Jennifer Garner held on tight to her youngest daughter Seraphina, as the pair headed to a doctor’s office in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday.

The mother of three, who donned a pair of shades and oversized cardigan for the outing, is expected to present at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

On the east coast, Sarah Jessica Parker was also spotted holding on to her little ones, Tabitha and Marion. The trio bundled up for the cold New York weather as Parker walked her twins to school with a friend.

Speaking of bundling up, Glee’s Chris Colfer put on multiple layers as he headed out of his New York hotel. The 20-year-old’s latest film, Struck by Lightning opens in select theaters on Friday.

Elsewhere in the Big Apple, Philip Seymour Hoffman was spotted riding around the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan while just blocks away, Alec Baldwin and wife Hilara Thomas were photographed heading back to their apartment.

In other sightings, Adele landed in Los Angeles on early Friday morning with her newborn son in tow. The British songstress is scheduled to perform at the Golden Globes.

Break ups are the worst. And in case you forgot that, FOX’s Glee is here to remind us with this week’s tear-fest episode, “The Break Up.”

The musical comedy has often been maligned for its surreality, but “The Break Up” is an example of everything Glee does well: The emotion, the music and the LOL-worthy one-liners were all on display this week, making it one of the series’ standout triumphs. If loving Glee is wrong, then I don’t want to be right — especially, if this is a sign of what’s to come. And watch out Glee hate-watchers, this may be the episode that sucks you back in.

OK, I’m just going to rip this emotional band aid right off: Finchel is dunzo. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never been the biggest fan of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn’s (Cory Monteith) relationship. Don’t get me wrong: I think they’re — rather, they were — cute in that high-school-geek-bags-the-captain-of-the-football-team kind of way. However, after Thursday’s episode, I’ve never waved my sad little Finchel flag higher.

Let’s rewind: No, Finn did not freak out at Rachel for walking in on her “date” with Brody. Instead, Finn is just sad. His military career ended after two weeks when Rachel accidentally shot him in the leg. No, not his girlfriend Rachel — his rifle Rachel. He then spent the last few months backpacking through Georgia before he ended up on Hummel Berry’s doorstep in Brooklyn. He didn’t call Rachel, because he didn’t want her to think of him as just another “Lima loser.”

Ever the optimist, Rachel believes now that Finn’s in New York, he’ll realize that he wants to go to NYADA and they can live happily ever after on the Upper East Side. Unfortunately for Rachel, her plan backfires. Instead of feeling inspired — a la Woody Allen — Finn feels overwhelmed and intimidated by the big city.

Meanwhile, back at McKinley, Blaine (Darren Criss) is struggling to adjust to Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) hectic new work schedule. I mean, when hate-watching Treme is your only date night, you know there’s a problem. So feeling neglected, he starts Facebook messaging a boy named Eli. I told you to grab your tissues, gleeks!

Blaine and Eli have a bit of a tryst. But before things could become too serious, Blaine flies to New York to be with Kurt. With Finchel and Klaine now reunited in the Big Apple, Rachel wants to celebrate — with karaoke, of course!

But when Finn declines Rachel’s offer to sing with her — yes, there’s a reference to “Don’t Stop Believin’” — she calls her go-to karaoke partner, Brody (Dean Geyer). And what song does she decide to sing with her NYADA bestie? Demi Lovato’s ode to starting over with someone new, “Give Your Heart a Break.” Oy vey. 

Then, Blaine twists the knife a little deeper and delivers a tearful rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” You know, the song he sang the day he met “the love of his life,” Kurt? NBD. Criss crying/singing face was almost too much to handle.

However, Blaine’s cover was a little too tearful for Kurt. And when he approached his sorrowful beau, Blaine came clean about his tryst with Eli — and poor Kurt ran away in tears.

Meanwhile, with Finchel, Finn is feeling insecure about Rachel’s friendship with Brody. And when he asks her if anything happened between the two of them, she admits that she and Brody had “only” kissed. That was enough to drive Finn back to Lima — but not before Finn, Rachel, Kurt and Blaine sing No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” in the middle of Brooklyn.

But Finn’s not the only familiar face back in Lima. Santana (Naya Rivera), who refuses to do laundry in St. Louis, is home for a steamy weekend with Brittany (Heather Morris). However, Brit’s too tired from all of her late-night Rapture studies to pay attention to Santana’s college woes. Now that Brittany isn’t McKinley’s student council president, she’s decided to pre-occupy her time with the Jesus Club 2.0.

Kitty (Becca Tobin), the new president of the Left Behind Club, is on a mission to prepare everyone for The Rapture, even if that means organizing a fake Rapture and name-dropping Kirk Cameron in every other sentence. To put it lightly, Kitty is cray-cray — but at least she’s a fun cray-cray and not a psycho cray-cray like Quinn on Season 3.

In fact, Kitty is so crazy, Jake (Jacob Artist) decides to forgo his seat at the popular table and break up with her. However, judging from the chemistry between Jake and Marley (Melissa Benoist) — hereby known as Jarley — he probably won’t stay single for long. Can we just talk about how cute Jake was when he caught Marley with her free lunch tickets? Instead of making her feel humiliated, he showed her his own free lunch tickets. Jake is officially on his way to becoming one of my favorite New Directioners.

Now, back to the breakups. With Kurt ignoring every one of Blaine’s calls and messages, it’s safe to say that Klaine is on hiatus. I may or may not have — OK, definitely did — shed a few tears when Kurt threw away Blaine’s note.

As for Santana, after serenading her lady love with an amazing cover of Taylor Swift’s “Mine,” she tells Brittany that she wants to put things on hold for right now. HEART = BROKEN. I’m sorry Santana, but T. Swift songs are already an emotional vortex for me and then you go and break up with Brittany? I’m. So. Sad. OK, I’ll admit that Santana actually made a very mature decision in ending their LDR (long distance relationship), but that doesn’t mean I can’t be sad about it.

And then there’s Finchel. Oh, Finchel. I don’t know how you managed to break my heart, but you did. Upset that Finn left New York without saying goodbye, Rachel flies all the way back to Lima to confront him. And Finchel fans, it didn’t have a happy ending.

