For the first time since 2009, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson weren’t nominated for MTV Movie Awards’ Best Kiss, meaning the on and offscreen couple have zero chances of winning in the category they’ve swept for the past four consecutive years.

The duo, who was previously nominated for the roles of Bella and Edward in the Twilight series, were beat out by Django Unchained‘s Kerry Washington and Jamie Foxx, Moonrise Kingdom‘s Kara Hayward and Jared Gilman, Silver Lining Playbook‘s Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, Ted‘s Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg and The Perks of Being a Wallflower‘s Emma Watson and Logan Lerman.

Well, for those naysayers who say Robsten shouldn’t be up for this year’s coveted golden popcorn statue, here are 10 reasons that’ll make them rethink this snub.

1. Even though they’re awkward sometimes, these two know how to make their chemistry sparkle.

2. Like, really sparkle.

3. They don’t like to take themselves seriously.

4. But Robsten can get really into it when it comes down to filming — like true professionals, you know.

5. Whether they’re in black and white…

6. Or sepia…

7. Or in full color…

8. Kristen and Rob know how to deliver.

9. So feel — and spread — the love, people.

10. You’re missing out!

The Twilight star will join Ben Affleck in the comedy caper Focus, for Warner Bros.

“I can confirm that [casting] rumor,” Stewart recently told The Huffington Post. “It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it. We start shooting in April.”

In the film, Stewart will play a rising con artist who finds herself romantically entangled with a more experienced con man, played by Affleck. Word ‘round the campfire is, according to Hollywood Life, that Stewart and Affleck also share some steamy love scenes as well.

Focus has yet to lock down a release date, but audiences can expect it in theaters sometime in 2014.

Will you see Kristen Stewart’s latest? Sound off in the comments below! And to tide you over, check out Celebuzz’ trailer for Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, Skyfall and Lincoln held onto their box office perches for the third week in a row. Read on for how the rest of the weekend movies fared.

The fifth and final Twilight film stayed atop the box office for the third week in a row, earning $17.4 million. That brings its total domestic tally to $254.6 million, just one million shy of the biggest Twilight film: New Moon.

Skyfall came in at a close second, with $17 million. The 23rd entry in the Bond franchise is not only the series’ highest-grossing film, its also the highest grossing spy movie ever in the U.S. Skyfall’s worldwide total currently stands at $869 million.

Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln continued to show great legs at the box office. The film, which came in at No. 3 for the weekend with $13.5 million, has grossed nearly $84 million domestic. The bio-pic could easily hit the $100 million mark during the upcoming holiday frame.

3D holdovers Rise of the Guardians and Life of Pi came in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Guardians found $13.5 million in its second week in release, while director Ang Lee’s Pi grossed $12 million.

Killing Them Softly was the sole wide release this past weekend, bombing at No. 7 with a dismal $7 million. The film, which garnered a rare “F” CinemaScore rating from moviegoers, marks one of Brad Pitt’s worst opening weekends ever.

On a positive note, Ben Affleck’s Oscar-hopeful Argo reached the $100 million milestone at the box office this past weekend. This marks Affleck’s highest-grossing film as a director.

Which movie did you see this weekend? Discuss in the comments below. And did Killing Them Softly deserve its box office fate? Watch the trailer on Celebuzz and decide for yourself!

How big? Read on…

The final film in the Twilight saga scored $43 million over the weekend, for a total of $64 million over the five-day holiday frame – enough to retain the number one spot for the second week in a row.

Breaking Dawn — Part 2, starring Kristen Stewart, has earned $200 million in the U.S. as of Monday, bringing its worldwide total to a franchise-high of $577 million.

In it’s third frame, Skyfall earned $34 million over the weekend, making the 23rd James Bond film the first 007 picture to hit $200 million in the U.S. Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall’s current worldwide box office rests at an impressive $790 million.

Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln continued to show great legs at the U.S. box office, securing the No. 3 spot with $25 million. Dreamworks’ Rise of the Guardians, considered to be a major player at the Thanksgiving box office, came in at No. 4, with a less-than-expected take of $24 million.

Meanwhile, 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of the novel Life of Pi exceeded expectations, scoring a fifth-place finish with $22 million in three days. The 3D film was expected to gross $20 million for the entire holiday period, a total it cleared in its first three days. Currently, Pi’s five-day total sits at $30.2 million.

MGM’s long-delayed remake of Red Dawn opened at No. 7, with a 3-day tally of $14 million ($22 million over five days).

Next weekend finds Brad Pitt’s crime thriller, Killing Me Softly, competing with Team Edward and James Bond for box office supremacy. Killing opens Friday, November 30.

The holiday traditionally gives Hollywood one of its biggest weekends of the year, and this year’s holiday season is no exception. Several movies are jockeying for your attention at the box office, and Celebuzz has your guide to which films are playing at a theatre near you.

Chris Hemsworth‘s Red Dawn remake and Dreamworks’ animated movie Rise of the Guardians lead the charge of new releases this week, alongside new movies from Brad Pitt and director Ang Lee.

With movies like Skyfall and Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 still doing strong business at the multiplex, it’s going to be Box Office Thunderdome as the new films compete with the holdovers. Thankfully there’s plenty of time over the break to catch a movie or three.

Check out our guide to ten noteworthy films Hollywood wants you to see this Thanksgiving. First, we roll out the new releases, along with their release dates, followed by recently-released films.

From James Bond to Team Edward, there’s something for everyone in theaters this week… Which movie will you see for the first or sixth time? Sound off in the comments below! And while you figure out which movie is worth your hard-earned allowance money, check out the trailer for the new release Red Dawn.

While critics have been divided about the series since it started, even some of its diehard fans were unhappy about the film’s controversial finale, which took things in a new and unexpected direction even as it brought the epic story to a sweeping close.

Celebuzz recruited two industry experts, Movieline Executive Editor Jen Yamato and MSN features contributor Don Kaye, to discuss that ending and debate the merits of departing from the source material as, alternately, a fan and a critic of the film.

WARNING: SPOILERS FOLLOW.

In Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the story comes to a climax with a momentous battle in which Cullens, Volturi and werewolves alike kill and are killed. But after the fighting culminates in the death of head Volturi Aro (Michael Sheen), the camera pulls back to reveal that the entire confrontation was merely a vision of a possible future, and everyone involved is still very much alive.

As a longtime fan of both the books and the movies, Yamato insisted that it was not just a welcome change, but a necessary one as well, giving audiences a visceral experience that didn’t violate their love for all of the characters.

Kaye, on the other hand, said that he was initially excited to see the series embrace some real dramatic stakes, but was ultimately disappointed to discover that the battle was meaningless.

Watch above as Yamato and Kaye duke it out over the fate of Breaking Dawn – Part 2’s finale. Below, watch Celebuzz’ video review of the film, which now in theaters everywhere.

It’s only been out for three days, but the final Twilight film installment is already making a big splash worldwide, raking in more than $340 million through Sunday, Deadline reports.

Breaking Dawn — Part 2’s opening weekend earnings is a new record for the film franchise, but stateside, its gross of $141 million was not enough to beat the numbers set by New Moon three years ago, at $142.8 million.

As expected, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s latest Twilight picture won the box office battle by a landslide.

Skyfall, which opened one week ago, grossed $41.5 million in its second weekend, bringing its North American total to $161.3 million. Meanwhile, a wider release of Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln earned the film $21 million this weekend, bringing its total to $22.4 million so far.

Based on the popular book series from Stephenie Meyer, the first four film adaptations have grossed more than $2.5 billion in theaters worldwide.

“It’s very strange and I still can’t get it in my head that I’m not doing another [movie],” Pattinson said at last week’s Breaking Dawn — Part 2 world premiere in Los Angeles.

