Hollywood’s love affair with tattoos has produced some of the most personal, inspirational and ridiculous designs on the most famous bodies.

Back in November, Scarlett Johansson paid a trip to famed French tattoo artist and graffiti artist Fuzi Uvtpk for some fresh ink. The 28-year-old’s collection also includes two circles with the letter “A” on her right ankle, a colored sunrise on her left forearm and an “I Heart NY” charm bracelet etched on her right wrist.

Among One Direction, the boys have a combined total of more than 60 works of art — though Niall Horan is still a tattoo virgin. The heartthrob recently told We Love Pop magazine that he had plans to join Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, but was denied at a tattoo parlor in Los Angeles.

“I did actually decide to get ‘Made in Ireland’ in green on my arse cheek. I went to this place in L.A. but they wouldn’t do it. They said, ‘The skin on your arse is too squidgy. It needs to be tight.’”

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently shared on her Celebuzz blog a photo and story about her first tattoo ever.

“My ‘tramp stamp’ . . . yea yea everybody has their first tattoo and mine of course was on my lower back,” she wrote in January.

Meanwhile Justin Bieber’s been busy adding to his growing ink collection. In January, the 18-year-old superstar paid two consecutive visits to the tattoo parlor.

Happy birthday to Adam Lambert! It’s hard to believe the former American Idol contestant, who appeared on the show back in 2009, turns 31 today, but we have no doubt the outrageous and outspoken singer will celebrate in style.

“Just as now Lady Gaga is bringing back real glam rock for women, Adam is opening that door up for men,” Doonan told WWD in 2009.“You can wear the python boots and the shiny jacket.”

Russell Crowe on Tuesday responded to a series of tweets from American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, who criticized Les Miserables for its live singing technique.

“I don’t disagree with Adam,” Crowe, who plays Javert in the film, tweeted. “Sure it could have been sweetened, [director Tom] Hooper wanted it raw and real. That’s how it is.”

On Dec. 30, Lambert tweeted the film suffered from “great actors PRETENDING to be singers.”

“It’s an opera. Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority. (Dreamgirls was good),” he continued, before praising some of the actors in the film, including Anne Hathaway.

“The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?”

Lambert quickly apologized for his remarks, tweeting, “I’m so glad we are all discussing this now! Look-I grew up w this musical and so my expectations are quite high. Didn’t mean to b negative.”

Les Miserables is now playing nationwide.

It was a night of memorable moments and performances on Sunday, as VH1 brought out the biggest names in music for its annual VH1 Divas concert.

From Miley Cyrus to recently engaged singer Kelly Clarkson, fans were treated to one epic performance after another — not to mention a wonderful tribute to the late Whitney Houston, led by her Sparkle co-star, Jordin Sparks.

Granted, nothing did — or, let’s face it, ever will — top the Greatest Moment Ever in the History of VH1 Divas, but it was still a pretty darned good concert put on by a even better list of talent.

Adam Lambert is sporting new ink.

The American Idol runner-up recently showed off his impressive upper arm tattoo on Twitter. ”It represents my Astrological Birth Chart, along with Pagan, Buddhist, and Greco- Roman Archetypes related to balance and the life cycle,” Lambert explained.

“My chart is Aquarius Sun, Libra Rising, Aries Moon,” he added. “All three are represented.”

However, the new ink has already come under fire from internet trolls who labeled the tattoo as satanic. The 30-year-old singer was quick to clear up the confusion.

“Tattoo has nothing to do w Satanism… That’s stupid,” he tweeted. “Greek Mythology? Yes. PAN. The Internet loves these foolish Illuminati conspiracies.”

Over the summer, Lambert debuted a tattoo of the latin phrase “Musica Delenit Bestiam Feram” on his arm.

The highly anticipated midseason CW show, The Carrie Diaries, finally has its premiere date. The show will make its debut on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at 8 PM. The Carrie Diaries is a prequel of sorts to HBO’s Sex and the City and features a 1980s Carrie Bradshaw and the first love of her life: Manhattan. Next week’s episode of The CW’s Gossip Girl will feature Frank Ocean heavily. No, not the man himself but his music. News broke this week that American Idol may be considering an overhaul of its judges panel. And as contracts go into negotiations and the “Jennifer Lopez: Will she or won’t she?” question still looms, the show could be headed for a shakeup in the form of Idol runner-up Adam Lambert.

