Lindsay Lohan is setting the record straight.

Just a week before heading to rehab, the Liz & Dick actress sat down with famed reporter Piers Morgan to speak candidly about her drug usage, sexuality and troubled history.

In the interview with The Daily Mail, where Morgan described her as “a damaged, vulnerable young woman struggling to find normality in her often tormented life,” the 26-year-old spilled some surprising truths that would surprise even the most diehard LiLo fans.

Here are 18 things Lohan wants the world to know about her — straight from her own very mouth.

1. She doesn’t use drugs as much as people thinks she does.

“Everyone thinks I’ve done it so many times. But I’ve only done it maybe four or five times in my life. I don’t like it. It reminds me of my dad. I took it four times in a period from about the age of 20 to 23, and I got caught twice.”

2. She doesn’t do hard drugs.

I’ve never taken heroin either, never injected myself with anything, never done LSD. Those things all scare me.

3. She didn’t like alcohol as a teen.

“I was 17 [when I had my first drink]. I got really sick and mom made me sleep with vomit still on me so I’d understand how it felt. I didn’t drink again throughout high school. I was too scared!”

4. She didn’t drink when she was in high school.

“My friends and I would actually pretend to be drunk. And it was more fun. I never rebelled against my parents – I worked hard, I was responsible and I didn’t go to high-school parties.”

5. She takes Adderall to help with her ADD.

“I have severe ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). I can’t stand still. So I take Adderall (a prescription drug) for that, it calms me. I know people who take it to stay up, or girls who take it to supposedly stay slim because it kills your appetite. But I eat all the time. I just take it to stay calm. It works well for me.”

6. She uses tranquillizers — but only when she needs to.

“[I take] Trazodone if I’ve been travelling and can’t sleep from jet lag. But in small doses, I’m not a pill-popper.”

7. She’s tried other drugs.

“Pot, obviously. And ecstasy. I liked that better than the others (giggles). I didn’t drink on it, so I was just chilling. It’s something that a lot of people experience when they’re in college. I just should have known that being in the public eye, someone was bound to say something or try to make some money off it.”

8. She hasn’t taken drugs in a while.

“Probably a year ago. Some pot. But I’m not a stoner.”

9. She’s not a heavy drinker.

“I’ve never been a huge drinker. I’ve never woken up in the morning and had a drink.”

10. She’s straight.

“Yes. I like boys. I like being in a relationship with a guy … I know I’m straight.”

11. She acknowledges her romantic past with Samantha Ronson.

“When I was with Samantha (Ronson), I didn’t want to leave, because I didn’t want to be alone. It was very toxic. And her family controlled anything she did. I still love her as a person. … I think there was a point when I was [in love with her].”

12. She caught her dad cheating on her mom.

“He’d disappeared for five days, so I asked Mum if we could go to my grandmother’s house and see if he was there. I got out of the car when we arrived and I saw him diving into the pool with some woman. So I ran into the house and checked her ID to see who she was. I remember running back to the car, feeling sick. I didn’t tell Mum until we got home. That woman was the one he had a secret child with, which came out in the press recently.”

13. She doesn’t blame her father for what has happened to her.

“I don’t blame anyone but myself. I just didn’t want him in my life at that point because he was causing chaos. He wasn’t being a father.”

14. She does realize that some of her actions were out of line.

“I think my two DUIs were totally irresponsible – a stupid mistake… Everyone thinks I’m this crazy drug addict who shows up late to everything and behaves so badly. But I’m not. I’m bad with timing. I always panic when people rush me. I’m like, ‘I’ll be there half an hour early if you just give me my space and don’t call me every five seconds.’”

15. She’s optimistic about her latest rehab stint. 

“I look at it as a good thing. I can come back afterwards and be fully focused on work.”

16. But she thinks there are also other things she could be doing in that time. 

“I think there are other things I could do instead of going to  a rehab centre that would benefit me more. The best thing they could do for me would be to make me go abroad to different countries and work with children.”

17. She wants to put her career first.

“I’m not concerned about being in a relationship right now. I want to work for a year and then eventually settle down and have children and a husband.”

