I’ve never been to Coachella, but this photo of Paris Hilton at the mega-popular music festival over the weekend is the perfect example of my impression of what it must be like to attend. Like, it’s not even really about the music as much as it’s about “being seen” as you wander, probably stoned, between stages. Sounds fun though; see you there next year!

All the kids traveled two-ish hours east of LA for Coachella this year, and Katy Perry joined her friends, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on day one in Indio, CA.

The three hung with a group of people while watching Jurassic 5′s performance last night.  Pattinson wore a hooded sweatshirt while drinking Gatorade, and Stewart hung close by him in printed body-con skirt and backwards cap.

Earlier this week, Stewart and Pattinson celebrated her 23rd birthday with close pals at Janes House in Hollywood.  An eyewitness told Celebuzz that rather than hang in a VIP area, the party stuck to the more public scene.

“They were all hanging out in front of the other guests and looked like they were having a great time together,” the source said.

Veteran Coachella peeps are making way for the budding hipsters to really wave their freak flag this year.

Yesterday, the 2013 Coachella Music Festival kicked off, allowing us to introduce to you the newest members of the Vanessa Hudgens All-Star Coachella Club: Tallulah Willis, 19, and Ireland Baldwin, 17.

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger‘s only daughter (who is drop-dead gorgeous, BTW), busted out her Fourth of July gear for the festival, pairing stars and stripes with motorcycle boots and dandy sunglasses (straight from “Walgreens, baby,” she tweeted).

Bonus points: Her boyfriend, Slater Trout, wore a fanny pack.

And then there’s Willis….

Nothing could be less appealing than the promise of a weekend music festival deep in the (hot, dry) Coachella Valley, where the ticket holders don’t bathe and everyone’s off their rockers on heaven-knows-what.

We’ve all seen evidence of this in years past, with Vanessa Hudgens as the Grand Marshall and Paris Hilton as that aging fan who has no business dressing like such a hipster (*eyes Melanie Griffith in her pantaloons*).

Don’t get me wrong.  With the right line-up and a low occupancy, a music festival can be f-u-n.  However, judging from the pictures I’ve come across of Hudgens spinning around in circles, I don’t have the tolerance for such behavior.

In the words of Jack Donaghy: “Never go with a hippie [or in our case, hipster] to a second location.”

Coachella — and all its hippie-chic festival fashion — is upon us. While we can’t wait to see what the festival’s famous attendees are wearing, one thing’s for certain: You can expect plenty of distressed denim, from torn jeans and cutoffs to chambray jumpers, dresses and mini-skirts.

Coachella Music Festival released its official 2013 lineup on Thursday night, and fans are buzzing with excitement about the A-List acts, which include The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Yeah Yeahs Yeahs, and lots more.

And while you have to wait until mid-April to see them live — Coachella will take place over two weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21 — we’ve provided 10 songs from the roster of bands we’re most pumped to hear (Red Hot Chili Peppers not included, because that’s just too obvious).

Hot weather calls for hot pants among Hollywood’s music loving stars!

The second weekend of the Coachella Music Festival has wrapped and we spotted fashionistas like Kristen Stewart, Emma Roberts and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley all turning up the heat in their shortest pair of shorts both weekends in a row!

Robert Pattinson was among the A-listers that hit up the second weekend of the 2012 Coachella Music Festival.

The 25-year-old Twilight star was spotted dressed down in in a t-shirt, baseball cap and jeans with his gal Kristen Stewart not far behind.

The couple, who are both music lovers were seen cuddling up together as they watched and sang along to performances.

”They were kissing and holding hands during Radiohead, swaying and singing along to parts [of the songs],” an onlooker told Celebuzz of the pair over the weekend.

Kristen, 21, kept a low profile in a dressed down look as well, rocking cutoff shorts, a ripped tee and Rob’s Baltimore Orioles baseball cap.

While the duo is very busy with Kristen about to start promoting for Snow White and the Huntsman and Rob’s new flick Cosmopolis coming up, the two are set to reunite in the upcoming month on the Twilight set in Vancouver for Breaking Dawn: Part Two re-shoots.

Russell Brand who? Love was in the air at week two of the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif., with Katy Perry flaunting her new relationship with Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd. 