Once again, Lea Michele killed me with her crying face. Michele and Monteith pulled off this scene brilliantly. In fact, it may have been some of the best acting either of them has ever done on the show. When Rachel tells Finn, “You were the first boy who made me feel loved and  sexy and visible. You were my first love, and I want, more than anything, for you to be my last, but I can’t do this anymore. At least, not now. We’re done,” I felt more emotionally invested into this show than I have in seasons. (Side note: When Finn looks at Rachel, a Coldplay song starts to play in his heart.)

Everyone has a first love, and that’s a name that you will undoubtedly cherish forever, but as you mature past your high school life, things change. You can’t be stuck in high school forever. For the first time, our McKinley graduates are moving on. I, for one, am excited for what’s next.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: When Blaine started to sing “Teenage Dream“ through his tears, I nearly started weeping at my desk. For a series that it so grounded in surreality, it may have been one of the most beautiful moments in Glee history.

Thank you, TV gods: For breaking up Jake and Kitty! That’s one breakup that I can get behind. Now, can you please get Jarley together ASAP?! Let me guess: She’s going to be cast as Sandy in the school musical and Jake can be her Danny. It doesn’t get any more perfect than that.

Awk-ward: Excuse me Rachel, but when you’re more excited to see your karaoke partner Brody than your boyfriend, you know there’s a problem.

Hotness: Finn and Blaine win the award for “Best Brooding” during their cover of Duncan Sheik’s “Barely Breathing.” I’d take Broody Blaine over Crying Blaine any day.

Fab-u-lous: The fact that Unique (Alex Newell) suggested Hedwig and the Angry Inch as McKinley’s next musical makes me love her even more than I already did. Sam (Chord Overstreet) would be a perfect fit for Tommy Gnosis. Right?

Can. Not. Wait.: To see Finn get his groove back! He’s being much too mopey and hard on himself these days. What happened to the goofy Finn we all knew and loved? Maybe this new mystery girl will knock some sense into him. Meanwhile, I really need see this guy Eli. Was he just a one-time fling for Blaine? Or is this going to turn into another Sebastian (Grant Gustin) situation? With Nolan Gerard Funk joining Season 4 as a new Warbler, Blaine’s love life is only going to get more complicated. At least Kurt has Sarah Jessica Parker to help him get over his heartbreak.

Get ready, Gleeks. Thursday night’s all-new episode of Fox’s Glee, aptly titled “The Break Up,” is a major tearjerker and Celebuzz has the scoop. All of the major couples are tested, and unfortunately, many of them are headed for Splitsville. (Warning: Spoilers follow.)

After Finn (Cory Monteith) showed up on Rachel’s (Lea Michele) doorstep in New York City, the two try to make things work. But small-town hero Finn starts to feel lost in the big city, and Rachel’s good-looking NYADA classmate Brody (Dean Geyer) isn’t helping.

Meanwhile, with Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) demanding new job at Vogue, Blaine (Darren Criss) starts to feel lonely. So he hops on a plane to JFK with a dream and a cardigan (sans bowtie!) to remember how things used to be — back when Kurt was his one and only Teenage Dream. 

And then there’s Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera), who are struggling to make their LDR (long distance relationship) work.

What else can you expect from “The Break Up”? We’ve got the scoop!

1. At least two couples are O-V-E-R… for now.

At least two Glee couples will be dunzo by the episode’s end, and while each pair has a different reason for splitting, it won’t make it any easier for fans. Every couple will, in some way, recall the first time they met — whether it be in the fourth row of the choir room or in the school auditorium — and Glee fans will appreciate the nods to some of the series’ finest episodes. Let’s just say when Finn looks at Rachel, a Coldplay song plays in his heart.

Also, don’t be too sad, Gleeks, there’s always hope for a reconciliation.

2. Someone gets caught cheating.

Flirting over Facebook gets someone in a lot trouble — and yes, it ultimately leads to a devastating breakup. Seriously, Gleeks, get your tissues ready. Meanwhile, another character admits to being attracted to someone else.

3. Rachel and Brody have a karaoke moment that will most likely break Finchel fans’ hearts.

Finn was already feeling like a “Lima loser” when he came to New York, but emotions really come to a boiling point when Rachel decides to sing Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break” with Brody at a karaoke bar in Brooklyn. Apparently, Finn hasn’t even sung in the shower since Nationals and wasn’t really in the mood to polish up his pipes for karaoke. Unfortunately for Rachel, singing a love song with another guy in front of your boyfriend is probably not the best way to cheer him up.

4. Brittana is finally reunited, but it’s not necessarily something to cheer about.

Santana once again serenades Brittany in the choir room, and if her version of Taylor Swift’s “Mine” doesn’t make you run to download it on iTunes, then you’re crazier than Dottie Sagitori (Tina’s assistant). Santana’s musical confession may not, however, be the answer to Brittana’s problems.

5. Marley and Jake have more in common that you might think.

Everyone may be breaking up, but Marley and Jake — hereby known as Jarley — are starting to get closer than ever. Unlike his half brother Puck, Jake isn’t the most popular guy at McKinley. Not only does he risk his relationship with Kitty (and his spot at the popular table) for Marley, but McKinley’s new bad boy starts to open up to the glee club’s new Rachel. Surprisingly, they have more than a few things in common.

6. Kurt and Finn share some brotherly love.

For those of you missing the quasi-brotherly relationship between Finn and Kurt (think: “Grilled Cheesus”), then you have something to look forward to in “The Break Up.” Not only does Finn affectionately adress Kurt as “Little Brother,” but the two also share an emotional scene in which one character bids a sad adieu to the other — with a hug.

7. Kitty gifts Marley — and herself — with new nicknames.

While it probably won’t be too hard to figure this one out, Kitty dishes out three new nicknames, two for Marley and one for herself. And while nothing is quite as good as “Richie Poor,” we think “Soldier of the Lord,” “Itty Bitty” and “Boobless” are great additions to Kitty’s expanding vocabulary of glee-otchy one-liners. Can you guess which one is for Marley?

