To give you an idea: Katy Perry has a 45-page rider that demands, among other things: Two cream-colored chairs, valued at $1,830; one matching footstool (natch), valued at $235; and a glass-door refrigerator, for $1,200. Because, who wouldn’t need all of that?

The legendary 65-year-old singer-actress stole the show at the GLAAD Media Awards 2012 on Saturday, where she donned — among other things — a giant black afro wig.

Cher, whose appearance was a surprise, attended the event to present her transgendered son, Chaz Bono, 43, with two awards — the Outstanding Documentary prize and the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, for helping to eliminate homophobia in society.

After a rocky past, the mother-son duo have mended fences — specifically Cher, who very publicly supported Chaz during his controversial run on Dancing With the Stars last season.

Meanwhile, The Hunger Games cutie Josh Hutcherson was awarded a prize that Cher won in the past — the Vanguard Award — which is presented to a member in the entertainment community for promoting equal rights for LGBT people.

Over the past few years, the VMA buzz has been Gaga, Gaga, Gaga, after she grabbed the attention with her blood-soaked performance of “Paparazzi” in 2009, followed by last year’s sweeping of the awards for the iconic “Bad Romance” video, and, of course, her infamous meat dress. Gaga opens the show with a performance this year, and we are sure she will have us talking yet again.

Together, these celebs are joining forces with The Creative Coalition and Blue Star Families to let military men and women know that they are not alone through a toll-free help line.

Although we all may feel hopeless at times they want to reassure that there is help. The CEO of The Creative Coalition Robin Bronk stated:

“We are grateful to the Military Channel for providing a platform to allow America’s artists to help bring a lifesaving message to our service men and women, and their families.”

With the increase issue of suicide among military men and woman, along with their families the organization is promoting a toll-free suicide prevention help line. The PSA will be launching this month and will air on the Military Channel.

Speculation started immediately that the two were doing a duet.

Never once to mince words, Cher corrected the misunderstanding, tweeting: “Nowhere have I said that GaGa & I r Doing a duet! Would I love it ? Of Course!!! If I hear something you’ll b the 1st to know!”

She later added: “I would love duet with GaGa, but She Gave Me GREAT Song & I’m beyond Grateful!!!! It’s called ‘The Greatest Thing’”

First up, Love and Other Drugs, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.

The film is based on the non-fiction book, Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman by Jamie Reidy and stars Jake as Jamie, a charismatic traveling pharmaceutical salesman. Jamie’s life is turned upside down when he meets Anne’s character Maggie, who is battling Parkinson’s disease. The two turn a one-night-stand into a romantic love affair.

Mick LaSalle at the San Francisco Chronicle called the film “beautiful” and praises both Jake and Anne’s performances:

Until now, Anne Hathaway has been a good actress, a smart actress, an actress with potential and an actress with a future. With “Love and Other Drugs,” her future begins. She is remarkable and moving as a 26-year-old in the very early stages of Parkinson’s disease, who has decided to take control of her emotional life by allowing herself to become close to nobody. In that way, shallow Jamie is the ideal consort – amusing and good for sex and not much good for anything else.

Love and Other Drugs opens on Wednesday, November 24.

Next up, Burlesque, Christina Aguilera‘s much-talked-about acting debut. The films stars Christina as Ali, a small-town girl with big dreams who travels to Los Angeles to launch her career. Ali gets a job as a cocktail waitress at a burlesque club where Cher‘s diva character Tess reigns supreme. Ali struggled with Tess to get her chance in the spotlight and eventually becomes the star of the show.

Time magazine‘s Mary Pols says that the fun, music-filled film is good, campy fun:

The movie is frivolous fun, but not, as I had sort of hoped, as sinfully awful as Showgirls, Mariah Carey‘s Glitter or Britney Spears‘ Crossroads [...] While it took my eyes an hour or so to recover from the chronic soft focus required to make the naturally vampy Aguilera look like an angelic Breck girl, Burlesque doesn’t have the kind of stunning bad taste that calls for the immediate invention of a drinking game built around it.

Burlesque hits theaters on Wednesday, November 24.

Tangled, Disney’s badass princess film featuring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi promises to bring some punch to the Disney princess franchise. The movie follows Rapunzel (Moore) as she tries to escape an isolated tower where she has been locked up in by an evil witch.

Disney’s Tangled is about life’s journeys, not its destinations — and that makes all the difference. Over here at Celebuzz, we can’t get enough of stars singing and dancing, so we’ve been waiting anxiously for the new film, Burlesque.

The film, which stars Cher and Christina Aguilera is all about a small town girl with big city dreams. She ends up following those dreams to Hollywood, and quickly becomes a hit sensation.

With a movie that features original music, glitzy costumes and hot dance numbers, what more could you ask for?!

Reporters lined the carpet with their microscopic lens that could magnify every pore on a celebrities face. Screaming fans stretched across Hollywood Blvd. added to the picturesque atmosphere of glitz, glamour and mayhem.

And while everyone was screaming at Christina and Kathy Griffin, I was waiting for my moment of glory, dying to get a photo of one of the A-listers. Sadly, Christina didn’t stop for a picture. But I did get photos with some of the dancers in the movie! 

All the ladies from the film looked hot in feathers, glitter and heels to the max. I even spoke with Brad Goreski from The Rachel Zoe Project about how he would have dressed the Burlesque girls.

More glitter, more feathers, more everything, more hair, more lashes. More! More! More!” he said.

All I knew was that I wanted more of Brad — hence his lovely photo taken with my handy-dandy phone. I’m so lucky the pictures came out great! Now, I can share them with all my friends on Facebook and Twitter. Kudos, Windows, for a fabulous night of star gazing on the red carpet!

Xtina looked gorgeous in a full-length emerald green gown while Cher rocked a semi-scandalous mini-dress with a bra-baring neckline. Not many 64-year-olds would wear an outfit like Cher’s but then again, not many 64-year-olds look like the legendary singer.

It was announced today that the soundtrack for the album goes on sale on November 16 and, as it should be, there’s a whole lot of Aguilera on it. The “Genie in a Bottle” songbird contributes eight of the twelve songs on the collection, including her roof-raising rendition of the Etta James chestnut “Something’s Got a Hold on Me” (which can be heard here). Xtina’s co-star, musical legend Cher, also contributes two tracks, and the collection is rounded out with one track each by cast members Kristen Bell and Alan Cumming.
