%!!!!  ]=0″

In addition, there is “Team Smiley” merchandise for sale, including T-shirts of six different colors, with a smiley face and reading “#teamsmiley.” They cost $20.95 plus shipping.

Some Tweeters now have “Team Smiley” smiley faces are their Twitter pictures — and many use the phrase “Team Smiley.”

The elder Smiley, Kimberly, a school teacher with four children, has said she is a woman of modest means and is shocked to be on the receiving end of Rimes’ lawsuit, which was filed last week in Los Angeles.

Smiley and others have been targeted in legal documents for negative Tweets posted about Rimes — and specifically, Rimes’ attorney Larry Stein alleges, publishing a private tape recording without permission, which was later re-broadcast on Twitter in clips.

Rimes, 30, checked into a treatment facility last week for a 30-day stay to work on what her rep called “anxiety” and “developing coping mechanisms.”

The same day, her attorney announced the lawsuit against the two Smileys.

Brandi Glanville, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and ex-wife of Rimes’ husband Eddie Cibrian, has been on the opposite side of this online social media mess — in the context of fans’ Team Brandi vs. Team LeAnn drama.

Cibrian famously struck up a relationship with Rimes in 2009, while Cibrian was still married to Glanville.

Perhaps surprisingly, members of Team Brandi have not slowed down in their Tweets about Rimes. But in some cases, it has morphed into honest talk about the prospects of the legal attention.

“LR [Rimes] has lots of $ for frivolous lawsuits while the rest of us fabulously but un-famous don’t so everything helps :)” wrote @jana_damoo — the web host of Smiley’s defense fund — on Twitter, Sept. 2.

On Thursday, after Rimes had checked into treatment, Glanville told Usmagazine.com that she “totally supports” the country singer’s decision to enter an in-patient facility.

“My top priority is my children, and at the end of the day we are a family,” Glanville said. “LeAnn is their stepmom, and they love her. I am wishing her all the best, and I hope she will find what she is looking for while in rehab.”

LeAnn Rimes will emerge from treatment personally revamped, a source who has communicated with the country musician several times since last week tells Celebuzz.

“I have spoken to her a few times,” the Rimes pal said.

“LeAnn is doing extremely well and very positive about the therapy she is receiving.”

How else is Rimes doing?

“She’ll definitely come out of this a better person.”

Rimes checked into a 30-day program last Wednesday — a day after turning 30 years old — for what her rep, Marcel Periseau, called “anxiety” and difficulty with “coping mechanisms.”

Later that day, her attorney Larry Stein filed suit in a California court alleging two women, Kimberly and Lexi Smiley, were harassing Rimes on Twitter — and that the two women published an unauthorized recording of a conversation online afterwards.

Rimes goes on an American tour in October through December for 23 dates.

She said recently her next album, Spitfire, will hit stores early next year.