But looking past the notion of the buzz created by a spikey-haired, pop-punk, the Lambert possibility could be interpreted as the ring of a 911 call for the FOX competition.

“The ratings are now plummeting at an alarming rate and the show looks and feels older and stodgier than the competition,” Richard Rushfield, who wrote the extensive tome on the show, American Idol: The Untold Story, tells Celebuzz. “This may be the last chance to shake it up if it’s to avoid a freefall.”

The Hollywood Reporter’s Music Editor, Shirley Halperin, says that the falling ratings can be alarming to not only FOX, but several other companies with stakes in the show’s success: FremantleMedia, 19 Entertainment, Universal Music, Ford and Coca-Cola among them.

May’s Idol finale was the least-watched of the series’ 11-season run. And while 21.5 million viewers is still quite impressive, it represented a 26 percent drop from last season’s finale.

“It’s not the kind of drop you can ignore,” Halperin tells Celebuzz. “It could mean make-goods to advertisers, smaller budgets to work with, things that directly affect the bottom line. In times of desperation, drama often works and that’s what these alleged public shake-ups are. They’re also a way to test the field and see who the public reacts to.”

Rickey.Org founder, Rickey Yaneza, also stresses the importance of creating buzz at a time when Idol’s ratings are at an all-time low and other shows are crowding the genre. Simon Cowell famously dropped judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as hunky host Steve Jones after an inaugural season that averaged about 12 million viewers – eight million less than his now-famous pre-debut prediction.

“I think that Idol is taking a page from The X Factor playbook,” Yaneza, whose comprehensive coverage of the FOX talent competition and other reality TV shows has made him popular as a go-to source for fans, says.

Idol isn’t alone in taking the X Factor’s approach. The CW’s way of freshening up its long-running and ratings-challenged America’s Next Top Model meant firing original stars Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel before its next Cycle. That definitely got the media and the show’s fans’ attention.

“There may be some contract negotiations in play here, but I think Idol needs the chatter now in a very competitive space,” Yaneza also says. “It seems that it’s all about The X Factor right now and it will be that way into the fall. Can Idol beat the Britney [Spears]/Demi [Lovato] combo? I don’t know. The Adam Lambert buzz was a bit weak from a non-fan standpoint.”

After Lambert came the obligatory rush among the media to name as many people that it could siphon off from tips, whispers and sheer conjecture. Of the many artists who are reportedly up for a judging position, our experts say that Miley Cyrus’ youth may be a good match for The X Factor’s Lovato and that Will.I.Am and Fergie (who had earlier this year shot down rumors she was in consideration for an X Factor slot) would bring experience and career success to the panel.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry is on record with THR as saying that she has been approached by shows, but she has some big creative projects she’d rather spend her time and energy on over judging a talent competition.

But, is a change even necessary? The ratings would say yes. And our experts pretty much agree that while Lopez is the lone keeper on the current panel, Idol should do something pretty drastic at this point.

“I think it either has to reinvent itself or go down with its aging audience,” Rushfield says.

“They really need to stop reacting to the competition and think outside of the box,” Yaneza says. “All of these things: The judge dynamics on The Voice, the over-the-top production and now the Britney star power of The X Factor — American Idol could have done earlier, but now they’ve fallen behind on those ideas.”

Halperin suggests a pretty huge makeover of the judges panel – as in they should be replaced every season. “That would be the most exciting thing they can do at this point,” she says. “And that’s based on the same principle of having a new batch of contestants every year.”

“It wouldn’t require too much of a commitment from the music star — so he or she doesn’t have to stop touring,” she continues. “And would keep people guessing but in a good way, not engaging in a pointless game of speculation.”

Overall, the experts we spoke to seem to think that an overhaul of some kind – especially a youthful one as Lambert’s consideration would suggest – is necessary right now.