8. Jesus makes a comeback at McKinley.

The Rapture is coming, Gleeks. With Kitty at the helm of the Left Behind Club, she’s starting to freak everyone out with her Kirk Cameron name-dropping and fake Rapture drills — especially her boyfriend Jake. Luckily, McKinley’s No. 1 glee-otch Santana is back in town, and she’s not going to put up with Kitty’s nonsense.

9. Mr. Schue goes to Washington…

But will Emma give up her dreams to help Will chase his? Come on, Will, Emma has pamphlets to make! She can’t follow you to Washington.

Can you say game changer?

With Sarah Jessica Parker making her debut on FOX’s Glee, I expected at least one reference to Sex and the City — but taking one of the HBO series’ most iconic scenes and turning it into a Rachel/Brody love-fest? Now, that, I didn’t see coming.

Excuse me while my brain still tries to process the last five minutes of this roller coaster episode. So far, I have one word: Really?!

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “Makeover.”

Kurt (Chris Colfer) — Lima’s No. 1 fashionisto – has landed himself a coveted internship at Vogue. His editor is none other than his fashion icon, and former designer, Isabelle Wright (guest star Sarah Jessica Parker). However, Isabelle is no Anna Wintour. In fact, she’s the exact opposite. When it comes to being an editor, Wright is bit of a pushover.

For fans of HBO’s Sex and the City, this might just be your favorite episode of the FOX comedy yet. Parker pretty much plays Carrie Bradshaw (if she could sing, that is). She’s nice, funny, has a killer sense of fashion and she’s in way too over her head. Luckily, she has Kurt to help her come up with an idea that will knock the Manolo Blahniks off Anna’s feet.

Thanks to Rachel (Lea Michele) — and her awful sense of style and reckless love for knee-high socks — Kurt comes up with the perfect idea for Isabelle: A makeover video for Vogue.com. Her response? “Stop right there. You had me at makeover.” I told you she was Carrie Bradshaw 2.0.

So after a bit of frolicking through Vogue’s couture fashion closet (“The Way You Look Tonight”/”You’re Never Fully Dressed”), Rachel is transformed from glee club geek to “Chloe Sevigny chic,” Kurt gets his video idea featured on Vogue.com and Isabelle gets her groove back — and a “Great” from Anna.

Of course, there wasn’t a pair of Manolo Blahniks or a tutu in sight, but there was a reference to one of Sex and the City’s most iconic episodes — “I Heart NY.” And I’m warning you, Finchel fans, you’re probably not going to like this.

Brody (Dean Geyer) is seriously putting the moves on Rachel. And after their romp around the West Village (“A Change Would Do You Good”), she’s not stopping him. So Rachel invites Brody over to Bushwick for dinner. But when she fails to figure out how a stove works, thankfully, Brody arrives with pizza and wine in hand. The two enjoy a nice dinner on the floor of Hummel Berry’s unfurnished studio — and yes, they kiss.

Oh, and what song do you think is playing in the background? “Moon River” by the late Andy Williams. Sex and the City fans, this is probably starting to sound familiar. But wait, does this mean that Brody is Rachel’s Mr. Big? Then does that make Finn (Cory Monteith) Rachel’s Aidan? Except, I could never see Big in a pair of skinny jeans.

Of course, Rachel doesn’t have time to think about these kinds of questions because Finn arrives at her apartment just in time to see his flustered girlfriend with her new NYADA friend-with-benefits. I wish I could say, “Poor Finn,” but I really don’t feel bad for him. After all, he’s the one that didn’t call Rachel for two months. In fact, I never thought I’d be #TeamRachel, but she’s doing exactly what every college freshman should be doing.

Now, Kurt on the other hand… While I like seeing him take the fashion world by storm, I don’t like seeing it at Blaine’s (Darren Criss) expense.

Back at McKinley, Blaine is restless, so he joins every club public high school has to offer, including Superhero Sidekicks Club (“Everybody Wants to Rule the World”). Honestly, Ryan Murphy missed a golden opportunity to capitalize on Team Starkid fans and dress Criss up in a Harry Potter costume.  I highly doubt McKinley wouldn’t have a Harry Potter club.

But I digress. Blaine is trying to occupy his time so that he doesn’t have to be alone without Kurt. However, even the time he does get to spend with Kurt — when they’re “hate-watching Treme together” via Skype — is limited. So, he decides to run for student council president… against Brittany (Heather Morris).

Unlike last year, this season, Brittany and Blaine have to choose running mates. Brittany chooses her ex-boyfriend (and “half robot”) Artie (Kevin McHale) — “So I could be Cheney to your Bush?” — while Blaine agrees to let Sam (Chord Overstreet) join his campaign.

After one slightly-too-long campaign makeover montage (think HBO’s Game Change), set to Hole’s “Celebrity Life,” Blaine and Sam, otherwise known as the “Gay Bro and the Stripper,” clinch the victory against the “Pimp and the Gimp.” If only Kurt would have picked up Blaine’s phone call and congratulated him, then maybe Blaine wouldn’t have ditched his signature bowties.

That’s right, Blaine finally said bye bye to his bowties. Uh oh, is Kurt next?! It looks like everybody is changing, but at what cost?

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Sue’s (Jane Lynch) suggestion that Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) should stop teaching and attend “pedophile clown college” is probably one of the greatest ideas I’ve heard all season. Right after, Schue’s plan to apply for a job that would require him to leave McKinley. Sorry Schue, I like you and all, but I can certainly go without seeing you for a while. Besides, if the only idea you have is “A Salute to Fall,” then it’s time for a new glee club director. Is Ricky Martin still available?

Thank you, TV gods: For finding another excuse for Sam to take off his shirt. Is it just me or has Overstreet upped the charm this season? His George Bush and John Wayne impersonations were probably the highlights of the episode.

Awk-ward: I’m sorry Brittany, but I don’t care how much you love McKinley, no one wants to be in school 24/7. Banning summer vacations and weekends? Is that truly your version of Happyville? No wonder you didn’t win this year.

