Jennifer Lopez isn’t the only one dropping some serious cash on a new pad.

Only her ex, Marc Anthony, is spending millions making the West Coast his home.

The singer just splashed out $2.5 million for an Italian-style 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath villa in the gated Los Angeles enclave of Amestoy Estates in Encino, Calif., according to Trulia.

And this kind of big spending comes with some even bigger inspiration, literally. Anthony, 44, bought the posh property from fellow crooner Carlos Pena Jr. from the teen fangirling boy band sensation, Big Time Rush.

Being married to “Jenny from the Block,” Anthony knows a thing or two about living the luxe life. And believe me, this oversized bachelor pad comes with some A-list amenities that only J.Lo would approve.

VIPs will enter through dual electric gates, paver-stoned courtyard with a fountain reminiscent of the old Italian countryside. The stunning custom front door of leded and beveled glass opens to a dramatic two-story foyer with limestone floors and sweeping staircase with crystal chandelier.

The living room comes with a fireplace, French doors, family room with wet bar, dining room that opens to a charming courtyard, custom kitchen with chef’s style appliances, wine cellar, and maid’s courters.

Moving on up to the second floor you’ll find four bedrooms, a study and, of course, the master suite boasting a marble fireplace, balcony, dual vanities, dual dressing tables, and… wait for it… an oversized steam shower and a metrosexual’s dream — two walk-in closets.

And outside, you’ll find vine covered arbors surrounding the sparkling pool and spa, two BBQs, and pool house with kitchen and bathroom.

The talk of the town this week was the annual Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. At this hallowed eve, every other famous person gathered in their craziest get-ups to celebrate all thinks punk (this year’s theme). With this event came lots of celebrity Tweets and Instagram snaps, which gave us an even more personal behind-the-scenes look at the festivities.

Just a few days before flying to New York for the Gala, Nicole Richie posted a picture of herself in front of the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood. The socialite was joined by her equally beautiful friends, Liberty Ross and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. All three of the ladies looked infinitely chic, which foreshadowed Richie and Huntington-Whiteley’s daring looks at the gala, days later.

Fast forward to the day of the Met Gala itself: one of its veterans, Kate Bosworth gave us a closeup of her pink, embellished Balmain dress, via Twitter. Uma Thurman also opted for a candid picture of herself in her stunning Zac Posen gown — in the museum bathroom. Candid, indeed!

Kendall Schmidt of Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush also spent some time in the Big Apple this week. The singer headed to New York to do press for the upcoming summer tour and album release from the boy band. He paired his excursion with a picture of himself en route.

When it comes to the guys of  Big Time Rush, the word “Rush” is, and always has been, an operative word. In fact, any down time at all is far too elusive of a notion to even consider, between the filming of their Nickelodeon TV show, the recording of their next studio album, and the planning of another multi-month, multi-national tour.

This time around, going into the fourth season of the show (also titled Big Time Rush,) and their third album, Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, James Maslow, and Carlos Pena are just happy to hone in on one endeavor at a time.

“Since we got back from tour, it’s been really nice to actually just focus on one thing at a time. We’ve been really focused on writing, got the majority of the album done,” Maslow, 22, told Celebuzz. “Now, we’re focused on finishing that album and the fourth season. And then we get to shift our focus, and focus only on the tour.”

Maslow added,”Every year before this has kind of been a collaboration of all three trying to keep them going at once, so it’s been nice to spread it out this year. So we’re really excited about that and really excited about our next step, which is going on tour again.”

Last year, BTR spent more than five months on the road for their Better With U Tour, which was quickly followed by their Big Time Summer Tour. And since then, “Rushers” have been patiently waiting for the news of the band’s next concert series.

“We literally are still locking in dates, so we’re probably gonna announce very soon when we’re gonna go. But, it’s a summer tour for sure,” revealed Henderson.

So, which countries are the guys hoping to visit this summer? The boys mentioned Australia and Spain as topping their list.

The most important factor of the impending tour is, of course, new music. Luckily, the band members spent this past winter in the studio working on the followup of their 2011 album, Elevate, which went gold in three countries.

“The music has really come along,” Henderson, 23, said. “We’ve grown as artists as far as the music goes. We are planning for a tour… and we already kind of had our album locked in. So, new music is another thing. We’ve been hard at work in the studio working with a lot of fun people.”

The guys have been working with producers including Damon Sharpe and Toby Gad, who have previously produced for Beyonce, Robin Thicke, and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few.

