The winner has been chosen on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice.

Contestants Cassadee Pope, Terry McDermott, and Nicholas David duked it out for the winning spot and the associated recording contract. Once again, iTunes played a big role in determining the winner of the reality show, with each download counting 10-fold.

Though a big winner was chosen, there were a ridiculous number of amazing performances on the two hour finale from the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and The Killers. In addition, the finalists were each able to perform with one of their idols: Cassadee with Avril Lavigne, Terry with Peter Frampton and Nicholas with Smokey Robinson.

But enough of the show, let’s get to it, the winner of Season 3 is….

Cassadee Pope.

It’s no surprise the pop rock singer won as she was charting with not one but two songs on the iTunes singles chart well into Monday night.  ”I’m feeling amazing, thank you for everyone who voted for me,” she told host Carson Daly after she was declared winner of The Voice. The singer then performed a beautiful rendition of her competition song, Faith Hill’s “Cry.” Pope’s win marks the second time a contestant on Blake Shelton’s team has taken the crown.

Here are our highlights from the episode:

1. The coaches’ attire. Cee Lo Green gets the gold star for best outfit on the finale. Those white spiked football pads were fantastic. Not to be shown up on her birthday, Christina Aguilera also rocked some chains and pearls with her bobbed hair. Meanwhile, we loved Adam Levine’s bowtie… though didn’t he kind of look like a waiter?!

2. “Adam Levine is so much more than a pretty face.” The profile of the multitalented frontman of Maroon 5 was adorable and hilarious. Our favorite comments on Levine from the other coaches: Cee Lo – “I’ve seen this man play the spoons”; Blake – “He’s just incredibly talented and it drives me crazy”; And Christina – “Adam is kind of like that guy in Mary Poppins.”

3. The Heartbreakers take the stage. The male contestants who are easy on the eyes – MacKenzie Bourg, Dez Duron, Cody Belew, Julio Cesar Castillo, and Diego Val – performed Fountains of Wayne’s “Stacey’s Mom.” The set, the singing – it was adorable and ridiculous.

4. Blake Shelton is a big flirt. I’m loving these profiles of the coaches and Blake’s was hilarious. The country superstar “loves everybody” and says he’s very secure in himself. Count on Blake to always tell someone if they’re attractive and to be the funniest coach on the show.

5. Season 4 preview. This preview for next season’s The Voice featuring new coaches Shakira and Usher was hilarious and fantastic. “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” and Carson Daly in the next car over – I can’t wait to see what next season brings us.

6. Kelly Clarkson and Team Blake. I’m not ashamed to admit I love Clarkson. It was exciting to watch Cassadee perform with one of her idols. You could see how happy it made her to share the stage with Clarkson. And while Terry sounded a little under the weather during the performance, I enjoyed his part on “Catch My Breath” as well.

7. “Well, Scoobs, obviously.” Xtina’s declaration of love for Scooby Doo and her impression of the cartoon character during her birthday message was hilarious. Also, NBC gets extra points for adding the Muppets. Muppets make everything amazing.

8. Santa Cee Lo and product placement. Each of the finalists were rewarded with a Kia car. The finalists were understandably excited by their prizes, but this whole segment was just insane and so funny. I’m going to really miss Cee Lo on the next season.

9. Nicholas brings back Amanda, Dez and Trevin for “End Of The Road.” This song took me all the way back to the sixth grade. I absolutely adore Boyz II Men and this song. Nicholas brought back the perfect contestants to bring the song to life and sounded fantastic during the performance.

10. Cee Lo’s clip package. Of course, we had to put Cee Lo’s clip package on the highlights. Adam referred to him as a combination between “Buddha and Issac Hayes.” Though our favorite part of the package was Cee Lo telling Christina he is also “a genie in a bottle,” but “a three liter bottle.”

The Top 6 on NBC’s The Voice stepped up their game, ten-fold, on Monday’s performance show. With the stakes getting higher each week, the contestant belted out two songs on the epic two-hour showdown, with one song chosen by their coach and one by themselves.

It’s difficult to say who could be headed home on Tuesday as almost all of the contestants had at least one really strong performance. While frontrunner Cassadee Pope kept it status quo performing her favorite song ever (“With You” by Avril Lavigne) and a Rascal Flatts jam very well. Then 18-year-old Trevin Hunte almost brought the house down with his powerful rendition of “And I’m Telling You.”

Celebuzz was in the audience for the amazing episode, witnessing each spectacular set and taking note of all that went down when the cameras were off. Here are 8 things you didn’t see on TV:

1. Blake loves his fans. With Blake Shelton’s Christmas album having recently hit stores, one lucky fan decided to bring the disc with her to the show in the odd chance she might be get an autograph. Lucky for her, the audience host noticed and Shelton ended up signing the disc.

2. Commercial breaks are productive. There are a number of things that go down during the commercials – such as set changes, makeup touch ups, etc. — but sometimes there is even filming. During one break on Monday, Christina Aguilera actually filmed a promo for a future episode. The singer was spot on with her line, needing only one take to get it right.

3. Cee Lo was also in the giving spirit. Blake wasn’t the only one doing things for the crowd. At one point, Cee Lo Green actually chucked some of his papers to some fans in the pit section. While I’m not entirely sure what they were, they were plenty happy to have the papers in their possession. The Gnarles Barkley frontman was also dancing during breaks.

