Celebuzz caught up with Amy during Paleyfest at Beverly Hills’ Saban Theater on Tuesday night, and chatted with her not only about the president’s recent Parks & Rec shoutout, but all those Tumblr-loving P&R fans out there.

So, what did the hilarious actress have to say when we asked her about an Obama cameo?

“Well his daughter Malia I guess is a big fan. We’ll just have to ask Aziz [Ansari], he has all the hookups.”

Besides her fans in D.C., Amy is also thrilled about all the different Parks & Rec related Tumblrs that have emerged, and when we mentioned one dedicated to Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) in a Letter to Cleo shirt, Amy said, “Oh my god. Tumblr must love Ben Wyatt. I get it Tumblr.”

This FOX show stars Golden Globe nominee Zooey Deschanel and is about Jess, an offbeat young woman, who moves into an apartment loft with three single men after a bad breakup.

Modern Family
This ABC show keeps getting funnier. The show follows three very different immediate families and their everyday trials. As we all know by now, MF is an awards show favorite!

Parks and Recreation
Before Parks & Rec aired, there was concern that the format was too much like The Office but it quickly showed it could stand on its own. Amy Poehler is the star of the show as Leslie Knope, and her gang of Parks Department misfits makes this one of our fave NBC shows. Oh, and Adam Scott isn’t too hard to look at either.

Happy Endings
After the end of Friends, there was a hole in sitcom television that needed to be filled with a group of quirky pals. Happy Endings fills such void.

Raising Hope
With its outrageous (and sometimes inappropriate) jokes, this FOX show makes single parenting look hilarious.

Honorable Mentions
We couldn’t make a list without mentioning Glee and 30 Rock! The singing show and Tina Fey/Alec Baldwin hilarity are always a fave for us!

On Saturday, the talk show host invited 30 Rock‘s Tina Fey and Parks and Recreation‘s Amy Poehler to crash their old stomping ground and hijack its Weekend Update segment. The result? An all-out comedic joke off.

When Seth Meyers “failed” to deliver a proper joke, Jimmy, Tina and Amy all jumped in to prove their wits. Sexual double entendres and silly buzzer-mashing were had and, in the end, old former Weekend Update anchors Fallon and Fey brought down the house and were declared the winners.

Other special guests that stopped the show by included Jude Law, musical guest Michael Buble, and former SNL stars Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, Horatio Sanz and Rachel Dratch.

However, according to the Los Angeles Times, no one was safe from Amy’s jokes during her acceptance speech, not even her bestie Tina or Saturday Night Live star Seth Meyers, neither were in attendance. “To everyone who came in person, thank you,” Poehler said. “To everyone who made a video, you’re dead to me. We all know how easy it is to make a video.”

Tina and Seth were reportedly in NYC working on their own projects. However, Tina cracked a few jokes in her video. The Times reports she said, “We even have shows on the same night in what will be known as the last great days of NBC.”

The event honored Amy for her numerous contributions to comedy, followed by a night of stand-up and sketch comedy performances benefiting the Noreen Fraser Foundation (which focuses on women’s cancer research).

Stand-up acts included T.J. Miller, The League star Nick Kroll, Casey Wilson, Happy Endings starand Sarah Silverman. As the night came to a close, SNL and Up All Night actress and comedian Maya Rudolph spoke some wise words of congratulations by telling the crowd:

“Tonight, I would like to sing a song for you, a beautiful song, by the always tasteful and utterly brilliant lyricist Mr. R. Kelly, and it is entitled ‘Sex in the Kitchen.’ You’re welcome.”

She proceeded to sing the dramatic song for the audience.

The hilarious, comedy filled night ended with comedic superstar Will Ferrell presenting the honor to the woman of the evening. Amy came up to accept the honor by giving an exuberantly comical and entertaining speech. Picking out her favorite quotes of the night, she went on to say:

“This has been my kind of night; everything’s kind of hard to hear, everything’s a bit sloppy, the ceiling is too high but everyone’s heart is in the right place…it is an honor to be honored.

To all the wonderful people who did a video tonight, thanks but no thanks. I know how easy it is to do a video. Videos are easy. You can’t drag your ass down here to shake my hand in person, you’re dead to me.  So I don’t care about your words and I don’t care about you.