In the meantime, one thing is clear: We’ll just have to suffer through the numerous speculations as to what (or who) those changes will be. Meanwhile, all the dimming show’s interested parties are probably crossing their fingers and hoping that this period of buzz is enough to keep the flame burning.

American Idol alum Adam Lambert may return to TV’s top-rated show next season — this time, as a judge.

So claim sources for E! News, anyway.

“[The show has] been talking about Adam for over a month,” a source revealed in a report published late Sunday evening. “He personifies the show and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”

No word yet on whether Lambert would join the show as a fourth judge or replace one of the seats filled by Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez or Steven Tyler, none of whom have said whether they’ll be at the judges’ table when Idol returns to FOX in January.

Sources went on to say that the entire judges’ lineup is in question as FOX begins to make preparations for season 12. Jackson, who has been with the show since it launched in 2002, may lose his spot if the show opts for a “new look,” says the source, while a source close to Tyler claims his future with the show is “up in the air.”

Lopez, meanwhile, has been hinting for months that she may not return to the show, with sources claiming that she is “too busy” to maintain Idol’s grueling schedule.

In the meantime, we do know that host Ryan Seacrest will indeed be back for another season; in April, the affable host renewed his contract for another two years.

Lambert — whose sophomore album Trespassing topped the Billboard 200 albums chart in May — competed on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. He finished in second place, behind Kris Allen.

In May, Celebuzz spoke to Lambert, who is openly gay, about President Barack Obama’s decision to support same-sex marriage in America — a decision Lambert referred to as “fantastic.”

“It feels like we’re on the run because of who we’re in love with,” he said. “It’s so freaking ridiculous. There are far more important things we should be concerned about in this country than who someone is sleeping with. Who gives a sh–? if someone wants to get married, why is it anyone’s business? I just don’t understand why everyone is so involved in fighting against gay marriage.”

Less than 24 hours after Adam Lambert released his new sophomore album Trespassing, it has already taken the No. 1 spot on iTunes. To say the American Idol alum is ecstatic is an understatement.

“I already saw some pretty important reviews, and everything was kosher. That was a very validating… At the end of the day, being a mainstream artist obviously there is pressure to sell. I can’t control that, but I can control the quality of the songs,” Lambert, 30, told Celebuzz at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City.

Although he’s enjoying the success, he’ll be the first to admit it didn’t come easily. Now with Season 11 contestants Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips all vying for the coveted Idol title, Lambert is offering some advice to the wide-eyed singers.

“The transition from a TV talent contest to mainstream radio is really tricky. It is a whole other industry. The rules are different. Your music is based on a lot more than just popularity. The hardest thing about the show is maintaining your own integrity as an artist. You have to work hard. Nothing happens instantly after the show,” he advises.

On Thursday (May 17), Lambert will be returning to his old stomping grounds, performing his new hit “Never Close Our Eyes” on the Idol stage. While he promises an “off the charts” stage show, he’s hoping to pull a few antics of his own backstage — like possibly raiding judge Steven Tyler‘s wardrobe closet!

“I love [Aerosmith frontman] Steven Tyler — and his wardrobe. Every time he comes on screen, I’m like, ‘What the hell is he wearing?!’  I love it… I should ask him if I can raid his closet,” the Grammy-nominated singer joked.

Up next, Lambert will be filling in for one of his primary influences, the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, during five European concerts with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen.

“I’m excited and honored. There is a lot of work to be done. It has been a while since I covered someone else’s music. It’s a different type of challenge. I’ve done research… I want to pay respect to Freddie. I don’t want to just copy him and do an impression. I’m trying the best I can, working together with Brian and Roger. It’s going to be beautiful,” Lambert gushed.

The former Idol alum has no plans to tour in promotion of his own album, Trespessing, but hopes to have “something lined up by the end of the year.”

In the meantime, his fans can expect to see his new music video for “Never Close Your Eyes” within a few weeks. Trying not to give the whole concept away, Lambert revealed, “It’s a little sci-fi. It challenges and reinterprets the lyrics. It’s not obvious. I mean, with me I’m not into the obvious. I like to twist things.”

