Move over skirts and dresses. This season, it’s all about the suit.

First came the classic pantsuit in white, black and even a combo of the two. Then Blake Lively and Amanda Seyfried were among the trendsetters to liven up their pantsuits with bright hues, while Kate Middleton gave the skirt suit an of-the-moment update in oxblood. Alexa Chung and Revenge‘s Ashley Madekwe even went a step further, sporting printed pantsuits on the red carpet.

But just when we were sure there could be no new incarnations of the suit this season, Miranda Kerr and Kristen Stewart gave it a cool-girl update, introducing shorts suits in everything from brights and brocades to bold black-and-white.

Angus T. Jones created a media firestorm on Monday when he openly trashed his CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men in a now-controversial YouTube video.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” said Jones in a religious testimonial for Forerunner Chronicles. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth.”

“People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you, you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch on the television. It’s bad news,” the 19-year-old continued.

While shocking, Jones — who has been with the hit show since its launch in 2003 — isn’t the first celebrity in Hollywood to bite the hand that feeds him.

In fact, many of today’s stars have found themselves in similar positions when speaking honestly — or at least openly — about their past or current projects.

Among the most infamous: Katherine Heigl, who bashed the Judd Apatow vehicle Knocked Up in 2007, and then her hit TV drama Grey’s Anatomy the following year; and Richard Gere, who in 2012 referred to his 1990 blockbuster comedy Pretty Woman as a “silly romantic comedy.”

FOX’s The X Factor has pushed up its the kickoff of its live shows. Originally slated to bow on Thursday night, the quick World Series sweep by the San Francisco Giants has brought the show back to its original Wednesday-Thursday schedule. The Top 16 acts will perform live on a special two-hour episode. Wedenesday’s first live show will feature the debut of hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez alongside judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. The top finalists will be revealed on Thursday at 8 PM. [FOX]

ABC has given full season orders to freshman comedy The Neighbors and sophomore drama Scandal. Though The Neighbors was universally panned by TV critics, the show about a couple (played by Jami Gertz and Lennie Venito) who live in a community full of aliens has performed decently in the ratings. Meanwhile the Shonda Rhimes-produced Scandal has held its ratings steady on Thursday nights. [THR]

Sports ruled the night in the ratings Sunday. FOX won the night overall with an average of 17.3 million viewers possibly due to runover from an afternoon NFL game. Game 4 of the World Series, which saw the San Francisco Giants sweep the Detroit Tigers, trailed NBC’s Sunday Night Football from 8 to 11 PM. ABC and CBS’ Sunday night line ups remained steady in the ratings compared to last week. [Zap2it]

British Girl Group The Saturdays are getting their own show on the E! network. The group, made up of Mollie King, Frankie Sanford, Vanessa White, Una Healy and Rochelle Humes, have had 11 Top 10 singles in the UK. Their show, Chasing The Saturdays, will follow the ladies as they take on life in Hollywood and record their new album. Chasing The Saturdays will premiere on Jan. 20 at 10 PM on E! [E!]

FOX’s midseason thriller The Following has just added Common Law’s Warren Kole in a recurring role. The actor will play Roderick, an important follower of serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy). Roderick does many tasks for his recently escaped master. The show also stars Kevin Bacon as FBI agent Ryan Hardy. The Following premieres Monday, Jan. 21 at 9 PM. [TVLine]

Chloe Sevigny, who can currently be seen on FX’s American Horror Story, is set to star in new A&E pilot, Those Who Kill. Adapted from a Danish crime series based upon book by Elsebeth Egholm, the show focuses on a police detective and forensic profiler who have a keen understanding of the serial killers they go after. Sevigny will play detective Catherine Jensen in the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Division. [Deadline]

Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy have both been renewed through 2016. The renewal brings the popular game shows into their 33rd and 32nd seasons respectively. In addition, hosts Pat Sajak, Vanna White and Alex Trebek have all renewed their contracts. Wheel of Fortune is currently the No. 1 game show on broadcast television while Jeopardy is No. 2. Actor Mark Deklin is replacing Switched at Birth’s Chris Wiehl in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Castle. The episode, which is currently in production and includes guest spots from Nancy Lee Grahn, Jack Wagner and Brendan Ford, is title “Significant Others.” There is no word on why Wiehl stepped down. AMC’s Hell on Wheels has been renewed for Season 3. The show recently finished its second season with an average of 2.4 million viewers. Though the ratings were down from Season 1, its though this could be due to AMC’s dispute with the Dish network. The third season order is for 10 episodes. [Deadline]

