Also soaking up the spotlight at the event was Nicole Richie, channeling ’60s chicness with a long-sleeved, high-neck number adorned with chain detailing across the chest.

Over in the Chelsea neighborhood, Eva Longoria hit high marks with a folded white leather frock at the fashion-forward launch event for Salvatore Ferragamo’s L’Icona leatherwear.

Then there was indie darling Maggie Gyllenhaal, donning a bright-white Prada with ruffling detailing as she toasted the upcoming Great Gatsby remake at Catherine Martin And Miuccia Prada Dress Gatsby Opening Cocktail.

Maggie Gyllenhaal gave birth to her second child, Gloria Ray, just over six weeks ago — but she was back on the publicity trail Thursday, looking gorgeous as ever in a figure-flattering dress and flaunting her post-baby bod.

The 34-year-old actress was photographed arriving at ABC’s Good Morning America studios in Manhattan to promote her new film, Hysteria.

Gyllenhaal joins a slew of A-list celebrities who have trimmed down after giving birth.

Last month, Beyonce proved she’s back and better than ever after giving birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January.

The 30-year-old singer took the stage in a variety of figure-hugging outfits, wowing the crowd in Atlantic City.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are proud parents once again. The couple welcomed their second child on April 19 in New York, Us Weekly reports. The newborn joins sister Ramona, 5.

Did the couple choose a wacky name for their daughter?

Not quite. The parents named their newborn Gloria Ray.

Gyllenhaal waited until her second trimester to announce her most recent pregnancy.

“I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do,” the Crazy Heart star told USA Today in March. “I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Maggie never lost her style and joined several other Hollywood moms, who rocked some stylish maternity wear throughout their pregnancies.

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal confirmed this week that she and husband Peter Sarsgaard are expecting a baby girl.

Maggie talked about her pregnancy in a recent article with USA Today, confessing, “I’m so pregnant.”

“I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do,” she added. “I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”

The actress also added that she will not be revealing her due date, to protect her family from the press.

For just confirming her pregnancy on Monday, Maggie Gyllenhaal looks pretty far along. The actress was snapped on Monday picking up her daughter Ramona from school near their Brooklyn, New York home. 

Maggie kept it casual in a gray T-shirt and cardigan, while her 5-year-old daughter was full of energy, running ahead of her. According to an Us magazine source, the 34-year-old Crazy Heart actress is about four months along, and reportedly announced the news to their family (Maggie’s bro Jake Gyllenhaal included) over Thanksgiving. 

Maggie and her husband Peter Sarsgaard, 40, said their “I dos” in Italy back in 2009. They were together for seven years prior. Professionally, the actress’ most recent role is Hysteria, while Peter is set to star in Night Moves and Very Good Girls.

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s style can sometimes be hit or miss, which is why we’re especially torn on the dress she wore to the Armani Hotel Milano Opening Thursday evening in Milan, Italy.

Though she looked pretty adorable standing next to her equally cute husband, Peter Sarsgaard, the silver dress she wore to the event, which featured some type of floral-print detail on it, left a little to be desired. It didn’t help that she accessorized it with a rather busy black shawl.

Maggie Gyllenhaal stepped out in a peculiar fashion for her Toronto Film Festival press conference on Thursday. The actress chose a semi form-fitted dress that was covered in prints and had black stripes on her shoulders that almost looked like suspenders.

Longtime couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard have finally tied the knot. 

In a statement to People, Maggie’s rep said, “We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2.”

The couple, who have a 2 1/2-year-old daughter together, wed in a small chapel in Brindsi, Italy, surrounded by friends and family members including Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon. 

The couple had been engaged since 2006, when Maggie also announced her pregnancy. 

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Jake Gyllenhaal joined his sister Maggie and Maggie’s companion (and father of her daughter Ramona) Peter Sarsgaard at the afterparty for the the Classic Stage Company’s production of Uncle Vanya last night in NYC.

In Touch reports that longtime Hollywood marrieds Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Foner (parents of actor extraordinaire siblings Jake and nudity-permissive Maggie Gyllenhaal) have decided to divorce.

A marital split at this stage in the game can traumatize the adult children of the divorcees. It can cause them to do all sorts of crazy things…like get married.

The breakup has apparently caused Jake to rev up plans to get hitched to girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

Jake and Reese were allegedly on the outs, and this family strife might have forced them back together.

Oft-naked actress Maggie Gyllenhaal isn’t letting her parental status dictate her future film roles, according to Metro.

The Secretary star, whose daughter Ramona is two years old, says that she’ll continue to take on edgy projects, including those that require her to strip down.

“I’ve been lucky enough so far only to have to work on things that have interested me,” Gyllenhaal offers. “If Ramona sees them at some point, even if I have my clothes off, or if I’m playing a drug addict, as long as they’re about something and they’re worth making and they’re asking people who see the movie to think in a different way or open their minds or their hearts, then I’ll be proud for her to see it. I think it’s only if I start making choices based on things that I don’t think are honorable, then I’ll be ashamed for her to see the movie, but I don’t think the subject matter will have to change.”