“I haven’t really come to terms with it yet.”

But you’d be wrong.

In fact, Kristen Stewart has nothing on her plate now. After the theatrical release Friday of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, she has the much-anticipated version of Jack Kerouac’s classic Beat novel On the Road, in which she plays the sexually freewheeling Marylou, opening on December 21. But beyond that, as she joked earlier this week, she’s “desperate for a job.”

Stewart may yet do a sequel to her summer hit Snow White and the Huntsman, though it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to watch a second installment without thinking of Stewart’s scandalous affair with married director Rupert Sanders during the production of the first movie. So that’s far from a done deal, and beyond that, Stewart has said she isn’t currently mulling other offers.

At least her co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner both have projects in the pipeline.

Pattinson is due to star opposite Guy Pearce in The Rover, a futuristic Western directed by David Michôd, who made the hit Australian crime drama Animal Kingdom. Next up is the small-town noir Hold on to Me, co-starring Carey Mulligan. And he’s expected to step into Peter O’Toole’s keffiyeh to play T.E. Lawrence in director Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert.

Lautner will be seen next July in a rare comic role, as a frat boy in Adam Sandler’s sequel Grown Ups 2. After that, he’s attached to star in a thriller, tentatively titled Tracers, about a bike messenger who becomes involved in the world of the martial art parkour. Some of the producers of the Twlight films are behind that movie; guess they were on Team Jacob all along.

Even for audiences skeptical of the films, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is a surprisingly satisfying finale for the franchise, offering both a rousing, action-packed climax and a decidedly quieter, more romantic payoff. Gratifyingly, Rosenberg came up with that ending working directly with Meyer, who at one point wasn’t even sure if she wanted Breaking Dawn to be brought to the screen.

Rosenberg spoke with Celebuzz earlier this week via phone to talk about their collaboration, and to reveal the ideas and inspirations that helped her wrap up one of the most successful and famous film series in recent memory.

Celebuzz: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 really felt like it existed so much to satisfy the fans who had been waiting so long to see Bella and Edward get married and go on their honeymoon. What sort of challenge was there to really indulge that and then to know that you were really going to have to accelerate things to create this really epic finale?

Melissa Rosenberg: The second half was actually a great deal less challenging than the first because it is very languid and it didn’t have a lot of a story engine to it — it’s very much a character piece and a relationship piece. It was trying to bring conflict, to really dramatize conflict within the story of the character piece. Whereas in the second one there’s so much story and so much drive in that storytelling that it just really sort of naturally lends itself to a great, action-heavy, fun movie.

CB: I think that the twist, which I will not spoil, is so fantastic.

MR: Oh, I’m so glad. I’m so glad. When Stephanie and I came up with that we were at a steak dinner in Vancouver. Neither of us really knew how to end Four and she was debating whether or not she would even let the book be optioned, and we started talking about the end and it was one of those sort of great conversations where we just batted around some ideas and I’m not even sure who came up with it. But it was that moment of inspiration — we both kind of went, “Wait a minute. Is that good?” “I think so.” And we were both really afraid that audiences would feel sort of tricked by it as opposed to taken along for the ride.

CB: The thing about that finale is that it’s so intense, and the series has obviously been sort of delicate about the particulars of vampirism and werewolves. How careful did you have to be in conceiving that? Did you come in with a very specific idea of how much would be shown or how much could be followed through on without either compromising the rating or turning the film into like a straightforward horror movie?

MR: I learned this from Dexter — you don’t need to show buckets of blood in order to evoke that. But when I was writing it, it was no holds barred for me. I mean, I just sort of looked at it as, “Okay, what would be the most dramatic thing to happen?” And after that first thing, all hell breaks loose. So I just sort of started telling people and then it was certainly up to Bill and our stunt and effects people to make sure that it was not pushing the boundaries. But I still think it was pretty violent, wasn’t it?

