AJ McLean and his wife Rochelle Deanna Karidis gave birth to their first child, daughter Ava Jaymes, early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, InTouch has confirmed.

“We are all doing well and are thrilled to welcome Ava to the world,” McLean told InTouch late Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, Ava was born at 4:51AM, weighing 7 lbs. and 7 oz.

The couple married on Dec. 17, 2011. They announced they were expecting little Ava in a video posted to YouTube in April.

The 34-year-old boy bander and his wife, Rochelle, will have an Oct. 20 baby shower for their impending bundle of joy — whom they’ve already christened Ava Jaymes — and Celebuzz has exclusive details from the couple’s baby registry.

What are the parents hoping for?

The wish list at posh Los Angeles boutique Bel-Bambini has more than 20 items; they range from a baby briefcase for $29.95 to a Treetop Friends Activity Gym that sells for $79.

The McLeans are also making sure their daughter will be transported in style: they’ve asked for  a $799.99 bright pink Quinny Moodd Stroller and a Balboa Baby Adjustable Sling for $60.

The singer and his wife first shared the news of the impending arrival on Twitter in July, tweeting, “[We] feel like kids on Christmas Eve!!! Doctors appointment tomorrow to have an ultrasound and hopefully find out the sex!!”

The happy couple even shared a video with fans to announce the baby’s name, noting that she’ll have the same initials as her proud papa.

“It’s crazy — the first Backstreet girl,” McLean added.

Indeed, McLean’s daughter will be the first female born to a member of the Backstreet Boys: Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell are all fathers to boys.

Little Ava is due in November.

Backstreet’s back — and shining brighter than ever.

After six years apart, the ’90s fan-favorite quintet is making a comeback. The fab five — Nick Carter, A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson — have reunited to record a brand-new album in honor of their 20th anniversary, joining forces in the studio for the first time since 2005.

And the best-selling boy band ever — having sold more than 130 million albums worldwide — are out to prove they can still make fans swoon with their longing lyrics, pitch-perfect harmonies and classic dance moves.

“I think we want to defy Father Time and just keep moving,” Carter told Celebuzz at Old Navy’s Rockstar Jeans fashion show in New York City. “You can call it our reunion album, but we really have never quit. [You] can’t stop. Once you stop, you get old.”

How have the guys stuck together after all these years?

“I don’t know if we necessarily have a secret other than just good chemistry,” Carter confessed. “I think we love our music. We love what we do.”

Richardson credits their collective “persistence” for the group’s longevity. After spending years focusing on solo albums, starring in reality shows and starting families, the Backstreet Boys have their nose to the grind for their forthcoming album, due out in 2013. And they promise this record will be more mature than earlier work.

“We just came back from London on a three-week writing trip,” explained Richardson. “So far, the songs that we’re writing are kind of personal. I wrote one about my son. Whether it makes the album or not, we’re not sure. We’re still in a creative phase where we’re writing and experimenting.”

“We want it to be a personal album about what’s happening in our lives now,” he continued. “A.J. is getting ready to be a father. Howie, Brian and myself are fathers already. So we’re just trying to make it a personal record.”

So what advice does Backstreet — who have been making female fans scream since before Justin Bieber was even born — have for new-to-the-scene boy bands like One Direction and The Wanted?

“Just stay on your own path,” said McLean. “We’ve stayed true to ourselves and here we are 20 years later. Just stay on your own path and you do your own kind of thing. And we all wish them the best of luck.”

First it was 98 degrees on the Today show, and now boy band The Backstreet Boys have reunited on Good Morning America’s summer concert series in front of thousands of fans.

The band consisting of Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean made a huge announcement.

“Next year, just so you guys know, there will be a BSB cruise next year, in October with all five,” said McLean to much applause and screams from the crowd.

What other plans do the Backstreet Boys have for 2013?

“Well, 2013 is going to be a big year for us. It’s our 20th anniversary,” said Richardson, who had left the group in 2006. “We’re in the studio right now working on an album. So we are going to have that ready, hopefully, for the beginning of next year.”

Richardson also struck down any rumors that he left the band over soured relationships with his bandmates. Instead, he said he was feeling uninspired at the time.

Speaking of why he decided to return he said, “I’m a person that always follows my heart and follows my gut. My heart says now is the time. It just felt right. I feel inspired to make music again with these guys.”

McLean chimed in, “Now we got Kev back so Backstreet’s Back!”

In July, the band had announced on GMA that all five members were recording together in London. BSB had previously toured with fellow boy band New Kids on the Block as NKOTBSB in 2011 without Richardson.

Taking the stage in Central Park, the Backstreet Boys performed massive hits, “I Want it That Way” and “Larger than Life.” The latter was dedicated to Robin Roberts and her family after the loss of her mother Thursday night.

Roberts had pushed up her extended medical leave from Monday to be with her mother and family in Mississippi. She is taking leave to battle a rare blood and bone marrow disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and will receive a bone marrow transplant from her sister.

Now that they’re a body-rocking quintet once again, the Backstreet Boys are prepping a brand-new album, set to debut in spring 2013 to coincide with their 20th anniversary.

“This is actually our first time in the studio together as all five of us since 2005,” the “Larger Than Life” singers said on Good Morning America. “We’re recording our brand new record right here in London.”

The best-selling boy band in history — Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and the recently returned Kevin Richardson — are also ready to get back on stage in front of their screaming fans.

“We’re going to be coming to perform for you guys August 21st,” the group confirmed, marking the first time all five singers will have reunited since Richardson rejoined the group three months ago.

So what will Backstreet Boys bring on their new record?

Heartthrob Carter boasts that the band is better than ever.

“The vibe is fantastic…and like never before” he said. “It’s revitalized. …It’s just been really organic. We’re having so much fun. It’s awesome, it really is.”

And the “I Want It That Way” boys are not just spending time together in the recording booth.

“We’re actually living in a house together out here at the moment,” Carter continued. “We wake up and have breakfast together. [But] we’re not sick of each other at all.”
