Both Leighton Meester and Nicollette Sheridan hit the beach this weekend, with their derrieres on full display. The GG actress, who just turned 26 this past Monday, played in the waves of Rio de Janerio, Brazil in her pink snakeskin suit, all the while packing on the PDA with her bearded beau Aaron Himelstein.

Meanwhile in St. Barts, Nicollette, 48, proved age ain’t nothing but a number when she was spotted in her teeny pink bikini, enjoying a little beachside romance with her boyfriend.

Nicollette Sheridan is suing the show’s creator Marc Cherry for false termination of her character Edie Britt and hitting her in the head after she disputed a line in the script. Nicollette Sheridan‘s former Desperate Housewives castmates are reportedly pulling for  the actress in her $20 million lawsuit against DH creator Marc Cherry, but are reluctant to come forward, out of fear for their own jobs.

In her recently filed wrongful-termination suit, Sheridan claims that Cherry slapped her in the face and on the head when she took issue with a script element in 2008, then canned her because she had the nerve to complain about being roughed up in the workplace. According to a mole familiar with the inner workings of the show, such outbursts aren’t uncommon for Cherry, but the rest of the cast has learned to tolerate his abusiveness for the sake of the show:

“Marc can sometimes think he’s being funny, but he really just comes off as arrogant and rude. But the women mostly put up with it. He’s considered a genius at what he does, and it kind of just comes with the territory.”

While Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and the rest of Wisteria Lane’s residents secretly sympathize with their former coworker’s plight, apparently none of them are willing to publicly come forward with their support, lest they find their own characters killed off:

“They’re all silently behind her, but the actresses on the show enjoy the fame and success that Marc has created for them. It’s unlikely that anyone will step forward to support Nicollette—their characters are all still alive on the show, and they have a lot more to lose than she does.”

So all the Desperate Housewives are looking out for themselves, and are willing to throw each other under the bus in order to achieve their goals? Wow; apparently life really does imitate art.

While she hasn’t always been lucky in her off-screen love life, Nicollette Sheridan‘s television marriage is coming to an amicable end.

Celebuzz caught up with Sheridan’s Desperate Housewives groom Neal McDonough last night at the Street Fighter IV video game launch in Downtown Los Angeles, where he filled us in on the blonde’s departure and future plans.

“[Her leaving] was between her and the producers, she wanted to do certain things. But besides that its been a very happy ending. It’s great for everyone,” McDonough said.

And what’s next for the former Michael Bolton flame?

“She’s going to take a little relaxation time. She’s worked her ass off on the show for five years now, she’s been in television for like 20 years,” said the actor, who plays the criminally insane Dave Williams on the ABC hit.

“She’s going to relax for a while and chill.”

Ryan Seacrest‘s biggest fan Nicollette Sheridan is leaving ABC’s Desperate Housewives this season.

“[Nicollette] had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project,” her rep said in a statement to TV Guide.

The sultry actress, 45, who plays the vixenish troublemaker Edie Britt on ABC’s Sunday night mainstay, has been at the center of this season’s main mystery.

Her new husband Dave (played by actor Neil McDonough) apparently has evil on the brain.

Could he be facillitating her character’s exit? Or perhaps she needs to focus on getting Michael Bolton back in the stable?

Let’s face it – this will deal a blow to the show.

Edie was always the character who would say what you were thinking about the other characters, especially about goofy Susan (played by Teri Hatcher).

Hopefully they get Hatcher another arch-enemy soon and one as sassy as Sheridan.

Nicollette Sheridan had a few choice words for Ryan Seacrest on Friday’s airing of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Sheridan, 45, split from her singing beau Michael Bolton last year.

Ellen, perhaps picking up a strong cougar vibe from the Desperate Houswives star, posed the blonde vixen with the question of whether she’d ever go out on a date with 34-year-old Seacrest.

“That’s gross,” Sheridan quipped. “I’ve met him.”

Clearly Nicollette doesn’t mind crossing that fine Hollywood tradition of not trashing your fellow celebrities.  She added, “I did his radio show, and he was very rude about me the next day. So I don’t like him. It was nasty … and untrue.”

DeGeneres, 50, tried to explain that Ryan is in fact a “great guy”—albeit one who goes on her show and trashes his American Idol co-star, Simon Cowell—but Nicollette wasn’t having it.

“Yeah, I don’t like him,” she hissed with fury. “You should have a word with him.”

Maybe Ellen should’ve suggested Nicolette date Simon, instead?

English-born actress Nicolette Sheridan evidently left all things prim and proper behind during her journey to fame and fortune American style.

Singer Michael Bolton and Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan split up in September, thus rendering their on-again-off-again relationship, well, off again. But now a battle could be brewing over the formerly-engaged couple’s spacious Los Angeles home.

Bolton, 55, and Sheridan, 45, first dated in 1992. While their initial romantic relationship didn’t last, they remained friends. Eventually they made another love connection and became engaged in 2006.

The New York Post notes that Bolton put his 9,000 square foot Westport, Conn., home up for sale—for a reported $11 million—after he and Sheridan purchased a $4.4 million mansion from Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels in L.A.’s Hidden Hills area.

However, after breaking things off three months ago, Nicollette gave her crooning ex the boot from the manse.

“He’s basically homeless, and stuck with two houses,” a source tells the Post.

“He and Nicollette split the Hidden Hills house, but she wants to stay there and not have him anywhere near it. She also doesn’t particularly want to pay him [for] his half and thinks he should just give [the house] to her. Michael’s kind of screwed… He’s got nowhere to go.”

The Post also adds that Sheridan has a new, unnamed boyfriend.

One of Bolton’s biggest hits may have been “Love Is a Wonderful Thing,” but he just might be singing a different tune these days.

ABC never tires of reminding the American viewer how sexy the women of Desperate Housewives can be. (Sexy meaning scary and fraught with cougar-fighting.)

Sadly, behind the scenes things don’t seem much friendlier.

The latest issue of Life&Style explains the reason the couple—who have been on-again, off-again since 1992—called it quits this time around.

“[Bolton's adult daughters] Isa, Holly and Taryn disliked Nicollette,” says an insider. “Michael played referee and tried to smooth things over, but when push came to shove, he chose his daughters over his fiancée.”

Gosh, what a pushover. This is in quite stark contrast to another pop star, who wields an iron fist over her daughter and not vice-versa.

Maybe Michael should take the advice of Nicollette’s Desperate Housewives co-star Teri Hatcher, and just tell his daughters to go occupy themselves with sex and chocolate.

People magazine reports that Bolton and his fiancée, Nicollette Sheridan, have “amicably ended their engagement,” according to a Sheridan rep, who adds, “They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter.”

The couple’s relationship had been on-again, off-again for the better part of two decades. They initially dated for five years starting in 1992, then reconciled in 2005, announcing their engagement in 2006.

It’s not clear why the two broke up this time. Maybe Ol’ Trout Pouter got tired of constantly cleaning Bolton’s hair out of the shower drain. Or Michael saw the new Desperate Housewives promo.

But does the reason really matter? Michael Bolton is single! Try not to trample each other in a mad stampede, girls…