4. “This is The Voice.” You know the tagline the show uses everytime it comes back from a commercial? Host Carson Daly can be seen mouthing the words to it almost every time before he’s on camera. Occasionally, Daly will even throw some hand motions in.

5. Xtina is a social butterfly. It was a close call for Aguilera when the show came back from its last two commercial breaks as the singer almost didn’t make it to her seat before Daly began speaking. The first time, she headed off stage but during the second break she was engaging with fans in the pit.She was also seen deep in conversation with fellow judge Shelton.

6. When the audience host says cheer, you cheer. If not, you may get called out in front of everyone. On Monday, an insurance broker named Matt was asked to do a dance for everyone to copy after he was found not clapping during warm ups. His seductive dance afterwards was hilarious.

7. Tuesday’s special performance by Ne-Yo will be pretaped and it MAY include one of the contenders. Though I didn’t actually get to see Ne-Yo’s performance, the press was made aware that they were pre-taping. We were also told that Team Adam Singer Amanda Brown would be late to the pressroom since she was rehearsing. Put two and two together and I think there is something very special in store for Tuesday’s Elimination episode.

8. Adam Levine. I know, we had no behind-the-scenes-scoop on Levine this week, but I can tell you he looked great in that shirt. Then again, I guess you saw that on TV.

The Top 12 brought it on NBC’s The Voice Monday night and left everything out there on the stage for America to see.

The scene was epic and the fans were excited as the Top 12 from Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera’s teams pulled off some spectacular performances overall.

While frontrunners Amanda Brown and Trevin Hunte both pulled off good sets, it was another contestant from Team Adam – Bryan Keith – who appeared to have the breakout performance of the evening.

But that’s not all Celebuzz saw when we were live in the studio audience for the show. We’ve got some behind-the-scenes dish for you on what happened when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Here are eight things you didn’t see on TV:

1. Fans have priorities. Fans show up in droves thanks to 1iota for The Voice and other reality competition shows, often giving hours of their day away just for the chance to watch the performances up close and in person. Or even better, take a spot in the pit section and possibly touch a contestant or coach. But with all this time dedicated to being a fan, how do they get things done? Multitasking, of course. We spotted a few fans in the pit actually studying, or so it appeared, prior to show time.

2. Those set changes aren’t easy. Between every performance on The Voice, there are at least 40 people on stage changing out the stairs, mics, and the like as well as cleaning the stage. They are the oil that makes this machine run smoothly. Without them, nothing on this show would be possible, which brings us to…

3. The Coaches’ Glam Squads. These folks are probably the second most important group of people on this show. We know, we know, it takes a lot of people to run a live show, especially The Voice, but these hair and makeup teams are hard at work and get out there every commercial break to touch up their clients – making sure every bit of Adam’s hair is spiked perfectly, Christina’s lips look just right and Cee Lo’s head isn’t too shiny. It’s a hard job, but someone has to do it.

4. The warm-up guy needs some new jokes. We know the guy in charge of keeping the audience at max volume and energy has a hard job, but he seriously needs to get some new material. I don’t think I can handle one more ‘white people can’t dance’ jab. Funny the first time, but not the 15th.

5. Adam can’t sit still. The Maroon 5 front man got up from his chair almost every commercial break, whether it was to talk to one of the other coaches or leave the stage. One particularly cute moment had Levine and host Carson Daly walking off the stage in a sort of oompa-loompa type of arm hold. Very adorable.

6. The coaches are hot… in more ways than one. Those lights which shine down on the coaches must be hot, because every coach except Adam had members of their glam squads actually fanning them during commercial breaks.

7. Beat the clock. You can’t see it on TV, but from where we were sitting behind the coaches you could see a tiny little screen in front of them telling the coaches how much time they have to give their feedback. Often it’s 20 to 30 seconds with more time allotted for the coach whose team the performer is from. However, none of the coaches seem to make their comments in the specified time. The biggest offender? That would be Ms. Xtina.

8. Christina wants everyone to own Lotus. During one of the last commercial breaks of the show, the singer was seen handing Levine, his friend and Shelton copies of her new disc, Lotus, which drops on Tuesday.

The Top 12 are taking the stage on NBC’s The Voice Monday Night as the live playoffs continue.

The contestants from Team Adam, Team Blake, Team Cee Lo, and Team Christina will be duking it out to gain America’s votes as they perform. Last Thursday, the field of 20 finalists were knocked down to 12 as America voted to save two singers from each team and the coaches each enacted their one save to make up the Top 12.

The talent on this cycle of NBC’s The Voice is phenomenal and as the Top 20 was cut down to 12 on Thursday, some exceptional singers moved on to the next round of competition.

Trevin Hunte has no doubt been one of the frontrunners in the competition since the very beginning. So what’s his plan as he makes his way through the live playoffs?

“My strategy is just to do what I’ve been doing in the past. Stepping on the stage and performing like it’s my last time,” the 18-year-old told Celebuzz at a celebration for the Top 12 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. “I just want to leave my heart on the stage so my fans can see it and the people who are watching can see the emotion and the passion I have.”