Maslow added, “We have the title for the new album, we just haven’t announced it yet. Very soon hopefully!”

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are approaching quickly — it airs on Saturday. But, Celebuzz got a advance peek inside the USC Galen Center where the show is going down. Plus (lucky us), our tour guides were the boys of Big Time Rush.

Here’s what we learned!

The guys of BTR are sitting the front row seats, naturally. They will be sitting a row in front of their friends from the Nickelodeon show, Victorious, and right next to actress and presenter Ashley Tisdale. Now, that sounds like a fun area to sit in.

Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena and Logan Hendersonall have empty seats next to them for a plus one to fill.

The only problem is.. one of them still doesn’t have a date. Brace yourselves, ladies. Henderson doesn’t have anyone to fill that seat just yet.

“I still have to look for my date,” he told Celebuzz on Thursday. “I’ve been working so much, so I haven’t actually found mine.”

What if he can’t find a date in two days? Maybe, he’ll find a date at the show. Newly-single ladies, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry, are sitting side-by-side a couple seats down from Henderson.

And a few seats away from them are iCarly’s Miranda Cosgrove and US Olympian Gabby Douglas.

If he can’t find a date, he’d be OK with another blimp — the show’s quirky award. Last year, Big Time Rush won for Favorite Music Group and they are up for the same nomination this year.

Band member Maslow agreed that he would be happy to display another blimp, “I just moved, so I only have one table in my living room right now and it’s sitting on that. I’m proud of it, but it could use a case.”

He continued, “If we had two though, we could make more of a display. We would be motivated if we had a second one.” Hint, hint, voters!

Simon Cowell may have discovered One Direction, but a fellow boy band says they’re responsible for the English group’s massive success — at least, in the U.S. of A.

“One thing we can say is that they never played in the U.S. until they opened for us on our winter tour,” James Maslow of Big Time Rush told Celebuzz.

Maslow, along with fellow BTR members Carlos Pena Jr. and Kendall Schmidt, were in Santa Monica, Calif. for the Hall of Game Awards hosted by the Cartoon Network on Feb. 9.

“All I gotta say is that this is America,” Schmidt added with a smirk. “This is America, and we’re American. They’re still not an American boy band. We’re representing. We’re holding our own.”

Jokes aside, it’s hard to believe that exactly one year has passed since 1D opened for 10 BTR shows during the Better With U Tour. Now, Harry Styles and the boys are just days away from embarking on their 2013 World Tour.

“They did ask for us to go and open for them,” Pena Jr. said of returning the tour favor. “We really wanted to . . . our show shoots right now, and it kind of conflicted.”

“Maybe one day we can play again — it’d be fun,” added Maslow.

The band, who was missing Logan Henderson on the red carpet, also dished on their upcoming third album.

“We wrote literally 99 percent of it, from our hands,” Schmidt revealed. “I think our fans are really going to appreciate the music they’re haring from the third album. It’s coming from us.”

Ne-Yo may have performed for a very deserving crowd at Saturday’s TeenNick Halo Awards, but the singer also had two huge fans in Big Time Rush.

“I’ve ben a fan of Ne-Yo before I even had a job in music,” BTR’s James Maslow told Celebuzz on the red carpet before the show.

Carlos Pena, who presented an award with the group at the event, held at the Hollywood Palladium, even provided some fun trivia on the carpet.

“He has a song called ‘Let Me Love You,’ and he wrote Mario’s ‘Let Me Love You.’ He did it twice . . . he’s pretty awesome,” Pena said.

The TeenNick Halo Awards, which recognizes teenagers who make a difference in their communities, also welcomed the likes of Mariah Carey, Lucy Hale, Victoria Justice and show creator, co-host and producer Nick Cannon.

“There are so many kids out there who are doing so much, even more than we are . . . they’re just giving their entire lives to go and help other people out and to me, that’s such a beautiful thing,” Pena said about the young difference makers.

The 2012 TeenNick Halo Awards will air Monday at 8PM ET on Nick at Nite.

How many 22-year-olds do you know who can claim to be the proud uncle of a pet pig and the proud owner of two BMWs?

Well, there’s Big Time Rush lead singer Kendall Schmidt, who’s been spotted in Los Angeles walking brother Kevin‘s pig. Yuma. Though these days, Kendall is driving around windows down in his shiny new BMW.

