Who knew that the Modern Family clan was so smitten off-camera?

“She [Vergara] treats me like one of her kids. She’s definitely like my second mother,” gushed Rico Rodriguez, 14, who plays Sofia Vergara‘s son on the set of Modern Family.

Celebuzz caught up with the actor at the NCLR Alma Awards on Sunday, and he wasn’t shy about putting in his two cents about Vergara baby talk.

What did Rodriguez add to conversation?

The 40-year-old actress — who currently has a 20-year-old son and recently got engaged to fiance Nick Loeb — told Celebuzz exclusively that she hasn’t ruled out the thought of another pregnancy.

Of course, Rodriguez is thrilled at the idea of Vergara possibly expanding her family.

“That would be awesome!” he raved to Celebuzz.

Rodriguez is a big family man himself — arriving at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with his sister by his side — whom he claimed to be his lucky charm.

Well, her and the rest of his family.

What did he need the luck for?

The young star was nominated for an Alma Award  – Favorite TV Actor for a Supporting Role in a Comedy — for his role as Manny in Modern Family.

And guess what?

He definitely chose the right arm candy on Sunday — reeling in the award for his outstanding achievement.

His real mama and faux mama Vergara must be very proud.

Eva Longoria pulled an Anne Hathaway at last night’s ALMA awards. Co-hosting the awards show with George Lopez, the Desperate Housewives star made multiple wardrobe changes throughout the evening.

Starting out in a glam black gown with a sexy slit for the red carpet, Longoria’s looks only got better as the night wore on. Maybe it’s her new romance with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, but we’ve never seen the actress look better.

What else did the sexy star wear?

Like many of the night’s other red carpet winners, Longoria showed off her sexier side in skin-revealing gowns that brought the “wow” factor.

One of our favoriteswas the nude gown she opened the show in, which featured cut-out detailing up top and a sheer skirt layered over a mini skirt on bottom.

Later, Longoria highlighted her tan in a gold woven gown with yet another thigh-grazing slit. To mix things up, Longoria added a few more covered-up styles into the rotation, letting the curve-hugging fit bring the sex appeal.

Though the star stuck to mostly neutrals, she added a few bright pops of color into her numerous looks, donning three different shades of red.

The red carpet sizzled Sunday night at the 2012 ALMA Awards in Pasadena, Calif. — and it wasn’t just because of the 100-degree temperatures.