American Idol alum Adam Lambert, who publicly came out as gay, in 2009, is praising President Barack Obama for taking a stand in support of marriage equality.

“It’s fantastic. It’s a big step, and a great example that he’s setting,” the Grammy-nominated artist, 30, told Celebuzz on Monday, before his performance at the MLB Fan Cave, in New York.  The subject has been near and dear to Adam, who wrote a pro-same-sex marriage song called “Outlaws of Law” for his sophomore album Trespassing, out May 15. Explaining the “vulnerable” tune, the Idol alum tells us:

“Last year, when I wrote it, there was a lot of movement for equal rights. It feels like we’re on the run because of who we’re in love with. It’s so freaking ridiculous. There are far more important things we should be concerned about in this country than who someone is sleeping with. Who gives a sh–? if someone wants to get married, why is it anyone’s business? I just don’t understand why everyone is so involved in fighting against gay marriage.”

Chatting about his future, Adam even opened up about whether there will be wedding bells for he and his current boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen.

Although Adam is currently in a committed relationship with the Finnish reality star, the “Never Close Our Eyes” singer isn’t ready to tie the knot just yet.

“I’m not considering marriage right now. When I’m ready, maybe someday I’d get married,” he said.  “Right now, I’m really enjoying being in a relationship. I’m very much in love. It’s great.”

Last Wednesday, in an exclusive interview with ABC News, Obama revealed that his opinions on same-sex marriage had evolved over the last several years, to the point where he now fully supports the controversial social issue.

Rumors are swirling that Adam Lambert will be replacing Freddie Mercury as the new lead singer of the legendary rock band Queen! The former American Idol contestant reportedly told British tabloid Daily Star that he’s joining the original members guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor to play a few tour dates.

“The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f—ing great songs,” he reportedly told Daily Star. “It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”

At press time, a rep for Queen and Adam Lambert could not be reached to confirm the reports.

Adam has been very vocal about his love for the band though — even performing a rendition of “We Are The Champions” with the guys at the American Idol finale back in 2009.

Adam Lambert is finally opening up about his recent fight with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen that led to their arrest in Finland this past December. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the former American Idol contestant laughed off the incident, admitting the couple are doing fine now.

So what exactly happened? Adam reveals:

“You know, relationships are work and I’m so lucky to have fallen in love with a great partner. Everybody has their ups and downs, things happen. When you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control and some people can get upset and emotional. What happened was, we had too much to drink. We screwed up. There were no injuries, no violence. It was more of childish, foolish, messiness.”

At the time of the arrest in December, Adam and his partner spent several hours in a Finnish jail and were held for questioning after reportedly getting into a physical brawl. According to Hollywood Reporter, police were called to DTM (Don’t Tell Mama), a famous Helsinki gay club, after the couple got into a dispute after being kicked out of the club.

Looking back on the incident, Adam regrets those drunken decisions and hopes to set a better example in 2012.

“I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my loved ones, and to my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together,” he said.

Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert and his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, were both reportedly arrested in Helsinski, Finland early Thursday morning after reportedly getting into a physical brawl. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the couple spent several hours in a Finnish jail and were held for questioning. They were reportedly released on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, police were called to DTM (Don’t Tell Mama), a famous Helsinki gay club, after the couple got into a dispute after being kicked out of the club. The duo are now being investigated on four possible assault offenses!

After the release, Koskinen blogged about the incident, suggesting the pair were okay and now laughing about the incident.

“Fame is not easy. Celebrities are only human. Love is not easy either, but it is forever!” he wrote.

Not long after, Lambert tweeted the following message:

In VH1′s Behind the Music, Adam Lambert is ready to expose what went on while he was rising to stardom. The singer admits the hardships that came with his sexuality and how he dealt with the scrutiny. At the time of his season, Entertainment Weekly featured him on the cover of their magazine and entitled his story “Adam Lambert: The Most Exciting ‘American Idol’ in years,” adding a jab in on the side of the cover that read “And Not Just Because He Might Be Gay.”