Hotness: Chord Overstreet. Shirtless. Enough said.

Fab-u-lous: Parker is the best thing that’s happened to Glee in a very long time. She was practically born to play this role! Not only does she get to play Carrie 2.0, but she gets to sing showtunes from Annie — a show that she knows quite well, considering she starred in the production on Broadway. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Can. Not. Wait.: To see how Finn reacts to Rachel and Brody’s date night. Lea Michele has one epic crying face. Oh, and did I mention that Blaine comes to New York to visit Kurt next week? Yeah, I’m not sure my heart is ready for all of the relationship drama.

It’s Britney, b—h!

Hopefully, Britney Spears has a sense of humor because after watching this week’s episode of Glee, she’s either going to be overcome with horrible flashbacks or thankful for how far she’s come in the last five years. In “Britney 2.0,” Brittany has one epic meltdown — but can she stage the ultimate comeback?

Back in New York, Rachel and Brody get closer than ever, thanks to the power of Spears’ super steamy catalog. Is this the beginning of the end for Finchel?

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s episode, “Britney 2.0.”

Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris) is sad. She was kicked off the Cheerios by Sue (Jane Lynch) for turning her math tests into coloring books. Santana (Naya Rivera) doesn’t have time for their “scissor chats.” And Lord Tubington has ditched her for a gang! So to cheer up Brittany, Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) organizes yet another Britney week. After all, she is Brittany’s namesake.

Even Tina, Teen Jesus (Samuel Larson) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) get in on the Britney action. The trio perform the popstar’s ménage à trois anthem “3″ – and dare I say it, it’s one of the best covers Glee has ever produced in its four-year run. Not only did I finally understand what Britney was saying (“Everybody loves counting” — who knew?), it highlights some of the glee club’s most underused voices. Say what you want about Richie Poor, but he has a nice falsetto.

Unfortunately for Britney, even the New Directions can’t save her from herself. Britney’s downward spiral mimics Spears’ public meltdown in 2007. She beats up JBI (Josh Sussman) with an umbrella, attempts to shave her head in the choir room and even puts the New Directions in jeopardy of losing their national title with a horrendous lip-synched performance (“Gimme More”) for the entire school. Cheetos, 72-ounce sodas and giant pop-tarts are also involved.

Thankfully, Sam is there to pick up her pieces — and initiate Brittany’s epic comeback, which includes tutoring sessions with Mr. Schue and Emma (Jayma Mays), getting herself back on the Cheerios and getting serious about being Class President.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) move into a Brooklyn palace. Sure, it’s not Manhattan, but at least it’s not a shoebox. Not to mention that Bushwick is totally an up-and-coming hotspot for young New Yorkers. It’s only a matter of time before Kurt turns into a Pabst Blue Ribbon-drinking, vinyl-loving hipster. After all, he’s already vying for an internship at Vogue.

Feeling insulted by her dance instructor Cassie (Kate Hudson), Rachel enlists her new friend Brody (Dean Geyer) to help her sex up her tango. Without hesitation, he accepts the challenge, and I can only imagine that thousands of Finchel fans cringed at the site of Brody humping a table while Rachel belted, “I’m not that innocent!” Cassie, on the other hand, was less-than-impressed, dismissing Little Miss Schwimmer as a wannabe sexpot.

Rachel then lashes out at Cassie, saying that she’s just jealous that she lost her shot at becoming a big-time Broadway star because of her explosive temper. Unfortunately for Rachel, she didn’t have the upper-hand in this argument. Now Rachel, what did I tell you about throwing shade at your teachers?

In an effort to cheer her up, Brody visits Rachel — 45 minutes away — in Bushwick. (For those of you who don’t live in New York, this is a very big deal). “I’ve lived here for three years, and I didn’t even know there was a J train.” Oh, Brody. I already despise you. And that was before you ended up at Rachel’s apartment with an orchid and a proposition to take her on a date. I’m starting to really miss Finn (Cory Monteith). However, Rachel is starting to lose hope.

Back at McKinley, things are heating up between Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake (Jacob Artist) — affectionately known as Jarley. The two perform a lovely mashup of Britney’s “(You Drive Me) Crazy” and Areosmith’s “Crazy.” The chemistry between these two newcomers was so strong, I almost forgot Finchel even existed. Marley and Jake’s relationship is reminiscent of Rachel and Finn’s mutual attraction in Season 1. However, Marley is instantly more likable — and Jake is 10 times more interesting. I’m sorry, but who doesn’t like a good girl/bad boy love story?

“Britney 2.0″ also marked the return of some of the glee club’s graduated members: Santana (via Skype) and Puck (Mark Salling). After Jake gets into a lunch room brawl — he was defending Marley! — Mr. Schue sends him to the one person he thinks can get through to him: his half-brother, Puck.

He may have only been on-screen for two minutes, but Puck reminded us why he’s Glee’s unsung hero. Who else could wrap up an entire storyline in less than a minute? It’s not like he had that much time to talk to his bro anyway — he had a Bachelorette contestant waiting for him back in Los Angeles. Puck’s talk managed to knock some sense into Jake, who agreed to join the glee club after his brother convinced him that it made him “a man.”

But just when you think this means that Jarley has a shot, Jake goes and messes everything up by getting together with Sue’s “head bitch” Kitty (Becca Tobin). Of course, this makes Marley sad, and what do you do when you’re sad and in the glee club? You sing a song. For Marley, she chose her favorite Britney song, “Everytime.”

Did this remind anyone else of Rachel’s cover of Rihanna’s “Take a Bow” in Season 1? Marley is definitely the new Rachel — and I love it.

OMG!: Was I the only one who felt a tiny part of my heart die when Brittany stared at Santana’s unavailable status on iChat?

Thank you, TV gods: For bringing back Emma’s tell-all pamphlets! One of the greatest things about Glee is its self-awareness, and for loyal Gleeks, it was a nice touch that did not go unnoticed.

Awk-ward: Jake, how could you choose Kitty over Marley?! Especially after you two shared a Britney Spears-inspired duet? I. Am. Devastated. But not as devastated as Marley, who totally sang the sappiest Britney song of all-time in front of the entire glee club — and her crush.

