‘Two and a Half Men’ Picked Up For Tenth Season

Whether you like it or not, another Charlie Sheen-less season of Two and a Half Men is coming back to TV.

On Saturday, CBS announced that the hit sit-com has been renewed for its tenth season after seeing an increase in ratings since Sheen’s departure. This will be the series’ second season without the troubled 46-year-old actor.

Will the lineup remain the same for the new season?

Most definitely!

Sheen’s replacement, Ashton Kutcher, is set to return along with original cast members Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. All three actors have negotiated new agreements with Warner Bros. Television.

Kutcher’s first season on Two and a Half Men raked in a 13 percent increase in ratings compared to Sheen’s last season. The show itself was ranked second in prime-time comedies for adults ages 25 to 54 and third among adults 18 to 49.

Over the past few years, a slew of big-name celebrities have caught in the act as they’ve shown the less-than pleasant side to their well-known public persona. Such is the case with the leaked audio recording between Chevy Chase and the creator of his TV show, Community.

In light of this turn of events, Celebuzz has compiled some of our favorite celebrity rants!

One of the most famous and highly scrutinized ranters is Mel Gibson. Not only was he recorded making racist comments after an arrest in 2006, Gibson was also recorded making a series of hateful voicemail messages to his then partner Oksana Grigorieva.

Another famously recorded and leaked voicemail was the one Alec Baldwin left to his daughter Ireland in 2007. Among other things, Baldwin called the 12 year old a “rude, thoughtless pig”.

Other famous celebs who have been recorded showing themselves in a less than positive light are Charlie Sheen, Bill Maher, and Christian Bale.

‘Anger Management’ Star Katlin Mastandrea: Charlie Sheen is Cool & Professional

The days of the explosive Charlie Sheen are behind him, according to his newest costar! After his infamous meltdown, Charlie is back with his new show Anger Management premiering June 28.

Celebuzz talked to Katlin Mastandrea, who plays the best friend to Charlie’s daughter on the show. She says they’ve already changed the show in a number of ways, but one constant is that the show’s star is clearly ready for a comeback.

“So far, we’ve seen him at the table reads [and] he was very professional,” she says, adding that he’s “very funny.”

Upon first meeting, she says, “I thought he was pretty cool and professional when he walked in. He got right to the work that we needed to do.”

While they’ve made some changes to the show, Katlin says “it got funnier” with the tweaks. “It’s going to be very funny. We’ve already done a table read for the first two episodes.”

Ashton Kutcher shared some laughs and a basketball with one light-haired lady on Monday night. The Two and a Half Men actor sat courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers game and was smiling from ear-to-ear despite his name being splashed in the headlines.

Sporting a tattered Lakers cap, blazer slacks and gold socks, Ashton, 34, tweeted: “It’s really all about rocking a tight sock game isn’t it.”

Aside from his personal troubles with his estranged wife Demi Moore, Ashton also got bashed by former Men star Charlie Sheen this past week. Charlie called into TMZ‘s live web show and admitted, “I’m tired of lying … I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck.”

However, the actor later apologized.

The former CBS star, 46, said he got “excited” and felt bad throwing Ashton “into the crossfire.” What do you think? Did Charlie need to apologize, or was he right? Sound off in the comments.

Charlie Sheen had some colorful words to say about his Two and a Half Men replacement Ashton Kutcher. The actor called in to TMZ‘s live web show on Thursday and said of Ashton: “I’m tired of lying … I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck.”

Charlie Sheen: I’m Tired of Pretending Ashton Kutcher Doesn’t Suck

Tell us how you really feel! Charlie Sheen called in to TMZ‘s live web show on Thursday and, per usual, held nothing back. After being fired from his hit CBS show Two and a Half Men, Charlie seemed to be in good spirits when it was announced that Ashton Kutcher would replace him. However, he’s now singing a different tune.

He told the tabloid show:

“I’m tired of lying … I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck … I’m tired of pretending Ashton doesn’t suck.”

The actor continued, “It’s nothing personal … I just feel bad for him … he’s saddled with such bad writing.”

Uncensored Holland Taylor tells The Advocate that she misses having Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men.

“I think of Charlie and Jon [Cryer] and Angus [T. Jones] as family, and I sort of feel very familial toward them. And I miss Charlie very much,” she says.

Never fear, she’s not talking smack about his replacement — only that she misses the original!

“The fact that Ashton [Kutcher] is really wonderful and inventive and a delightful person takes away nothing from the fact that Charlie was those things as well and I miss him,” Holland adds.

