Victoria’s Secret’s Million-Dollar Bras Through the Years (PHOTOS)

For Victoria Secret’s most dedicated buyer (or catalog peruser…), the announcement of which VS angel will don the million-dollar bra during the annual fashion show each year is always a highly-anticipated moment.

The million-dollar bra tradition started in 1996 with Claudia Schiffer, and for any current and aspiring VS angel, being chosen to wear the bra is considered a modeling honor. So who’s the lucky angel this year?

None other than Miranda Kerr! The Aussie bombshell will be sporting the “Treasure Fantasy Bra,” which costs $2.5 million and features 3,500 precious gems.

Miranda joins the runway ranks alongside Adriana Lima, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, who have also worn the coveted lingerie piece. But none could top Gisele Bunchen‘s 2000 “Red Hot Fantasy” bra and panties getup—the entire ensemble cost approximately $15 million, setting the Guiness Book World Record for the most expensive underwear in the world.

Freida Pinto: From ‘Slumdog’ to Chanel Chic

Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freido Pinto upstaged other British beauties at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week at the Grand Palais. Not only did the 24-year-old sit in the front row among other A-listers, but her elegant garb drew many admiring glances. Pinto easily stole the spotlight wearing Chanel’s signature colors in a white knee-length dress with black layered chain detail and stilettos to match.

Pinto jetset from the Milan parties to the front rows of Paris, joining Fashion Week fans Claudia Schiffer and Milla Jovovich. Jovovich made an appearance last week at Roberto Cavalli’s new boutique soiree.

Lily Allen and Kate Moss (who was joined by her boyfriend Jamie Hince) were also in tow. Allen failed to turn many heads with her unflattering pink ensemble paired with unsightly long necklaces. Her outfit brought to mind her recent tour’s wild wardrobe.

Also in attendance: Designer Karl Lagerfeld, who appeared with the models at the end of his fashion collection for the French fashion house.

Blond bombshell Clauda Schiffer was snapped in Milan, Italy, looking just as happy as she’s ever been seen.

She was out shopping with fellow model Eva Herizgova and making a serious dent in her supermodel credit card.

Maybe she got a pair of boots at a really great price, or there was some sort of Prada fire sale. Or maybe she found out that Amex upped her credit line.

Whatever it was, it’s nice to see someone who’s obviously reveling in their heart’s desire.

It shouldn’t be so hard not to look perturbed when you’re getting everything you’ve ever wanted.

Paris Fashion Week tends to bring out the magic in people whose lives are already enchanted.

Naomi Campbell‘s hours of community service and fine for her Heathrow bust-up are a far-off thought as she poses cozily for photos with fellow supermodel Claudia Schiffer. Schiffer has the courage of a lion tamer. She just better make sure to keep her hands off Naomi’s luggage. Kind of a sore spot.

Other fashion giants great and small were in attendance with the legendary Karl Lagerfeld in his signature fingerless wheelchair racing gloves, in silver no less, but opting to leave the fan at home. Oh wait, that’s right. Oprah stole it.

Dior Fashion Show: That’s Haute

Janet Jackson takes her fashion seriously. Ms. Jackson and her man Jermaine Dupri hit up the Dior show in Paris for Fashion Week, rubbing elbows with the newly single Liv Tyler.

When asking for relationship advice, you know Janet told Tyler, “Look, I don’t think you should have told anyone you were married in the first place. I can’t help you. Buy my album.”

Liv looked stunning, continuing to glam up her post-split image, but if she’s not careful in those complicated heels she’s wearing, she’ll end up in foot detox with her dad. It looks like Rachel Zoe‘s camped out on the other side of Liv. Oh Lord, the last thing Tyler needs is an eating disorder. Shoo!

Oh good, looks like Rachel was chatting with Kylie Minogue‘s ex, Olivier Martinez, who is rumored to be reconciled with the Australian pop star. Turns out he just couldn’t get her outta his head.

And holy cow, Nicole Kidman‘s tiny baby bump disappeared. Oh wait, that’s just Claudia Schiffer plain and tall. Maybe she should have borrowed some color from Eva Mendes and her brightly-colored ensemble to cheer up that outfit.