Former Community Showrunner Dan Harmon has got a new gig. Adult Swim has picked up a new animated series from Harmon titled Rick and Morty. The show is set to debut in late 2013. Ten half-hour episodes have been ordered. [TVLine]

NBC’s Up All Night is changing format. The Thursday night comedy starring Will Arnett, Christina Appelgate and Maya Rudolph is moving from a single-camera to a multi-camera format for five new episodes.  The last episode to be shot in single-camera will be Episode 11 which will be completed next week. Production will shut down for three months to make the change with new shows beginning to tape in February. Episodes will debut on NBC in April or May of 2013. [Deadline]

Glee‘s Grant Gustin is headed to West Beverly High on The CW’s 90210. The actor, who plays Dalton Warbler Sebastian Smythe on Glee, will appear on several episodes of 90210 this season. His character, Campbell is described as a wealthy, good looking college student from a privileged background. Gustin previously co-starred with 90210 actress Jessica Lowndes in the Lifetime TV movie, A Mother’s Nightmare. No details are provided as to when he’ll appear on the show. [THR]

Butter blonds Emma Stone, Amanda Seyfried, Taylor Swift, Chloe Sevigny, Chanel muse Poppy Delevingne, Alexandra Richards (daughter of Keith Richards), Rachel Zoe, Kate Moss and Glee‘s Dianna Agron arrived in Paris just in time for some of the week’s hottest shows.

Amping up the style front row the young starlets dazzled in the front row at Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Elie Saab and Louis Vuitton, sporting some of the best styles of the week.

But the blondes didn’t have all the fashion fun!

Brunettes beauties Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayak, Olivia Palermo and Kristen Stewart — plus redheaded stunner Jessica Chastain — all got in on the front-row action for the Paris Spring 2013 collections.

Chloe Sevigny is continuing her tradition of tackling provocative roles: she’s playing a transgender hitman in Hit & Miss, a six-week series launching Wednesday on DirecTV.

The opening scene of Hit & Miss will likely earn plenty of attention when Sevigny, 37, dons a prosthetic penis.

“Being around the men on set, being naked, and having that on, I just felt insecure and uncomfortable. Plus the process to put it on was very involved. I had to shave myself, it’s glued on, painted, like any prosthetic. It’s not fun to have someone right up in your private parts,” she said in the August 2012 issue of OUT.

How did she prepare for the role?

Sevigny went through firearms training, accent coaching, and kickboxing lessons.

Another thing Sevigny is preparing for: possible backlash.

“I was worried people would be angry that they didn’t cast a real person who was transitioning,” the Big Love actress said. “I asked why they didn’t, and the producers said they didn’t find the right person. It’s a big responsibility toward that community, and I wanted to do them right.”

“I really don’t want to offend anyone.”

Bikini-clad celebs are starting to get their tan on as summer quickly approaches. The latest starlet to hit to beach? Chloe Sevigny!

The 37-year-old was spotted hanging out with friends at Miami Beach this Saturday. Sporting a tie-dye two piece, the former Big Love star had fun snapping photographs before kicking back in a lounge chair.

Who knew Nicki Grant had such an amazing bikini body hidden beneath those high-collared bloused?

It’s a good thing Chloe is taking advantage of her beach time, seeing how the indie actress is reportedly in final talks to appear in the upcoming season of American Horror Story. According to Entertainment Weekly, Sevigny will play Shelly the Nymphomaniac, one of Jessica Lange‘s many mortal enemies.

Chloe rounds out the cast along with season one stars Evan Peters, Zachary Quinto, and Sarah Paulson. It has been confirmed that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will also make an appearance in the new season, which starts shooting this summer.

Chloe Sevigny isn’t afraid of making drastic style statements. The Big Love star stepped out March 26 for the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2012 event at the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier in New York City, where she revealed she’d chopped off her locks.

Looking more like an ’80s rock star than a Golden Globe winner, the actress complimented her edgy hairstyle with an over-the-edge outfit. Wearing a mesh blue top that showcased her black bra, Chloe paired that with a sea-green miniskirt and ankle boot heels. Needless to say, there was a lot to look at!

Chloe Sevigny as a man or James Franco as a woman: who looks the best as a cross dresser? Franco covered Candy magazine for their first issue and dressed as a rather convincing woman. In their latest issue, the former Big Love star fashioned a beard and a flannel to look like celebrity photographer Terry Richardson (who coincidentally took both of these cover photos).

According to TVline.com, the actress has been cast in a six-episode British series called Hit and Miss. Chloe plays the role of Mia, “a transgender contract killer who discovers that in a previous life he fathered several children.” The show is headed up by Shameless creator Paul Abbott.

