Chelsea Staub fans will have to memorize a new name if they want to follow the latest news on their favorite star – the Jonas LA actress has announced that she will henceforth be known professionally as “Chelsea Kane.”

A rep for the blonde beauty tells Celebuzz that Chelsea (real name: Chelsea Kane Staub) has been known privately as Chelsea Kane for years.

“She felt since Jonas was ending, now was the right time to transition,” Chelsea’s rep told us. Hey, it’s always a good time to try on a new name, just ask Prince or Diddy!

While her name has changed in the professional world, Chelsea will still use her “Staub” Twitter account name for the time being.

What’s next for Chelsea now that she has a brand new name? The actress will star in Lockerz’ original series, The Homes, which premieres in January.

What’s it like to kiss Nick Jonas? Apparently, it is so steamy that the Disney Channel can’t even air the kiss on TV!

Okay, not exactly, but Jonas LA stars Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson recently dished about what it’s like to lock lips with a Jonas brother.

In a video for Fanlala, Nicole was asked if there will be a kiss between Macy, her character on the show, and Nick in an upcoming episode. According to Nicole, a kiss was filmed but it was cut from the show.

“I think it was cut because it was too steamy,” said Chelsea, “I was there and I watched every make-up lady go ‘[inhale] wow’.”

“I think every person in the room wanted to kiss Nick Jonas after that one,” continued Chelsea while Nicole blushed and giggled. Well, everyone probably wanted to kiss Nick even before the steamy kiss, but seeing his smooch skills in person probably confirmed everyone’s Jonas-kissing fantasies.

There might be a reason that the Nicole-Nick kiss was so hot: The two co-stars reportedly used to date. The couple was spotted going on a double date with Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato in April and they were later seen holding hands off-camera on the set of Jonas LA.

While Joe Jonas has insisted in the past that he isn’t a heartbreaker, it seems like he either has really bad luck with relationships or just loves dating some of young Hollywood’s hottest startlets.

There was country star Taylor Swift, who he famously dumped with a 27-second phone call. Then along came actress Camilla Belle, who actually crushed poor Joe’s heart (as thousands of fans witnessed when the 20-year-old JoBro broke down in tears on stage in concert). And those are just two of Joe’s famous exes.

Hm, we smell an on-set romance brewing between Jonas co-stars Joe Jonas and Chelsea Staub.

Chelsea recently spoke to OK! magazine about Joe and the rest of the Jonas Brothers and she got pretty gushy when it came to talking about her relationship with Joe.

The 21-year-old actress told the magazine that they were the closest of the cast members and she describes them as “each other’s ying and yang.” Uh oh, Demi Lovato, you might not want to read this.

From OK!:

We really enjoy each other’s company, we’re kind of each other’s ying and yang. He’s very funny and kind of all over the place and I’m more like, ‘Joe we have to stay in line.’ So, it’s funny when we’re together. We kind of balance each other out.

[...]

They pretty much have everything going for them and not only that, but they’re very romantic. It comes with being artistic and a musician, they’re always writing songs and thinking of these romantic things to do. So, they do pretty well [with the ladies].

Chelsea also goes on to describe the “most romantic thing” Joe (and Nick) did for her was renting out an ice rink in Central Park to take everyone skating:

It was one of the most beautiful, romantic things I’ve ever experienced. I was like, I love you. Just make it official.

Hm. While co-stars tend to have close relationships, Chelsea and Joe’s friendship sounds like it might be a lot more than just friendly. Besides, we know that Joe has a thing for dating his co-stars since he was most recently linked with Camp Rock co-star Demi.

She, Mad Men‘s strikingly sharp housewife with the monthly moniker.  Jeremy Piven and January Jones were caught discreetly dashing off from a Golden Globes afterparty this past Sunday night.  Does this strategic streak indicate that something is afoot in the land of boots and butter?  Or is this merely a gentlemanly escort in the tradition of, well, not something out of recent Hollywood? 

Verdict:  The true gentleman in Hollywood is so hard to find… there was likely a quick humping involved, followed by endless remorse.

She, the seven-stone waif oft on Hollywood’s hottie hotlist. He, the hickey-hunky bloodsucker from True Blood that leaves the girls feeling faint. Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard have been seen smiling and cavorting since last Fall, culminating in what some writers have boldly referred to as a “public display of affection” at this past weekend’s Golden Globes. Do the Rules of Attraction necessitate that this ‘rexy starlet and sexy bloodletter are getting it on?

Verdict:  No nada nada. This couple is pure dog and pony show for the press. Sorry.

Is there anything more adorable than a fluffy puppy sleeping in a basket of blankets?  Aye, and his name is Joe Jonas. The difference being that its hard to forget about the puppy, while Joe seems to be the forgotten member of the almighty Jonas Brother trio these days, what with big brother Kevin losing his purity nugget and little brother Nick forming his own band and pretending to be straight. Nevertheless, Joe has been spotted with former gal-pal Chelsea Staub, of Chelsea Staub fame recently, acting “cozy” according to some onlookers. Let’s face it, “cozy” is but one snuggle-step away from “canoodling”.

Verdict:  Just light petting, above the scapula.

Oh, Jen, Jen, Jen, Jen. Always the bed maid, never the bedded. The most misunderstood Hollywood spinster in the history of such a category, if such a category even exists. The latest Tinsel Town innuendo matching Jen Aniston with Gerard Butler, the co-star of her upcoming film, The Bounty Hunter.  How many times will we see stories of Jen “dating” her leading man, only to have these stories fade quickly after film release?  The answer — forever!  It will never end.  Could it be real this time?  Could she be running numbers with the hot, handsome, and hirsute star of 300 and a bunch of other films not as good?