CB: One of the things that this movie actually does really cleverly is it seems to address or embrace some of the things that have become iconic in the Twilight series, like Jacob going to Charlie and taking off his clothes, and things like that. How deliberate was all that and how careful did you have to be not to either make fun of either the people in the movie or what the fans respond to?

MR: That scene with Charlie and Jacob was probably one of my favorite scenes ever to write, and it was exactly that — that sort of play on the fact that he’s always got his clothes off. I loved that. It was probably the most fun moment in the movie for me to write, because the books are all told from Bella’s point of view, so as a screenwriter I get to actually write that scene and that’s a really fun territory to play in. And yeah, the Bella slouching and all that, I may actually have gone a little bit further with it the script. I think Bill pulled that back so much, but I was just having so much fun with it.

CB: How much did you orchestrate the evolution of these characters as each film came along? I know the idea is to think about them individually as films, but at a certain point when these films were made it became a foregone conclusion that they weren’t going to stop making these movies before the books were all adapted.

MR: Well, the one who has the largest part is Bella. The movies are all kind of driven by her pursuit of her own desires and her pursuit of her own self-realization. And the fifth movie is really the embodiment of that, and her final battle to seek to achieve her goals, which is to be a vampire, to be with Edward, to experience her power. It’s like who she is and what her power is and how to use it. I mean, it’s literally an empowerment movie, and that’s a very distinct arc throughout all five movies. I mean, she just gets stronger and more specific about what she wants as each one goes along.

CB: Ultimately, what is maybe the most meaningful thing that you feel like you’re taking away from this? Is it how you have come to understand these characters? Is it satisfying the fans? Is it just being a part of a cultural phenomenon?

MR: The thing that was the most significant for me was the creative collaboration with Stephanie, with our producers and with the studio Summit, which I’ve done six movies and they’re always fun and with Eric Fry, who is president of it. And with the directors, you know, particularly Bill Condon. It’s just like those kind of creative collaborations don’t happen all the time. The chemistry and the work style, it’s just a really rare thing in our business. So that’s what I’m going to miss the most.

“He has Asperger’s. They think he’s bipolar,” said Katrina Lammers-Nash of her nephew Blaec Lammers, who was arrested Friday.

Nash added that mental illness runs in their family.

“I’m bipolar too so I know what it’s like to be off meds. I know they diagnosed him. My brother William told our mother he was bipolar,” she told us.

Some four months after the tragic massacre at a Dark Knight Rises screening in Aurora, Colo., which killed 12 people, 20-year-old Lammers was charged with plotting a similar shooting and confessed his plan to authorities, adding that he had purchased 400 rounds of ammunition.

According to a probable cause statement by the Bolivar Police Department, they received information that Lammers had purchased two assault type rifles and he was off his medication. After his mother contacted authorities, her son admitted that he had purchased 400 rounds of ammunition and firearms at his local Walmart and had “intentions of shooting up the movie theater in Bolivar,” as stated in the release by Polk County authorities.

“Good,” Nash responded when told her sister-in-law had contacted police. “They’re good parents. [His father] is a hospital administrator.”

In the statement, Blaec admits that when he realized he might run out of ammunition at the movie theatre — where he bought tickets for a Sunday Breaking Dawn – Part 2 screening — he would shoot people at the local Walmart by “shooting people at random… and would break the glass where the ammunition is being stored…and keep on shooting until police arrived.” He also said he planned to turn himself him.

“That sounds like how bipolar people talk,” Nash said.

“I don’t know if it’s bipolar or Asberger’s that got him. But it sounds like bipolar.”

Lammers told police he had never shot a gun before, but bought the guns to go hunting.

“He’s not an avid hunter. He lives in the city,” his aunt said.

She also agreed with Lammers confession that he was “quiet” and “kind of a loner.”

“He was really unsocial with everyone. He wouldn’t say anything,” she said. “He visited my mother two years ago and he didn’t say a word the entire time.

