Robert Pattinson made yet another stop on his whirlwind media blitz Wednesday night. This time, however, he didn’t have to talk about the “K” word: his estranged girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

Jimmy Kimmel and Pattinson bro’d out, chatting about sex, fast cars and… Craigslist? As it turns out, the 26-year-old star spends his Twilight fortune on Craigslist finds.

“I buy everything off Craigslist… My friends, that’s what I was initially looking on it for,” Pattinson joked, before telling Kimmel about the time he tried to haggle his car’s $2,500 price tag.

But what did Pattinson have to say about those raunchy Cosmopolis sex scenes?

Kimmel then likened one scene in Cosmopolis to a “prostate exam,” as Pattinson seemed visibly “upset” during the sexual encounter.

“Someone was telling me about this vein that comes out of my forehead that only ever happens when very good things happen or very, very bad things,” Pattinson said. “I have no idea which one [this scene] is classified as.”

The down-to-earth star  also told Kimmel that while riding his bike, he stumbled upon an area in Los Angeles notorious for “dogging.”

“I used to turn up at this parking lot lookin’ at everyone like, ‘Why are all these guys sittin’ around in their cars all the time?’ And I’m goin’ there everyday kinda thinkin’ nothing of it, coming out in my little Lycra pants, and one day there was a big raid,” he explained.

While Kimmel made no mention of Stewart or the cheating scandal that ended their relationship last month, the late night host did ask Pattinson about his current living situation. Pattinson moved out of the L.A. lovenest he shared with Stewart after news of her affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

“I rented this archway,” Pattinson joked. “And I just live behind it. In one of those trash cans.”

Robert Pattinson is back on the big screen Friday — but in a world far, far away from Twilight.

In director David Cronenberg‘s philosophical new dark drama, Cosmopolis, Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a 28-year-old billionaire finance honcho who drifts across New York City in a technologically advanced limo on his way to get a haircut.

The role is Pattinson’s latest step away from his Edward Cullen persona. His past non-Twilight projects, however –such as Remember Me, Bel Ami and Water for Elephants – have struggled.

Pattinson’s promotion of the film has been overshadowed — at least, in part — by the headline-grabbing scandal surrounding his relationship with longtime love Kristen Stewart, who admitted to an affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last month.

But Pattinson has effectively — if awkwardly at times — dodged prying questions about his personal life throughout his recent publicity blitz, which kicked off Monday on The Daily Show.

So the still question remains: can ‘Cosmopolis’ — adapted from Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel — draw ticket sales from Pattinson’s die-hard ‘Twilight’ fans?

So far, reviews of Cosmopolis — and Pattinson — are mixed. While Gawker finds the film “hypnotic,” the Associated Press‘ no-holds-barred review deems it “lifeless [and] stagey.” As for Pattinson, the Huffington Post claims the “dull actor” is “reduced to a piece of furniture,” while The Daily Beast applauds his “impressively self-assured performance.”

Film Journal: “The claustrophobia of it all actually works to Cronenberg’s advantage, highlighting the knife-like performances and emphasizing the surprisingly effective notes of deadpan comedy. Cosmpolis loses some of its energy later when the action departs more from the tightened actors’ studio of the limo. But Cronenberg still maintains his tone of ironic prophecy, showing a world being spun towards chaos by a furiously accelerating present.”

LA Weekly: “Cronenberg, the great auteur of the divided self, seems to run out of fuel after that, even as the story’s structure gives him further opportunity to explore his pet themes. To the extent that Cosmopolis functions as a super-literal conceptual exercise, it’s simultaneously irritating and fascinating. But much of the film fails to function as drama, and never more so than in the interminable final scene, a two-hander in which Packer finally confronts his would-be assassin in what could be rooms of his own mind.”

