Details have emerged of the contents of an affidavit that a top Hollywood lawyer sent to Beverly Hills police investigating Houston’s Feb. 11 death. She was found submerged in the bathtub of her hotel suite, though the case was closed Apr. 12 when it was determined there was no foul play.

According to the sworn affidavit, a copy of which Celebuzz has seen, “Raffles used to pick Federal Express packages from the front desk or concierges at the various hotels they (Whitney and Bobby) stayed at.”

It added, “These packages would have completed air bill’s on them but where not shipped overnight but rather dropped off by “runners” through Bobby Brown’s contacts. These packages contained cocaine among other drugs.”

The document was first obtained by investigative journalist Jacky Jasper who publishes the urban site Diary of a Hollywood Street King and has been probing Van Exel.

The claims made in the affidavit, made under penalty of perjury, appear to contradict Brown’s statement on Wednesday to NBC’s TODAY show, in which he said he has been unfairly accused of contributing to his ex-wife’s drug problem and subsequent death.

“I didn’t get high before I met Whitney,” Brown told Matt Lauer, in the interview below.

“I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all.”

The R&B singer-songwriter said Houston was taking drugs “way, way before” their 16-year marriage began in July 1992.

“It’s just unexplainable — how one could, you know, (say that I) got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone,” Brown said.

The affidavit was written by a secret witness whose identity has not yet been revealed.

In another passage, the individual claimed Van Exel, a Dutch entertainment consultant who has gone to ground in the wake of Houston’s death, boasted about his ability to obtain crack cocaine for his friends. The document stated:

“Whenever there were fights between Bobby and Whitney he was the one that brokered peace. At learning that he used to be Whitney’s assistant, I jokingly asked: “So where do you get crack at 3 in the morning?” He immediately picked up his Blackberry, started to laugh loudly and asked me: “Which city?” He was actually ready to look through his Blackberry had I responded with a city. Although he continued to laugh, he proceeded to tell me: “I’m serious.”

Van Exel has not responded to multiple requests for comment from Celebuzz.

“I was hurt … because being off of narcotics for the last seven years … I didn’t know she was struggling with it still. But listen, it’s a hard fight. It’s a hard fight to maintain sobriety that way.”

Looking back on their time together, Bobby still misses her fiercely.

“Our relationship was great,” he said. “I had 14 beautiful, beautiful years with that woman.” And it’s not just his revisionist history, he insisted, “I can honestly say that — I love that woman with — with everything that I am. And I believe she loved me the same way.”

Houston and Brown, who says he’s now “very much clean and sober from narcotics,” were married for 14 years. Their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is now 19.

The late Whitney Houston‘s ex husband has had more than a few run-ins with the law.

He already has one DUI on his record, and Bobby was also arrested for battery in 2003 and again for a parole violation in 2004.

Brown later released an official statement to CNN on the matter. It read:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. … I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.”

But let’s be real. Not all celebrities are keeping the promises made at Promises in Malibu.  But how to tell the true converts from those who are decidedly due for a return visit in the near future? We’ve broken down some examples, signs if you will, that your celebrity rehab is not going well.

1.  You’ve taken over the microphone at Home Depot to serenade the shoppers

According to reports, Aerosmith front man, and recent checker-inner at prescription med drug rehab, Steven Tyler, took control of the public address microphone at a Palm Springs area Home Depot and began serenading the crowd with renditions of his classic songs.

Trying to keep the party going, Tyler proceeded to suck down helium to sing falsetto as he signed autographs for bewildered customers at the home improvement mega-store.

2.  Your new girlfriend is an under-aged pre-op transsexual lookalike of your ex

Apparently, Blake Fielder-Civil, the on-again, off-again, flame and favorite drug partner of singer, Amy Winehouse, really missing his boo during a recent breakup, found himself romantically involved with Mia McHugh, an Amy Winehouse impersonating pre-op transexual teenager he met through Facebook.

Recently just out of his latest round of rehab for drug addiction, Fielder-Civil denies that he was smitten with the near-teen-girl, but McHugh tells a romantic tale of forbidden passions, pleading love letters, and other stuff that we can’t really print here out of respect for our family audience.

