Think about what it was like to be a kid. Think really hard. Remember it? Now think about how you would have felt if Spider-Man had just randomly showed up to play basketball with you. That’s how Andrew Garfield just made these kids feel.

This video, which popped up online last Friday, was shot in Chinatown in New York City, where Garfield was filming scenes for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Presumably, while on break, Garfield decided to give these kids the pick-up game of their lives while his on and off screen girlfriend Emma Stone looked on. He even let them win.

Make way for the Rhino.

On Saturday, Paul Giamatti got into character as Aleksei Sytsevich (aka. the Rhino) as he filmed scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The actor was joined by Andrew Garfield, who was spotted chating with his body double. (Hey, two Spideys is better than one).

Giamatti’s Rhino is the other villain that will be featured in the Marc Webb-directed sequel to the 2012 reboot. In April, fans got a first look at Jamie Foxx as Electro.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due for a May 2, 2014 release.

Apparently, Andrew Garfield‘s Spidey Sense is out of order, for it seems he is totally unaware of Emma Stone creepin’ behind him. If this were a horror movie, we’d all be yelling at Andrew to turn around. But it’s not, so we won’t.

On Sunday, Andrew Garfield was spotted filming in his red and blue suit, opposite Jamie Foxx in his pre-Electro state.

The film will be the comic book villain’s big-screen debut.

Marc Webb returns as director, along with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Sally Field as Aunt May. Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, B.J. Novak and Felicity Jones also star in the sequel to the 2012 reboot.

From the Big Apple to sunny Los Angeles, the stars have been keeping busy in the last 24 hours.

Sofia Vergara was all smiles early Wednesday morning as she made her way to ABC Studios for a taping of Good Morning America.

During the interview with GMA, the 40-year-old beauty revealed that she’s frozen her eggs — just in case.

“I wanted to make sure I already froze my eggs. I wanted to take advantage of science,” the actress said of her plan with fiancé Nick Loeb. “I took them out already. They’re in the refrigerators. Hopefully, they’ll be fresh by the time I use them.”

Elsewhere in New York City, Tom Cruise was spotted mingling with some fans outside The Daily Show with Jon Stewart studios. Cruise, 50, has been busy promoting his latest sci-fi film, Oblivion, out Friday.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, his leading lady both on and off screen, were spotted getting flirty and cute on Tuesday while hard at work on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York City’s Union Square.

Stone, 24, bundled up in a pale pink coat and lavender scarf while her 29-year-old beau kept it casual in a black coat, jeans and backpack.

The sequel, out May 2, 2014, is director Marc Webb’s follow-up to 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man.

Earlier this week, fans got a first look at Jamie Foxx in full costume as Electro, the villain who can control electricity.

Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, B.J. Novak and Felicity Jones will also star in the sequel, along with the return of Sally Field as Peter Parker’s aunt May.

Hollywood may have had its biggest night of the year on Sunday, but it was business as usual for some of the industry’s most talented the following day.

Andrew Garfield turned on his Spidey senses on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York City on Monday. The 29-year-old actor will reprise his role as the superhero for the highly anticipated sequel, out in 2014.

The film will also star his real-life girlfriend Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Sally Field and Paul Giamatti.

Elsewhere in the city, Willow Smith was spotted leaving her hotel in SoHo. Over the weekend, it was announced that the title role of the upcoming Annie remake will go to Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis.

Smith, who was originally considered for the part, eventually grew too old for it.

In Hollywood, Jessica Alba donned a fun leopard top while running errands around town. The mother of two recently surpassed her 666th post on Instagram — a bad luck milestone caught by her husband CashWarren.

“Phew #667 post. Glad @CashWarren caught that #superstitious ;),” she wrote on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Netflix gave its subscribers yet another reason to veg out on the couch all day. The company signed a multi-year deal with Disney to exclusively  stream first-run live-action and animated films. Starting in 2016, subscribers will be able to access theatrical releases from Disney, Marvel and Pixar. Netflix announced the deal via press release.

Meanwhile, less than 24 hours after J.J. Abrams unveiled the poster for his top-secret movie Star Trek Into Darkness, word comes that a special 60-second trailer for the film will hit the internet on Thursday, December 6. Simon Pegg, who plays “Mr. Scott” in the film, tweeted the news of the internet-only trailer on Tuesday. Fans wanting to see the full trailer will have to wait until December 14, when it is released before prints of The Hobbit. [Twitter]

