Remember how just a few years ago Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would barely acknowledge that he’d seen an R-rated movie, let alone starred in dozens? A beacon of responsible citizenship and good, sound, electable morals, Ahnuld did his very best to distance himself from whatever mercenary/robot/solider/barbarian/super-villain he might have portrayed in the past.

Until, of course, his term ended and he immediately signed on to about 35 high-body-count action flicks.

Having appeared briefly in last year’s sequel to The Expendables, Schwarzenegger’s first major starring role hits screens this month with The Last Stand. And to prepare for the return of everybody’s favorite aging death machine, we’ve put together a list of Arnold’s must-see films.

Everyone seems to have a favorite Schwarzenegger movie, or at least a favorite role; we admit we doubled-up on his Terminator character by targeting the second film in the series, Judgment Day. Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming back to crush more enemies.

The 65-year-old is headed back to the big screen in The Legend of Conan, reprising the musclular, sword-swinging warrior character that launched his mainstream movie acting career. According to Deadline, the film will extend the Universal Pictures franchise that starred Schwarzenegger in 1982′s Conan the Barbarian and then in 1984′s Conan The Destroyer.

“I always loved the Conan character and I’m honored to be asked to step into the role once again,” Schwarzenegger, who appeared in this year’s The Expendables 2, told Deadline. ”I can’t wait to work with Universal and the great team of Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story.”

Though the film has no director or screenwriter on board yet, producer Chris Morgan (who wrote the last three famed Fast and Furious movies) may wield the pen for Conan if his schedule permits. Universal is aiming for a summer 2014 release date.

The Legend of Conan storyline will not take into account the failed Millennium Films’ 2011 remake of Conan the Barbarian, starring Game of Thrones‘ Jason Momoa as the prehistoric hero. Instead, the new adventure flick will pick up where Conan the Destroyer left off.

“The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make,” producer Fredrik Malmberg told Deadline. “It’s that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle.”

Not that we blame her, but it sounds like Rose McGowan has a bit of a crush on her Conan costar (and total hottie) Jason Momoa!

The actress, who plays a powerful witch called Marique,  reveals in a new interview with The Advocate that she was quite visually stimulated by the Hollywood hottie.

There is quite a bit of exposed skin in the upcoming movie (clothes were apparently scarce in olden times), which allowed Rose to get quite an eyeful.

“Jason’s ass is epic,” she says unabashedly. “When I saw his backside naked, I was like, Oh, my. He’s got a beautiful body, because it’s not all Mr. Steroid. He looks raw and masculine.”

That seems to be just her type! “I like people who are fit,” she adds. “I figure if I work out, you can at least return the favor. Would I go out with a meathead? No”