Huffington Post: “…Whenever he strays outside the Twilight compound, Pattinson is a dull actor who projects no interior life or even the semblance of thought…. In the company of actual actors, Pattinson is reduced to a piece of furniture, most of which displays more expressiveness than the immortal R-Patz. As one would expect from Cronenberg, there are sudden moments of shocking violence to go with the moments of unsexy sex. None of it will distract you from the fact that this limo, like the whole enterprise titled Cosmopolis, is going nowhere.”

Gawker: “Cosmopolis doesn’t want to incense you—it wants to chill your blood…. But with Cosmopolis, Pattinson portrays a different kind of vampire, an inhuman monster who lives off others’ hard work and has to barricade himself away from the masses… so Pattinson falls into a fine tradition of Hollywood celebrities screwing with their fans’ heads…. The characters in Cosmopolis aren’t user-friendly and aren’t meant to be. But once you get into the film’s peculiar rhythms, Cosmopolis becomes hypnotic — a surreal, hyper-aware updating of our modern anxieties about the dehumanization brought on by wealth, power and technology.”

Entertainment Weekly: “Pale and predatory, Pattinson delivers his frigid pensées with rhythmic confidence, but he’s not playing a character, he’s playing an abstraction: the evil genius of finance who flies too close to the sun. After a while Eric finally meets a force he can’t control — the man who may be trying to kill him, played by Paul Giamatti with the only semblance of spontaneity in the movie. But who cares what happens? Cronenberg has already killed off his protagonist. Or at least he has snuffed out any shred of interior life in him.”

Associated Press: “Lifeless, stagey and lacking a palpable subversive pulse despite the ready opportunities offered by the material, Cosmopolis is a stillborn adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel that will initially attract some Robert Pattinson fans but will be widely met with audience indifference…. Pattinson doesn’t help matters by revealing nothing behind the eyes and delivering nearly all his lines with the same rhythm and intonations, plus repetitive head nods in the bargain. It’s a tough character that perhaps a young Jeremy Irons could have made riveting, but Pattinson is too bland and monotonous to hold the interest.”

Indiewire: “This in part explains why Cosmopolis is such a triumph: it’s both an exceptional adaptation and a remarkable work unto itself.”

Daily Beast: “The good news is that he’s actually good — or at least utterly believable — in Cosmopolis. As young billionaire Eric Packer, Pattinson delivers a tightly controlled and impressively self-assured performance. With the performance free of the overwrought mannerisms — the weird faces, the emotional outbursts — that give his critics most of their ammunition, the biggest complaint one could have about Pattinson’s work here is that it’s too restrained.”

Robert Pattinson continued his post-scandal Cosmopolis press tour on Wednesday, smiling and stammering through personal questions from George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America.

“Jon Stewart gave you some ice cream, so we did our research and it’s more appropriate for breakfast, we have your favorite cereal,” said Stephanopoulos, offering the Twilight star some Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

“It’s only 30 calories,” Pattinson, 26, joked while reading the nutritional label. “I’m going to take the whole box.”

Then Stephanopoulos dove right in to the question on everyone’s mind.

The host broached the touchy topic of Pattinson’s longtime love Kristen Stewart cheating on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman helmer, Rupert Sanders.

Trying to get the “elephant in the room out of the way,” Stephanopoulos gently asked, “How are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?

“Uh, you know, they seem pretty excited about whatever, ” said a smiling Pattinson, looking out at the thousands of screaming fans outside the window. Stuttering a bit, Pattinson joked, “Um, I’d like my fans to know Cinnamon Toast Crunch only has 30 calories a bowl!” And he added, “Pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is pretty much irrelevant.”

Stephanopoulos asked the Cosmopolis star how he’s handling the press about the headline-grabbing scandal. “I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life,” he continued. “…The reason you go on TV… [is] to promote movies. That’s the only way to do it.”

After his many years in the spotlight, does he ever get used to all the media mayhem?

“No, I think if you start to get used to it, you go crazy,” he said. “But it’s nice. It’s like being on the craziest theme park ride. … It’s totally exciting, but eventually, at some point you’ve got to have like a break.”

“You seem to doing OK?” said Stephanopoulos. “Yeah,” Pattinson said simply.