“He said he was having a hard time with girls liking him. [But] when they liked him he didn’t understand. But they did like him because he’s handsome.”

“His sister was always outgoing and a cheerleader. Blaec was just different.

“He had a job stuffing Styrofoam into boxes and he was happy with that.”

Though Lammers’ uncle John told us ”he’s a good kid,” Nash thought differently.

When asked if Nash thought her nephew could be the mastermind behind such a plot, she responded, “I guess I do.”

“I had no idea it was so serious. I knew he had some problems,” Nash added. “My brother moved out of the house and went to Georgia to work. He recently moved back [to Missouri].”

“They were having such trouble with him [Blaec]. They couldn’t handle it.”

In Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Seth joins Jacob to form an unconventional alliance with the Cullens against the Volturi in a battle that’s been brewing since the original Twilight. And looking back at the franchise, the Stewart says that he was especially excited to work on the final film since it brings the journey full circle.

“The films really come together,” he told Celebuzz. “This one brings them all together and wraps up the whole storyline. I feel really proud of it – and when I was reading the script, I was like, ‘this is going to be great’.”

That said, Stewart admitted that he actually didn’t do a whole lot in Part 2, thanks to some CGI trickery that allowed his wolf counterpart to do his fighting for him.

“My character’s a wolf and I don’t have to do anything,” he said with a laugh. “I didn’t have to do any fighting luckily – actually unfortunately, because I would have really loved to do that. But when I was there filming, I would see some of the others, and it just looked so great.”

With the series wrapping up, Stewart said he’s trying to keep the experience in perspective, and appreciate it for what it is.

“The thing I think is most meaningful to me has just been to take it slow and enjoy things while they’re here,” he said. “To stop and think about things and keep it in your mind – because things only happen once.”

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens in theaters nationwide November 15, 2012.

Twilight‘s fifth installment, Breaking Dawn — Part 2, is potentially 007′s biggest competition as hit debuts in theaters Friday.

As the famous vampire franchise’s final film, it’s looking to draw hoards of Twi-hards to silver screens — with some fans even camping out on the streets three days before the movie’s premiere.

Starting off where Part 1 finished, the last Twilight film focuses more on Bella (Kristen Stewart) adjusting to life as a vampire and less on the series’ infamous feud between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

“This movie was the first movie that was not about a triangle,” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told Celebuzz.

“It’s really about an epic battle, an impending battle and gathering the troops,” she said.

“[Jacob] really is equal parts in that, actually, because his troops are the wolves and, you know, his job is as protector of Renesmee. So I was really glad to see there is a real sense of him throughout the movie.”

However, Breaking Dawn‘s fight for box office supremacy will not be an easy one as Skyfall shattered its own record when it debuted in theaters on Nov. 9.

Grossing over $518.6 million worldwide, Skyfall not only made the biggest opening ever for a Bond film, but set the stage for the biggest international gross in the franchise’s history as well.

Starring Daniel Craig and Judi Dench, the film revolves around the famous English spy tracking down a threat to the M16 — and destroying it at all costs.

But in Breaking Dawn – Part 2, his character Felix and the series as a whole comes full circle with an epic confrontation that determines the fate of Bella, Edward and everyone else around them.

With the legacy of the franchise looming large in the distance, Cudmore says that it’s actually the experience he’s had with its legion of fans that he anticipates will stay with him the most.

“I think one is just the ultimate positive attitude of all of the fans,” he tells Celebuzz. “All of the positive energy they’ve given us and what we’ve worked hard on and ultimately put on screen.”

Meanwhile, he observes that it’s probably a little premature to try and pinpoint the thing that is most meaningful to him about the experience of appearing in the Twilight series.

“It’s tough to look at it right now,” Cudmore says.

“In a few years it might be different – I might see more things that I’m taking out of it – but ultimately I think the whole series has created an avenue for me to walk through doors that weren’t necessarily open before. And as an actor, that’s all you want to do.”