Going into Thursday’s elimination, the Team Cee Lo singer says he was feeling confident about making it through but began to get nervous when some of his closest friends in the competition on the other teams were sent home.

Though the feedback after Hunte’s performance on Wednesday was overwhelmingly positive and coupled with a standing ovation, Christina Aguilera had mentioned she’d like to see Cee Lo get into the young singer’s untapped potential and push him harder.

And Hunte tells us he is ready for that.

“I have the best coach in the world. I have the best coach I could ever ask for, so I’m definitely ready for a push. I’m ready to take a challenge,” he reveals.

Adding, “I don’t want people to put in a box to sing a strong ballad. I want to be able to sing country. I want to be able to also do some pop. I know people may not gravitate to that but I want to show people that I can be versatile.”

As for that infamous eighth grade teacher who told him he wasn’t good enough, the Queens, N.Y. native says he’s above that now.

“I feel like I’ve proven myself not only to her but I’ve proven myself to America and to all those people that judge me,” says Hunte. “I don’t have time for that. I actually want to thank her for pushing me to audition for the show. It’s the best feeling in the world.”

The Voice live playoffs continue Monday and Tuesday at 8 PM ET/ tape delayed PT on NBC.

The time has come on NBC’s The Voice and the first live eliminations are set to take place on Thursday.

Our Top 20 contestants will be whittled down to 12 as eight singers will be sent home by America and the coaches. Two contestants from each team will be saved based on viewer votes with a third saved by the coaches. Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green are sure to have tough decisions to make as we find out who will go home and who will continue on with a chance to become The Voice.

It’s not a surprise that the last performance of the night on NBC’s The Voice prior to Thursday’s eliminations belonged to Team Cee Lo contender Trevin Hunte.

Ever since his epic battle round with Amanda Brown, these two have been the legitimate frontrunners in the competition. Now with her show-stealing performance on Monday Night and Trevin’s chill-inducing, moving performance of Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” on Wednesday, I believe this status has been clearly cemented.

Not only did Hunte receive the only standing ovation of the night on Wednesday, but he actually left his coach speechless. Cee Lo Green wasn’t the only one fumbling his thoughts and then gushing over the 18-year-old from Queens though.

Blake Shelton took the words out of my mouth when he told Hunte, “Gosh dang it every time you get on the stage you move me, you have everything it takes to win The Voice.” Christina Aguilera then corroborated Shelton’s sentiments and added astonishingly, “I feel like you haven’t even really tapped into what you can do yet.”

If America doesn’t vote him through to the Top 12, I am calling for a recount. Also, can we PLEASE invite that eithh grade teacher who told him he would never amount to anything to a live show? I’m telling you, NBC, it would be great television.

Team Christina singer and fellow teen Sylvia Yacoub also impressed me during her live performance. Her fire – which Christina loves so much – had previously turned me off during the battle and knockout rounds but her intimate and vulnerable performance of Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” brought me back. She really killed it with her softer emotional side, and I’m hoping we see more of that if she continues on.

Cody Belew also went the intimate route at Cee Lo’s suggestion with “One More Try” by George Michael. It was a wonderful song choice and performance. We also found out from Blake that not only is he one of his favorites on the whole show but also one of Miranda Lambert’s (his wife).

Another highlight of the night was Adam Levine’s critique of Nicholas David’s performance of Barry White’s “You’re the first, My Last, My Everything” as well as the performance itself.

“Barry White makes baby-making music,” said the Maroon 5 frontman, “and I want to make a baby now… You did a great job.”

I couldn’t have said it better, Adam.

Chicagoan De’Borah took the stage like a pro. She worked it and sounded fantastic singing “Who Knew” by Pink. Adam told her, “A voice is only as good as the soul that is pushing your voice and you have all of that,” while her coach Christina called her “the real deal.” The beaming smile on her face as the coaches heaped praise upon her made me ridiculously happy. If she doesn’t make it through to the Top 12, which would be surprising, it would destroy me.

The other contenders who took the stage Wednesday all gave mostly solid performances, if not safe ones. It was refreshing to see the coaches give some honest critiques to those who weren’t particularly outstanding as it felt like they were easy on some of the singers on Monday.

Monday’s episode of NBC’s The Voice featuring performances from the singers on Team Adam and Blake has officially kicked off the live playoffs.

The 10 contestants vying for their spots in the competition all did their best to impress their most important critics… you. America is now responsible for their fate as you cast your votes for your two favorite contestants and send them on to week two of the live shows. (The team coach will pick the third advancing contestant during Thursday’s elimination show.)

And it seems NBC definitely knew what they were doing when they put Team Adam singer Amanda Brown in the closing spot for Monday’s episode, as she effectively stole the spotlight from the other nine singers performing on the stage when she belted Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”

“I think if it wasn’t already evident, this was by far the actual best performance of the night,” said her coach Adam Levine.

Brown, was one of only two contestants to raise the judges to the feet on the first night of live performances.

The other was a bit of a surprise, at least to me. Team Blake singer Julio Cesar Castillo put on a rousing performance of the Mariachi song, “El Rey.” While he sounded great and was definitely in his element, I’m not sure choosing an all Spanish song was the best choice for his live debut but as Blake said, “He had to find a way to connect emotionally and he did.” We will see if that’s enough to continue.