Congratulations to Britney Spears and her long time beau Jason Trawick!

After nearly four years of dating, Jason finally popped the question to Brit on Thursday (his 40th birthday). While we are so excited that Brit and Jason are going to tie the knot, we can’t help but think about her two previous marriages. Brit first married childhood friend Jason Alexander in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony in early 2004, then, she married her back-up dancer Kevin Federline later that same year.

This got us thinking about all those other celebs who just love marriage so much that they did it more than once! So, who are some repeat offenders when it comes to getting hitched?

Glad to see that Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are still on good terms!

The former husband-and-wife duo was recently spotted at their kids’ soccer game in Calabasas, CA. Charlie and Denise, who split in 2005, cheered on daughters Lola and Sam with the other parents on the field. Charlie even hammed it up for the cameras when he spotted the paps snapping shots of the happy family!

The time has come to check out Ashton Kutcher‘s long awaited debut on the hit series Two and a Half Men, where his role as Walden Schmidt, an internet billionaire with a broken heart, will replace Charlie Sheen after a controversial exit from the show earlier this year.

But that’s not all! Just a short 30 minutes after ‘Men’ ends on CBS, Comedy Central will be premiering its much talked about Roast of Charlie Sheen.

Sounds like tonight is definitely a must-watch night for television!

Two and a Half Men will premiere at 9 PM on CBS, and The Roast of Charlie Sheen will premiere at 10 PM on Comedy Central.

Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher Meet Backstage at Emmy Awards

Just one night before the season premiere of Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen finally meet. Sheen met his Men replacement backstage at the 2011 Emmy Awards Sunday night and tweeted two pics of the duo on WhoSay. Sheen captioned one photo (seen on the right), writing:

“Giving the new kid a little advice..! With @aplusk backstage at the Emmy’s…”

In a more posed pic, Sheen tweeted: “Seriously… @aplusk great talking to you! We’ll all be watching! Make us proud!!” Ashton responded via Twitter, writing:

“@charliesheen good to meet you too. Wishing you the best on your new gig.”

He later added: “@charliesheen btw I’d love to connect with you at some point and talk about Human trafficking and what @dnafoundation is working on.”

Charlie Sheen Expects to Return to ‘Two and a Half Men’

He may have been down, but he doesn’t think he’s out. Charlie Sheen showed up on the TODAY show Friday morning clean shaven and looking healthier than we’ve seen him in years, talking about what’s next for him after he was let go from his hit CBS show Two and a Half Men.

In addition to his Comedy Central roast coincedentally airing the same night as the premiere of Men with Sheen’s replacement Ashton Kutcher, the actor disclosing to Matt Lauer that he’s planning a movie and even in talks about a TV show. But will he watch the new Men, and will he return to the show? Sheen says yes and yes.

“Of course I will (watch ‘Men’),” the actor told Lauer. “I’m also really curious about what happened to me. Because I don’t look at it just as what they’re doing forward, I look at it as what I left behind for them to continue, and how they’re going to figure all that out. So really, my hat’s off to them, if they can pull it off.”

Sheen added that there’s no body at the funeral so he’s sure he can still guest star on the show, and perhaps even show up at the series finale.

Looking back at his rants and raves earlier this year, Sheen says he didn’t really think the show would fire the main character. “I thought for sure that, ‘oh they can’t do this without me,’” he admits. “I mean come on, you know the show’s about this guy … they create a show about a guy who was a partier, that guy starts partying and gets fired. It’s like, make up your minds, people.”

Before concluding the interview, Sheen did give a promise to the public and his fans. “I’m not going to let (the fans) down. I’m not going to let them down when they put down money for a ticket or if they turn to the channel that I’m on, that I’m going to continue to deliver the things that have kept them interested the past three decades.”

Happy birthday, Charlie Sheen! The actor turns 46 today.

The past year has been a wild ride for the star after igniting a feud with the creator of Two and a Half Men by launching into a series of verbal tirades. He later went on a string of radio, TV and internet interviews that got progressively more heated, even manic, resulting in some uproarious quotes from a man on quite a roll. Celebuzz chose to honor the man in his own words — in our Sheen rant gallery.

After seemingly derailing, the troubled star has bounced back with an upcoming celebrity roast and new TV gig.

Deadline reports that Charlie has officially signed on to star in a sitcom loosely based on the 2003 Adam Sandler film Anger Management.

So, what attracted Sheen to this particular project? In a statement, Charlie said:

“I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept. It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth.”