Hotness: I’m sorry Brody, but not even your table-humping could distact me from Blaine (Darren Criss) and Artie’s (Kevin McHale) sexy mashup of Britney’s “Boys” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.” These two show just join a boyband now. They already have the moves — and the similar fashion (sweater vest fetishes, anyone?).

Fab-u-lous: Now one throws a diva meltdown better than Kate Hudson. She could even teach Britney a thing or two.

Can. Not. Wait.: For things between Marley and Jake to finally heat up. Jarley may be my new favorite couple. (Don’t worry, Klaine is still my No. 1).

School is back in session on FOX’s Glee,  but not all of our favorites were back for their first day (RIP Rachel’s headband). Luckily, there are a hoard of new characters to keep us entertained. Oh, and Kate Hudson.

Note: Spoilers if you haven’t watched Thursday’s premiere, “The New Rachel.”

At the end of last season, Rachel (Lea Michele) arrived in New York City with a dream and a suitcase full of cardigans. When Season 4 kicks off, we see that Rachel’s optimism is slowly being chipped away by her stone-cold, alcoholic dance teacher Cassandra July (Kate Hudson).

Everyone knows that she’s as hard as nails — but a recommendation from Cassie could get you on Broadway (as a Flying Monkey, but hey, that’s still Broadway!). Hudson is fabulous as Cassandra. If her mashup of ”Americano” and “Dance Again” doesn’t make you want to get up and dance, you and Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) must truly deserve one another.

She even has a new name for Rachel: “Little Miss David Schwimmer.” Looks like Sue isn’t the only one who can dish out mean — yet scarily accurate — nicknames.  And Rachel did kind of deserve the new nickname. NYADA Rule #1: Never throw shade at your teachers. Save your shade for your slutty roommate!

However, Rachel is determined to push through all of the drama and strive at NYADA. So what if Finn hasn’t called her in TWO MONTHS. Her and NYADA hottie Brody (Dean Geyer) bond over midnight skin rituals. How cute. He’s just full of elder knowledge like, “Our skin is like our paintbrush and our canvas.”

Back at McKinley, the New Directions are reveling in their newfound popularity. You see, all you need to be popular is a state title. With their new social status, glee club suddenly becomes the most popular club at McKinley. However, as Artie reminds the group, school social circles are like Game of Thrones, and “winter is coming, people!”

Meanwhile, the Fierce Five –  Artie (Kevin McHale), Blaine (Darren Criss), Brittany (Heather Morris), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Unique (Alex Newell) — are duking it out for the coveted role of being “The New Rachel” in the glee club. Well, Artie could care less. He just wants to be the one in charge of choosing the new lead vocalist.

After an intense “Call Me Maybe” sing-off, Artie picks Blaine as Rachel’s replacement. However, with adorkable new girl Marley (Melissa Benoist) in the picture, it looks like Blaine might have to forfeit that title.

Speaking of Marley, is it just me, or is New Directions latest addition a carbon copy of Rachel from Season 1? It’s no coincidence that these two share a duet in the premiere. It’s as if Rachel is symbolically passing Marley the torch — or in this case, the ugly sweater — in their rendition of Paul Simon’s “New York State of Mind.” Like Rachel, Marley is a small town girl with a big city dream of becoming a chart-topping singer. Thankfully, Marley is 100 times more likeable than Season 1 Rachel.

Marley isn’t the only new character this season. We also meet Jake (Jacob Artist), McKinley’s newest badboy. Forget Brody, I’m on Team Jake! Who doesn’t love a cute boy with a chip on his shoulder?

Jake is also Puck’s younger half-brother, which of course, adds to his attractiveness. However, it looks like the younger Puckerman is more of a lone wolf. Not to mention that his cover of The Fray’s “Never Say Never” is totally swoon-worthy. No wonder all of the ladies love him. Yes, we’re talking Marley. Those two are going to be the new Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan  (“A Walk to Remember,” duh) — hopefully, without the tragic ending.

Marley, however, might have some competition from Kitty (Becca Tobin), McKinley’s new glee-otch. Kitty is a sophomore Cheerio and Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) new “Head Bitch.” Think of her as a mix of Season 1 Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Season 2 Santana (Naya Rivera). She even gives Sam (Chord Overstreet) a new nickname. Say bye-bye to “White Chocolate” and hello to “Richie Poor.”

However, Kitty’s real target is sweet, innocent Marley and her lunch lady mom. In one of the more heart-wrenching storylines of the episode, we find out that Marley’s mom is actually the obese lunch lady that everyone at school makes fun of, and associating with her is pretty much like social suicide. Thankfully, it looks like the glee club — and especially Sam — will have her back.

As for Kurt (Chris Colfer), he’s struggling to find his place in Lima now that all of his friends have moved on. Working at the local cafe is not how Kurt envisioned his post-grad life — and Blaine knows it. So Blaine Warbler (a.k.a. “The Best Boyfriend Ever”) decides to give Kurt the push he needs to live his dreams in New York. And in true Klaine fashion, Blaine tells him this via song (“It’s Time”).

Kurt then shares a tearful goodbye with his dad Burt (Mike O’Malley). In many ways, the relationship between Kurt and his dad is the most meaningful ‘ship on Glee. It’s nice to see a father accept his son for everything that he is — and encourage him to live out his dreams — even if it means losing him to the wonders of New York City.

Now that Rachel and Kurt are finally reunited in the city, there’s no telling where these two talented BFFs are going to end up. (Well, that’s not entirely true. We know that they’re moving off the island to Brooklyn.) All I know is that I’m down for the ride. Hopefully, this means Kurt will become the neo-hipster that he was meant to be.

On a side note, we also meet Sue’s baby daughter Robin. Yes, she actually had a baby. However, her high-profile baby daddy is still unknown. Now this is the Sue Sylvester I love. She pops in for one scene and adds the perfect dose of humor.