Team Adam hopefuls Bryan Keith and Joselyn Rivera also gave great performances when they graced the stage. Though there were some moments in Rivera’s rendition of “Give Your Heart A Break” that were praised by the coaches that left me wondering  if maybe she sounded better in studio than on TV.

I also enjoyed Melanie Martinez’ jazzy version of Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack.” It was obvious however that Christina Aguilera did not as she fought to not say anything too negative to the teenager.

As for Blake’s team, Terry McDermott again surprised me with his rocking performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” As expected all the coaches loved it as well and I completely agreed with Christina’s critique that his voice is “just so easy on the ears.”

Blake Shelton went so far as to say, “I want America to know that when you start voting tonight, that when God was passing out the ability to rock, he gave Terry just a little bit more.”

Country gal Liz Davis did Blake proud with her performance making us think she will be sticking around into next week and possibly beyond. Cassadee Pope and Michaela Page also did well in their respective performances.

Another higlight of the night included Cee Lo Green’s ridiculous outfit, which prompted Levine to tell him, “You look like the lovechild of Rick James and Prince.” There was also a fun group performance prior to the singers’ individual acts.

The Voice’s live playoffs will continue Wednesday at 8 PM EST/ tape delayed PST. The first elimination in these rounds will take place on Thursday at 8 PM EST/ tape delayed PST.

With the live playoffs set to begin Monday on NBC’s The Voice, the top 20 contestants each have their own strategies to stand out from the pact as they compete for a chance at a recording contract.

“I think I’m going to go in with a fresh style,” Team Christina member De’Borah told reporters in a press call. “A little blues, new ways to perform, work the stage as usual.”

Her teammate and competitior Sylvia Yacoub also said she is looking to change it up as The Voice switches to a audience-voted, live show format.

“I want to add variety to my songs,” she said. “I want to bring in, you know, different types of songs and different sides of me.”

Meanwhile, Team Blake hopeful Cassadee Pope mentioned that she wants to focus on songs which cater to “a kind of genre I do as a solo artist and as a writer” during the live playoffs.

She continued, “I think I’ve kind of taken a few songs that I’ve done so far and made them into what I like to do, which is pop rock. And I want to try and pick a song that is already in that genre so I can really convey what kind of artist I am.”

As The Voice kicks off the live shows this week, NBC will air the popular singing competition show on three nights. Monday and Wednesday’s broadcast will feature performances by the Top 20 from Team Adam, Team Blake, Team Cee Lo, and Team Christina, while Thursday’s show will feature the first elimination as two members from each team will be sent home.

The two artists who receive the most votes on each team will be saved and each coach will have to make the difficult decision of choosing one more artist from the remaining three to move forward in the competition.

Devyn Deloera, who wowed the coaches with a Whitney Houston song last week, says that Christina Aguilera’s advice has helped keep her calm.

“A lot of the advice that she’s given me is to channel my nerves into my performance to make it strong, because I get very nervous going out on that stage,” she said.

All of the coaches, including Aguilera and Cee Lo Green have also hit home how important it is for the contestants to remain true to themselves.

Nicoholas David, who is perhaps one of the most unique singers in the competition, said Green told him, “when you’re you, you can’t like, coach that.”

The live playoffs of The Voice begin Monday and continue on Wednesday and Thursday at 8 PM EST/tape delayed PST on NBC.

Rihanna had a very good Halloween, thanks to a new honor bestowed on the “Diamonds” singer.

On Wednesday night, the 24-year-old superstar was crowned West Hollywood’s Queen of the Carnival at the Greystone Manor Supperclub. The bash was attended by a slew of famous friends including Rihanna’s ex Chris Brown, who donned a head-turning costume.

In other Halloween celebrations, Cee Lo Green was spotted hanging out with a couple of superheroes on Hollywood Boulevard. While The Voice mentor did not put on a costume, it looks like he had a few meaningful conversations with Spiderman as the Green Lantern looked on.

Continuing the Halloween spirit, Gwen Stefani was spotted with her No Doubt bandmates in London. Rocking a pair of leather pants and a pink jacket, the singer had some Halloween fun with fake blood makeup on her neck and head.

Elsewhere in London, Kate Moss looked chic in a leopard print jacket and yellow clutch while running errands on Thursday.

With Tuesday’s Knockout round completed, the teams on NBC’s The Voice are now set for live competition.

The second night of this round featured yet again some extraordinarily tough decisions for Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera as the singers from their teams chose some lofty songs including three contenders taking own the coaches’ very own songs.

Most contenders came out swinging leaving their hearts on the line as their coaches made their final decisions on who should stay and who should. There were many highlights of the night but here are my top five moments for Team Blake and Team Christina.

Whitney Houston revisited. When Terisa Griffin took on the Houston classic “Saving All My Love For You” last night, I had to applaud her gusto to go big and take on such an iconic figure. On Tuesday, Devyn DeLorea did the same choosing “I Have Nothing” for her performance in the Knockout round. The fact that she even chose this song (which I admit is one of my favorites of Houston’s) gave her a couple of extra points over her competitor Laura Vivas. Then she went As DeLorea has now shown she can take on the big voices of Houston and Aguilera (in the blinds), I think she is definitely one to watch for during the live rounds.

