Social intelligence engine Topsy Labs ranked some of the Academy Awards most tweeted about moments from fashion to Billy Crystal‘s hosting chops.

So, what had people tweeting up a storm?

According to their data, puled both from historical and sentiment analysis around keywords on Twitter by influence and relevance, when it came to Billy’s ninth hosting gig he got mostly a  positive reaction on Twitter, with more than two-thirds of positive posts. According to Topsy Labs’ data, the host got around 8,000 re-thanks via retweets, including a thank you from Justin Bieber!

According to more Topsy Labs’ stats, when it came to fashion, people were loving Jennifer Lopez‘s ultra sexy look. The Twittersphere also loved Emma Stone‘s red frock, as well as Angelina Jolie‘s sultry slitted gown.

The folks behind the Academy Awards recently released an official trailer for film’s biggest night. Starring Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel, the epic teaser has the two Transformers co-stars searching the world for this year’s Oscars host.

In November, Billy Crystal stepped up to take on hosting duties after Eddie Murphy resigned from the position. This will be Crystal’s eighth time hosting the ceremony.