18. She has no regrets.

“I live without regrets. There are certain things I have done, mistakes that I made, that I would change, but I don’t regret them at all, because I’ve learnt from them.”

My, what a difference a couple of days can make.

Lindsay Lohan traded tears for smiles at the Hollywood premiere of Scary Movie 5 on Thursday, where she arrived looking noticeably happy and healthy in a knee-length black dress.

The look was a stark change from her appearance on Letterman Tuesday, during which she was brought to tears when asked about her upcoming 90-day stint in rehab, set to begin May 2.

“No, I think, to be honest, I’m the happiest when I’m working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life,” Lohan said during the now-famous interview.  ”And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing…and not a curse.”

Scary Movie 5 opens Friday. In it, Lohan has a cameo with close pal Charlie Sheen, whom she posed with at the premiere.

Charlie Sheen is setting the record straight.

Following reports that Lindsay Lohan had recently held up production of FX’s Anger Management by arriving late on set, the Scary Movie 5 actor went on Jay Leno‘s The Tonight Show to clear the air Wednesday night.

“Not on day one,” Sheen said, when asked if Lohan caused problems on set. “Day one was fabulous. She was on time, hit every mark, made us look off our game — which we weren’t.”

“Then we had to deal with day two,” he continued. “It was as though she had us held hostage because she gave us half a show.”

“No, she was a couple of hours late. She was really not feeling well. We just worked around it.”

Likewise, Celebuzz‘s own insider told us that LiLo acted very professional on set.

“Lindsay was such a sport!” the source said. “Charlie loved her. She was happy and wants to come back to the show.”

However, Sheen confessed that the actress, who reportedly had an ear ache that day, also took a few bracelets from set without permission.

“It’s true but it’s not true,” Sheen, 47, said about 26-year-old. “She borrowed some stuff and then was told they would take it out of her paycheck, and she said fine and that’s all it was.”

Previously, Sheen — who will also appear alongside Lohan in the upcoming Scary Movie 5 — had offered to be Lohan’s mentor and written a $100,000 check to cover some of the Mean Girls star’s tax bill.

Lindsay Lohan (in a dress that may or may not make it back to its rightful home in one piece), appeared last night on The Late Show With David Letterman, her first televised interview since November 2012 (scroll down for video).

Letterman, bless his heart, asked Lohan what many an interviewer has been instructed not to ask, diverting our attention away from Scary Movie 5 and her guest spot on Charlie Sheen‘s Anger Management.

“Now, aren’t you supposed to be in rehab now?” Letterman asked.

“Do you not watch anything that goes on? …May 2nd,” Snarkalufugus retorted.

“How long will you be in rehab?”  Letterman pressed on, clearly amused by this entire circus act.

“Three months,” Lohan answered.

Letterman continued the charade, because that’s what you do when Lindsay Lohan is sitting across from you.

“How many times have you been in rehab?”

“Several.”

1, 2, 7…who’s counting?

“And how will this time be different?” Letterman asked her.  ”What are they rehabbing, first of all? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?”

Ah, we’ve hit a nerve.

“’We didn’t discuss this in the pre-interview,’ I’m just saying to everyone,” Lohan said with awkward laugh.

“No, I think, to be honest, I’m the happiest when I’m working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life,” Lohan answered candidly.  ”And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing…and not a curse.”

“Now, do you have addiction problems?”  Letterman asked with feigned seriousness (or genuine?  I can’t tell).

“Now you sound like Dr. Phil,” Lohan answered, her eyes a sort of Mckayla’s-not-impressed.

“Yeah, I’m sorry. Is it, like, alcohol? Do you drink too much?”

“We’ve discussed this in the past,” Lohan told him.

We’re losing her.  Quick, Letterman.  Do something!

“Did we really?” Letterman pondered.  ”When did we discuss – now I’m the one who’s having the blackouts…I oughta be at rehab. For the love of God, what is wrong with me?”

Laughs all around.  Everybody gets a trip to rehab!