The “Windows Down” singer purchased a glacier silver metallic 2013 BMW Hybrid 3 on Tuesday. The sports car costs over $64,000, and as a testament to the boy band’s commercial success, this is Schmidt’s second BMW.

A source close to Schmidt told Celebuzz the singer chose the BMW Hybrid because it was eco-friendly. Schmidt originally eyed another luxury vehicle, but his father Kent Schmidt was on hand to steer his son in the right direction. Schmidt also took the time to pose with his young fans before speeding off in his new ride.

Schmidt is so passionate about environmental issues, he recently teamed up with his brothers Kenneth and Kevin to launch iAquaponics.com, a site designed to educate the public on the commercial food production system known as Aquaponics. He even wrote a letter to First Lady Michelle Obama asking for her support.

“The traditional method of food production — farming outside cities and trucking it all in — seems to make less and less sense as transport costs increase,” Schmidt told Celebuzz in September. “Plus, there’s the nutrient loss to consider.”

The Big Time Rush star stopped by House of Horrors And Haunted Catacombs in Buffalo, N.Y., last Friday night — and he wasn’t the only one. Over 8,000 Rushers lined up for hours just to meet the Big Time Rush singer. His arrival was not only met with thousands of shrieks, but he also took home over 300 gifts from fans.

“I continue to be humbled by the support of my fans and wouldn’t be where I am without them,” Schmidt told Celebuzz.

When he’s not busy getting spooked, Schmidt is hard at at work making music and launching his family’s new project, iAquaponics.com, a site designed to educate the public on the commercial food production system known as Aquaponics.

With over 7,000 Facebook posts and thousands of tweets – in less then 24 hours — Rushers are demanding that Big Time Rush perform at this year’s show. Watch out, Glitzy! There’s a new pig on the Hollywood scene — and she’s ready to be a big time star.

Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt and his brother Kevin Schmidt are proud of Kev’s pet pig Yuma, who has been hard at work, training for her big screen debut. It seems talent really does run in the Schmidt family — even the family pets are stars!

When they’re not busy training Yuma, the Schmidt bros — including older brother Kenneth —  are hard at at work making music and launching their new project, iAquaponics.com, a site designed to educate the public on the commercial food production system known as Aquaponics.

Kendall is so passionate about the project, he recently wrote a letter to First Lady Michelle Obama asking for her support.

“My family and I have been interested in aquaponics for many years now,” he told Celebuzz back in September. “The traditional method of food production — farming outside cities and trucking it all in — seems to make less and less sense as transport costs increase …  Plus, there’s the nutrient loss to consider.”

In August, Big Time Rush performed at the White House for Michelle Obama’s “Kids State Dinner,” during which the First Lady told the group to “make smart choices.”

Now, band member Kendall Schmidt is taking her advice to heart.

Schmidt recently teamed up with his brothers Kenneth and Kevin to launch iAquaponics.com, a site designed to educate the public on the commercial food production system known as Aquaponics — and he’s so passionate about the project, he wrote a letter to Michelle Obama asking for her support.

Celebuzz recently spoke to the Schmidt brothers about their website, organic lifestyle and whether they actually eat any junk food. Check out the full interview, plus an exclusive look at Kendall’s letter to Michelle Obama, after the jump.

CELEBUZZ: Kendall, the first time you’ve performed for the First Family. What’s it like knowing that Michelle Obama chose BTR for the kids’ state dinner — and that she even sang along?

KENDALL SCHMIDT: It’s pretty cool to have the support of the First Family. But past their position in politics, they’re very nice people, that’s what I really respond to.

CB: Did the first lady give you any advice or healthy tips?
KENDALL: She said to make smart choices.

CB: Be honest: How much junk food is in the Schmidt household — and on the BTR tour bus?
KENDALL: Not as much as there used to be!
KEVIN: Kenneth and I were chubby bunnies growing up.
KENNETH: We try to avoid the junk food as much as possible.
KEVIN: But we still pig out from time to time. I’m an ice cream and potato chips guy.
KENNETH: Together? Gross.
KEVIN: Hardy har har. Funny, Kenneth.