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens in theaters nationwide November 15, 2012. Watch Celebuzz’s black carpet interview with none other than Robert Pattinson below.

This week, fans get to see Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final film in the Twilight series, which given the mixed reception of its predecessors seems destined for a Rotten Tomatoes rating that’s significantly less than 100% fresh.

Needless to say, our tickets are already bought for a primetime showing on Saturday night. But Celebuzz has rounded up a cross section of reviews and responses from critics across the country to give skeptical viewers some feedback as they’re making their ticket-buying decisions for the weekend.

Todd Gilchrist, Celebuzz:

After the plodding fan service of Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which turned 10 minutes of story into a two-hour tribute to Bella and Edward’s relationship, Part 2 moves (comparatively) briskly towards a sweeping climax that not only brings the franchise full circle but delivers a rousing adventure that should appeal even to non-fans.

Justin Chang, Variety:

With Bella reborn as a bloodthirsty, butt-kicking vampire mama, this second of two Bill Condon-directed installments clears a low bar to stand easily as the franchise’s most eventful and exciting entry.

Alison Willmore, Movieline:

As ludicrous and enjoyably over-the-top as Breaking Dawn — Part 2 can be, it’s not a terribly satisfactory capper to the Twilight franchise because it sets aside the strange undercurrents of desire and danger that defined the series and made it such a hair-tearing conundrum for feminists mystified by the appeal of its passive blank of a heroine.

Devin Faraci, Badass Digest:

In the end Twilight has defeated Bill Condon. Not that Condon didn’t put up a hell of a fight; his Breaking Dawn duology isn’t just the best of the films, they’re quite close to being actually good movies. They’re usually gorgeous, and Condon wisely pumps up the emotions to Sirk-ian levels, slipping right into high camp straight from the first frames of the film. Plus, he’s created a super brawl for the ages, one that’s as destructive, deadly and badass as any grim n’ gritty ‘Mature Readers’ superhero tussle. Heads get popped off like flowers from stems… again and again and again.

But he cannot, for all his skill and effort, overcome the essentially s**t nature of the source material. Stephenie Meyer’s imagination is so fallow, her characters so worthless, that nothing Condon does can escape the gravitational force of Twilight’s immense sh**tiness. He never stood a chance.

Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter:

Although the new film builds to a massive confrontation on a wintry field between more than two dozen vampires, backed up by their hirsute werewolf allies, and the more numerous and gifted Volturi, this remains the rare popular series without any great set pieces or even memorable scenes.

Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times:

I must admit if you’re going to bring the series to a close, Part 2 does it about as well as it can be done. It must be hard for Summit Entertainment to drop the final curtain on a series that has grossed billions, but it bit the bullet, and I imagine fans will be pleased.

Though the 22-year-old may be most know for her role as Bella Swan in the hit Twilight series, the actress is certainly not shy about breaking the mold and taking on risky — and sometimes racy — roles.

In 2012 alone, Stewart starred in two films outside the famous vampire franchise: Snow White and the Huntsman and On the Road. Pushing boundaries with the darker parts, Stewart proved to fans that she has the acting chops to be deemed a serious actress — even appearing in her first nude scene in the latter film.

“I loved the character, and I would have done craft services to be involved with that movie,” she said of Marylou, the carefree character she plays in the Jack Kerouac movie adaptation, during an interview with Backstage.

She said of stripping down for the camera, “I know it’s an odd thing to say, but it didn’t worry me. I really do love taking walls down.”

“I didn’t want to hide, especially as Marylou, she’s the last person who would hide.”

As for her role in Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the last installment of Twilight saga, Stewart revealed she’s totally fine with the Bella comparisons. In fact, she likes being associated with the most famous of her onscreen persona.

“Other people try to distance me from her, but not me,” she admitted. “I’ve said it a hundred times before: I love Bella.”