On the heels of news that Dale DeHaan will play Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, his co-star Jamie Foxx recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight regarding his role as the sequel’s villain, Electro. “I think Electro will be an exciting character to play because he’s a … genius electrician-type person,” Foxx said. “He gets the short end of the stick from the whole world, and the next thing you know he turns it on.” Andrew Garfield will reprise the role of Spider-Man opposite Foxx in the sequel, which hits theaters May 4, 2012. Work is already progressing on a sequel to Guillermo Del Toro‘s Pacific Rim before the original even has a trailer in theaters. Del Toro and Rim‘s screenwriter Travis Beacham will co-write Pacific Rim 2 for Legendary Pictures, the production outlet behind the original film. No word yet on what the story will be, other than it will be set in the same “monsters vs. 30-foot robots” world of the original film. Pacific Rim opens July 2013. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Frances Ford Coppola, after a string of small indie movies, is returning to studio filmmaking. The Godfather director is currently looking for studio to set up home for his next film, a sprawling New York-based epic that spans from the 1920s to the ’60s. The mystery project will mark the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s first studio film since 1997′s The Rainmaker, starring Matt Damon. [Entertainment Weekly]

Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jason Clarke and Drive‘s Oscar Isaac will topline Mojave, written and directed by Oscar-winner William Monahan. The thriller’s plot is being kept under wraps, but the story reportedly centers on two men who end up in the dessert and find themselves entering “a vortex of criminality and violence.” Monahan will finish the big screen adaptation of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, starring Charlize Theron, before shooting Mojave early next year. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has found its Harry Osborn.

Director Marc Webb announced that Chronicle star Dane DeHaan will play Peter Parker’s friend and future nemesis in the Sony sequel.

In addition to DeHaan, actors Alden Ehrenreich and Brady Corbet were also up for the role. DeHaan had his breakout role earlier this year, in Fox’s found-footage superhero hit Chronicle. James Franco previously played the character in Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man films.

Webb broke the news via Twitter, which was quickly followed by an official press release which confirmed that DeHaan will play the role in the second chapter of a planned trilogy.

The new Harry Osborn will join Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx and Oscar-nominee Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) in the film, alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release May 2, 2014.

1. ‘Spider-Man’ Sequel Casting Call

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is looking for a new Harry Osborn.

Actors Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook (Hatfields & McCoys) are up for the role of Peter Parker’s nefarious best friend, according to The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.

The sequel, which recently cast Jamie Foxx as the villain Electro, hits theatres May 2, 2014.

2. First Poster for ‘Evil Dead’ Remake Arrives

Yahoo! Movies released the first poster for the remake of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead, and it makes the bold claim of being “The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience.”

3. Tom Hardy Is ‘The Outsider’

The Dark Knight Rises’ Tom Hardy is zeroing in on yet another project to add to his busy slate.

Variety reported on Monday that the actor is considering the lead role in the crime thriller, The Outsider. The film, produced by Joel Silver, centers on “an American ex-patriot who becomes a Yakuza enforcer and falls in love with a young woman within the crime family, which is seen as a betrayal.”

Safe House’s Daniel Espinosa is reportedly in talks to direct.

4. Bill Murray’s Next Film Finds a Distributor

Bill Murray’s comedic-drama, St. Vincent De Van Nuys, has found a home.

The Weinstein Company is closing a deal to finance and distribute the film, Deadline.com reported Monday. The $13 million production features Murray as a retired war veteran with a drinking and gambling problem, who befriends his 12-year-old neighbor.

The film, which marks the directorial debut of writer Ted Melfi, starts production June 2013.

5. ‘Insidious’ Sequel Gets a Release Date

Fans of 2011’ horror hit Insidious finally have a sequel.

On Monday, FilmDistrict announced via press release that Insidious Chapter 2 is set for an August 30, 2013 release.

Stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne are set to return, along with director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Celebuzz will keep you posted.

Looks like Andrew Garfield will have plenty of space to flaunt the dances moves he recently displayed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Real Estalker reports that the 29-year-old Spider-Man star and his girlfriend, Emma Stone, have moved into a Beverly Hills property that spans more than 3,800 square feet.

The home, listed for $2.5 million, includes four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a heated swimming pool and ample outdoor space.

Stone, 24, and her beau have been dating since meeting on the Spider-Man film set. The couple’s West Coast property isn’t the first home they’ve shared. They reportedly moved in together in a New York City apartment earlier this year.

“They wanted a subtle, understated look that was comfortable,” a source told Life & Style in April.

Their new $2.5M home includes a temperature controlled walk-in wine closet, galley-style kitchen and breakfast room.

But the real takeaway is the master suite, which features a private, marble fireplace, French doors that open to the backyard, a double sink vanity, oversized tub and shower for two.

Stone and Garfield won’t be the first famous faces to live at the Beverly Hills property. The home was previously occupied by the late English movie star Dudley Moore.

But after a madcap dash through the United Kingdom – which readers will see later this week – we’re back in the U.S. for a look at the latest high-definition releases.

