Maxim Magazine held its 10th Annual Hot 100 Celebration—in honor of its just-released Hot 100 list for 2009—at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday night.

Attendees included Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe, “Goodies” singer Ciara, Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey, Audrina Patridge, newlyweds Spencer and Heidi Pratt, Dancing With the Stars siblings Derek and Julianne Hough, Amanda Bynes, Bai Ling and Gabrielle Union.

Wow; sounds like they needed an airplane hangar to house all of that awesomeness in one place.

With so much going on, it would be difficult to pinpoint a highlight of the event, but Khloe Kardashian had no problem identifying what she enjoyed most about the evening.

“My favorite part was the churros and ferris wheel!!!” she enthuses.

Churros and a ferris wheel—now that sounds like the makings for a magical evening.

New Moon hottie Kellan Lutz was there, wearing a beanie that could have been stolen right off his buddy Rob Pattinson‘s head. And he seemed to have made a camera-toting, banana-shaped friend during the course of the night.

Earlier in the evening, Lutz was spotted at the Barnes & Noble bookstore at The Grove in Los Angeles, where he attended a reading by author Evan Wright for his new anthology, Hella Nation. Wright is also the author of Generation Kill, a book about the Iraq war. Lutz played Cpl. Jason  Lilley in the HBO adaptation of the book.

Avril Lavigne looked pretty out of it as she exited the night club, wearing a red hoodie and black skirt. Her husband Deryck Whibley was noticeably absent. (Is he ever with her anymore?)

Other stars who hit up MyHouse: Tom Green (who recently ended a stint on Celebrity Apprentice), Bai Ling, Rachel Sterling, Chris Evans and Michael Rosenbaum.

And while we adore M.I.A. for holding her own (on her baby’s due date) with rappers Jay-Z, Kanye West, T.I. and Lil’ Wayne, she certainly has introduced a new genre in maternity wear.

Page Six reports that Rourke hit up infamous celeb haunt Chateau Marmont this week with Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn for some post-Globes partying.

Animal lover Rourke and Lindsay Lohan career counselor Penn seem to have put Mickey’s charges that Sean is a pretending actor behind them.  Which left Rourke free to pursue other controversial and one-of-a-kind show-business figures.

Sources told the column that the 9 1/2 Weeks star “made out and partied pretty hard” with off-and-on actress and constant red-carpet attraction Bai Ling.

Rourke, 52, was also photographed with 42-year-old Ling just two days after claiming his acting prize at L.A. Confidential‘s after-Globe celebration.

As far as romantic history, Rourke is most famous for his tumultuous (to say the least) affair with model Carré Otis.  In 1989, the pair costarred in director Zalman King‘s Wild Orchid (along with Jacqueline Bisset).  Plot summaries of Wild Orchid invariably include the phrase “series of erotic encounters.”  King would go on to reign on cable with the soft-porn tease of Red Shoe Diaries.

And Mickey, it seems, will continue his “series of erotic encounters” on into his fifties.

Seeing Fox Mulder and Dana Scully together again not only warmed X-Philes hearts, it also caused one creature of unknown origin to beam down from Planet XXX.

Where’s Flukeman to suck its brains out when you need him?

Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson offered up her pregnancy workout regimen to Us: “The only thing I do when I’m pregnant is eat and sit on my butt! What’s the point in working out until I have the baby?”

After the kid is born in October, Gillian ought to hit up Halle Berry for tips on how to become instantly hot again after giving birth.

Without any albums, movies or even the tiniest bit of career success, it’s a pretty big feat to get both feet onto the carpet. Mock congratulations are in order!