CB: What inspired you to write the letter to Michelle Obama? And what can you tell us about your current aquaponics project? Is it a healthy living initiative similar to her “Let’s Move” campaign?
KENDALL: My family and I have been interested in aquaponics for many years now.
KEVIN: I came across the technology when I was researching material for a film that is set in the near future.  I was trying to figure out how society was going to feed all seven billion people on the planet.
KENDALL: The traditional method of food production — farming outside cities and trucking it all in — seems to make less and less sense as transport costs increase …  Plus, there’s the nutrient loss to consider.
KEVIN: The goal of our business model is to grow large quantities of fish and produce inside cities across the U.S. and world.
KENDALL: Our concept is part “Let’s Find A More Efficient Way To Feed People Affordable, High-Quality Food” and part “Let’s Move.”
KEVIN: Mrs. Obama’s goals and our own are definitely parallel, which is why we decided to reach out and see if there’s a chance of combining our efforts to some degree.

CB: You guys work on so many projects together, but do you ever get annoyed with one another?
KENDALL: At moments, maybe, but we don’t see much of each other these days!
KENNETH: Kendall’s either filming Big Time Rush, touring, or at a photo shoot somewhere.  I’m in Chicago attending school and spending time in China over the next two years.
KEVIN: And I’m either filming something, building a business, or locked in a room writing!
KENDALL: Basically, we get along too well to be annoyed. If anything, we miss hanging out.

CB: Do the Schmidt bros have anything else in the works? Perhaps something more musical?
KENNETH: I’m releasing a conceptual video for “Micro-Macro” in the near future. I hope the message encourages people to think about the future they wish to create for themselves and ultimately civilization.

CB: How do you enjoy being a role model for your young fans? What’s the most important piece of advice you would give to them?
KEVIN: I don’t think our intention is to be “role models.” If anything, we have great parents who raised us well.  They always encouraged us to make our own choices and accept responsibility for those choices; good, bad or ugly.
KENDALL: Sometimes we fall on our faces, but we always get back up.  We never quit.
KENNETH: “Can’t” was a word our parents told us never to use. That was sound advise then and it’s sound advice now.

Big Time Rush fans can get a little crazy for their favorite foursome — and the boys wouldn’t have it any other way.

In August, Kendall Schmidt got a bit of a shock when a fan threw a bra at him on-stage. The 21-year-old accidentally swatted it away before he even realized what it was, as the crowd — and his bandmates — erupted in laughter.

What does Schmidt have to say about “The Bra Incident?”

“Rushers are the best fans, and they always surprise me,” he tells Celebuzz.

Big Time Rush are currently wrapping up their Big Time Summer Tour, with final shows in Canada, Mexico and Portland, Ore.

Kendall’s older brother Kevin Schmidt toured with BTR for a week over the summer, and he told Celebuzz that the experience was, well, a “big time rush.”

“When the boys weren’t performing, we watched late night movies on the bus after gigs, laughed a lot, and witnessed the inking of more than a few tattoos! I told Kendall and Logan, ‘I’m here to be the hundred-sixty pound fly on the wall.’ I think I succeeded,” he said.

In July, Kendall got inked with a sugar skull tattoo on his upper arm. The tat represents Mexico’s annual All Souls’ Day, which falls on Nov. 2. Coincidentally, that also happens to be Kendall’s birthday.

The band also had the opportunity to perform at the White House this summer in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s healthy living campaign.

Jane Fiemeyer is still very much on the minds of Big Time Rush.

“It’s a blessing for Jane to have included us in her life!” Logan Henderson told Celebuzz this weekend.

Jane, 8, had been battling leukemia for more than one year before doctors advised her mother that treatment was no longer an option. The boys were planning to surprise their young fan at her home on Sept. 10.

What else did Logan have to say on behalf of BTR?

“I hope that our message to Jane gave her hope and happiness. My love goes out to Jane’s family during this difficult time,” Henderson told us.

Last week, Big Time Rush, along with Kendall Schmidt’s brothers Kevin and Kenneth, recorded a special video for Jane as she was too fragile to travel at the time.

“The boys and I never got a chance to meet Jane Fiemeyer in person, and we are deeply saddened to hear that she has passed away,” Kendall told Celebuzz on Thursday.

“We, together with The Make A Wish Foundation, were right in the middle of planning a trip to meet Jane in person, but the universe had other, even greater plans that took her from us all way ahead of her time,” he added.

Also on Thursday, Carlos Pena Jr. took to Twitter to pay tribute to his young fan:

My heart and prayers go out to The Fiemeyer family.We are here for u Wish I could of met little Jane. Her story will inspire me for ever <3

Big Time Rush is in the middle of their Big Time Summer Tour. The group is scheduled to perform in Michigan on Sunday, followed by shows in Illinois, Oregon and Nevada.