The Variety Power of Comedy award has a very long and prestigious history dating back to 2009. I am the first woman to win. Yes it is about time! Ladies we are really breaking barriers tonight!”

Also in attendance was Amy’s husband Will Arnett, Whitney star Whitney Cummings, Parks and Recs costars Aubrey Plaza and Adam Scott, plus David Henrie, Gene Simmons, Sarah Colonna, and many more celebs who had nothing but kind words to say about Amy.

The Parks and Recreation actress was seen treating her two sons (3-year-old Archie and 14-month-old Abel) with a trip to the toy store over the weekend. The trio bundled up as they stocked up on all kinds of goodies.

We can only imagine what kind of toys these little ones will get for Christmas!

In the last decade, she has gone from Saturday Night Live cast member to leading lady of her very own NBC show Parks and Recreation, that is set to return to TV Sept. 22. In addition, she and her hubby Will Arnett have welcome two adorable sons Archie and Abel!

From being the coolest “cool mom” ever in Mean Girls to her character that crushes on Conan O’Brien to the Parks Department cheerleader Leslie Knope, we’ve put together some of her funniest moments to celebrate her big day.

In this hysterical Parks and Rec clip, Amy names of a number of girl cliches after being questioned for (allegedly) accidentally shooting her coworker while on a hunting trip. “I thought there was going to be chocolate!”

Amy played the onscreen wife of her real husband Will Arnett in the cult series, Arrested Development. Later Will showed up on Parks and Rec as a blind date for Amy’s character Leslie Knope.

Hilarious Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler was seen doting on her 2-year-old son Archie at the Hollywood farmer’s market recently, and it looks like he definitely inherited his mom’s funny genes!

As the paps snapped away, little Archie made a number of silly faces. Too cute!

Amy, who is married to actor Will Arnett, is gearing up to star in the fourth season of the hit NBC show about a parks department in Indiana.

Will is also set to star in his own show on NBC titled Up All Night, about new parents dealing with their first child. We’re sure he knows all about that with two little boys running around! (Amy gave birth to their second son Abel, last August).

Ok, so the Parks and Recreation funny lady didn’t exactly get her start in the entertainment biz that way, but that didn’t stop her from having a little fun talking about it on the hilarious web series, Seven Minutes in Heaven.

Amy took some time to chat with Saturday Night Live writer Mike O’Brien in the comfort of his closet, and the results are pretty hysterical.

Celebuzz got a chance to talk to the hilarious actress about the third season of Childrens Hospital, her work on Party Down, and how she feels about her husband (and Parks & Recreation mustachioed stud) Nick Offerman gunning for Oprah to play his first wife on his hit NBC show.

Childrens Hospital plays off of a lot of other medical shows – were you a fan of medical dramas before you started the show?

Yeah, I don’t watch any. I watched ER when it was at its peak of success. But no, I’m not a medical drama person…I don’t like them. It kinda grosses me out or something [laughs].

That’s funny, because I interviewed Rob Corddry last week and he also said that he wasn’t into medical dramas at all when he started the show.

Well, I’ve seen enough episodes of those shows to send them up, but I don’t watch them on a regular basis.

You guys also have a lot of great guest stars coming through the show – are there any dream guest stars that you’d like to work with?

Oh, yeah! Catherine O’Hara, she can play my sister [laughs]. There are so many people… I think that something that is really noteworthy is that there is this whole big far-reaching circle of people who do comedy in Los Angeles. A lot of the Upright Citizens Brigade people moved to Los Angeles in the last couple of years and it turned everything around for comedy in Los Angeles. There is this influx of new people with innovative ideas and that is part of the reason that Childrens Hospital has come together in the way it has.

It’s really interesting, there is this big network of comedy people. I’d say that it is overall really supportive and collaborative; everybody wants to work with everybody else. There is no exclusivity about it, if you’re funny and you’re a nice person you’re in!  So that’s what’s been really great, that extends to Parks & Recreation, that whole group, and certainly Amy Poehler and Aubrey Plaza and all of those people, those are New York transplants. The whole Party Down group is included in that too. So it is definitely really great!

There has definitely been a lot of crossover between shows – especially Parks & Recreation, Party Down and Childrens Hospital. Have you found any difference working for a more off-beat comedy like Childrens Hospital and Party Down as opposed to a traditional network sit-com?