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Can we talk about the moment Blaine serenaded Kurt in the courtyard? I can’t be the only one who was feeling overly emotional when Blaine dedicated “It’s Time” to Kurt. I mean, “Best. Boyfriend. Ever.” On another note, Brittany wins the award for best line of the night: “It’s hard making out over Skype. You can’t really scissor a webcam.”

Thank you, TV gods: For keeping Mr. Schue’s screen time to a minimum. There’s only one teacher that I want to see on my screen, and her name is Cassandra July. Although, I wouldn’t mind if Burt (a.k.a. TV’s Best Dad) got a few more lines.

Awk-ward: Excuse me, Brody, I know that you’re starting to crush on Rachel, but trying to convince her to break up with Finn after less than 48 hours of friendship is a bit awk.

Hotness: When we first meet Brody, he’s half-naked, dripping wet and singing an 80′s rock classic. Enough said.

Fab-u-lous: Unique, darling, you better werk. I wasn’t Newell’s biggest fan when he appeared on Season 1 of The Glee Project, but I can’t be more impressed with his portrayal of Wade/Unique. Plus, you have to love someone who talks in the third person without cracking a smile! “Make no mistake. Unique will be the new Rachel.”

Can. Not. Wait.: For Finn and Blaine to come to New York. Unfortunately, gleeks, we’ll have to wait for episode four — the grimly titled “The Break-Up” — for that to happen, but here’s hoping that Klaine and Finchel have a few cute moments before then. Also, I need to know where this Sam-Marley-Jake triangle is going. Was Sam just trying to be a good guy, or does he have eyes for Marley? It’s not that I don’t love me some “White Chocolate,” but I think Marley and Jake would make a adorable couple. It’s kind of like a modern-day Grease! Or when Puck and Rachel had a one-episode fling on Season 1.

Happy Season 4 premiere day, Gleeks!

In tonight’s premiere episode, a few new characters make their Glee debut, including Marley (Melissa Benoist), Kitty (Becca Tobin), Jake (Jacob Artist) and Brody (Dean Geyer). When Celebuzz got a sneak peek of the episode, however, we couldn’t help but feel like we’ve seen these characters before.

These Season 4 newbies are practically carbon copies of some of our favorite McKinley graduates. Marley might as well be known as Rachel 2.0 — or better yet, “The New Rachel” (as tonight’s episode is titled).

What else can you expect in Glee’s fourth season? Rachel (Lea Michele) is struggling to find her place at NYADA — and to keep her relationship with Finn (Cory Monteith) intact.

“Rachel, in the first few episodes, is really always thinking about Finn. She is all about Finn. That’s where her head is at,” Michele told E! Online. “And this guy Brody just kind of keeps sort of popping up a little bit. He’s interested, so we’ll see where it goes.”

It might go further than Finchel fans want it to. But Rachel and Finn’s future as a couple isn’t the only relationship in danger this season.  TV Line recently chatted with Glee executive producer Brad Falchuk, who revealed that none of Glee couples is safe in Season 4. “All of the core relationships are tested,” he said, previewing the fourth episode in the season, titled “The Break-Up.”

We’re less than a week away from the Season 4 premiere of Glee, and Celebuzz has the scoop on the episode, titled “The New Rachel.”

For those of you worried about the FOX series’ new split format, we can happily report that co-creator Ryan Murphy and the show’s writers have managed to seamlessly balance the two locations. In fact, “The New Rachel” returns to Glee‘s roots, and with a hoard of new characters, it feels eerily like Season 1.

Unfortunately for Finchel shippers, there’s no sign of Finn (Cory Monteith) in the first episode except for a few photos, but that doesn’t mean that Rachel’s (Lea Michele) giving up on her man. 1. Someone got inked over the summer.

In the second season premiere, Quinn Fabray revealed that she got an “ironic tattoo of Ryan Seacrest” over the summer. When Season 3 kicks off, another member of New Directions has gotten inked: Tina! Her tat reads, “Make Change Forever” — and it shouldn’t take gleeks very long to figure out the tattoo’s significance.

2. Meet Kitty, McKinley’s latest glee-otch.

Kitty, played by newcomer Becca Tobin, is a sophomore Cheerio — and Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) new “Head Bitch.” Think of her as a mix of Season 1 Quinn and Season 2 Santana. Let’s just say that Sam (Chord Overstreet) has a new nickname. Say bye-bye to “White Chocolate” and hello to “Richie Poor.”

3. And then there’s Marley, the “new Rachel.” 

Sure, she may not be Broadway-bound, but Marley (Melissa Benoist) is arguably the best new voice in the glee club. She’s pretty much the equivalent of Rachel Berry in Season 1: An amazing voice with a horrible fashion sense. But don’t let her love of ugly hats distract you from her adorkable personality. Marley is so sweet, she’ll give you a toothache — kind of like Mandy Moore in A Walk to Remember. But in the season premiere, she’s also hiding one huge secret.

4. Don’t forget Puck’s half-brother Jake!

Sorry, Brody, but when it comes to Glee’s new hunks, we’re on Team Jake (Jacob Artist). As McKinley’s newest badboy, Jake is reminiscent of his older brother Puck. However, it looks like the younger Puckerman is more of a lone wolf. Did we mention that his solo will make you swoon? No wonder all of the ladies love him. Yes, we’re talking about Sugar — and perhaps someone else.

5. Klaine might just make you cry.

Get your tissues ready, Klaine fans. Blaine and Kurt (Chris Colfer) share a moving scene in the McKinley courtyard — you know, the same place where Blaine Warbler serenaded Kurt with Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” — and of course, it ends in song.

6. But Burt Hummel will most definitely make you cry.

Can we just give Burt (Mike O’Malley) the Best TV Dad Ever Award now? Despite only having a minute of screen time, Burt shares a few words of wisdom with his son.

7. Britanna problems?

Brittany really misses Santana (Naya Rivera), who is pretty busy with cheerleading practice at the University of Louisville. And it’s kind of putting a strain on their relationship. As Brittany says, it’s really hard to “scissor through a webcam.” Yes, that was Brittany’s best line.

