It certainly looks that way, because Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Fergie, and Demi Lovato are all reportedly in talks to join FOX’s singing reality show competition, The X Factor. While many have been speculating that Britney Spears will be joining the judges on the show, which also includes record exec L.A. Reid, Celebuzz reported on Tuesday that the 19-year-old “Party in the USA” singer is in negotiations as well. However, there are reports that the other three singers are also being considered for the coveted job.

Back in January, unconfirmed reports claimed that Avril and Brody had called it quits. But both Brody and Avril shot back on Twitter, seemingly fed up with the recent reports — claiming that Brody wasn’t ready to walk down the aisle despite Lavigne’s urge to get married, among other things. Jenner vented on Twitter:

“It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her.”

Avril has been spending a good amount of time in New York City lately. Earlier this week, she was spotted bowling at an event that she was participating in.

Avril, who was born on September 27, 1984, has been belting out hits left and right over the last nine years, everything from her debut single “Complicated” all the way to her recent infectious I’m-young-and-ready-to-have-fun anthem “What the Hell?” Avril, who has been dating Brody Jenner recently, will be spending her birthday at home in her new home of Los Angeles, saying on Twitter:

Home for a couple of days. Then off to Canada the whole month of October on my tour. First show is in Victoria on Saturday who is coming??!!

Ten years ago, “home” was Canada, as the pop-punk crooner was born in Ontario.

After partying it up at Kim Kardashian‘s wedding on Saturday, the couple flew straight to Vegas to celebrate his 28th birthday at The Bank Nightclub at the Bellagio. Proving that he was ready to get back on the waves after his surfing accident in May, he and Avril were spotted recently shopping for new surfing equipment. 

Brody, a known surfing addict, was given a West Coast beach-themed birthday cake decorated with surfboards and the names of his favorite surfing spots.

While the singer is the UK, she’ll be presenting at the BRIT awards. “I don’t know what award I am presenting yet, but I am excited,” she told the BBC’s Daybreak. “I have been to the BRITs a couple of times, I remember performing ‘Sk8er Boi’ there.”