De’borah. Ok, i’ll admit it, De’borah is one of my favorites. Her whole performance of The Fray’s “I Found You” was full of so much emotion. It was wonderful. You can literally see and hear everything she feels when she performs and it’s such a pleasure to watch. While I enjoyed Chevonne’s performance of “Dancing With Myself” I’m glad to see De’borah win this one. I also enjoyed just how gracious and awestruck she was after she was chosen to advance.

The girls take on Christina. More than one singer took on the extremely hard task of singing songs by Ms. Aguilera herself and sounded fantastic doing so. Team Christina hopeful Sylvia Yacoub went with the fast-paced and unbelievably tough to sing, “Fighter.” As she said to Christina during rehearsals, “Girl, how do you breathe in this song?” But somehow she managed to pull it off and make it sound amazing. With her ambitious song choice, she beat Aquile (who performed Bruno Mars’ “Grenade”).

MarissaAnn, the former Team Christina contender who was stolen by Blake in the battle rounds also picked a tune by the Your Body singer, “Lady Marmalade.” While she was knocked out by Julio Cesar Castillo’s take on Justin Bieber’s “Somebody to Love”, I thought she showed a ton of spunk and promise in her performance. Given that MarissaAnn is only 15, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her on another season or later in the future in the music industry.

“Baby, I’m amazed.” One of the biggest surprises of Tuesday’s Knockout round, for me at least was Terry McDermott. While I knew he obviously had talent, I didn’t really see what the fuss was about. Or perhaps I just hadn’t made a connection with him. However, his performance of “Baby, I’m Amazed” was absolutely fantastic. In fact it may have even been one of my favorite moments of the whole night.

“I’m at a payphone.” Christina wasn’t the only coach who had a contender sing her song Tuesday. Team Blake hopeful Cassadee Pope took on one of Maroon 5’s most recent hits, “Payphone.” While Blake was concerned about whether the changes she made to the tune would pay off, she showed they did. As Adam Levine said, “when you impress the person whose song it is,” you’re usually going to win. It was a tough battle as Blake needed to choose her over music teacher Suzanna Choffel who went laid back with Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved.” It was a great performance but like Blake said, it may not have been the best for this competition. And With that Cassadee was the final performer to advance to the live competition.

If there is one thing I learned from Monday night’s inaugural Knockout round on NBC’s The Voice, it’s that I do not envy the judges.

The Knockouts are essentially an impossible choice as they pit two singers from each team together on songs of their choice. The catch is the singers don’t know who they’ll be singing against until moments before their performance. Monday’s episode whittled down Team Adam and Team Cee Lo to five singers each for next week’s live shows.

As the two coaches cut their teams in half, they faced some incredibly tough decisions between some enormously talented performers. Both coaches seemed to have a strategy for their team: Adam Levine appeared to pick the best of two similar singers to advance to the live round, and Cee Lo Green chose the singer who he felt made the best connection with him and the audience.

Though all the head-to-head competitions were captivating on the episode, there were certain performers and battles, for lack of a better word, that really caught my eye.

Here’s my Top 5 moments from the first night of the Knockouts:

1. Joselyn Rivera’s performance of “Love On Top” The 17-year-old Floridian took on a huge task singing this Beyonce song and knocked it out of the park. She sang against Kayla Nevarez who gave a great performance of “Shark In The Water.” However, Adam was impressed by Rivera’s song choice, telling her, “I can’t think of a more ambitious song to choose and you didn’t have to choose that.” Before choosing Rivera to advance to the live rounds, he called both singers, ”two of the best singers in the country.”

2. Amanda Brown vs. Michelle Brooks-Thompson The battle rounds gave us an unbelievably epic bout between Amanda and Team Cee Lo member Trevin Hunte. Their performance of Mariah Carey’s “Vision Of Love” is still giving me chills and has more views than any other battle on the show’s official YouTube page. Now, it was Amanda’s turn to sing against Massachusetts’s native Michelle. Again it was an extraordinarily difficult decision to make between the two ladies. While Michelle’s performance of Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight” left Christina Aguilera slack-jawed, Adam went with Amanda as he said his decision really came down to “who can I be a better coach for? Who can I push further than the other?”

3. Loren Allred surprises the coaches Loren was a sight and sound to behold as she wailed on Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good.” Adam and Christina even gave her a standing ovation at the end of her performance. Perhaps the best commentary for her performance and possibly the evening was when Christina told her, “I was expecting it to be a murder scene and it wasn’t …Where’s my steal button?” While she did send one of my early favorites, Nicole Nelson, home she totally deserved it.

4. Daniel Rosa’s speech Second time Voice contestant Rosa made it two rounds further than his previous stint on the show on Monday’s episode. Far more confident than he was at the start of this process, it seemed his nerves may have still have got the best of him as he sang Taylor Swift‘s “Back To December.” Rosa competed against MacKenzie Bourg who gave us an interesting and unique performance of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” While many are sad to see Rosa go, he was utterly gracious in defeat telling the audience, “Don’t feel sad for me. I got the greatest opportunity.”