3.  You’ve asked for a maid and private quarters at your sex addiction clinic

Rumor has all but turned into confirmed rumor of Tiger Woods having checked himself into more than one sexual addiction clinic, in order to save himself, his marriage maybe, and most definitely a several hundred million dollar divorce settlement (if you’re cynical about such things).

Also, while the therapeutic environment stresses group living and counseling, Tiger has specifically requested customized, private quarters and personalized maid and staff services during his stay.

Not a great sign when you enter rehab with a list of demands.

4.  You often find yourself being photographed with a goofy, blank stare on your face.

A veteran of numerous rehab stays, Lindsay Lohan perhaps has set the bar for “obvious signs that my rehab didn’t work as advertised” photo opportunities.

It was just a couple months ago, during Lindsay’s latest string of all-night party benders, that it appeared some friends and family were staging an intervention for LiLo, but she bolted just in time to save her righteous buzz.

5.  You married Bobby Brown

Love is definitely blind, but let’s face it, if you find yourself married to Bobby Brown, it’s not a good sign as to getting yourself straight.

Whitney Houston can attest to this fact, the legendary singer frequenting various rehab centers during the course of her marriage to Bobby, himself rotating the turnstile at the drug addiction clinics quite frequently.

In a new interview with Oprah set to air next week, Whitney Houston reveals that she spent 7 months in her pajamas getting high on crack cocaine.

Oprah admits that the interview will leave viewers with a better understanding of the woman that Houston became when she was addicted to drugs.

She says, “It will leave you gasping. She does not blame her ex-husband Bobby Brown and she takes full responsibility for her engagement in drugs. At one point she says, ‘I didn’t get out of my pajamas for seven months’. She talks about doing the drugs and sitting in the house and the two of them going, ‘What are we doing?’”

Houston’s battle with drugs began shortly after filming The Bodyguard in 1992 and did not end until recently.

Oprah believes that this is a story that will resonate deeply with the World, adding, “The thing most shocking to me is that Whitney tried to make herself smaller to fit in a marriage so the man could be bigger. How many women have done that? I deeply felt for her. She was trying to be the good wife. She really, truly loved him.”

The Associated Press reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for Brown in Massachusetts, stemming from a contempt complaint. It seems that Whitney Houston‘s ex failed to appear at a June 29 court hearing, so Norfolk Judge Christina Harms issued an order to have Brown arrested next time he steps into the Bay State.

Brown has reportedly fallen $45,000 behind in child-support payments that he’s required to pay for his two teenagers with former flame Kim Ward. Brown is supposed to shell out $5,000 per child every month.

This isn’t the first time that Brown has run afoul of the law over child-support issues. In 2007 he spent four days in jail for not making payments.

The Chicago Sun-Times recently claimed that Houston, 45, and Brown, 39, who have been divorced since April of 2007, were spotted canoodling in Georgia.

Whitney’s publicist calls the story a “complete fabrication.”

Houston and Brown, famous for their 14-year tumultuous marriage which was depicted in the Bravo reality series Being Bobby Brown, were married in 1992.

Houston is a two-time rehab veteran has been at the center of various rumors about drug addiction while experiencing a declining stardom.  She officially filed for a separation in October of 2006.

Brown has been arrested for various drug and alcohol charges over the years, and has faced court reprimands for unpaid child support to his other children.

The couple’s one child, daughter Bobbi Kristina, is 15 and lives in Houston’s custody.

Whitney seems to have pulled her life together, so why would she ever make THAT mistake again?

The Chicago Sun-Times claimes the divorced couple may be getting back together. And, certainly stranger things have happened in Whitney’s life.

The paper notes that “several Georgia sightings of Houston and Brown in recent days— clearly looking very romantic while dining together—seem to boost the reliability” of the musical couple’s reunion.

Also, “the divorced couple’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is eager for her parents to remarry.”

Houston, 45, married Bobby Brown, 39, in 1992. They were divorced in 2007, with Whitney gaining full custody of 15-year-old Bobbi Kristina.