In addition to Brave, Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man arrives on home video this week, as well as a set of Pixar short films and the bloodsucker comedy Vamps.

The Amazing Spider-Man (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Garfield and Emma Stone, under the guidance of (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb, reimagine the web-slinger in this franchise reboot.

Picture Perfect? In 2- or 3D, the movie looks terrific, providing glossy, crystal-clear images that show up beautifully on the small screen.

What Else Is There? A commentary track and Second Screen Experience, both of which are paired with the film itself, offer viewers additional insights into the making of the movie, while a seven-part documentary dives into the conceptualization of what is becoming the second Spider-Man film series.

How Badly Do I Want It? A good-looking if woefully familiar story that reveals far too little to differentiate it from its predecessors, The Amazing Spider-Man is at least worth a rental if you’re a fan of the series, but the behind-the-scenes material is where the set really stands out.

Brave (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Pixar’s first female-driven feature revolves around a headstrong teenager named Merida (Kelly Macdonald) who clashes with her mother (Emma Thompson) after she’s sentenced to a fate worse than death: marriage.

Picture Perfect? As with all of Pixar’s Blu-rays, the image quality is second to none, offering remarkable clarity and detail in both 2- and 3D, bringing to life the mythic Scottish landscape where Merida makes her home.

What Else Is There? A new short film, The Legend of Mordu, explores the background of the superhuman bear that threatens Merida’s homeland, while a series of featurettes and documentaries fully examines not just the origins of the story, but the conceptualization of its world via an in-depth trip for the filmmakers to authentic Scotland landscapes to find and draw inspiration.

How Badly Do I Want It? A solid if not quite transcendent effort from the always talented folks at Pixar, it’s nevertheless a beautiful, unique tale that deserves to be seen – at least via rental, if not as a worthy addition to your library of Pixar titles.

Entourage: The Complete Series (HBO Home Video)

The One-Liner: Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and the rest of his crew return to home video in an expansive new Blu-ray set collecting the entire series plus plenty of extras.

Picture Perfect? Appropriately, the show maintains a solid and consistent level of Hollywood gloss, offering vivid and clear picture quality that more than maintains its original broadcast quality.

What Else Is There? Audio commentaries explore the making of each episode and some of the inspirations for their plotlines, while “Mark Wahlberg Sessions” explores the origins of the series as a whole and the process of mapping the characters’ individual (and collective) trajectories.

How Badly Do I Want It? A charming if not terribly substantive television series that’s actually best watched in one viewing, this is probably a better rental than purchase, but as a single-serving week’s worth of entertainment, one could do worse.

Pixar Short Films Vol. 2 (Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: In this second collection of shorts, Pixar assembles the films that were attached to the front of many of your favorite feature-length efforts, but excised from those features Blu-ray iterations.

Picture Perfect? As with Brave, the picture quality is top-notch, preserving the detail and clarity of the animation with vivid specificity.

What Else Is There? Each of the shorts comes with a commentary track, offering fans a chance to look behind the curtain and see how each of them was conceived, but the real standout extra is a collection of student films from various Pixar luminaries that looks back at their earliest efforts.

How Badly Do I Want It? Much like they’re presented on the features, the shorts are interesting, but essentially an apertif for bigger things, so this is worth watching more sociologically or historically than as its own entity.

Vamps (Anchor Bay Home Entertainment)

The One-Liner: Alicia Silverstone teams up with Krysten Ritter in a fun, ferocious vampire tale about two hip bloodsuckers trying to deal with contemporary culture at a time when they’re quite literally timeless.

Picture Perfect? The transfer does a solid job but don’t expect this to be a reference disc for home theaters.

What Else Is There? Alas, nothing, although Silverstone reprising a version of her Clueless character Cher (much less for that film’s director, Amy Heckerling) seems like it warrants some kind of featurette or commentary on that particular choice.

How Badly Do I Want It? Worth renting at absolute best, but not really rewarding, even for Clueless fans.

We can add dancing to the long list of things Andrew Garfield does well, as the star of The Amazing Spider-Man showed off his best moves to some of today’s most popular dance crazes for Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday.

The talk show host challenged the adorable Brit to do the dances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, sans music, to help raise money for his charity, Worldwide Orphans Foundation. For each dance completed successfully,  the 29-year-old would receive $1,000 towards his charity.

Garfield not only did his best Gangnam Style, but he also performed the Irish jig, a belly dance and “Single Ladies.” With the hilarious bit, the star raised $10,000 dollars for his charity.

The star, who appeared on the program to promote the Blu-ray and DVD release of The Amazing Spider-Man, sidestepped questions about girlfriend and co-star Emma Stone, joking that he recently moved in with fellow co-star Denis Leary.