5.Trevin Hunte vs. Terisa Griffin. From start to finish, this bout was an emotional tear-jerker. From the very beginning you could see that the two contenders wanted to sing against anyone except each other. Hunte sang “Against All Odds” and dedicated the performance to his eighth grade teacher who said he wouldn’t amount to anything. Terisa chose the Whitney Houston song, “Saving All My Love For You,” and surprisingly did it justice. Both singers appeared visibly nervous at one point or another when realizing one of them had to go home. In the end, after Cee Lo wiped away tears from their performance, he chose Trevin as the winner which made both contestants gleefully happy. Terisa was unbelievable happy for her friend and said that this was sweet as she “had the opportunity to mentor and lose to my baby Trevin.” I’d be surprised if anyone had a dry eye watching these two as I definitely did not.

Grayson Global has a new investor on ABC’s soapy Revenge. 24 alum Joaquim de Almedia will play Salvador Grobet, a man from Central America who is a wealthy investor in Edward Grayson (William Devane) and Conrad Grayson’s (Henry Czerny) company. [THR]

NBC’s Chicago Fire was up 20% in the ratings Wednesday night as compared to last week with 6.3 million viewers. The bump was most likely thanks to its lead in of the 300th episode of Law & Order: SVU. Though the firefighter show made some improvement, it was beat by CBS’ CSI which won the 10 o’clock hour with 9.8 million viewers. Overall Game 1 of the World Series won the night but accurate ratings aren’t yet available. [EW]

After it’s bump in the ratings last night, NBC has given freshman drama Chicago Fire an order for five more scripts. The peacock network gave the same order to the Jimmy Fallon produced Guys With Kids earlier this week. [Deadline]

The Voice coach Cee Lo Green has enlisted the help of the Muppets and Rod Stewart for his holiday special. Cee Lo’s Magic Moment will also feature 19 former Voice contestants including Jamar Rogers and Niki Dawson. The holiday special will air on Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 PM on the TV Guide Network. Joss Whedon’s ABC pilot — Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. – is shaping up quite nicely. Actress Ming-Na, who is most well known for role on ER, is joining the pilot as Agent Melinda May. The character is an ace pilot who is slightly damaged from her past fighting as a soldier. She joins Clark Gregg on the show, who is reprising his role as Agent Coulson from Iron Man, Thor, and the Avengers. [Deadline]

The men and woman of TLC’s Breaking Amish are coming back together for a reunion. The special, hosted by NBC’s Michelle Beadle, will allow them to set the record straight by tackling the rumors regarding the authenticity of their backgrounds and confront each other about what really happened in New York. The two–part reunion special will air Sunday, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 at 10 PM. [TLC]

The last three bouts in the battle rounds of NBC’s The Voice were definite showstoppers.

There were only six performers and one steal left to use at the beginning of Tuesday’s episode and each performance delivered the goods we wanted to see. To no one’s surprise, NBC saved the best battle and  Christina Aguilera’s steal, the last of the coach’s steals, for the twelfth round.

Topping off the night was an intense rendition of the David Guetta/Sia’s club jam, “Titanium,” as performed by Team Cee Lo contenders, Avery Wilson and Chevonne. 

Cee Lo Green billed the bout as youth (Avery) vs. experience (Chevonne) and told the singers he paired them because of the dramatic quality in their voices. Though Avery was visibly taken back by Chevonne’s talent, he showed throughout rehearsals he was ready to take her on. During the performance, Avery was almost pitch perfect and Chevonne brought a killer stage presence. Both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton said that while the performance was great by both singers, Avery should win, hands down. Cee Lo agreed as he felt that Chevonne’s stage presence took away from her vocals and chose Avery as the winner of the final battle.

Christina, however, admitted she was very surprised by Chevonne and loved her presence. She pressed her button to steal the Lady Gaga backup singer moments after Cee Lo made his decision.

Team Blake’s battle pitted two teenagers against each other: 16-year-old Michaela Paige and 15-year-old Kelly Crapa. The duo dueled on Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” which truthfully I couldn’t stop thinking about as the Sunday Night Football theme song. During rehearsals, mentor Michael Buble had the comment of the night when he said, “Michaela is a 60-year-old black woman trapped in a blond punk girl.” This performance was probably the most entertaining to watch all night as both girls really got into it and took Blake’s advice about using their body language to heart.

Christina even said, “I thought a fist-fight was going to break out.” While Kelly added some country twang to her performance and sounded fantastic, Blake went with Michaela in the end, saying that her year edge on Kelly made the difference.

Former Disney star Jordan Pruitt went up against Adriana Louise in Team Christina’s last battle. A bout built of “classic born to do it pop stars” had the two singers performing Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold.” Both girls brought it throughout the performance. Cee Lo, in particular, enjoyed the fight both singers had. He told the singing hopefuls, “I really enjoyed that you were both competitive vocalists. It was like the Olympics up there.”

In the end, Adriana Louise beat out Pruitt who was visibly upset at her loss. If Blake had a steal left, Jordan may have been saved but as he did not, the aspiring pop star was sent home.

The knockout rounds of The Voice begin next week in two back-to-back two hour episodes on Monday and Tuesday at 8 PM on NBC.

NBC’s The Voice is going big for election week as it kicks off the live show portion of the singing competition show.

