The Bling Ring – the gang of teenagers who famously stole from the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Paris Hilton and now is being forever immortalized in a Sofia Coppola movie — not only wanted to rob celebrities of their fancy jewels but also their unmentionables too.

According to Nancy Jo Sales, the journalist who famously interviewed the ring members, the burglars were obsessed with stealing the stars’ lingerie.

“They wanted to look sexy. Looking sexy in a celebrity’s clothes, well that’s even sexier,” Sales told Vanity Fair.

“Especially Miranda Kerr, who’s a Victoria’s Secret model. The fact that they stole the underwear just seems so weird, but it’s not weird when you think about it, because they’re growing up at a time when their culture is constantly telling them to be sexy.”

The home of Kerr’s husband, Orlando Bloom, was also robbed by the infamous gang.

“Stealing their underwear was part of a whole trend to emulate these celebrities. They don’t just want expensive underwear; they want Paris Hilton’s underwear,” Sales added.

However, Pretty Wild star and Bling Ring member Alexis Neiers denied all of Sales’ allegations.

“It’s trashy and inaccurate,” Neiers tweeted when she got word that Emma Watson would be playing a character based on her in the upcoming movie. “Based on Detective Goodkin and Nancy Joe Sales inaccurate information. 2 people who are everything they accused us of being: Celebrity status obsessed, fame & money hungry.”

“No one knows the real story behind the Bling Ring. All of the media outlets have gotten key facts in this case wrong, from names of defendants, who is involved in what robbery, who the leader of this crew was, and many more facts that we will never know because no one went to trial,” she added on her personal blog.

“I can only hope that this movie does not just tell the story of Los Angeles teens robbing the homes of celebrities, because that, I don’t believe, would have much impact on people, as the real cultural obsession with what the Bling Ring would.”

Miami was extra hot on Wednesday, thanks to the presence of Miranda Kerr and her amazing bikini body.

The 30-year-old Aussie beauty was spotted posing in a variety of swimsuits around South Beach for a photo shoot to promote her new makeup line.

“Shooting with @marianovivanco today!” Kerr wrote on Twitter, along with an Instagram of herself and fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco.

In other Miranda Kerr news, Vogue revealed this week that the former Victoria’s Secret model — and her underwear — was one of the real-life targets of the Hollywood Bling Ring group.

Speaking of couples, Chris Brown also posted a cryptic tweet, further brewing the rumors of his relationship status with Rihanna.

On the west coast, comedian Kevin Hart showed his support for Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller‘s fundraiser Hilarity for Charity. More than $400,000 was raised to fight Alzheimer’s disease at the event, held for the second year in a row. Mindy Kaling, John Mulaney and Nick Kroll were also on hand for the Hollywood gathering.

Elsewhere, Miranda Kerr was spotted jetting out of LAX in style, Rachel Zoe and her adorable son Skyler stopped by Kitson on Melrose Ave. and Jack Black dropped of his son Samuel at school in West Hollywood.

Veteran Coachella peeps are making way for the budding hipsters to really wave their freak flag this year.

Yesterday, the 2013 Coachella Music Festival kicked off, allowing us to introduce to you the newest members of the Vanessa Hudgens All-Star Coachella Club: Tallulah Willis, 19, and Ireland Baldwin, 17.

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger‘s only daughter (who is drop-dead gorgeous, BTW), busted out her Fourth of July gear for the festival, pairing stars and stripes with motorcycle boots and dandy sunglasses (straight from “Walgreens, baby,” she tweeted).

Bonus points: Her boyfriend, Slater Trout, wore a fanny pack.

Following claims that Victoria’s Secret dropped Miranda Kerr‘s $1 million contract as she was “not a big seller” and had “a difficult reputation,” the lingerie company has stepped forward to refute the rumors.

“Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue,” Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer at Victoria’s Secret, tells JustJared Wednesday. “While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me. We have no plans to stop working with her.”

“In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed,” he adds.

Uh, that’s a no brainer.

The 30-year-old Australian stunner ruled the catwalk in 2011 when she was chosen to wear the $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure Bra, a bustier that was decorated with 3400 precious gems and featured over 142 carats of diamonds. Previously, the top honor was bestowed on VS big-wigs such as Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks.

Given that Mrs. Orlando Bloom was also seen sizzling up the pages VS’ Valentine’s Day catalog recently, we’ll take Razek’s word that Kerr-ves are still ahead.

Miranda Kerr In A Neck Brace After Car Crash

The Victoria’s Secret model still looks gorgeous even while sporting a neck brace following a car crash. Check her out on Us Weekly.

Miranda Kerr was photographed wearing a neck brace on Tuesday, reportedly after the Victoria’s Secret Angel was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.

Sky News says the incident occurred on Monday, when a car rammed into a vehicle holding Kerr and her assistant.

“She is in a lot of pain, but really we are just glad it was not more serious,” a spokesperson for Kerr told Sky News on Wednesday.

The report adds the driver who caused the crash was arrested and may face charges of reckless driving.

Meanwhile, The Sun is reporting that Kerr — who is married to actor Orlando Bloom — was treated by medics and given an MRI scan. Her injuries are not said to be serious.

In the meantime, Kerr did her best to hide her neck brace from the paparazzi by wrapping a decorative scarf on top.