8. Winter is coming!

We knew that the cast of Glee were big fans of Game of Thrones — especially Kevin McHale and Lea Michele — and the Season 4 premiere gives a nod to the HBO drama.

9. Kate Hudson should be a series regular.

Cassandra July might just be our favorite new character of the season. Glee kicks off Season 4 with a glimpse at Rachel’s life at NYADA — starting with dance class. Everyone knows that Cassandra July is hard as nails — but a recommendation from Cassie could get you on Broadway (as a Flying Monkey, but hey, that’s still Broadway!). Of course, Mr. Schue’s little superstar wasn’t quite used to Cassandra’s teaching methods — leading to a brutal introduction. Oh, Rachel. NYADA Rule #1: Never throw shade at your teachers! The Glee cast is growing — but at which character’s expense?

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter to reveal a new cast shot and promo poster for the Fox show’s fourth season, but fans were alarmed when a few of their favorite characters were missing.

Four new characters finally make their Glee debut —  Jake Puckerman (Jacob Artist), Marley (Melissa Benoist), Brody (Dean Geyer) and Kitty (Becca Tobin) — but where is fan favorite Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron)? Naturally, Glee fans were not happy.

What did Murphy have to say about Quinn’s future on Glee? 

“Gleeks, please relax. Dianna is still on the show,” Murphy tweeted. “We love her and have great plans for Quinn. #QuinnFabrayLives”

However, Murphy didn’t explain the whereabouts of Emma (Jayma Mays), Will’s (Matthew Morrison) eccentric fiancée. 

As for the new faces, Marley and Kitty are new McKinley students, while Jake is Puck’s (Mark Salling) younger half-brother and Brody is Rachel’s (Lea Michele) new love interest in New York.

Graduated cast members Michele, Naya Rivera, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Harry Shum, Jr., and Cory Monteith are all featured in the cast photo. With Santana headed to St. Louis for school, Kurt and Rachel chasing their dreams in NYC, and Finn in who-knows-where, that leaves Mercedes and Mike in Los Angeles.

Murphy told reporters in May that all of the previous Glee series regulars would be returning to the show as series regulars in the show’s fourth season — including Agron.

What are your thoughts on the cast photo and its missing castmembers?

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Colfer look pretty chummy in this photo, taken on the set of FOX’s hit Glee. But when the camera starts rolling, it’s back to business. And for Kurt (Colfer), that probably means fetching Isabelle (Parker) a non-fat latte.

When the fourth season of Glee kicks off, a very “bored and aimless” Kurt will leave Lima, Ohio to follow his dreams to New York City. There, as we previously reported, he’ll intern for Vogue.com and work under editor Isabelle Klempt.

What else is in store for Kurt in season four? 

Kurt and Rachel (Lea Michele) will move off the island and into a tiny apartment in Brooklyn, N.Y. Given the pair’s combined gross income, it doesn’t look like these BFFs will be hanging with fabulous Upper East Siders anytime soon.

But thanks to Kurt’s new gig at Vogue, they may be able to look like them. Kurt, with some much needed help from Isabelle, will give Rachel a stylish new makeover. Bye bye colorful headbands and knee socks, hello black.

For Parker, the actress is returning to her fashion-forward Carrie Bradshaw roots. Here’s hoping we get at least one Sex and the City reference in Season 4. For instance, is Rachel a Charlotte who’s trying to hard to be a Samantha? Is Kurt a Miranda or does his fashion sense make him a Carrie? Will Rachel don Carrie’s infamous tutu? The possibilities are endless.

On the upcoming season of Fox’s Glee, it looks like Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is ditching her signature knee-high socks and cardigan for something much sexier. Obviously, Kate Hudson’s character, Cassandra July, must have something to do with this revealing new ensemble.

Michele, 25, posted two sexy photos from the New York set of Glee to Twitter on Wednesday, teasing Rachel’s brand new look. The photos were apparently taken during the show’s anticipated Britney Spears tribute episode. “It’s Britney b#*ch,” Michele teased.

What else is ahead for your favorite characters?

Unfortunately for Finchel fans, Rachel isn’t doing this steamy Britney dance alone. Her dance partner is none other than NYADA hotshot Brody (Dean Geyer). However, in an on-set interview with E! Online, Michele promises that the dance isn’t as flirty as it appears to be.

“We haven’t really been doing too much together,” Michele said, regarding Brody and Rachel’s apparent chemistry. “Rachel asks him to help her with this number and that’s kind of it for now.”

Finchel fans, you may want to avert your eyes for this one.

Glee newbie Dean Geyer has finally entered the picture as Brody, a NYADA upperclassman who has his eye on Rachel. And from the looks of this photo — taken on set in New York — it might be hard for Rachel to resist his advances.

But don’t fret yet. Real-life couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith were also spotted in New York filming scenes for Glee’s forthcoming season, which means that Finn Hudson will visit his lady love Rachel early on in Season 4. Could this mean that the two will rekindle their McKinley romance? Or will she fall for muscleman Brody?

Also Gleeks, from what we can tell, it doesn’t look like Finn is rocking a Army crew cut, so perhaps the former quarterback’s post-high school plans are still up in the air.

As for our favorite fashionisto Kurt Hummel, Chris Colfer is also currently filming in New York. Looks like Kurt isn’t going to let his NYADA rejection get him down. In Season 4, Kurt will head to the city for an internship at Vogue.com. Sarah Jessica Parker will guest-star as Kurt’s Vogue editor, and we can only hope that her character has as much sass as Miranda Priestly. However, at least we know that SJP will look fabulous in her new role; Vogue editor Anna Wintour will serve as her stylist.

It’s also been revealed that Glee’s fourth season will open with Adele’s “Chasing Pavements,” the hit British single from her debut album 19.  The new season will also include guest appearances by Kate Hudson, who will play Rachel’s carefree NYADA dance instructor.

Fabulous frocks, mountains of candy and an uber-exclusive location made FOX’s semi-annual Television Critics Association All-Star Party in Los Angeles extra-sweet on July 23.

From Gleeks to geek girl Zoey Deschanel, the who’s who of FOX’s celebrity stable turned out for the event, held at the members’ only SOHO House. And the stars certainly dressed for the occasion.