Starting Monday, Nov. 5, NBC is giving viewers the power to vote for which contestants will make it into the top 12 as they broadcast a three-night event on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Voice has been a ratings juggernaut for the network as the no. 1 unscripted show on-air in both total viewers and the ad-coveted demographic of 18 to 49-year-olds. It has also been averaging 13.9 million viewers overall.

This week, the singing competition will be entering the final battle rounds as singing hopefuls go head-to-head in an effort to continue to the new “Knockout” rounds.

The “Knockout” rounds — which will be broadcast in two back-to-back two-hour episodes on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 — will feature the remaining artists once again paired against each other. Only this time, the artist will only find out who they are being compared against moments before performing.

Artists will be allowed to choose their own song and their coach – Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green – will then choose who continues on to the live shows.

The battle rounds of The Voice continue Monday and Tuesday night at 8 PM.

It was another night of great performances as the battle rounds continued Monday on NBC’s The Voice.

Coaches Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera had it particularly tough as their contenders sang for their lives and left everything out there on the stage. As is tradition (or so it seems), the big steal of the night was saved for the last performance. Sylvia Yacoub and Joselyn Rivera both wailed wonderfully in their performance of Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had.”

After a long deliberation, Christina chose Yacoub for her team saying she related to “the fire” and the passion she had inside her for performing. Moments later both Adam Levine and Blake pushed their buttons to enact the steal for Joselyn.

Whose team did the 17-year-old pick? 

Before making her decision, Joselyn asked both coaches what they saw in her performance tonight. Just asking this question gave her some points in my book as she really wanted to make an informed decision. She chose Team Adam and definitely proved she’s one to watch as the next round begins. With her choice, Adam is officially out of steals.

I would like to put my prediction out now, which I know I might regret later, but I’ll just say it… I think Team Adam is going to win this season. All of the singers in this competition are amazingly talented, but the singers he already has in his ranks plus the powerhouses of his steals, Amanda Brown and Joselyn, are simply outstanding. We haven’t even heard some of the standouts he gained in blind auditions yet such as Nicole Nelson and Brandon Mahone. His team is stacked.

What other singers were impressive on Monday night?

Terisa Griffin was obviously very impressive during her performance against Julio Cesar Castillo to Cee Lo Green as he swooped in and picked her up for his team after she lost her battle.

I enjoyed her too. She’s fun and spunky and genuinely seems like a great person.

But my second favorite performance tonight was from her Team Blake counterparts, Lelia Broussard and Suzanna Choffel. Performing Florence and The Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over,” the pair sounded perfect together. Best of all they looked like they were having so much fun. Maybe it’s just the song, but they really got me wanting to dance and watch their performance more than once.

When Blake chose music teacher Suzanna for his team over Leila, we were sure a coach would turn around for the young singer/songwriter. And then, no one did.

It’s a shame that she won’t be in the competition anymore, but I can’t imagine we won’t be hearing from her again. She’s too talented to not having something come from her appearance on the show. Do you hear me music industry? Someone get her a record deal!

Other contestants advancing on Monday’s episode included Team Christina singer, Dez Duron (who beat Paulina), Team Adam singer Sam James (who beat Benji), and Team Cee Lo singer/the man who looks like “Jesus” or so says Blake, Nicholas David (who beat Todd Kessler).

It was another dramatic night on NBC’s The Voice when the steal was enacted during Team Adam’s performance.

Performing “Lights” by Ellie Goulding, the two unique performers, Melanie Martinez and Caitlin Michelle, brought it with what Christina Aguilera called “the prettiest and most moving performance of the whole day.”

Though their performances were somewhat lacking during rehearsals with Adam Levine and Mary J. Blige, both contenders were amazing in their emotional and evenly matched performance once they hit the stage. In fact, not one of the other judges had any advice for Levine on which singer should continue to the knockout round as they were both good.

So who did Adam pick? And which coach was successful in stealing the other contestant?

With Adam unable to keep both singers on his team, he told everyone he was going with his gut. “My initial gut and the person that moved me the most from the beginning was Melanie,” said Levine.

Shortly after, both Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton hit their buttons and put their gloves up to steal theatre student, Caitlin Michelle.

Both coaches battled it out with a particularly hilarious exchange after Shelton said, “I don’t know, Caitlin, it just seems like a natural fit.” To which Cee Lo responded, “No, it does not.”

The usually laid back coach pulled out all the stops to recruit the singer. “Unique is my first name.” he said. “My full name is Unique Cee Lo Green.” For extra measure, he even added, “Come to me, my dark princess.”

With her unique flair, it was no surprise she chose Cee Lo as her new coach.

Other notable performances on Tuesday included Team Christina’s Aquile and Nathalie Hernandez and Team Cee Lo’s Cody Belew and Domo. Aquile prevailed during his performance with Nathalie on “You Give Me Something.” Cody and Domo rocked it to Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” complete with choreography with Belew continuing on to the next round.

Additional singers cut during Tuesday’s episode include smog technician Charlie Rey, who battled Rudy Parris, and former gymnast Lisa Scinta who sang with Celica Westbrooke.

The battle continues on NBC’s The Voice on Tuesday and NBC is promising us a big steal.