Verdict:  This is quite simply too depressing to contemplate.

Anyone remotely familiar with the Jonas Brothers knows that they have a pretty good sense of humor. But in case you have any lingering doubt, JONAS co-star Chelsea Staub confirmed that fact to Celebuzz at the Disney Virtual Fashion Show on Tuesday night. 

Staub—who plays Stella Malone on the Jonai’s TV series—reveals that Kevin, Joe and Nick relieved the boredom of downtime on the set by pranking the crew—including her.

“We are all under the age of 21 and we’re working on a set for twelve hours a day for six months so we definitely got in trouble,” Staub recalls. “One day I came back to my dressing room and Joe had stolen all of my furniture, everything from the hangers down to the light bulbs. And I was under the impression that I had been fired because they put a note in there from my producer so I was heartbroken trying not to cry.”

Worse, when Staub decided to dish out a little payback, Joe pulled an even more devastating prank on her.

“I had my whole revenge planned out and then he got me again, even worse,” Staub admits. “This time they had hidden cameras and hired actors and they’re releasing it. So you get to see me almost crying. They’re really good at it.”

Hmm; seems like Joe is a big fan of trying to make girls cry these days. 

Hopefully the footage of the prank will end up somewhere in the extras of the JONAS box set.

Chelsea Staub may have one of the coolest jobs, like, ever.

The 20-year-old actress stars in the new Disney show JONAS, alongside the Jonas Brothers and her best friend Nicole Anderson. On Wednesday, Chelsea sat down at Radio Disney to talk about the new show and reveal what it was like working with some of the most famous brothers in the world.

“It wasn’t a diva set” at all, she says, adding, “The brothers are just like you see them on TV. They’re normal, cool, fun guys. You forget who they are.”

Staub adds that, when working on the set for a six-month period, “you really get to know poeple for who they are at four in the morning.” While she wouldn’t reveal which brother was the crabbiest during the wee hours of the morning, she did say that until lunchtime, “it was quiet time on the set.”

Staub also reveals that Kevin, Nick and Joe did tons of improv on the set, and the majority of it made it into the show.

As for the music side of the series, Chelsea marvels at how well the JoBros performed while under the gun. Staub reveals that, at the beginning of the week, they’d receive a script for the following week, which would include dialogue and an empty slot for a yet-to-be-written song. The following day at the table read, Nick would already have the song written and completed, which she couldn’t get over.

“It shows how talented they really are,” she enthused.

Nick, she also said, “acts like a 30-year-old in a 16-year-old body.” She spilled that whenever Joe would fool around on set, Nick would always say the same thing: “Joe, don’t be foolish.”

Can’t you just picture that?

Chelsea Staub is one of the leads in the new Jonas Brothers TV show, JONAS, in which she plays Stella Malone, their best girl friend! As a friend of Joe, Kevin, and Nick since childhood, she attends high school with them and also designs the clothes for their super-popular band.

Celebuzz sat down at Radio Disney to talk to the beautiful, 20-year-old Arizona native about the show, which premieres on the Disney channel on Saturday. Of course, we wanted to know all about her time spent with the Jonas Brothers.

She said she loves how her character gets “the best of both worlds,” and that she gets to “bring them back down to earth” on the show, since she’s their liaison between life as normal high schoolers and rock stars. She auditioned for the part two whole years ago, when the brothers’ fame was nowhere near what is it today, and they filmed the show over a 6-month-period, without an audience, so it was very similar to a movie.

As for the brother’s characters on JONAS? They play exaggerated versions of their separate personalities, and a major part of it is making fun of themselves! Nick, as the serious one (“a 30-year-old in a 16-year-old-body”), Joe, as the clown, and Kevin, who goes all out on everything!

They also LOVE their pranks. Besides Kevin making her laugh all the time, Joe once took all of her furniture out of her dressing room and almost convinced her that she had been fired! She remarked that “you’ve got to be a brilliant prankster” to compete with the three of them.

Other juicy bits:

• On her own personal style: “It changes from day to day, I’d call it ‘bohemian chic.’ I like earthtones, woods, greens.”
• On which brother she’s closest to: “I met all three at the same time,” but, “its really easy to talk to Joe, since he’s around my age.”
• On what she’s doing for the premiere: Watching it at her L.A. apartment with her dad, grandma, and mom, which she calls “Team Staub.”
• On her biggest splurge: A HUGE Betsey Johnson purse. When she finally unwrapped it at home, she realized she had accidentally bought a diaper bag!!
• Who she’s dying to work with: Goldie Hawn.
• Her celebrity crush: “It changes daily between Justin Timberlake and Wolverine actor Taylor Kitsch.”

Chelsea Staub is the latest pretty face among the up-and-coming Disney stars who will be introduced to the World in the coming year. 

The 20-year-old blonde from Phoenix, Arizona, moved to Los Angeles five years ago to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. After landing the lead in the 2007 Bratz film, she went on to act in the 2008 Disney Original Movie Minuteman and did some appearances on the Selena Gomez show Wizards of Waverly Place.

Now the 5-6 actress has scored the role of a lifetime—as Stella Malone in the newly announced Jonas Brothers spy series called J.O.N.A.S!

Chelsea will play a reporter for a teen magazine, who accidentally ends up dating all three Jonas brothers (who are really secret agents, with the band being their cover)! Sound’s awesome!

But, umm…this might cause some trouble with the ENORMOUS and sort-of obsessive Jonas fan base. Watch your back, girlfriend!