Garfield was also sporting some major facial hair on the show. When DeGeneres asked him if he was worried that he couldn’t grow a beard, the actor said, “yes.”

The talk show host then joked about how most men want to know that they can grow a beard well. “That’s the only reason to be a man,” explained Garfield.

Lionsgate announced Thursday, via press release, that Hunger Games: Catching Fire helmer Francis Lawrence will also direct Mockingjay: Parts 1 and 2.

The I Am Legend director will wrap Catching Fire and directly move on to the first half of the Mockingjay finale. That’s some serious Herculean-endurance there.

Catching Fire, which stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, arrives in theatres November 22, 2013. Mockingkay: Part 1 is due out on November 21, 2014, with Part 2 set for release on November 20, 2015.

3. Jamie Foxx In Talks to Play Villain in Amazing Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man fans were surprised Thursday to learn that Jamie Foxx is circling a role in director Marc Webb’s sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.

Variety broke the news on Thursday, confirming that the Oscar-winner is in talks to play the villain Electro, a character that can control and wield electricity.

Should Foxx lock down the part, he’ll join returning stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the sequel, which hits theatres May 4, 2014.

4. Michael Fassbender To Star in Genius

Prometheus’ Michael Fassbender will star opposite Colin Firth in Genius.

A press release on Thursday confirmed the casting. Genius is based on A. Scott Berg’s biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius, and tells the story of the relationship between Thomas Wolfe (Fassbender) and his longtime editor, Max Perkins (Firth).

Michael Grandage will direct from a script by Skyfall’s John Logan. Production is scheduled for a 2014 start.

5. G.I. Joe: Retalliation Debuts New Trailer

Ever since Paramount moved G.I. Joe: Retaliation from Summer 2012 to March 29, 2013, things have been quiet on the sequel. But not anymore.

On Thursday, Paramount revealed a new international trailer for the sequel on YouTube. With 100% more Channing Tatum and explosion-y goodness. Click here to watch the trailer.

Jamie Foxx is in negotiations to play the villain in Sony’s sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Oscar-winner would play Electro, Variety reported Thursday, a character with the power to manipulate and control electricity.

Foxx all but confirmed his casting on Twitter Thursday, when he posted the following: “Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well.”

The Spidey sequel recently added The Descendants‘ actress Shailene Woodley to play Mary Jane Parker in the sequel, which will also see Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone return to reprise the roles of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, respectively.

Marc Webb, the director of the first film, will also return to helm the second. Sony plans to release Amazing Spider-Man 2 on May 2, 2014.

Shailene Woodley, who co-starred with George Clooney in Alexander Payne’s The Descendants, received an offer to play Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, director Marc Webb’s follow-up to his 2012 blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man.

Despite relaunching the franchise with Gwen Stacy – played by Emma Stone – as Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) love interest, Webb and distributor Sony Pictures are evidently interested in creating a love triangle for the superhero.

Variety reported this week that Woodley was fielding an offer for the role.

Although Woodley drew raves for her turn as a troubled teenager in The Descendants, she’s been refining that character as Amy Juergens on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, which she started working on in 2008.

Meanwhile, if Woodley takes the role she’ll have the legacy of Kirsten Dunst’s turn as the character to live up to: Dunst played the character in all three of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Manmovies.

That said, people were decidedly unconcerned about Stone stepping into Stacy’s shoes after Bryce Dallas Howard briefly played her in Spider-Man 3. In which case, Woodley’s challenge will be transforming herself into a catwalk-ready party girl, instead of the more sensitive and thoughtful characters she’s played in the past.

Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone, 23, graces the cover of the September issue of Interview magazine, opening up about what it’s like to have your heart broken.

“I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up,” Stone described, recalling her first heartbreak as a teenager.

She added: “Like, within the hour. I remember being on the floor… I have never felt anything quite like that. It was so visceral. It’s like someone has killed you and you have to live through it and watch it happen… It was awful.”

What else did Stone reveal in her latest interview?

The starlet also revealed her surprising Hollywood inspiration.

“John Candy might be my acting hero. He’s the perfect example… of someone who can find the humor in the dramatic moments. He just has that broken mirror within him all the time.”

Stone, who is currently dating Andrew Garfield, then dished on Hollywood stud Ryan Gosling, who she had the pleasure of working with on Crazy, Stupid, Love. But it isn’t his rugged good looks and sculpted physique that the actress is so fond of.

“I’ve asked him [Gosling] to read a couple of scripts. I just really like hearing his viewpoint because I know that it’s never going to be tainted. He’s very much his own person,” Stone gushed.

She continued: “It has really just been scripts so far, because I only met him two years ago when we did Crazy, Stupid, Love, but it was like meeting a member of your team or something I really like his brain.”