Monday’s episode introduced us to this new and necessary addition to the battle rounds as the coaches got to steal Amanda Brown (From Team Cee Lo to Adam) and Collin McLaughlin (From Team Adam to Blake). During Tuesday’s episode another 10 artists will duke it out on the stage for their chance to continue singing in the competition.

In a promo for the episode, we see at least seven of tonight’s contenders including Team Adam hopefuls Melanie Martinez and Caitlin Michelle; Team Blake hopefuls Liz Davis, Charlie Rey and Rudy Parris; Team Cee Lo hopefuls Cody Belew and Domo and Team Christina hopeful Nathalie Hernandez.

So who could be the big steal?

We’re thinking it must be someone from Adam Levine’s team as the promo also shows the Maroon 5 front man looking confused saying, “Who is going to win this battle?”

Uh-oh Adam. As Levine sits there looking anxious, both Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton hit their buttons while Christina Aguilera looks on. Who will get stolen? Which coach will win the contestant? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Excuse us when we say this but DAMN the contestants came to SING during the first battle rounds on Monday’s episode of NBC’s The Voice.

You probably had already seen the epic closing battle between Team Cee Lo’s Trevin Hunte and Amanda Brown prior to air time, but did you imagine that all three coaches would be pressing their buttons so frantically like that for the loser of the battle?

Well, of course, you must have. How amazing were these two?

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode.

I still have chills from watching them wail on Mariah Carey‘s “Vision of Love.” And no one was kicking himself more than Cee Lo Green for pairing the two powerhouses together. Making the tough choice, the eccentric coach chose Trevin as he said he felt he wanted to be a part of Trevin’s journey throughout the competition.

With that, the floors lit up as all three remaining coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton all vied for Brown with a push of their buttons. With all the coaches opting to use the steal, it was up to Brown to decide whose team she wanted to join.

Going with her gut, she picked Adam and I don’t think we’ve ever seen a coach happier.

What were the other highlights on the first night of battle rounds?

The mentors. Joining the coaches during the battle rounds are the mentors and this season there are some spectacular ones. Mary J. Blige joined Adam; Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day joined Christina; Michael Buble joined Blake and Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 joined Cee Lo. The mentors provided a lot of good insight to the contenders during their rehearsals and really complemented the advice and style set out by the coaches well.

A family overjoyed. Did anyone else want to cry when De’Borah won her battle again Nelly’s Echo? No one? OK maybe it was just me? Her reaction to winning and her family supporting her was one of the best things I have ever seen on a reality singing competition ever. I literally wrote in my notes, “De’Borah’s family is the best ever.” It’s moments like these that really set The Voice apart from American Idol and The X-Factor. Also how cute was De’Borah when she met Armstong? I wanted to hug her.

Another steal. Amanda Brown wasn’t the only singing hopeful stolen on Monday’s episode. After Team Adam’s Collin McLaughlin lost his battle to Bryan Keith in a fun performance of Sublime’s “Santeria,” he was scooped up by Shelton for his team. Blake wasn’t the only coach to push his button though, he fought with Cee Lo for the grad school dropout.

Maybe I should listen to country more? Team Blake’s second battle of the night between 2 Steel Girls and Graicia Harrison on the Dixie Chicks‘ “Sin Wagon” was so much fun, I couldn’t help but dance. Despite her rehearsal nerves, Harrison knocked it out of the park for her performance.

Casualities of the first battles included Casey Muessigmann and 2 Steel Girls (Team Blake), JR Aquino (Team Cee Lo) and Nelly’s Echo (Team Christina) who lost their bouts with Terry McDermott, Harrison, Diego Val and De’Borah respectively.

When NBC’s The Voice begins the battle rounds Monday, the gloves will come off for coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green as “the steal” is incorporated.

During a press conference and screening of Monday’s brand new episode attended by Celebuzz, Carson Daly told reporters the addition of “the steal” has made the show “like Gladiator.”

The steal allows a coach to pick up a singer another coach dropped from their team during their battle and we’ve seen just how well it works in the epic showdown between Team Cee Lo contenders, Trevin Hunte and Amanda Brown. During the battle rounds, each coach will be given the opportunity to steal two contestants from another’s team bringing their total amount of team members to 10 before the knockout round begins.

“I think you’ll see the steals added a level of intensity, because you see the coaches light up,” Daly told the room. “You know, the chairs are sort of back in action. The power shifting is happening again.”

Partially inspired by a Season 1 Team Cee Lo battle between Niki Dawson and Vicci Martinez, in which Dawson had to say goodbye to the show despite her enormous talent, the executive producers had wondered how they would have been able to keep her on the show. Thus “the steal” was born.

What does Green have to say about “the steal”?

The Goodie Mob singer thinks the friendly competition it brings between the judges is great. “Now I get a chance to work with someone and I thought, initially, that I could do a better job with them anyway.”

“As long as they choose me, you know, because you could be not chosen by this particular artist twice,” he added.

Daly also added that “the steal” makes the show better for the contestants.

“The steal enables all of the coaches to be incentivized, to keep their eye on all of the teams, all the contestants,” he said, “which is great ultimately for all the contestants, because our coaches care about all of them, not just their team.”

Excitement will be at an all time high during Monday’s episode as the steal is enacted more than once during the two-hour episode. Will you be watching?