And as Pattinson has continued his promotion of the upcoming David Cronenberg drama Cosmopolis — hitting theaters Aug. 17  — the actor has reportedly landed the role of T.E. Lawrence, the charismatic British Army officer famed as Lawrence of Arabia, in the cast of Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert, according to Variety.

The day has finally arrived, Twi-Hards: Robert Pattinson’s first interview since Kristen Stewart branded herself a cheater and left their relationship in ruins.

Last month, the 22-year-old broke the heartthrob’s heart after she admitted to an affair with Snow White & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

On Monday, Pattinson sat down with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s Daily Show as the first on-screen interview of his Cosmopolis promotional tour. And although some believed that the subject of Stewart would be off-limits, details from the audience prove that wasn’t really the case.

Here are five details that have been leaked about Pattinson on The Daily Show.

1. Keep it on the down low. Pattinson apparently had pretty heavy security going in to the studio. “No one saw him in person,” one fan tweeted. “No one… Three security guards walked OUTSIDE of his SUV to assure no one could get near it. Paparazzi boo’ed (some fans too).”

2. Hotter after heartbreak. If the star has been hiding out, we can all use a similar vacation. But while tanned and looking “fit” as the Brits call their hotties, the 26-year-old still had a certain air of being shell-shocked. “He looked put-together,” an audience member tells Life & Style. “He took the time to clean up, but he definitely looked a little startled to be in public.”

3. Laughter helps with the healing? Stewart reportedly referred to the breakup saying, “The world has ended.” And the star replied, “It has.” He then nervously laughed, “That was my attempt at a joke.”

4. Tough love. As the elder Hollywood statesman, Stewart dished out his best and sobering point of view on the situation. “You’re better off. Kick her to the curb!” Really sensitive, Stewart.

5. Sometimes, you need to ask for help. Pattinson has apparently never hired a publicist during his rise to stardom as the star of the Twilight series. So, this should give you an idea of how bad the media storm became surrounding the breakup.  According to Zap2it’s sources in the audience, the star said he would be hiring a PR rep. Stewart had another suggestion: A time machine. Ouch.

In a feature about the franchise’s upcoming final film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, director Bill Condon addresses the scandal plaguing Pattinson and Stewart’s three-year romance, after incriminating photos of Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, surfaced last month, forcing her to admit to an affair.

What does Condon have to say about the embattled longtime lovers?

“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it%u2019s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” Condon told EW. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon.”

“Above all,” he continued, “they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

But as the final installment nears it November 16 debut date, it remains seen how its top stars Pattinson and Stewart will deal with an international press tour and red carpets. But Summit, the studio releasing the film, has confirm all promotion is a-go. Nancy Kirkpatrick, the company’s head of worldwide marketing, said, “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead.”

Now in a step away from Edward Cullen, Pattinson is next up in in the David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis, a twisty adaptation of a Don DeLillo novel about Gatsby-esque, whiz-kid billionaire Eric Packer who’s world turns upside down in a single day.

In new stills from the upcoming film, which hits theaters August 17, a gun-wielding Packer appears in an abandoned alley; in a hallway flashing his revolver at Benno Levin’s doorway (Paul Giamatti); and in the street leaning on his graffiti-littered limo as paparazzi snap photos of him.

Well, it’s clearly a whole new media world when ABC’s Good Morning America gets scooped not by NBC’s Today, but Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

Earlier Tuesday, GMA reportedly had the bragging rights to Robert Pattinson’s first TV appearance post-Kristen Stewart breakup. But, that isn’t the case now.

A Comedy Central rep confirms to Celebuzz that Pattinson will appear on Monday’s episode of The Daily Show as first reported by GossipCop.com.

This would be Pattinson’s second time on the pop culture news show. His first appearance was in March 2010.

Pattinson is promoting his new film, Cosmopolis, from director David Cronenberg, which hits theatres on August 17.

Despite reports that he would cancel appearances in light of the recent cheating scandal surrounding the Twilight co-stars breakup after four years, the 26-year-old’s rep says he’s going through with his press commitments for the movie.