Who was the stand out in the style stakes?

Lea Michele, 25, stunned in a vintage-inspired peach Emilio Pucci dress with a plunging neckline at the event, which featured a DJ and a fully stocked candy bar.  She accented her ensemble with a casual braided hairstyle.

The men of Glee – Matthew Morrison, Chord Overstreet, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss and newest cast member Jacob Artist– also stepped up their fashion games, wearing a mix of sophisticated blazers teamed with casual chic tees.

Also making an impression was the quirky-yet-stylish Deschanel, 32; the New Girl star wore a Mad Men-inspired cocktail frock, which was given a modern, and very Deschanel, edge thanks to its huge bow and shimmering gold fabric.

Joining in the fun was Family Man animator and the voice behind Ted, Seth MacFarlane, along with fellow funnyman Jason Gann, who is the man behind the show — and the dog – Wilfred.

Though he’s graduated from McKinley High, Glee star Chris Colfer is still hitting the books — literally.

The 22-year-old actor released his first novel, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell, on Tuesday and has another installment already in the works. The book, which Colfer started writing since the age of 10, centers on a set of twins who fall down a rabbit hole and land in an enchanted world.

“I was obsessed with fairytales, and I was a very, very inquisitive kid, and I would ask my mom all kinds of questions. It all kind of formed a story in my head, and I really wanted to be a published author when I was 10, but I had a hard time writing a novel when I was 10,” Colfer tells MTV. “So I decided to wait until I was little bit older and then get it done.”

However, he’s not the only celeb who has published their own writings.

Hilary Duff, James Franco, and Tina Fey have all taken breaks from acting to put their thoughts on paper for a book.

Colfer, who’s known for his role of Kurt Hummel in FOX’s hit musical comedy show, is no stranger to writing — he also penned the script for 2012 film, Struck By Lightning.

In addition, he wrote a script for The Little Leftover Witch, a Disney Channel pilot based on Florence Laughlin‘s popular book of the same name. The air date has yet to be announced.

“Graduation’s over, but there’s so much more in store!” Glee season 3 certainly saw lots of coming-of-age moments, but the upcoming season 4 looks to be the season of answers.

When we left the New Directions, Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) had not landed a place at the university of his choice (though he did land the audition), though Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) did get accepted to NYADA.

In a promo for the show’s return this Fall, a number of questions flash across the screen: Who Stays? Who Goes? Where’s the wedding? Is Sue ever gonna have that baby? “You’ll have to wait for the graphic birth photos that grace the cover of PEOPLE magazine,” Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) tells Kurt in the promo.

The snippet also gives an idea as to where Will Schuester (Matthew Morrision) and Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) are looking to hold their wedding.

“The KOA campground,” Mr. Schuester shares with none-too-thrilled bride-to-be. “You think I’m going to get married in a campground,” Miss Pillsbury responds. “I have O.C.D.”

While we don’t know how huge of roles the cast will have after graduation, it has been confirmed that all of the characters will return next season. The singing show returns in the fall on a new night and time, Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Lindsay Lohan‘s much-anticipated appearance on Glee is set to air next month, with the 25-year-old actress to star as a judge on the Nationals episode. Although the major details are being kept under wraps, Glee star Chris Colfer is pretty excited for LiLo’s role.

“I can’t say much, but Lindsay is judging the Nationals show choir competition, which is damn funny,” he told Celebuzz in New York during the Tribeca Film Festival.

Aside from some exciting upcoming episodes of Glee, Chris has quite a big year ahead of himself, too. On April 21, the 21-year-old actor debuted his first screenplay, Struck By Lightning, at the Tribeca Film Festival. Feeling the pressure, he admits, “I’m giddy, and I’m terrified. There’s a lot of pressure on this for me.”

At the premiere, he was greeted with cheers and applause from fans and friends, which included Glee co-stars Amber Riley and Ashley Fink and Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.

Although his first screenplay has debuted, Chris isn’t in a hurry to get behind the camera and start directing.

“Writing and producing is my true passion. I never really wanted to direct,” he said. “It’s funny. Everyone wants me to direct. I love to write, produce and am incredibly visual, but directing is not my goal. Maybe if someone called me to direct a film version of Wicked, I’d think about it.”

No official release date has been set for Struck By Lightning, but be sure to catch Lindsay and Chris on the May 15 episode of Glee.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney may be known for their on set pranks but marriage equality is no laughing matter for these talented actors!

On Saturday, the famous best friends banded together to fight for gay rights and marriage equality by performing a benefit reading of 8 at The Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. Written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, the play featured A-listers (and prominent gay rights spokespeople) Chris Colfer, Martin Sheen and, of course, Pitt and Clooney.

 Although the play only ran for one night, the star-studded performance was made available live on YouTube by the American Foundation for Equal Rights. Watch the video above and forward to the 30 minute mark to see the full play!

Would Kurt approve? Beloved Glee gay Chris Colfer has turned to a life of crime! Well, sort of. 

In his first feature film role, the only similarity to his character on the hit show appears to be they are both in high school. Chris wrote the screenplay for the movie, which depicts him as an overachiever with big ambitions. The catch is that he has to blackmail his classmates to achieve them.

SPOILER ALERT: Although it is not revealed in the trailer, the title of the movie is quite literal. The entire movie is a flashback after he’s struck by lightening.

From the looks of these tweets, the New Directions are back at Regionals, but will they be able to take home the title? We sure hope so as most of these Glee gals and guys are in their senior year at McKinley High. 

Lea Michele (aka Rachel Berry) had a little fun with Chris Colfer (aka Kurt) while shooting the scenes by posting some silly pics via Twitter. She wrote: “It’s Regionals time everyone! Sitting next to @chriscolfer :)”

But they weren’t the only ones from Glee to be excited for the championship!

Chord Overstreet also took to his Instagram to show off the show choir program at the Midwest Regionals. From our estimates, we probably have a few more episodes to go before we find out if the Glee club actually wins, but we can predict. Do you think the New Directions will win nationals this time?