Maybe there is more a cool factor for shows like Childrens Hospital that are so off the beaten path that it gives you the impression that you are the only person who has discovered it. So that is appealing to audiences I think. It’s funny that this show has done so well, because it is on this network that people aren’t particularly familiar (Adult Swim). I didn’t know much about it. I had heard about it but that was it, I didn’t know that it was the nighttime version of Cartoon Network and I didn’t know that they take a lot of risks on that network and they’re really innovative, they do it their way.

It’s great too, it’s great from a producing standpoint because there is no interference from the network. On shows like Childrens Hospital and Party Down, I don’t think we get like any network notes from Adult Swim and we got a few on Starz. That’s kind of freeing too, it becomes more of a hotbed of creativity when you have the freedom to be innovative. Some of the episodes of Childrens this season, there is something really groundbreaking about some of them because I haven’t seen anything done like that on television. Just conceptually and technically, the look of the show and the way it is shot. Content-wise, all of the episodes are just jokes, but I think conceptually what they are doing with the show is pretty innovative.

Does it feel liberating as an actress to play a character like The Chief who is so, well, gross? Everyone wants her but she is literally falling apart.

That is the joke, she is the most disgusting person on earth but everyone wants to f**k her. Every year I try to think of how to get grosser and grosser – now I’m up to, I walk on a walker, I have a hunchback, I have a traveling mole, I can’t wear any makeup, I wear giant glasses and I wear man’s wig. Where do you go from there, I’m not sure [laughs]. I got really mad because they are doing this other show on Adult Swim where a female character wears an eye-patch and smokes a pipe, and I was like, ‘Damn! Why didn’t I think of that?’ So if you have any suggestions, I’m open to them.

I can’t think of that many other actresses who would [play a gross character]. I guess Catherine O’Hara would do it. I mean, Laura Linney has done stuff without makeup, but she is on John Adams which is on HBO, with like 20 Emmys, but you know, this is comedy.

Going into Parks & Recreation your husband Nick Offerman (who plays Ron Swanson on the show) recently said that he thought Oprah should play his first wife, Tammy 1, because she is the only person who could intimidate you. Do you agree with that?

Yeah, I totally agree with that. That pitch actually came from a friend of mine I have known since first grade. Nick and I were in Oklahoma City, and we were having dinner with this guy and he said ‘What about Oprah?’ and Nick and I were like, ‘Yes. What about Oprah, what about Oprah.’ So we pitched that to [NBC] really hard but I don’t think….I think they have to go somewhere in a realm that would be…I don’t know, I don’t know what they are thinking. I don’t think Oprah turned it down, but I think they are trying to be a little more realistic [laughs].

Aside from Oprah, are there any other women that you’d like to see play Tammy 1?

We were pitching a lot of people, we were pitching Helen Mirren, Rosie O’Donnell, Roseanne Barr. We tried to think of people that were intimidating but funny too. What do you think?

I think Helen Mirren would be pretty good.

She would be so good! I like the idea that she is a little older. Ron likes the older ladies.

Writer-director David Wain has recently said that plans for a prequel to the cult hit are in the works, and with the original cast no less. Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch were all transformed into Jersey girls as they joined Jimmy at the party. Jimmy explains at the beginning of the sketch that there’s a button in the NBC elevator labeled “Jersey Floor,” and when a person goes to that floor, they are immediately transformed into a member of the Jersey Shore. That’s exactly what happened to Tina and Amy when they pressed that button. 

Once the ladies hit the floor, they were described by one of the men at the party as “RTB,” which stands for “ready to bone.” Jimmy does his best Jersey Shore impression, describing Amy and Tina, saying, “Well, I dunno about these girls. They were kinda weird. Like they needed to, like, see a brain doctor or something.”

Amy yells in the club to a guy on the dancefloor, “Lets have a relationship.” Cut to a pregnant Tina screaming over the music to Jimmy, “I wanna make babies with you.” If you still haven’t gotten your fill of Tina after watching this sketch, you can still check her out this weekend when she will be hosting SNL.

The Parks and Recreation star was all smiles when she took out her lil’ man to grab some groceries in Beverly Hills this weekend. The Celebuzz Certified Adorable Archie hammed it up for the cameras and showed off a piece of chocolate he was nibbling on to the attending paparazzi. Archie’s love of eating while on camera has been well established: The comedy offspring was recently spotted chewing on an apple while spending the day with Amy.