He’ll appear on ABC’s Good Morning America on Wednesday, August 15.

Robert Pattinson is ready to break his silence (presumably) on television.

Following weeks of lying low after learning of girlfriend Kristen Stewart‘s tryst with married director Rupert Sanders, the Twilight actor is set to give his first sit-down interview since news of Stewart’s affair broke on Good Morning America on August 15.

Pattinson is scheduled to appear on the ABC show to talk about his latest film, Cosmopolis. But the live interview could mark the first time Stewart’s estranged boyfriend will address the scandal that’s shook the Twi-hard universe.

While it’s the first time he’s speaking, it’s not the first time he’s been seen.

Pattinson stepped out on Saturday to let loose with a few pals at country-western bar The Deer Lodge in Ojai, Calif., where he’s been holed up at his Water for Elephant costar Reese Witherspoon‘s off-the-grid ranch estate.

And according to fellow partygoer, Julie Demdam, Pattinson was not drowning in sorrows during his night out.

“Robert Pattinson and his friends are at The Deer Lodge getting wasted,” she wrote on her Twitter. “Rob is with some panty droppers. They’re on the dance floor dancing like crazy.”

“He wasn’t moping and the girls were definitely just his friend,” she continued. “The girls were drunk and literally danced on the floor. He wasn’t drunk. Just taking in the scene. Smoked next to him outside.”

Now as people mark their calendars for August 15, the question looms large: Will Pattinson open up about his Stewart heartbreak on GMA?

He certainly wouldn’t be the first star to tackle scandal in an interview.

After a drug-addled downward spiral landed her in rehab, actress Lindsay Lohan faced the world on Extra, saying, “I have to build my way back up.” R&B singer Chris Brown stormed off the set of Good Morning America after co-anchor Robin Roberts asked him about his domestic abuse incident with Rihanna. When asked by MTV News back in April what he thought of his new leading lady, R-Pattz answered, “I’ve seen a couple of things she’s done. She’s really good. She has a great face. … I haven’t talked to her yet, but I think it’s going to be a great cast.”

As if you didn’t already think Pattinson was a total sweetheart, just yesterday he melted our hearts by telling Italian Vanity Fair that he “doesn’t understand why people cheat.”

While you may not get Rob discussing his relationship with Kristen Stewart (“my private life is off-limit” he said earlier this week), Pattinson did reveal he is not one for “short and superficial love affairs” or “casual relationships.”

Well, there is nothing casual about Rob and Kristen’s relationship. Just because R.Pattz has a female costar (and there are sure to be many more in his future) there is no need to worry Twi-hards.

A restaurant source at Rockwell’s in Squamish, BC, where Breaking Dawn is currently being filmed confirmed to Celebuzz that Rob and Kristen were in attendance at a private cast dinner there earlier this week.

“They were in with a group of people and have come in before,” a restaurant source confirms. “Rob and Kristen are a very polite couple.”

While our employee source stayed mum on details to “respect their privacy,” tweeters at the restaurant say Pattinson and Stewart were kissing throughout dinner.

We’re inclined to believe them!

Kristen Stewart may be his off-screen lover, but there’s a new Bella winning Robert Pattinson‘s heart in his upcoming feature. 

Meet 23-year-old up-and-comer Sarah Gadon.  The Toronto-based actress will star alongside Pattinson in the film Cosmopolis, adapted from Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name. Prior to landing this role, Gadon auditioned for Snow White and the Huntsman, but the part reportedly went to none other than K. Stew. 

According to Deadline.com, Gadon plays the estranged wife of Eric Packer (Pattinson) in a futuristic city. The story follows Eric as he gets caught in the crosshairs of an assassin after her decides to bet his entire fortune. Also set to star in the film, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Mathieu Amalric.

But Twihards don’t have to wait for Cosmopolis to get their R-Patz fix. The Twilight heartthrob stars alongside Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants, hitting theaters April 22.