Chloe Sevigny is no stranger to outrageous fashion but she may have accidentally stepped into a fashion mess when she walked the red carpet at the GO International Designer Collective launch wearing a confusingly severe outfit.

The Big Love actress wore a short-sleeved “Lesley” leopard dress from her Spring/Summer collection for high-end hipster fashion boutique Opening Ceremony. (The dress retails at select stores for $475.) Chloe paired the dress with a black bow-tie, a cropped black tuxedo jacket. While the outfit isn’t necessarily terrible, the slicked back hair, red lips and black thigh-highs give the overall look an awkward edge.

Although she is more well-known for wearing outrageous fashion, Chloe Sevigny looked casual and chic when she stepped out in New Yorkon Monday  in a fitted navy blue blazer.

Chloe Sevigny and DJ Pauly D found themselves an unlikely couple of basketball supporters court side at Madison Square Garden for Tuesday night’s match-up between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

Thankfully for these New York fans, the Knicks delivered a one-sided victory to the Spurs, who lost for just the sixth time this season. Of the two, Pauly seemed especially invested in the seriousness of the moments when victory wasn’t so sure. Later, the Shore star relaxed and snapped a couple of photos of himself on court.

After killing off her publicist with a heart attack, Chloe Sevigny is backtracking on her statements that the recent season of Big Love was “awful.”

Sevigny, now in full clean-up mode, is trying to shift the blame for her latest Katherine Heigl moment and is saying that the reporter who conducted the interview “provoked” her and her comments were “taken out of context.” Ah, the old, “out of context” excuse! Because that always works.

Chloe was sure to point out that her little outburst has nothing to do with the cast and crew at Big Love:

You know, after a day of junkets sometimes things slip out that you don’t mean, and I obviously didn’t mean what I said in any way, shape, or form. I love being on the show. I have nothing but respect and admiration for our writers and everybody involved with the show. It’s been the greatest opportunity of my lifetime so far — the best role I’ve ever played, the best part I’ve ever had the opportunity to portray. So I love the show. I think it’s the greatest show on television. I think it’s the weirdest show. I think it is very complex and the content is amazing and it’s just very ironic that this statement would come out and blow so out of control. Because I feel absolutely the opposite.

It is difficult being on a show for several seasons and having no control and having things go in different directions where you didn’t think they would go. But that’s also the most exciting part [because] they keep the character really fresh and there’s new scenarios that they come up with.

Hm, so Chloe was upset that she doesn’t have control over the writing, but she also isn’t upset? Why would Chloe have control over the writing anyways?

Maybe Chloe should give her mouth a rest and lay low for awhile, she appears to be doing more and more damage every time she tries to explain herself.

Has Katherine Heigl been coaching Chloe Sevigny on the art of media interviews? Sevigny seemed to pull a page directly from the Grey’s Anatomy actress’ Big Book of Unfortunate Quote-Spewing during a recent interview with The Onion, when she declared that her HBO series Big Love has been “awful” lately.

According to Sevigny, who plays polygamist wife Nicki Grant on the show,  “

It was awful this season, as far as I’m concerned. I’m not allowed to say that! [Gasps.] It was very telenovela. I feel like it kind of got away from itself. The whole political campaign seemed to me very far-fetched. I mean, I love the show, I love my character, I love the writing, but I felt like they were really pushing it this last season.”

And because Sevigny’s mouth is apparently big enough to accommodate both feet, she went on to offer this little tidbit: 

Sevigny: I think it was a very complicated season for [Niki Grant]. And you know, the whole relationship with the daughter, and then [Grant's ex-husband] J.J. [Laughs.] There’s always so much going on.

The Onion: Like how J.J.’s trying to inject her with an incest baby?

Sevigny: Oh God, I know. Oh, God. It’s too much. It’s too much. But I hope the fans will stick with us and tune in next year. There’s a lot of people who really love this season, surprisingly. God, I’m going to get in so much trouble.

You have to feel bad for the custodial crew over at HBO headquarters. They’re going to have a busy weekend, trying to clean up the mess from all those executives’ heads exploding.

Hey all, you might have heard, but there was this little thing called the Golden Globes on Sunday, which is one of the rare opportunities for show-bizzers to reward themselves for a job well done.

Anyway, Avatar and The Hangover walked away with Best Motion Picture honors, Robert Downey Jr., Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges won big in the film-acting categories, and Glee finally got the recognition that it so rightfully deserves (for a full list of winners, click here).