Baring her midriff in lavender high-waisted shorts that matched her sheer top and hair, the singer couldn’t stop smiling as she cuddled, kissed and held hands with her tall and handsome boyfriend. 

The two couldn’t keep their hands off each other with the tattooed, British musician even picking up the “ET” singer off the ground at times as she giggled in his ear. Katy, 27, looks to have her mojo back, tweeting:

Looks like Patrick Schwarzenegger remembered to pack his Coachella essentials!

The 18-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen attending the third day of the popular musical festival in Indio, Calif. on Sunday, and beat the heat by sporting a trendy blue tank top. Joined by a group of friends, he was seen dancing as they walked around and soaked up the sun.

According to his Twitter, P-Schwarz had a great time!

One of the biggest moments of the three-day long festival took place when a hologram of late rapper 2Pac took the stage to rap with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Patrick tweeted about it and said:

Literally thought that tupac rose from the dead… That tupac hologram at the dre and snoop concert was sooooo crazy

Jamie Chung & Bryan Greenberg: The Hangover 2 star and How to Make it in America actor attended the A|X Armani Exchange and T-Mobile Neon Carnival together, and as Celebuzz was the first to tell you, the two recently started dating. Talk about a good looking couple!

Vanessa Hudgens & Austin Butler: This duo rarely came up for air! Every time they were spotted together, we’re told Vanessa and Austin were either making out or cuddling on the grass. From the raver Sahara tent to the beer gardens, this duo never left each other’s sides– or mouths!

Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder: The Vampire Diaries stars have been going strong for years, and have never looked happier! The duo, who came more for the music than the party scene, were spotted holding hands and kissing throughout the weekend. They actually spent most of their time with Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson. Love that they were double dating!

Emma Watson & Will Adamowicz: The Harry Potter darling made her first public appearance with her new beau on Saturday, kissing while watching Radiohead. 

Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet: These two have been back together for a few weeks and made no effort to hide it while attending Coachella together. From making out at the polo fields, to dancing the night away at the neon carnival, this duo looks happier than ever to be back together.

Rihanna is no stranger to showing off her stuff, so why should her performance at the 2012 Coachella Festival over the weekend be any different?

The “S&M” singer, 24, sure looked like she was in a hopeless place on stage as she rocked a midriff shirt that read “Peace” across the chest. She wore it with a pair of studded denim short-shorts.

With the famed music festival this weekend, Celebuzz put together Coachella Style Must Haves –inspired by a few of our favorite celebrities!

Australian actress Isabel Lucas found the perfect way to embrace Coachella fashion without succumbing to overly skimpy outfits and tired hipster trends. The Transformers star paired a peach maxi dress with a light knit cropped top, leaving the actress cool and comfortable in the desert heat while still looking stylish in a sea of denim daisy dukes and tank tops.

By mixing a cropped shirt with a shapeless dress, Isabel was able to add some dimension to her outfit without adding accessories. This outfit is perfect for those hot summer days when you don’t want to expose too much skin!

Hello, handsome! Penn Badgley showed off his manly chest hair over the weekend at the Coachella music festival, where he brought some heat of his own to the Southern California desert! 

The Gossip Girl heartthrob recently put clothes on to help launch  H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS line, which will be donating 25% of sales of the new line to youth HIV / AIDS projects around the world. Celebuzz has a look at the styles available in our H&M charity line gallery.

Penn says of the effort:

“I think it’s good to keep young people, all people, aware about HIV. It’s something that’s it’s easy to forget about. It’s a serious issue and it affects so many people. It’s not just restricted to any community. The more awareness, the better and the safer we can all be. People need to be sensitive and safe, a lot of times it’s easy to let that go.”

Katy Perry hung up the latex for a weekend and stepped out in a loose fitting getup for the Coachella music festival this weekend.

The pop star tweeted little music reviews throughout the festival. Katy was especially fond of a Swedish pop star, writing:

“ROBYN IS THE ILLEST.”

She later tweeted a review of indie group Empire of the Sun, saying they were “kinda beyond what you could ever imagine.” Lastly, she expressed her excitement for Kanye West, writing:

 ”And then Kanye played all the hits and we were #living!”

Kanye is featured on Katy’s song “ET.”
