When it comes to music, 2013 promises to be a year of the comeback.

Following a 2012 filled with solid debuts — from Frank Ocean‘s channel ORANGE and the Alabama Shakes‘ Boys & Girls to Kendrick Lamar‘s good kid m.A.A.d city and Jack White‘s first solo effort, Blunderbuss — this year is bringing back  some familiar sounds.

Be it a brief or years-long hiatus from the recording studio, a handful of big names are returning to their music industry home in 2013.

From Beyoncé polishing off her fifth studio album, to Justin Timberlake bringing sexy back with his first solo venture since 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds, to Mariah Carey readying to release her (gasp!) 14th studio album, the charts are sure be blazing with music A-listers throughout the coming months.