Big Time Rush is mourning the loss of one of its biggest fans.

Eight-year-old Jane Fiemeyer had been battling leukemia for over a year, and when treatment was no longer an option, her mother Jil Flemeyer launched a campaign to make her daughter’s dream of meeting the boy band a reality.

Sadly, Celebuzz has learned that Jane, affectionately known as Princess Warrior, lost her battle with leukemia on Thursday before getting the opportunity to meet her idols. The band was planning to surprise Jane at her home on Sept. 10.

Now Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt and his older bother Kenneth Schmidt are opening up about Jane’s unfortunate passing.

“The boys and I never got a chance to meet Jane Fiemeyer in person, and we are deeply saddened to hear that she has passed away,” Kendall tells Celebuzz. “We, together with The Make A Wish Foundation, were right in the middle of planning a trip to meet Jane in person, but the universe had other, even greater plans that took her from us all way ahead of her time.”

He adds, “Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to the Fiemeyer family so that they may find peace.”

As we previously reported, Big Time Rush, together with the Kendall’s brothers Kevin and Kenneth, recorded a video to their young fan, which Jane was able to watch before her passing.

“When those we love pass on, it is always hard for those we leave behind. But Jane Fiemeyer left us today in a way I think we all hope to leave… that way being surrounded by love.  Jane Fiemeyer… you were loved immensely and you will be missed,” Kenneth tells Celebuzz.

On Tuesday, Kevin tweeted, “Beautiful Jane Flemeyer, A birdy told me for you to look out for a message from @bigtimerush tomorrow. :) Xo Warrior Princess, Kevin.”

How did the Schmidt brothers, James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr. and Logan Henderson pass time on the tour bus? Plus, who got a new tattoo?

“Going on the Big Time Summer Tour with Kendall and Logan was a big time rush,” Kevin tells Celebuzz. “It was awesome traveling across the U.S. on the tour bus and ending up in Kansas City, a hometown crowd for Kendall and I.”

However, when Kendall and the boys weren’t on stage entertaining their screaming fans, Kevin says they liked to hang out on the tour bus.

“When the boys weren’t performing, we watched late night movies on the bus after gigs, laughed a lot, and witnessed the inking of more than a few tattoos! I told Kendall and Logan, ‘I’m here to be the hundred-sixty pound fly on the wall.’ I think I
succeeded.”

In July, Kendall got inked with a sugar skull tattoo on his upper arm. The tat represents Mexico’s annual All Soul’s Day, which falls on Nov. 2. Coincidentally, that also happens to be Kendall’s birthday.

Earlier this week, Big Time Rush performed at the White House in support of first lady Michelle Obama’s healthy living campaign. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Kendall and Kevin’s eldest brother Kenneth released his debut single “Micro-Macro” — featuring Kendall on backing vocals.

“What spurs my music and activities is a desire to see a better world than the one we were born into,” Kenneth told Celebuzz. “I think we’re at a point in history where a new perspective could shed light on some of the less talked about issues facing the world and perhaps spur us to innovate a better future.”

Big Time Rush star Kendall Schmidt isn’t the only one in his family with talent.

On Tuesday, his older brother Kenneth Schmidt released his debut single “Micro-Macro,“ and Celebuzz has the exclusive scoop on the acoustic track — which features Kendall on backing vocals — from the singer himself.

Recorded a year before Kendall joined Big Time Rush and found boy band fame, “Micro-Macro” carries a strong social message, one that Kenneth says inspires his music and will be featured heavily on his upcoming new album. Listen to Kenneth’s message to fans above.

What did Kenneth have to say about younger bro Kendall?

Kenneth says he always knew his younger brother was going to be a star, revealing, “Kendall is a natural when it comes to music.”

But Kendall might not have gotten to Hollywood without the support — and inspiration — from his brothers. At 16, Kenneth learned to play the guitar, inspiring a young Kendall to do the same.

When the singer-songwriter asked his younger brother to sing backup on “Micro-Macro,” the energy between the Schmidt brothers was seamless. “If I remember right, he sang his part with only one take or two,” Kenneth recalls.

The elder Schmidt admits that when it comes to music, he draws inspiration from many different genres. “I’m inspired by many types of music,” he tells Celebuzz. “I literally have music from every genre on my computer.” And that includes everything from Big Time Rush (of course!) to Deadmau5 and the classical stylings of Yo-Yo Ma.
